Nature & Parks
Sunset Beach Park in Fish Creek is a popular spot for witnessing breathtaking sunsets over Green Bay. The park offers unobstructed views of the sun setting on the lake horizon, with clear skies showcasing vibrant colors. Visitors can relax on benches or at a picnic table while taking in the stunning scenery. Despite its name, this charming park is also enjoyable during the morning hours and provides a serene shoreline to explore.
Beautiful spot for pictures of Green Bay and great public dock walk out to throw in some nice fishing for smallmouth bass

I LOVE SUNSET BEACH PARK!! one of the best places for epic sunsets and romantic spots for you & your special someone.
Jim — Google review
Perfect place to grab a seat and watch one of mother natures best shows. If you get there early you can likely get a seat on one of the benches or picnic tables. Seating is limited so bring a chair or blanket, or just sit on the rock wall ledge to watch the sunset. Prepare to clap at the end of the show. So nice to see so many people gather and be kind to each other while watching.
Lisa H — Google review
Very pretty sunset. Get there early though as good spots to sit fill up quickly!
Jake C — Google review
Absolutely amazing place to watch the sunset. So far my best sunset in lake. Sun can be seen setting in lake horizon, with no obstacles and with a clear horizon view and open space it looks gorgeous. The sky colors can be seen really well. There's a small area to sit and watch the sunset and a little stone wall alongside the lake. We went when the lake was frozen completely and the sunset was extra special. Would love to visit again in different seasons. In general also, there are great views aside from the sunset. Some parking space is also available. A must visit if you are around this area.
JoJo E — Google review
Quaint small green space with seating overlooking Green Bay. Arrive at sunset for the namesake experience. No parking, you will need to walk a short distance from nearby on-street parking.
GeorgeBarb — Google review
Didnt see the sunset (cloudy) but the view was still awesome.

It's in the name. Watch the sunset. Worth a visit.

Step back in time and immerse yourself in the Victorian era at the Alexander Noble House Museum, located in Fish Creek, Door County. This historic 19th-century home offers guided tours showcasing period furniture and exhibits that depict life during that time. As one of the oldest remaining structures in Fish Creek, it provides a fascinating glimpse into the region's history. The house is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is open for daily tours from June to mid-October.
I visited here at night as part of a trolley ghost tour. The docent gave us an interesting background of the previous owners. There were interesting antiques upstairs.
Jessica R — Google review
Gorgeous, very well preserved and renovated home! The tour guide was friendly and knowledgeable. My favorite sights were all the different outfits they have on display - genuine 1800s clothing worn by the Noble family, and in pristine condition! It's free to walk around on your own, and just $5 cash for each person for the tour.
Christmas B — Google review
I went to the Alexander Noble House while on a trolley tour. It was in the evening and only a few rooms were open to us, but those rooms were gorgeous! I really loved the wallpaper. The Victorian wedding displays were very pretty as well. The dresses and cakes were fun to look at and compare. I definitely want to go back during the day when the whole house is open.
Allison F — Google review
My daughter and I visited, she had a great time, she was interested especially in the reported ghost sightings, the docent was a really knowledgeable and kind lady that exhibited great patience in listening to my daughter and showing us the property, definitely a nice place to visit.
Zackaryah N — Google review
Very well maintained house beautifully decorated and preserved. Seldom have we visited historic homes that have stayed in the same family. The guide for our tour provided not only the house and families history but also included historical content for the period. Nice experience.
Rodney — Google review
We went in the evening as part of a trolley tour, so our visit was pretty quick. We didn't capture any ghosts in our photos. Maybe next time.
Jennifer E — Google review
I'm a docent at the Noble House. I get to dress in costume and lead tours. We have a 3-year cycle of displays. This year, 2022, we are doing A House In Mourning: Victorian Funerals. Next year, we'll be doing Victorian Weddings, and the year after that, A Glimpse of Old Fish Creek. Those are the day tours. At night, there is a trolley in Fish Creek that stops at the Noble House on a ghost tour 7 days a week. The day tours go from Tuesday through Sunday from 10:00-3:00, and each tour lasts from 20-30 minutes. The entrance fee is $5/person and is used to help maintain the house. I give a rollicking good tour if I do say so myself!
Denise F — Google review
My husband and I visited the Alexander Noble House and it was so beautiful! Seeing the artifacts and design of the house was phenomenal. It is a very great way to take a walk back into history.

