National park
Campground
Nestled between the cities of Magog and Orford, Parc national du Mont-Orford is a haven for outdoor enthusiasts. The park offers a variety of activities such as kayaking, cycling, skiing, and snowshoeing in its protected landscape of forests, lakes, and rocky peaks. Families can enjoy the nearly 200-acre property with accommodations ranging from cozy rooms to rustic cabins.
Absolutely beautiful park with loads of trails for beginners to experts. Great areas for a lot of different activities and some truly beautiful wildlife too. You can rent spots for tents if you want to stay here more than a day. There are good restroom facilities as well.

It was super busy the day I went for a hike- maybe one of the last gorgeous fall days. That meant the trail was much busier than I'm used to. It was rare to be alone. Like all SEPAQ parks, it's well appointed and maintained but I didn't give it 5 stars (which I gave to Mégantic) because I found the trails weren't as clearly marked. It was easy to get confused about which way to go and several people that day were off trail. I'll go back in winter for snowshoeing.

Beautiful, well maintained trails. Huge selection of activities for all ages. Lots of dog friendly trails. Plenty of equipment to rent from fat bikes to trailers and canoes.

Beautiful National park. We stayed one night in the campsite. Excellent hiking, mountain biking, water activities. Clean and well equipped sites. The only down side is the cost. It cost us to $95 to pitch our small tent for the night (2 adults, 1 young child). If you have the Sepaq National parks card it's $20 cheaper. We also didn't book ahead so that might be a savings too. It was still worth it because of the beautiful space and amenities, but quite pricey for camping. We loved this park and would like to have stayed longer to enjoy more of the hiking.
Ruth M — Google review
The campground is great but the power tripping guards really ruined our stay. From the first night to the last, the guards would come every 30 minutes to our campground and harass us, coming up with new rules every time. Very disappointing to see where this is going, if you are more than 4 guests I advice you book elsewhere. Special note to the guard Alexy Kingsbury, particularly unpleasant and arrogant, you should find another job elsewhere if you can’t talk to customers.
Julien B — Google review
A very beautiful parc with plenty of hiking trails and relaxing beach. Parking is east, plenty of breathtaking views and well guided. One of the easy trails we took is very suitable for a baby stroller (it should be equipped for off-road tracks).
Elias M — Google review
A beautiful national park with several different trekking and hiking trails for different difficulty levels. I am definitely going back to this place again. Super close to Montreal as it is a 90 minute drive away.
Dipta D — Google review
This provincial park has a large camping site, with a beach. Visitors who want to access the beach can do so without having to camp there, but the cost for 2 people is 30$, pretty expensive for a few hours at a small beach, but when you need to cool down you pay the price. Do not forget to pack a lunch if your there for the day, not much to eat at the store. You can rent a kayak. Good size parking.

Outdoor Activities
Marais de la Rivière aux Cerises is a nature reserve with diverse ecosystems and pathways, as well as an educational center that provides exhibits and programs. The area offers a tranquil atmosphere and picturesque scenery to visitors. Wildlife including snakes, butterflies, dragonflies, and flowers can be seen along the trails. It is advised to bring mosquito repellent due to the prevalence of mosquitoes in the area. The hiking trails are suitable for families with small children as they are flat and engaging for kids.
A nice little hike in nature, everything is well mark with a lot of maps and indication in the trails. The little exposition was really interesting too.
Samuel P — Google review
Nice, quiet trails for a walk. One can also learn about the history of Marais aux Cerises and the efforts that were made to preserve the ecosystem. It should be noted that the trails are accessible by foot from downtown Magog. Free entrance but paid parking (except for Magog residents).

Wow! Such nice discovery near Magog! The walking path is really nice! It took us right to the middle of the town where we had a cute little picnic near the water! For sur we gonna go back!
Sam K — Google review
Lovely walk from the interpretation center off Chemin Roy. Parking is 2.50$ /hr and the hike is along a raised boardwalk or under a forest canopy. To walk the length one way will take 30-45 min. It ends at point Merry in Magog. Lots of information plaques along the trail and some art installations. In the spring I can imagine lots of animal activity, however at the end of the summer the marsh is dry.
Helen G — Google review
Great maintained trails, which are dog friendly (was a ton of them) beautiful sights and waterways to paddle board. Had a great 5 hours hiking around.
Tim E — Google review
Not what I expected from a marsh.About as exciting as a wet sleeping bag. This marsh became extinct several hundred years ago.Pay for about 1.5 hrs of parking and walk the forest trails.Much more enjoyable.

