Taj Mahal, a 17th-century Mughal-style marble mausoleum located in Agra, India, is a breathtaking symbol of love and architectural mastery. Built by Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal, it is described as an "elegy created in marble" and an "expression of true love." The monument's symmetrical gardens, minarets, and mosque add to its grandeur.
A timeless masterpiece — truly beyond words Visiting the Taj Mahal was an unforgettable experience. No photo or video can ever capture its real beauty — you have to stand before it to feel the magic. The white marble shines differently at every moment of the day, and the reflection in the Yamuna adds even more charm. In the early morning, arriving about 30 minutes before sunrise (when the entry gates open) gave me a practically peaceful moment — a soft golden glow on the marble, fewer crowds, and a calmness you rarely find later in the day. (The monument normally opens 30 minutes before sunrise and closes 30 minutes before sunset.) The place is very well maintained. Security checks were strict but smooth. The ticket-counters for the western and eastern gates started about an hour before sunrise and operate until about 45 minutes before sunset. ✓ Here are the details I noted: Opening/Closing Time: Opens around 30 minutes before sunrise, closes around 30 minutes before sunset. ✓ Closed on Fridays (to general visitors) due to the afternoon prayers at the mosque in the complex. ✓ Ticket charges: For Indian residents: approx ₹50 for general entry (children under 15 are free). ✓ For citizens of SAARC/BIMSTEC countries: approx ₹540,For other foreign nationals: approx ₹1,100 general entry. ✓ Additional mausoleum access: If you want to go inside the main mausoleum chamber, there is an extra charge of ₹200 for all categories. Overall, it’s a wonder that truly lives up to its reputation — a symbol of love and architectural perfection. A must-visit at least once in a lifetime!

The Taj Mahal is a breathtaking monument located on the banks of the Yamuna River. It's a must-visit destination, and I can see why! As I entered the complex, I was amazed by its huge size and beautiful architecture. The first glance took my breath away - it's even more stunning than I imagined! The complex is very large, and you'll need plenty of time to explore it. The architecture is exquisite, with intricate designs and calligraphy that will leave you in awe. The gardens are well-maintained, and the reflecting pools add to the peaceful atmosphere. But what impressed me even more was the attention to detail in terms of amenities. The toilets were clean and well-maintained, and basic facilities like water and snacks were easily available. What really stood out, however, was the primary health center inside the complex. I was pleasantly surprised to find a female doctor on duty, and to my surprise, all the necessary medicines were available on site! It's clear that the authorities have taken care to ensure that visitors have access to basic medical care if needed. Overall, my visit to the Taj Mahal was an unforgettable experience. Whether you're a history buff, an architecture enthusiast, or simply someone who appreciates beauty, this place is a must-visit. 5 stars isn't enough - I'd give it 10 stars if I could!

We visited the majestic Taj Mahal, and it was truly a breathtaking experience — the white marble, the peaceful atmosphere, and the historical beauty make it one of the most memorable places I’ve ever seen. Our main highlight was the visit to the Taj Mahal — one of the most stunning monuments in the world. The moment you enter, the white marble, detailed carvings, and reflection on the water leave you speechless. It truly lives up to its reputation as one of the 7 Wonders of the World. 💰 Entry Ticket: For Indian visitors: ₹50 (at main gate) For foreigners: around ₹1,100 Kids below 15 years: Free entry 🕒 Timings: Open from 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM (closed on Fridays) Best time to visit: Early morning or sunset for fewer crowds and cooler weather 🧹 Cleanliness: The entire Taj Mahal complex is very clean and well-maintained. There are dustbins everywhere, the lawns are trimmed, and shoes must be removed or covered before entering the marble platform, keeping it spotless. 👮 Security & Safety: Security is very strict — bags are scanned, and large items or food are not allowed inside. The security staff are polite and helpful. The area feels completely safe for solo travelers and families. 🚻 Facilities: Clean washrooms, drinking water points, guides available in multiple languages, and separate lines for men and women make the visit smooth and comfortable.