Inn
The White Gull Inn is a charming Victorian B&B located in Fish Creek, offering quaint rooms and cottages. The inn features an intimate historic restaurant where guests can enjoy the famous Door County Cherry Stuffed French Toast, recognized as the Best Breakfast in America on Good Morning America. Additionally, visitors can experience traditional Wisconsin fish boils at the elegant resort. With its restored 1896 property and proximity to boutiques and cafes, the inn provides a full taste of Door County's charm.
I did not stay here, I only had lunch on a quiet Friday. A lot of tourists around on this beautiful summer day, but not overwhelming It was lovely, every moment, from the kind host guiding me to a lovely table by a window to my excellent service by Aggie. She did not oversell the chicken curry. It was excellent, and so was the house made bread and salad house dressing. Just as she promised. A lovely stop on my first visit to Fish Creek for a writing conference today. I can't speak about the rooms, but the restaurant and lobby are charming indeed. Located on a beautiful quiet dead end street near the beach and boat docks. Highly recommended

We arrived around 11 on a Saturday morning and got on the wait list with an estimate of 1.5 hours to be seated. Works for us because there is a cute little park at the end of the street and plenty of shops to explore while we waited. They texted us when our table was ready and we headed back to the historical building. We sat inside. It was well air conditioned and the table was a good size for our family. The vibe is historic beach town. Our server was very attentive and able to accommodate a few substitutions we asked for. My kids had the cherry soda and really enjoyed it. I had the cherry stuffed French toast, which is a generous serving and a side of bacon. Their bacon was super delicious with a maple flavor to it. Everyone else in my party got omelets and bread that came with cherry preserves. The entire table were part of the empty plate clubs by the time we were done. My husband also got a side of hashbrowns that were crispy and not greasy, very well prepared. Great quality food. We left full and even after shopping at several other areas throughout Door County and trying to walk off the calories we were all too full for dinner that night.
Stacy D — Google review
I love stopping at White Gull Inn for breakfast! They have the best cherry pancakes and great service. I also enjoy their cherry juice & lime seltzer drinks. Next time I stop in, I want to try their famous stuffed French toast! Note before you go: it's usually a 45 minute - 1 1/2 hour wait time for a table during peak seasons. I went on a Sunday morning in the middle of October during the Egg Harbor Pumpkin Patch event. They were very busy and I waited about an hour and fifteen for a table for two. While we waited, we checked out the water view and stopped in a few boutiques. The host texted us when a table was ready.
Michelle — Google review
We ate breakfast and had the famous cherry stuffed french toast. SO delicious. We sat outside which was a mistake because there are berry trees near the patio that brought out the bees. The restaurant had a table fan so that helped shoo them away but bees love sweets. I was very happy to go back. Next time I will sit inside.
Wendy B — Google review
We made reservations for the Fish Boil and it is our favorite place to experience that event. Very fun show and back ground history of Fish Creek and how fish boils came to be. So fun to watch the boil - the evening was beautiful - had a drink at the outside bar and sat on nice patio furniture until the boil was over. Then headed inside to our table. It was nice that the hostess let one member of our group as to where our table was located. Once seated - the server was so attentive! Nice experience once again!!!!Thank you!
Lynn W — Google review
Breakfast was and has THE BEST cherry stuffed French toast! A must try! Fish boil always impressive and relish! Can't beat eating whitefish caught that morning. Our favorite place in Door County. ❤️❤️❤️
Lori S — Google review
The White Gull Inn has set a top standard for local inns and restaurants in the Door County Region. Long established as top-notch accommodations, while at the same time intertwining a well done public restaurant through it all and offering authentic Door County Fish Boils. The attention to details, as well as a helpful, informed and friendly staff, combine to make your experience at The White Gull Inn both enjoyable and relaxing. Thanks so much to the staff and ownership of White Gull Inn, well done. KUDOS!!!
Jim H — Google review
My husband and I visited late August and decided to try our first fish boil. The White Gull Inn did not disappoint! The presentation and history of the fish boil was shared while we watched outside, then it was time for dinner. The white dish, potatoes, coleslaw were fabulous and flavorful. Dessert was a door county cherry pie a la mode. This was one of the most reasonably priced meals we had on the trip and one of the most memorable. We had been to White Gull previously for their stuffed french toast and that is 100% worth it as well. We will be back!