We recently visited Magog and took a walk at Marais de Rivière des Cerises. The place is beautiful, and you can spot many birds. We followed the wooden bridge trail, although it could need some renovations. At the end of the trail, we reached Park Merry, and decided to keep walking to explore the city on foot. As we continued, we passed through all the Park La Pointe Merry and Baie Magog, eventually reaching the intersection at Plage des Cantons. The walk was very enjoyable, and we ended up at Centre d’Interpretation, which was our starting point. We walked for about two hours or more, and it was a great experience. The weather was perfect, but the only downside was the crowd. There were many people walking, biking, and lots of tourists, which made the area a bit crowded. Overall, it was a lovely outing.

Bleu Lavande, also known as Blue Lavender, is a stunning estate that offers a delightful experience for visitors. The best time to visit is at the end of July or beginning of August when the lavender fields are in full bloom. Guests can wander through endless fields of lavender, indulge in a relaxing foot massage at the on-site spa, and savor locally-sourced cuisine and wine at Bistro Lavendula.
Beautiful place. Super well maintained and clean. They sell local products that are super high quality. Iced lavender coffee is soooooooo good. Scones too, if you like the taste of lavender. The fields were much bigger than I thought they would be, lots of chairs to take photos. We'll be back!
Audrey L — Google review
Around $17/person to get in to the farm space. Once on the space, seemingly free to roam and eat and drink and picnic as you see fit. Romantic experience on a good weather day. We went late June so not full bloom. Recommended to go for late july/august for full colours. 1 less star because the cafe and products were a bland and seemed mass produced. The 'information discovery' section was also mostly about the business than the process of lavender farming. Basically corporate marketing, less educative.
Arman I — Google review
Pretty good second experience. Entry price is fair, not difficult to access or walk through, many resting spots, and a neat boutique. Prices in the boutique are high. But that is expected. Enjoyable experience, it was fun watching the bees working hard.
Jason T — Google review
An amazing field of lavenders. Smells amazing. Plenty of picnic area and they let you bring in food and enjoy the whole day there. You pay for the day and can get in and out as many times during that day. The boutique has a big variety of lavander made products.
Tigran G — Google review
Beautiful lavender fields that extend over a big territory. If you catch them in bloom, the smell is absolutely amazing! The museum really doesn't have much information and the bistro is super basic. I was really looking forward to a nice lavender latte with a great view over the fields. It was quite disappointing to find out that lavender latte can only be iced and it is served in a paper cup. Thank you to the barista who was able to add some syrup to my latte, but the paper cups are really not it, especially given that you can only get to the bistro after paying the entrance fee. The boutique is very nice, but many products seem overpriced and so does the entrance fee, in my opinion. Nevertheless, I still enjoyed my experience here and would recommend going at least once if you're in the area!

~♡~ very relaxing Drinks are goods Very friendly staff ~♡~ Sad part, they do not have swinging char for adults anymore... ((website showed swinging chair for adult🤧)) please put some back 🥲
Luc D — Google review
I visited this place in August, which I realized might not have been the best time to fully enjoy the lavender fields. Still, the garden was really beautiful and worth exploring. The boutique had a wide variety of lavender-related products, from oils to little decorative items, making it fun to browse. The staff were also very nice and welcoming, which added to the pleasant experience. Overall, even if the timing wasn’t perfect, I still enjoyed my visit and would recommend it for anyone who appreciates nature and lavender products.

Local history museum

Maison Merry is a historical site in Magog that offers visitors a glimpse into the city's past. The museum showcases well-selected artifacts and features both permanent and temporary exhibitions, including one on W8banaki history and culture. The friendly staff ensures accessibility for all visitors. Additionally, the contemporary annex sheds light on the role of the textile industry in Magog's development.
Really pretty! Take the tour with a guide. She explained everything in an interesting way. The tea there is also really good.
Elizabeth L — Google review
It's a nice little museum. Historic house that was restored to allow some modern things such as LCD screens to show interactive videos. Yes, there are a few pieces of furniture but don't think you'll see the house as it originally was furnished. There is auxiliary room that houses a temporary exhibit (this time on photography--not bad). Friendly docents. I think most people will be done in 20 minutes. I read everything thoroughly and watched the videos. I took 40 minutes. Yes, it's a bit overpriced for what you get to see. I would suggest more like $6. Remember, visitors also have to pay for an hour or so of parking. There is no free parking for museum guests, which effectively raises the price.
Michael M — Google review
Amazing experience. The house is well maintained. We had a guide visit, the girl explained was gentle, kind and friendly.