Visited the **Taj Mahal**, one of the **Seven Wonders of the World**, and it truly lives up to its reputation — especially the **first sight of the white marble monument**, which is breathtaking. Its **architecture, symmetry, and grandeur** are timeless, and standing in front of it, you feel the weight of history and love it symbolizes. However, there are some areas that could use improvement. The **parking arrangements** are lacking and could definitely be more organized. The **garden** needs some **attention**, as the grass wasn’t trimmed properly and the **water in front of the monument** was absent, with **black algae or dirt** in places. The other monuments in the area are fine but feel familiar compared to the Taj. I visited by **car with a friend**, and the journey was smooth. I look forward to visiting again, and next time I’ll make the trip by **train**, when the **Agra Metro network** is up and running. Still, despite the small flaws, the **Taj Mahal’s charm remains undiminished** — its beauty is eternal, and it continues to leave an indelible mark on anyone who witnesses it.

Visiting the Taj Mahal was truly a mesmerizing experience. As soon as I entered the complex, the sight of the grand white marble monument left me completely speechless. The beauty of the architecture, the perfect symmetry, and the reflection on the water in front made it feel like a dream. The early morning sunlight made the marble glow with a soft golden hue, creating a magical atmosphere. Walking closer, I could see the intricate carvings and detailed craftsmanship that make the Taj Mahal one of the world’s greatest wonders. Every corner tells a story of love and devotion, and it’s easy to feel the emotion behind its creation. The gardens were beautifully maintained, adding to the peaceful and royal charm of the place. The entry fee is ₹50 if you buy it at the counter, but only ₹45 if you take it online — I highly recommend booking online since the ticket line can be quite long. There’s also an additional ₹200 ticket for entering the main mausoleum (the upper area), which can also be purchased online. Overall, it’s a breathtaking experience and truly a must-visit symbol of love and history.

The 7 Wonders park is worth visiting, it's most beautiful 😍. A normal ticket costs 50 rupees per person, and a special ticket is 250 rupees. It opens at 5:00 in the morning, and the sunrise and sunset are most beautiful ❤️. And yes, we hired a guide there whose name is Sachin Yadav. He was affiliated with UP Tourism and saved us a lot of time. He's a good guide, he gave us a complete tour and did it properly, not in a hurry. If anyone is reading my message, please consider hiring Sachin as your guide there. Pay him only if you are satisfied with his services. We did the same; we checked the service first and then paid.

Given the recent Yamuna floods, we were worried to miss out on this special experience, but were extremely fortunate that the waters receded in time for our visit. The soil was still rather damp, so sensible shoes are called for. We went just before sundown. This is the site where the Black Taj was supposed to have been erected. Climb the short wall to get elevated views of the rear of the Taj Mahal. A serene feeling to see the colours change from pale yellow to pink. To the left, is the Khwajasara's red sandstone haveli, an added bonus.
Nive F — Google review
visited Mehtab Bagh with my wife, and it turned out to be one of the most peaceful, beautiful spots in Agra. Walking through the garden just as the sun was rising (and later again near sunset), the atmosphere was quiet and soothing, and the view of the Taj Mahal across the Yamuna River felt like a gentle reveal of one of the world’s wonders. The reflection of the Taj in the garden’s ponds was magical, and every moment felt like a painting. We spent a good hour strolling, taking photographs, and breathing in the calm. The light was soft, the sky changing color, and the contrast of the garden’s greenery with the Taj’s marble in the distance was very photogenic. Afterwards, we found some local food nearby which was simple but delicious — it complemented the serenity of the place perfectly. Mehtab Bagh is a must-visit if you want a quieter, reflective moment with the Taj—not just from the main monument, but from across the river, with time to soak it in and not rush. --- What You’ll See & Experience Charbagh-style Mughal garden layout: The garden is designed in a square with pathways, fountains, water channels and ponds, including a “Reflection Pond” or octagonal pond where you can capture beautiful symmetry with the Taj Mahal across the river. Flora & landscaping: Trees, plants, flowering species are planted to give shade, color, and aesthetic breaks. Some restoration has been done to bring back elements of the original garden design. Panoramic views of the Taj Mahal: Especially from vantage points facing the Yamuna, with unobstructed views in early morning or evening light. The seen reflection in water adds to the magic. Quiet, less crowded than Taj Mahal complex: Because it’s across the river, Mehtab Bagh tends to be more peaceful—ideal if you like to soak in vistas, take photos, or just enjoy moments without too much crowd. Night / Moonlight viewings (on certain nights): On full moon nights (and around them) Mehtab Bagh can offer a moonlit view of the Taj, which is quite romantic and rare. --- Best Time to Visit & Practical Details Aspect Details Opening hours Mehtab Bagh is generally open from sunrise to sunset (~6:00 AM to 6:00 PM). Ticket fee For Indian citizens: ~ ₹ 15-25; Foreign nationals: ~ ₹ 200-300. Children under 15 often free. Best months October through February are ideal: cooler weather, clearer skies. Summers are hot; monsoon has risks (humidity, flooding, poor visibility). Best times of day Very early morning around sunrise; late afternoon / golden hour before sunset. These give softer light, fewer people, and wonderful views/reflections. Night / Moonlight viewing On full moon nights (and maybe one or two days before/after), there is special access for moonlight viewing. Worth checking in advance. Possible drawbacks & tips Parking can be inconvenient; from parking to garden entrance you may walk a distance or need a local auto. Some reviews mention maintenance issues in parts of the garden (pathways, view-blocking fences etc.). Go light, wear comfortable shoes.