We stopped in on a Sunday, late morning for breakfast. The food and service were just average. Possibly below average if you take into account that I had to send my over easy eggs back for being greatly undercooked. The gluten-free toast, which they warned me, was made in their regular toaster, was incredibly dry. I believe it was Shaar (from my own experience), which is incredibly dry when toasted. The corned beef hash is home made, and very flavorful. The service and atmosphere were just run-of-the-mill. I would not recommend this restaurant over most others in the area.

We ate here 3 times during our 5 day trip. Their breakfast is awesome and for a good price! We of course had to go to a fish boil which was also great! We can’t wait to come back next year!
Brook L — Google review
Had the Door County fish boil experience here and the crowds are big so be sure to call in advance for a reservation spot. The boil itself was interesting and cool to see. The food itself was okay — everything could’ve used more seasoning and flavor. The fish was fresh and had great texture. The rest was fine and the bread was very dry and uneaten for the most part. The cherry pie for dessert was very good with an excellent crust.

Beach
Fish Creek Beach is a small yet charming sandy beach located in Fish Creek, WI. Situated on a scenic lake with boats dotting the water, this beach also features an adjacent grassy park. Despite its size, it offers a peaceful swimming spot away from crowded waters and other activities due to buoys that keep it cordoned off. The addition of a new handicapped-accessible pier provides visitors with expansive views of the harbor and Peninsula State Park across the way.
Shel Silverstein would be proud as the sidewalk abruptly ends... not sure why but it was amusing. The beach is quaint but big enough for small gathering a pier to watch sunsets or just listen to the waves and watch the sail boats.
Paul A — Google review
I loved the sandy beach, and there is also plenty of grass, and picnic tables in the area. There is also a small play structure for the kids. There are nearby restrooms, restaurants and cute stores. The view of the water was beautiful and there were plenty of places to sit and just relax. This is a laid-back area of Door County.
Kris E — Google review
We happened upon this sweet, little beach after eating at the Blue Horse Beach Cafe. We wish we had brought the kid’s swimsuits, because the shallow water was warmer than expected. It was small, clean, and there were very few people there. It seemed like a place locals go, which is kind of special. The bathrooms are very clean and nice. The kids could have spent hours here.
K P — Google review
Newly landscaped, with a new parking lot and individual bathroom stalls in a new building, the revamping of this village Park was comprehensive. The height of the water in Lake Michigan makes the sandy beach almost non-existent, but it appears that the park is going to be very accessible to the public.
Merriel — Google review
Nice public beach in Fish Creek with playground. Little kids will love this. Some construction is going on next door. I think they may be adding public restrooms or changing rooms. This is located almost right across from the blue horse coffee shop.
Daniel K — Google review
Very beautiful here, but fair warning - there is no beach as of Summer 2020. Look at the photos on here in chronological order, you'll see the beach get smaller every year and now, there is no beach at all. However, really nice grassy area to relax and take in beautiful views, and very nice new bathrooms. The edge of the grassy area is some big rocks then the lake has taken over the beach and goes right up to the limestone. There is not one inch of exposed sand - it's all underwater.
Adam R — Google review
A small but very pleasant beach. Sandy but then there are rocks upon entering the water. It is shallow for a ways out, so it is good for kids. There are rest rooms and changing rooms plus a nice dock to admire the boats.
Jenny S — Google review
Beautiful location. Lots of geese have moved in and the fake alligator heads don't seem to phase them. I'm not sure how geese would learn to be afraid of alligators anyway.😂🤣 This is a lovely area despite the geese.