Indulge in a day of relaxation at Spa Nordic Station, where you can treat yourself to a range of massages including Swedish and essential oil options. With packages starting at 47 USD, guests can access hot baths, saunas, ponds, and cold waterfalls. Some packages even include three-course meals and body scrub sessions. This year-round day spa seamlessly integrates traditional heat/cold treatment areas into the outdoor environment for a truly tranquil experience.
Part of 60th Birthday Nordic Spa Tour: One of my favorite spas visited (tho also my first). Loved the fact that they had access to a real river for a cold plunge and one of the other two cold plunges was fed by a waterfall and had rocks and ropes to help you get in/out of. Pretty natural setting. It's not super fancy but I liked that. Had a great massage there, too. There was one area that was fine to talk in quietly which was nice. Easy to get to from Magog which was a lovely little town on a beautiful lake. Highly recommend Hotel Verso and especially their restaurant, Koz.
Amy W — Google review
I was a little disappointed in this place, it didn't live up to the hype from all my friends who love to go here. I did a day pass for the pools and saunas and reading/nap rooms. They were very nice, very clean. But I didn't feel super relaxed. The areas where it is supposed to remain absolutely silent, many people were not. At a time, teenagers came through loudly laughing and talking and there we no staff around asking them to stop. That ruined the vibe (and the point?) a little bit. The only time I really enjoyed myself was when we arrived early, when almost no one else was there. We had one of the hot pools to ourselves. I enjoyed going from the hot to the cold pool. I really, really felt good in the cold one. That being said, the real-feel temp when we were there was -17 so getting out of any pool into that air was horrific and the opposite of relaxing. It was hard to enjoy myself. Our robes and towels froze into blocks, literally. So we had to just run to the next thing and try not to slip. This would be a nice spot if the weather were warmer and the people were more respectful, I think. But I think overall it just wasn't for me.
Kristy B — Google review
Absolutely loved everything about this spa! The setting is amazing. It's so pretty set out in the woods. it was very clean and quiet. There was only one area that you could hear the road, and we were up high sitting in the chairs by the fire pit other than that you feel like you're in another world.
Kathleen S — Google review
This place has potential to be amazing! The setting is beautiful - despite the noise from car traffic, which you can hear even with the white noise from the various water features. All of the buildings are very nice! It does not feel cramped or crowded. The massage therapists were A+ - extremely talented! However, the overall accommodations were sparing. They have no restaurant and no basic amenities, such as shampoo, conditioner, or moisturizer. Also, you had to pay extra for use of the bathrobe - which should’ve been included in our package. I would go back just for the massage (Emilie was amazing), but will also try other spas in the region.
Chris R — Google review
We went there for the first time for a birthday event.I will say the view outside was pleasant BUT the cleanliness was to be desired.Major amount of cobwebs in the inside the changing room. The tubs water seemed cloudy with an oily film on-top of the water. And my friend slipped in one of the tubs stairs because it was slimy and injured her foot.(The whole bottom of her foot was sliced open.) When we raised concerns to that upon leaving, the staff member asked us if the water jets were on, and did not offer any type of assistance/compensation even if I had to leave after the incident, the water was so cloudy and the stairs so slippery, jets on or not this could have been avoided if the maintenance had been done properly, we never saw anyone clean the place while we were there.
SugarBug — Google review
Overall experience was good but not exceptional. Unfortunately did not have the most welcoming staff. Facility is slightly dated, lockers rooms are confusing, better signage would be appreciated. The spa itself has a good variety of baths/sauna, the cold plunge in the river being the highlight. The massage therapists were very good. 3.9/5
Sarah M — Google review
My husband and I spent a half day at the spa. The pools and relaxation areas were wonderful. It was very relaxing. It wasn’t that busy so no problem finding space in saunas or pools. The shower and change room is small. The shower that I had didn’t drain well and I was standing in everyone’s run off. For this reason I gave it 4 stars. However, everything else was excellent.
Leanne R — Google review
I would say that this is my happy place. A SPA in a beautiful enchanted forest, extremely well integrated into nature. A place with special energy. Went there many times and every time I felt fantastic. Love the landscape, you have to walk, and it was built in different levels. Good variety of saunas and baths, relaxing areas... The massages that I had were very good, usually relaxing. The design of the place is very minimalistic and rustic. A hidden little gem, that usually is not crowded at all, which I love. I would recommend a few things that will make the place perfect: free robes (really important), free beverages (maybe some tea or flavored water with fruits or veggies), add music to some of the installations (ex. No music in the sauna by the river or the crypte), have a fireplace outdoors. In conclusion, I love it during the day but more at night. With the lights it's absolutely beautiful, especially in the winter. Keep this place to yourself. We don't want to make it too popular.