Despite the recent Yamuna floods, we were lucky that the water had receded just in time for our visit, allowing us to experience this beautiful spot without interruption. The ground was still slightly damp, so wearing sensible shoes is definitely recommended. We reached just before sunset, which turned out to be the perfect time. This location is believed to be the site where the Black Taj was once planned, adding a layer of historical curiosity to the visit. A short climb up the low wall gives you an excellent elevated view of the rear side of the Taj Mahal. Watching the monument change colours—from soft yellow to gentle pink—as the sun goes down is a peaceful and unforgettable moment. On the left side, you’ll also see the Khwajasara’s red sandstone haveli, a charming structure that feels like a hidden bonus for those who explore a little further. Overall: A calm and rewarding spot, especially during sunset. Perfect for photography, history lovers, and anyone wanting a quieter, more unique view of the Taj Mahal. Tip: Go just before sundown, wear sturdy shoes, and carry a light jacket if the weather is cool.

Chini Ka Rauza is a significant monument in Agra, built in the 1630s as the tomb of Afzal Khan, a Persian poet and minister during Shah Jahan's reign. It is known for its distinctive decoration made from glazed tiles imported from China, featuring turquoise, yellow, green, and orange colors. This Indo-Persian structure showcases intricate paintings and Islamic inscriptions.
Hidden gem of architecture in Agra on the bank of river Yamuna. The ceramic inlay makes this place special & it's a protected monument so those who wish to visit should get info about logistics and it's 100% worth visiting.

Along the river beyond Itimad ud Daula's tomb, lies another less grand one of another Mughal wazir. The blue and green tiles of the facade can be imagined from the few that remain but the real treasure lies on the inside, where the colours of the walls and ceiling are how they must have been when the mausoleum was first constructed. Lovely river views and a sweet garden. The ASI has been working to upgrade this morning monument.

A Hidden Gem of Agra! Chini Ka Rauza is one of the most underrated historical monuments in Agra. The Persian-style architecture, colorful glazed tile work (which gives it the name “Chini”), and peaceful surroundings make it a great place for those who love history and art. Unlike the crowded Taj Mahal, this place is calm and serene — perfect for photography and quiet exploration. I visited with my wife and we really enjoyed the calm atmosphere and intricate Mughal-era craftsmanship. The best time to visit is early morning or evening when the sunlight beautifully reflects on the tiles. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to see Agra beyond the Taj Mahal!

Chini ka Rauza contains the tomb of Afzal Khan Shirazi who was the wazir of Shah Jahan. It was built in 1630s. Afzal Khan also served as a Prime Minister under Shah Jahan. The walls have glazed tile work known as Chini. The work though wearing off due to climatic conditions still allows us a glimpse of how beautiful it must have been.Located on the banks of Yamuna the building is neglected and desperately needs some restoration. Unfortunately very few tourists visit it which is a pity. It is probably one of the few buildings, if not the only one with Persian architec government or a corporate restores this to its original beauty.Entry is free.

No entry fees. Open from 8.00 am to 5.00 pm. Quite sad to see how a historically important monument is so poorly maintained. People, especially the locals use this more as a public playground or a park for recreational activities. The beautiful and intricate paintings on the walls are falling off. Currently undergoing renovations.