Pizza restaurant
American restaurant
Wild Tomato Wood-Fired Pizza & Grille Fish Creek is a popular family-friendly restaurant known for its delicious wood-fired pizzas, sandwiches, and burgers made from locally sourced ingredients. The pizzeria takes pride in using organic produce, locally raised meats, and cheeses from nearby farms to create their signature hand-tossed pizzas with a distinct smoky flavor from the wood-fired oven.
Great place to grab a salad and some pizza or other Italian foods. We ended up sharing a large pizza between the 3 of us with a family sized salad and everything was delicious with enough food for everyone in our party, every thing was very good and I think the only complaint was it would be nice to have a bit more cheese in the salad which is very trivial, I would definitely go back in the future!! Also keep in mind if you're heading here it gets very busy later in the day so getting there early or parking out back of the shop are your two best options as it really can fill up tight.
David V — Google review
We had a great time here! Delicious food—probably the best pizza in Door County. The fun guy (mushroom) pizza was excellent. The green & gold pizza was also yummy. The cheese curds weren’t as gooey as I prefer, but the batter was great, and they definitely squeaked! The ranch could be better, but it was still good. We were seated outside (soonest available), and the area could definitely used some fans to cool it down and keep bugs away. It was a hot day, and there was a 30-min wait, but it was overall worth the wait!
Inez Y — Google review
Great spot for wood-fired pizza! We sat outside on the dog-friendly patio and loved the atmosphere. The pizza sauce was so good we ended up buying some jars for home. We ordered the D-Lux pizza, which really hit the spot—the house-made sausage on it was especially delicious. Highly recommend if you’re craving great pizza and a relaxed setting.
Donita M — Google review
The pizza was perfect, per usual! I highly recommend the hot honey za, it was a fan favorite in our group! The family style caesar salad was enough to feed a party, and there were only six of us. Unfortunately, the service wasn’t great. The majority of employees seemed to be teenagers and there seemed to be a lack of management. Our waitress took a long time to greet us, didn’t check in while we were eating to see how the food was, etc. Yet the food outweighed the lack of service in the end. Hopefully it was just an off night for the staff. We would happily visit again!
Ava K — Google review
A perfect lunch in a friendly place. The wood fired Hot Honey pizza was incredible. BEST cheese curds ever. The lemonade was refreshing and the service we had was great! Our waiter was from Romania and he was fantastic. Thank you!
Merideth K — Google review
It pains me to write this but I do this constructive criticism out of love and hope that the new owners will take the feedback to heart and improve the quality of the Door County institution they have taken over and degraded. I have been coming to WT for many many years, I know exactly how its supposed to taste and after a trip last fall and again over the weekend, its clear this is not the same quality of pizza anymore. I’ll share pics, the first is recent and the second two from 2-3 years ago and while they look similar you can tell the previous are far superior. I went to the Fish Creek location on Sunday and ordered a Margherita, it came out way too fast, like 10 minutes and was barely warm. It had to be just sitting under a heat lamp. The sauce was skimpy and flavorless, the dough was mixed poorly, had too much flour left and was just cardboardy, the cheese did not have any flavor and neither did the basil, there was no sea salt sprinkled on. Just heartbreaking. I used to buy an extra pizza on my way out of town to bring back home. On my next trip I cant see myself going there again. Please undo whatever changes you have made to increase the profit margin. I’m sure its fine for Illinois tourists, but for Wisconsin residents who have been coming for years, we have noticed and won’t be returning until you go back to high quality ingredients.
Paul H — Google review
Started with the cheese curds which were probably some of THE BEST I’ve ever had! Had the hot honey pizza and was totally blown away! The goat cheese with the mozzarella was amazing! Really enjoyed it!
Rebecca G — Google review
Delicious pizza and the best bread basket around! That’s the main reason we make the hour-and-a-half drive from Appleton every summer. Totally worth it. They’ve also got a great beer garden out back with drinks and a little rock-sand area with toys—perfect if you’re waiting on a text that your table's ready. Highly recommend!

Not Licked Yet Frozen Custard, located near Peninsula State Park in Fish Creek, offers a delightful experience for both kids and adults. The stand provides specialty ice cream treats and is situated next to a large playground and a pond where visitors can feed the ducks. In addition to its scenic location, the stand also serves delicious food such as rubens, paninis, and cherry pie.
43 years in business, try it and you’ll see why. I love the menu and style of window ordering, there’s so many amazing options for homemade sundaes or a slice of cherry pie with vanilla custard al a mode. I tried the Door County sundae, very rich and delicious. I would try the turtle one next or the butter pecan. Everything looks so good. Tons of kids and families playing by the colorful playground off the seating area. Super cute atmosphere and lights.