Nestled in the charming town of Magog, 'Pinocchio' offers a delightful dining experience that showcases refined French cuisine in an elegant atmosphere. With its high ceilings and modern decor, this restaurant is perfect for those looking to indulge in a special meal. Chef Charbonneau emphasizes fresh, local ingredients by collaborating with regional farmers to source specialty products like baby turkeys and seasonal vegetables.
Excellent experience. Charming staff, excellent service. Budget is on the high side but its worth it. Can’t do there on a rush either. Heated terrasse, awesome interior decor, wine recommendation was right spot on, strongly recommended if budget allows it :)

This is definitely one of the better spots in Magog. The service was excellent, the food was delicious, and the atmosphere had a classy vibe. I ordered the salmon tartare and onion soup, both of which were fantastic. My friends had the clams and salmon fillet, and they thoroughly enjoyed their meals as well. Our waitress was incredibly kind and helpful throughout the evening. I highly recommend this restaurant whether you're meeting up with family, hanging out with friends, or even on a date, it's a great choice.

Food was good but I feel like everything was missing something. The blood pudding tasted really good but the 2 little slice of apple tasted kinda off. My main service the duck wasn't really hot. It tasted good but left me on my appetite. My girlfriend's beef tartare was good. But the fries she had with the mussels smelled and tasted like fast food old fries.

Great food, even better service! From the starters to dessert, the food was the best I tried in Magog. Very close in quality to what you would find in a great Montreal restaurant. In terms of service, I have never experienced the quality that Stéphanie provided. She mastered the table to the point WE wanted to make a good impression on her as guests. Nothing escaped her. She was more than a waitress, she was like the personal assistant to a Prime Minister. You need to experience this at least once in your lifetime.

I had an excellent lunch experience at Comme Chez Soi - Restaurant & Auberge. I couldn't find any open places nearby, so I arrived here hungry and early. The chef and server were kind enough to serve me before the official opening time. The food was prepared quickly and was delicious. I am extremely grateful to them for not letting me go hungry. This place is lovely, with friendly staff who provide attentive service.
The meals were exceptionally good - perfectly seasoned and well presented. We brought our own wine so it was very good. I would definitely go back any time we are nearby. Service was friendly and capable. I think this is a first class restaurant.

My husband and I spent one night here on the way back to Ontario from Maine. Very comfortable King size bed and nice shower. The rooms are a good size. The restaurant is excellent! Really nice to have such a comfortable room and a great meal after a long day of hiking and driving. There is also an excellent bagel place nearby, for breakfast the next morning. Nestled at the base of Mount Orford, Bistro 4 Saisons is a charming dining spot within the Espace 4 Saisons hotel that offers a delightful blend of simple yet refined European-style cuisine. The restaurant exudes a warm and relaxed ambiance, making it an ideal setting for couples seeking a romantic evening or anyone looking to enjoy top-notch food in a cozy environment.
Our first time here and what a most enjoyable and marvelous experience. The service is impeccable and the food out of this world divinely scrumptious. This is a 5-star establishment serving the chef's creations with what is available locally. Here, you won't be served frozen pizza or boxed pasta. The hotel prides itself in hosting the #1 restaurant in Orford, and it looks like they'll be holding on to that title for a long time.

While out for a day in Coaticook I looked for a nice restaurant to have dinner with my wife. while scrolling I cam across Bistro 4 Saisons and I am extremely happy with our choice. We love the bistro and have been visiting Magog for years for skiing. We finally made it during the summer and we are delighted we did. The food, presentation, and service continue to be outstanding. My husband and I both enjoyed the Table d’hote which is a salad/ soup, appetizer, main dish and coffee/tea. My husband loved loved (a lot) the Panna cotta tomatoe salad and cous cous main. If you like cream then the pan a cotta will anppeal to your palate. It is a different spin on the caprese salad. I loved the tuna appetizer, and the mushroom pasta. It is more than I can eat but the leftover pasta is divine . The food here is simply delicious and creative. There is a warm atmosphere at the bistro. If we lived in Magog we would be regulars. You will not be disappointed. Merci.