Its a beautiful mausoleum but in a very bad state. A.S.I should take proper care and maintain the tomb. It has beautiful intricate art work on the facade. This place is being damage by climatic conditions and more over by the locals living nearby. I was around there at 7 in the morning and still the main gate was closed so I couldn't go in but what we saw as a monument on the banks of River Yamuna was beautiful.

Mughlai restaurant
Esphahan is a top choice for fine dining in Agra, located within the stunning Oberoi Amarvilas hotel. This elegant restaurant offers classic Mughlai specialties in a luxurious setting adorned with statues. With two seating times at 7pm and 9:30pm, reservations are essential to secure your spot. Guests can savor their meals accompanied by the soothing sounds of the santoor.
Esphahan definitely exceeded my expectations! From the service to the ambience to the food itself, I was truly impressed. We ordered the non-vegetarian thali, and our meal began with a cup of a delicious, gingery lentil soup which was a perfect warm start to the dinner on this chilly November evening. We were the served an appetizer of some of the most tender shrimp and chicken I’ve never had. It set the bar quite high for what was to come. Our thali arrived with samplings of fish, chicken, lamb, daal, and palak paneer dishes along with rice and butter naan. Everything was delightful with the fish curry being a standout for me. They were also accommodating to my guest who asked for a substitution for the paneer. Dessert was also an experience in itself - a journey through traditional Indian desserts and also an Agra-specific sweet called petha. Our servers were all wonderful. I think we had 5 servers attend to our table. A musician playing a santoor created a beautiful and mesmerizing ambiance for our dinner. We had a five star experience and would certainly return again. One small pro tip for booking - we dined on a Tuesday evening in mid-November. I requested a reservation through email about 2 weeks before our trip. Of their two seating options, only the 9:15 pm option was available. I emailed the afternoon of our reservation to see if there were any cancellations for the 7 pm seating. The restaurant emailed me back saying that there was no availability at 7 pm so I kept my 9:15 reservation. We arrived to the hotel at around 6:30 pm to visit the boutiques and walk the grounds (which I highly recommend you do as the hotel is gorgeous). I stopped by the restaurant’s reservation desk at 7 pm to see if there were any tables available. We were promptly seated at a table of our choice. During the two hours we were there, only 4 tables were occupied (so most of the restaurant was empty). I’m not sure why I was told there was no availability but do know that you may be able to snag a table if you simply show up at 7.

What an amazing experience!!! Loved the ambience. We stayed at the Hotel for 2 days and one of the days ended up booking here for dinner. It is supposed to be romantic place but we went with kids and staff was gracious enough to accommodate us there. While my daughter was crying food staff didn’t make us feel uncomfortable they helped me with her. I absolutely was embarrassed but they took care of us. Now food was whole another level. I had vegetarian Thali and my husband had non-vegetarian thali. Thali experience was great because we were able to try little bit of everything. My absolute favorite was Lahore Dum Aloo. I could eat 10 bowls of it. Soy chop was also Delightful. Every dish on place was made with love and I can tell it may have taken hours to create. Music was absolutely the best. Will forget about outside world for few hours of dining experience.

Very poor experience and completely missed the high end dining expectations. It all started with at the gate where we were told that our booking was at 9:30 in spite of confirmation that it was at 9:15. Then we were asked to wait in the lobby as the bar was only for reserved guests. When we went down to the restaurant we were told that the reservation was for 9:15 and that we were late, BUT the tables were not ready so we should wait in the bar. Surprisingly this time the bar did not require reservations. We finally got our table at about 10:15 and were told that the tandoor shuts off at 10:30 so we had better order everything by then. The service was attentive, and the food was decent - unfortunately nothing memorable.