Disappointing. We used to like this place but our door County cherry Sunday came with a black hair in it for $10. They remade it, but no apologies, and then the second one lacked toppings there are many better ice cream and custard places. go to those. It is licked.

Classic Door County; who knew there were so many ways to enjoy frozen custard. Sticky goodness regardless of one’s age. Gnome secrets to locals and visitors.
Robert K — Google review
If I could give this place negative stars, I would. We are visiting from out of town, like most people. But could not find one of our wallets filled with credit cards and cash. We called twice. The first time they stated that they didnt find anything. The second time I requested them to look for it, and they stated that they had a line up to the road and only had 6 employees working then proceeded to hang up on me. We left our hotel instantly and drove there in a panic. We got there within 5 minutes and there was NO line. Instead, we found all the employees sitting around chit chatting. We did find the wallet thankfully, with no help from them. For a place that claims they are family owned, they sure were cruel and clearly dont care about anyone but their lazy selves. TERRIBLE BUSINESS ETHNICS!! I have attached photos of what the supposed "line" looked like when we arrived.

What a wonderful experience. We looking forward to a nice treat after dinner and Not Licked Yet was just a few minutes away. When we turned into the lot and drove down the hill we were immediately transported to what felt like a hidden gem. After exiting our vehicle we could hear running water. The creek behind the parking lot was so tranquil. The whole experience was amazing. Very memorable. Lots of seating. Amazing staff. What an experience.

No Food After 7. I’ll tell You because they don’t. Our paper menu we took home previously doesn’t say it anywhere on it. The Google page does not help at all. You just wait in a stupid long line for someone to tell ya it’s $5 a scoop ice cream or nothing. Enjoy!
Brandon M — Google review
Such a cute place. I have been here before with my family. The view wasn’t that great because the water table was so low you the stream along side the custard place was not there. The service and custard sundae was wonderful!!! We are so lucky to have made it there yesterday- it must have been the last day they were open for the season! Wonderful tasty treats!
Lynn W — Google review
Terrible experience. We spent $20 on 3 cones that were instantly melting and messy — ice cream dripping everywhere before we could even reach the napkins. When we were handed them, the worker just shrugged and said, “Sorry, it’s messy.” By the time we got them, they were already half-liquid. We went back to ask if this was normal, and were met with a blank stare and a flat “Yeah.” No offer to fix it, no apology — nothing. We had to specifically ask for cups just to salvage what we could. Not a great experience at all. Wouldn’t return.

Well Bayside had a nice ambience, nice food, service was ok. On the plus side they do have gluten free options and the price was pretty friendly. For a low sodium meal, I had the Leif Salad with a Grilled Chicken Breast- green pepper, black olives, mushrooms 🍄and onions. There was a lot of black olives... for our two meals it was 33 dollars.

We came here for a quick lunch. The place was packed and we needed to seat ourselves. We found a table at corner of restaurant. We waited for long before waitress to come to clean the table. Then we waited for a long time for waitress tom take our order. I ordered a bratwurst and my wife ordered a double cheeseburger. The bratwurst was very small and tasted ok. The beef patties were pretty thick and tasted great. The table picked was very small and space was extremely tight. I was not very comfortable. They probably put as many seats as print the restaurant. Not a pleasant lunch. Based on seat comfort and service speed, we will not come back.

Have been here multiple times now, and always got the Bayside Deluxe Pizza, which is AWESOME. This time I got the friday Perch Fish Fry with german-style potato salad. FANTASTIC! They also give you baked beans, slaw and rye bread. Everything hit right. Ton of food, but I finished it all!!!! Really nice staff that are right there with a drink when needed. Just love this place! Bayside Tavern goes 110% in on "Cozy & Comfort". Relaxed, laid-back atmosphere with a menu built for everyone. Had the Vegetarian Garden Burger with a side of fries. Classic music & quick service in a North Wisconsin Tavern. Plus it's in the middle of everything Fish Creek. So relaxing to visit Peninsula State Park, see all of the beautiful nature, go shopping & then to end the day feeling full. Truly a perfect piece of the Door County, Wisconsin experience.