The food was delicious and the portions were surprisingly big. An entrée, main course, and a dessert leaves you full and satisfied. Although we arrived at the last minute, right before the kitchen closed for preparation for the supper, they were understanding and flexible. The waiter was polite and kind. The veal liver was delicious and had many flavour combined. The melted cheese stick was very delicious, they transformed a simple meal into a delicious entrée. The tortellini lacked a bit of seasoning, but it was overall good. The fish burger was delicious too, but unfortunately we found one bone in the patty. It happens, nothing wrong with that. The dessert was light and it complements the coffee well. Lastly, the soup, as well as the chicken and chips plate was delicious as well. Thank you for the meal.

We had the pleasure of dining at Le Bistro 4 Saisons during a recent anniversary tour of the Eastern Townships. From the moment we entered to the moment we left, it all felt right. Highlights of the meal included an excellent butternut squash soup, the seafood risotto and a toothsome veal liver. Another highlight was our charismatic server/sommelier, Benoît, who twice thanked us for choosing their restaurant as part of our special weekend. Three cheers for attention to detail 👏 All of this as the sunset over adjacent Mont-Orford. Perfection!

Restaurant Fondissimo offers a contemporary dining experience with a focus on fondue, featuring exotic dipping meats like ostrich and kangaroo. Guests appreciate the reasonable prices and the option to bring their own wine. The cheese fondue is particularly praised, as well as the Chinese fondue. The restaurant also offers a table d'hote for two people, which includes an appetizer and a dessert. Diners enjoyed dishes such as rabbit confit and hazelnut fondue.

Fantastic experience. A bit pricey, but well worth the cost (this is a reservation only restaurant, after all!). Excellent cheese fondue, and even more impressive broth for the main course. Meats were succulent, and vegetables were amazingly fresh. The sweet potato wedges were beautifully seasoned and I’d eat a whole meal’s worth if I could! Sauces were absolutely fantastic. The dessert was also wonderful. We had a white-and-strawberry chocolate - deliciously sweet, and the accompanying berries were somehow fresh, even though they weren’t in season as far as I know! Would 100% recommend!

Loved this place. Reasonably priced with a bring your own wine option. The cheese fondue was spectacular and the Chinese fondue was very nice as well. Could not rate this place high enough. Expectations exceeded! The food, service, and atmosphere were all perfect. This was one of the best meals I've had in ages. Everything was so fresh. We were literally seated beside fresh basil plants. Our server Luca was very kind and helpful. But many servers stopped by to fill our water and serve us. Came here for dinner with the family after a long day at the spa nearby — and this spot definitely hit the mark. Not only was the food great, but our waiter made the experience even better. He humbly apologized for his English, but honestly, he spoke perfectly and we understood everything 😊 He even convinced us to try the cannoli — no regrets! The food came out quickly and the presentation was beautiful. The pesto in the burrata salad was so refreshing, and the seafood pasta… finally, shrimp that aren’t rubbery! They were tender and cooked to perfection 👌 If you’re in the area, this place is a must-visit!

Delicious! Was packed on the Friday we went, but still got a table with no reservations. Our waitress was wonderful and knowledgeable. Food was amazing and had a great atmosphere. We had pasta but the pizza was very popular.

A great place to sit and relax. A group of 11 of us ate here and everyone ordered different things. We all loved what we ordered. I had the chicken parm and liked it.

I’ve had pasta all over the world and make it a lot myself, so I’m picky but this was honestly the best I’ve had at any restaurant (ordered Penne all’Arrabbiata). Perfect. Server was great, no complaints. If you’re in Magog, this restaurant is a must try.

Its a nice Italian place although expensive in my opinion. The fried calamari was definitely worth it but my pasta alla vongole definitely wasnt. Definitely had better for the same price and definitely not fine dining but an expensive italian bistro.

The best Italian restaurant I’ve ever had in my life hands down. The food is to die for, the people are beyond phenomenal and the vibe is amazing! We had the calamari entree and arancini, no other restaurant in Quebec comes close to how good theirs are. I had the lasagna, let me tell you, you will not regret ordering it. My husband had the veau el limon with penne a la gigi, absolutely delicious. 1000% recommend. PS reserve a seat in advance because it’s always jam packed.