Pinch Of Spice is a popular dining spot in Agra, offering a variety of cuisines including North Indian, continental, Chinese, and Italian. The restaurant is reasonably priced and has clean interiors with courteous staff. It's conveniently located near the Taj Mahal and Agra Fort. The menu is in English and there's ample seating space with soothing music. Guests can enjoy traditional Indian dishes like Murgh Boti Masala and Paneer Lababdar or opt for continental or Chinese options.
Visited July 25 2025 – Day 22 in India We were on a 17 day cruise in Norway and our wonderful assistant server on the ship Vindhya insisted that we must try Pinch of Spice when visiting Agra. So as soon as we checked into our hotel, Taj View, we walked over. It was just a short and easy walk. The restaurant had a warm and welcoming atmosphere with attentive staff from the moment we arrived. My husband ordered an Indian single malt scotch called Ram Puri. It was his first time trying it and he really enjoyed the smoothness and unique flavor. It paired wonderfully with the rich Indian spices in the meal. Our kids were craving butter chicken and the server kindly assured us it would not be spicy. However, when it arrived, it was a bit too spicy for them. When the captain of the restaurant came over to check on us, we mentioned it casually and without hesitation he immediately offered to make it right. That level of thoughtfulness really stood out to us. For our youngest, who is five, we ordered the clear chicken soup which was light and comforting. She loved it with some plain rice on the side. It was simple, gentle, and perfect for a child’s palate. We also ordered tangri kebab which were succulent and juicy chicken drumsticks marinated in aromatic spices and grilled to perfection. They were tender, smoky, and packed with flavor. The rara gosht was another standout dish with beautifully cooked mutton in a thick, rich, and deeply spiced gravy. It had just the right amount of heat and went perfectly with the freshly made naan and soft roti. Every bite was a delight. At the end of our meal, we were served a refreshing mouth freshener drink that was not only unexpected but a perfect way to finish. It was herbal, cooling, and palate cleansing. We are truly grateful to the captain and team for the excellent hospitality, especially for their kindness and care in making sure our kids were comfortable and happy. It made our experience that much more special. Absolutely delicious food, thoughtful service, and a wonderful dining experience. Highly recommend if you are in Agra.

We went there as it was highly rated, turns out it's nothing but overrated. I'm usually so lazy that I just appreciate food and go, but this place is so amazingly bad it made me sit down in the burger king beside it and write a long drawn out description about how I wasted space in my stomach. Here is what we ordered, 1. Honey chilli chicken 2. Butter chicken full 3. Garlic naan 4. Butter naan 5. Malai kofta 1. Honey chilli chicken : decently good, a tad too sweet but okay for a sensitive palate. 2. Butter chicken full: here is where the disappointment begins. The first bite was literally not felt, it was so bland that even though I had an open cut and ate with my hands it still didn't burn, the 130rs water they provided has more flavour than the 900rs butter chicken. If there was any butter in that butter chicken, i pray for that cow imagining how undernourished it must have been. The gravy was so dull so bland that the only thing appropriate with the gravy was how it looked. The chef must have been an artist cause the only thing good with the curry is the amount of food colour. I can go on about the curry, but the remaining dishes are shittier, so let me describe them too. 3. Garlic naan and butter naan: this became so hard so rubbery so fast that this may be a viable material for riding gear. The butter on the butter naan is as useful as an umbrella in a hurricane, it's there but does no shit. The only reason I still had appetite was because I burnt so many calories eating it. 4. Malai kofta: now coming to the end, the one thing I hoped , prayed will be better, atleast edible. After eating it I wish for only one thing, I hope the restaurant can afford a new grinder with the 3k i paid cause they didn't grind the spices they added in the malai kofta, every bite felt like Russian roulette waiting for some new type of flavour to hit. Overall if you wish to let go of some money, the look the begger gives when you give them 10rs gives you more satisfaction than eating for 3k here. We had more fun making fun of the food than eating the food. I praise the chef for making me lose interest in food and helping me achieve my weight goals. If you read till here, thank you !

On a friend’s recommendation, went here today, during my Agra trip. But was disappointed Service was extremely slow and food wasn’t that worth the wait. Mutton seekh kebabs were hard & quite dry. Malai chicken tikka was sweet, never had this kind of sweetness before

We came across this place that was highly recommended, and it was a great experience. The service was excellent, and the food was authentic and delicious. We ordered Butter Chicken, Tandoori Murg And Mutton Rogan.

We had only about 50 minutes before our train and the staff managed everything perfectly. Within 30 minutes we ordered, received our dishes, ate a bit on the spot and got the rest packed to go. The food was the best we had during our trip and the service was truly impressive. Huge respect to the team for making it all work so smoothly. Highly recommended.