Loved sitting outdoors for a really great lunch of fish & fries with hard cider. The servers was awesome but he served a bunch of tables and outdoor seating by himself.

It was moderately busy when we arrived aroun 4:15 pm. It was seat yourself, so we did. It took 20 minutes for our server to greet us. The venue itself was nice. Classic bar feel with sports on tv and music playing. It was loud, but we could talk. The server brought our drinks and he took our order, hand made sausage pizza. 30 minutes later, the bar had all but cleared out, no pizza, no server to request more drinks from. My husband took our glasses up to the bar and ordered more. The bar staff was very friendly and helpful. 10 minutes later the server brought our pizza. The pizza had tons of cheese, tons of toppings and was cooked well, but we didn't care for the flavor of the sauce or sausage. We will not go back. We spent around $60 for a 14 inch pizza, 2 Apple ciders, 2 glasses of RC and one shot of tequila. Price was good.

Julie's Park Cafe & Motel is a low-key, family-run establishment located near the entrance to Peninsula State Park in Fish Creek. The motel offers unassuming rooms with free Wi-Fi and parking, making it a convenient choice for visitors. The attached cafe is a popular spot for breakfast or lunch, offering a variety of delicious options to fuel up before exploring the attractions of Door County. Over the years, the business has expanded to include cottages and condos as well.
I am not only a native but a frequent door county vacationer. Every time I come in here I make sure to stop at Julie’s. It is the best cafe in the whole peninsula! The espresso is so delicious, plus the carrot cake is so divine. Every person I bring up north always says this is the best place they ate at.

Excellent service, and portion sizes. I got 1 egg over easy, & plain French toast. My mom had gluten-free pancakes and 2 eggs. Both were very generous portions. I had tea which came in assorted flavors. It was all very good!

Great place as always. I’ve stayed here about once per year for the past 10 years. It’s always as clean and as fresh as the year before. The rooms are simple. The finishes aren’t high end or low end but they are always clean. The bathrooms look and feel clean as well as the beds. I highly recommend staying here. The restaurant is also very good. At least for breakfast, I’ve never had lunch there.

I was in Fish Creek for business. O'Meara's Irish House was hosting a pop up shop for my company - Miss Dottie's Pound Cake. We usually stay at a different hotel but they were booked so we tried Julie's. What a wonderful decision!!! Everything was top notch & the room was exceptionally clean, which we appreciated!!! We had a room with 2 queen beds. The beds were so comfortable & we loved the 4 pillows per bed. We slept so well. Great water pressure, lots of hot water, pristine fluffy towels, a hair dryer & a reallllly clean bathroom with mini amenities, which I personally love. The room had a microwave & a nice cold refrigerator for our drinks & snacks and cold A/C. The room was quiet & there was a fire pit & games available. We didn't have time to enjoy those options but they were very inviting. The reservation, check in & out were easy & efficient. The in person check attendant was friendly & answered all our local questions. Great communication from booking to check out. I can't say enough great things about Julie's!!! We are currently in the process of securing our reservation for 2026! Thank you Julie's for an excellent weekend!!!

Our server this morning was very unwelcoming. We were not told the breakfast special. I felt like he didn't want to be there this morning. The food was ok. The strawberry jam served with the toast didn't taste fresh. My coffee had an off taste. Perhaps it was the creamer used. One good note, my eggs were cooked perfectly. We will not be back.

The food was amazing. Definitely could improve on friendliness when the place isn’t even busy. Got a bad attitude from the hostess when asked to get seated prior to my friend arriving. The place good several empty tables, so didn’t see an issue. Hostess if you had a bad day, I am sorry and hope your day goes better.

We didn't stay at the motel, but we had breakfast at Julie's Café and the food was delicious as always. The special of the day was Caramel Pecan French Toast, which included eggs. They used real French bread and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I like to have breakfast at Julie's any time I visit Door County.

Nice clean rooms. Friendly staff. Sounds weird but the exterior stairs and balcony area is noisy when walking on it. We were awakened a number of times at night by guests dragging their bags or just being loud. Outside of that we enjoyed our stay. The café is definitely worth a visit too.