Mughlai restaurant
Jahanpanah is a casual eatery located in the heart of Agra, offering authentic Awadhi cuisine with a focus on Mughlai dishes. The restaurant prides itself on introducing Lucknowi flavors to Agra's food scene, with all recipes and chefs hailing from Lucknow.
True testament of Awadhi cuisine. This place may not be cut out for it's looks from the outside but the heart and soul is in the food. The food is sensational. Those looking for quick service will have to wait as everything is made to order and is not pre-prepared. Would highly recommend the following dishes that definately stand out and is highly unique in it's taste:- Starters:- Galawat Kebab, Kakori Kebab, Potli Chicken, Kakori/Galawat Kebab Main Course:- Boti Masala Lucknowi, Chicken Jahanpanah, Mutton/Chicken Biryani Indian Bread's:- Ulta Tawe Ka Parantha, Rumali Roti, Stuffed Kheem Naan

If you are a fan of avadhi and lucknowi food this is a must place to go !ide variety of lip smacking food to offer. . I tried their veg galouti and Hara bhara kabab with ulte tawe ka paratha and it was yumm. . They have launched the new addition of Chinese and Italian dishes to the menu, which I tried too. Tried their steamed fried Afghani tandoori momos, and tandoori and Afghani are recommend from my side. Tried both the pastas but I like the red sauce one more. . Chilli paneer needs a special mention if you like chatakhedaar food. It gives you an aftertaste. . Spring rolls was just perfect for me, juicy and less fried. . They need to work on their Honey chiili potato and Manchurian though. I was expecting high from biriyani but it wasn't according to my taste buds, not good or bad, just not my type of biriyani. . The place is reasonable and ambiance nice. A place where you can sit and enjoy your food. If you are a fan of avadhi and lucknowi food this is a must place to go !

Amidst the loud music playing in this part of sadar bazaar lies this little shop in the end. We went in mainly because of the reviews of its shaami kebab and it sure didn't disappoint. I will give this place a 4.5 for food alone but ratings are down mainly because of the ambience. Ambience: it's too quiet or maybe it feels so after you come inside listening to the loud noises from mama chicken corner. This place needs sprucing up for sure. Food: we just ordered shammi kebab and ulta tawa naan. There was 6 pieces of shaami which was quite heavy and the parantha was simply delicious. Must have. Value for money: the above and two cold drinks cost us appx 500 which is not a bad deal. I will go back for the shammi again. Not for the ambience.

The idea of this restaurant is to serve its beloved customers with some of the best dishes from the Awadhi cuisine. You’ll find some of the best dishes from Lucknow, all of which reek of royalty. Be it the biryani or the galawati kebabs, you’ll all get it here. To be true to their philosophy, the ingredients for the dishes are brought in from Lucknow. And the chefs who work here have been trained to learn the Awadhi style of cooking, especially the Dum method.

An authentic awadhi cuisine restaurant, the owner is from Lucknow and very supportive. The chicken and mutton dishes are simply awesome

An underrated exciting nook in the center of Agra this place has probBly some of the best economical mughlai cuisine you will find in the city in such a hygenic preparation. The ambience is a bit lack lusture and it falls short of being exciting compared to the loudness of the street food options outside. They have the best ulte tawe ka parantha and galouti. The meals are moderately priced and the server and staff were very helpful.

I would rate the food 3.5 on the basis of taste. 3 on the basis of presentation. Tried two dishes one was mutton biryani which is no doubt really good and other one was galouti kabab.. here I found little smell with the dish.. as I know how fresh minced mutton tastes and smells so that was a big turn off I couldn't manage to eat further. But my fellow mates loved both the dishes.

Deepee Restaurant offers a wonderful dining experience! The food is fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The staff is friendly and attentive, and the ambiance feels cozy and welcoming. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for great taste and excellent service!

Leaving Dasaprakesh went for deepee along with whole family but sad to say Dosa didn’t seem like Dosa! Quality of dosa with its tiny size felt disgusting. Even those coconut chatney was pathetically but yes Chinese sizzler platter were good. After all this is the last dine and to recommend other. Overall Service was okay okay

I really liked the food especially the Schezwan and garlic dosa. The dosas are well priced, but the drinks are on the higher side. Overall a great place.

I Visited this restaurant and absolutely loved the dosa here! It was crisp, tasty, and served hot with delicious chutneys and sambar. The flavors were authentic, and the portion was generous. The staff were polite and the service was quick, which made the experience even better. If you’re a dosa lover, this place is definitely worth visiting.

Good food and good service. Authentic South Indian food in Agra, surprisingly. Go for it if you are an Indian and looking for a break from North Indian food. Well-maintained washroom as well.

We wanted to dine-in and spend few hours so we googled out the restaurants and found this place. The restaurant is elevated and they have a nice transperent lift for it. entrance is very nice with gatekeeper welcoming you. Restaurant has warmly atmosphere with dim yellow light. Its a pure vegetarian restaurant. Though they serve many cousine but south indian dishes are their core. Prices are higher than the market price may be about 1.5x or 2x times. Idli was good served with 2portion of white chutney, one portion of sambhar, small container of pure ghee and gun powder. Just Amazing Presentation. Cream of Tomato soup was okayish. I felt the milk based ingredient proportion was bit higher in it. But may be it was needed to make cream flavour. It was served with two large bread sticks and butter. The best decision we made was to have their Paneer ki sabji with Laccha parota meal. In the entire menu that was something which justified the price and quantity. Overall good place to visit once but you have to make ordering decision wisely. Dosa here are too expensive and portion/quantity is okayish. Since I spent good time at this restaurant, I strongly wish to point out with my observation that the new Manager (Jav bir/Om bir) is good for customers but very harsh on the restaurant staff. He is like a live wire on the field. Only scolding the staff each time they crossover. The staff and middle level representative are polite and sincere in their work, Mr. JayVir/Ombir, please be gentle with them otherwise it will be a bad sign for resturant.

I have been coming here from 1990s the place was earlier called Dashaprakash and then called Deeper. In all these years the quality of food at this place has been constant. Apart from few odd experience this place has been amazing. This place is inside meher talkies and is generally well known for the quality. I recommend dhai vada , swiss orange Sunday and macroni with cheese. Earlier continental dish used to take longer time then south Indian dish now there is an hardly any time lag now.

Our favorite restaurant in Agra. The owner or main person is super nice and friendly. They were great with vegan and gluten free options. We had their dosa which was amazing. The gobi Manchurian was one of the best I’ve ever had. Their side dishes are super tasty. We came here a few times the food was so good but we’re too hungry to take more photos 😅

I arrived in Agra for the Taj Mahal and wanted to have good Indian food for a German stomach. I really liked this place. The food was super traditional, very delicious and I didn’t have any stomach problems. The people were super friendly and we could chat a bit with them. Prices were super fine and we got a lot of food for the money. I can definitely recommend this place and would always come back. It’s super cozy and authentic inside.

I’ve been traveling around a few cities in India, and finally found a place where the food really suits my taste! The Muslim owner suggested the Paneer Pasanda, super tasty, especially with naan. They’re also very friendly and explain all the ingredients. Great food, nice people, and reasonable prices. Highly recommend!

I can't properly review this place as we didn't eat here. We were attracted to it by the menu we saw on Google maps. Sadly this has changed. Prices have gone WAY up & much more westernised. Disappointed we left 😞 That being said, it's lovely & clean & tge owner is friendly. See more recent menus attached (31 August 2025)

Some of the quickest and friendliest service we’ve had in India!! Super helpful with recommendations on what to eat and how spicy each dish could be made. The banana lassi is incredible, as was the malai kofta!

The waiter was very friendly upon arrival but that was about it. Once ordered service was pretty basic, waiter on his phone ignoring us. Not even provided drinking glasses for the water. Food was ok, it took a while to get ready on the tiny kitchen. Basic platting and quantities ok. Price was ok.

In a week's stay in Agra, I went to Joney's maybe seven times. This is not how I normally eat when traveling, as I generally prefer to explore various options, but the combination of reliable food and laid-back atmosphere kept me coming back. My staples were breakfast, either a spinach-cheese-onion omelet or a yogurt bowl - once I tried the generously portioned muesli yogurt bowl with fruit that became my go-to. We had Indian food there once and found it to be tasty. The staff was pleasant without being overbearing. It's a small but comfortable space. I recommend Joney's without hesitation.
