Outdoor Activities
Cha-Am Beach is a stunning stretch of over 5 kilometers of soft white sand along the Gulf of Thailand, perfect for those seeking a relaxing getaway. This beach offers plenty of shade from trees and an array of activities to enjoy, including pony rides, banana boat tours, and rejuvenating Thai massages. While it can get busy on weekends with numerous vendors setting up umbrellas, visiting during the week allows for a more tranquil experience.
Beautiful, clean & peaceful beach. Few water sports activities available.
Shouvik M — Google review
Awesome and relatively clean beach full of locals and a few tourists, so no overpriced traps. Lots of street food and restaurants along the side streets and the main promenade.

Nice beach. Shallow calm water. Relaxing and pretty empty when we went mid October. There are restaurants and beach umbrellas to rent if you desire.
Angelo B — Google review
Very nice beach. A few activities. Perfect place to take some beautiful photos.
M K — Google review
Cha-am Beach has a very beautiful sea and clear water. I really like the sea here. The streets and houses are beautiful. The Thai people are very kind. The prices are not too expensive. Traveling is convenient. There are many rooms and the prices are not expensive. I love Cha-am Beach.
K K — Google review
A nice local beach, we stayed at Long Beach hotel just within a few mins walk, quite convenient. We bought cakes and ice cream from a hotel and enjoyed the sea view. So relaxing 😎😌
Aom A — Google review
Good beach throughout the week. Not so much on weekends. Water is pretty cloudy here so you can forget about snorkelling. Chairs along the beach are 30thb each, a small table is an extra 30, a large table will cost you 60. You get 5 hours for these prices. Pretty cheap.

Nature & Parks
Nestled within the Don Masang National Reserved Forest, Cha-am Forest Park spans 665,600 square meters and offers a serene escape into nature. The park is adorned with casuarina trees, tropical plants, and cacti, creating a picturesque setting around the tranquil lake where waterfowls reside. Visitors can explore walking paths and bicycle trails while keeping an eye out for wild gibbons swinging through the trees.
It's a lovely place for a stop. Peaceful, well maintained, clean public toilets. Also a good place for some exercise. A run, a walk, or on the fitness equipment. There is a camping ground as well, with very few tents, so lots of space. We enjoyed this park.
Jet V — Google review
Good park to ride with bicycle, walk or bird watching. We saw a lot of beautiful birds, water or monitor lizard and had the great opportunity to see the big gibbons. Nature park with lively surroundings. And you have opportunity to feed the fish in the pound. No entrance fee.
Juulija D — Google review
Bit out of the way by foot, but worth a visit. Cool and tranquil, shaded by trees there are a couple of lakes to walk around. There are tracks for bikes and pedestrians and several toilets. There's even a small café where local residents meet up in the mornings if you fancy a chat with new people.
Michael L — Google review
It was advertised that there were Gibbons here. Apparently, they got aggressive and had to be relocated. I think there is just one left and it was not outside anywhere we could see it.
Bill G — Google review
Good scenery and nature with an affordable fish food but I am sad that we did not get to see a gibbon There is also a fish feeding spot for ten bath which is quite affordable (SGD 0.04)
Julien L — Google review
This was my first visit to this park, the first being several years ago. It's set back off the highway, which makes it a nice peaceful place for a jog or a bike ride. Also found a shaded picnic table within the campground, so I rested a while and read a book. Some trails are shaded, while others are sunny, so be prepared for that. Bathrooms near the park office were of average cleanliness, with some squat toilets and some sit down toilets. I heard (but did not see) lots of bird life, however I didn't see the family of gibbons this time. There's a cafe on site, but I did not eat or drink there, so I can't comment on the cafe. Overall a nice way to spend a few hours. Admission is free.
John K — Google review
This is a beautiful, well maintained park. It's got trails for walking, jogging, biking. It's Scott lakes with fish and other wildlife. It's got so many trees with lots of shade. It's got beautiful facilities and well maintained bathrooms. It has what I go down there for, a nice badminton court. This place needs and exceeds expectations.

We did a 5km run here this morning and throughly enjoyed discovering this forest park in the cool November temperature. Great long twisting running/biking path. We saw two gibbons and a beautiful bird. Fun experience that is definitely worth another visit.

Nature & Parks
Khao Nang Panthurat Forest Park is a well-maintained national park that is known for birdwatching, scenic views, and limestone formations. The park offers two trek paths - a light 75m option with stunning views of the rice fields and a tougher 1.3km route with sharp lime stones and monkeys. Visitors are advised to wear proper trekking shoes, carry enough water, and choose their path accordingly. There is no entry fee to the park.
Great hike and spectacularviews but you need to be in shape. Don't let the rock stairs fool you as there are several areas you need to scramble up the rocks. I think it is easiest if you start on trail end closest to the glass slipper. See red arrow on photo of map.
David B — Google review
A gorgeous national park with a good variety of routes to hike and explore. The routes are a bit more demanding and will probably cause you to sweat. The viewpoints are worth it though as well as the bamboo forest trails and the close connection to nature. You should not expect a lot of wildlife while walking across the forest. There are some monkeys especially at the entrance but otherwise only centipedes, bugs and maybe some birds. There is a lot of shade on the trail and the food at the cafe also was not bad.If you like to hike then I would recommend a visit.
Joshua — Google review
It's a beautiful park with some spectacular views. However the review we read suggested that it was an easy trail but reality is that it's very difficult with very steep assent to reach the top. The path is not always clear and sometimes you have to scramble over big rocks. We are regular walkers and found it hard going. But the views are very good once at the top. Just be prepared and be mindful of your health if proceeding
Peter B — Google review
A fun hike but a bit slippery and steep in some areas. The views are beautiful. Cute monkeys in some parts too. About 1 hour if you take your time. We had a 4 yr. old with us, but I don't recommend it.

Fighting with a large number of mosquitoes, climb on sharp Rocks sometimes... Better wear trekking shoes, long pants, rush guard (UV protection long sleeve) and breathable gloves. Also bring water, towel.

🥾One of the best activities that can be done in this region is hiking here. 🆓It is great that visiting the park is free. ⌚ The hiking route in the park is 2.8 kilometers according to my Garmin watch. It took 1 hour and 32 minutes to walk the entire route. At some points I was out of breath and rested. 🏔️ There are very steep places and sharp rocks on the hiking route. I think it is not very suitable for children to walk here. Maybe your children can play in the camping area. Additionally, if you are not at a certain fitness level, walking here may be challenging for you, even as an adult. ‼️ When you reach the observation terraces, definitely stay away from the terrace because the woods on the ground are not solid and some of them are already broken. 👟 I walked with my Sketchers brand shoes, but I recommend taking a backpack 🎒 with you and putting a bottle of water and small snacks in it. Moreover, take a clean t-shirt 👕 and shorts or pants with you because I sweated a lot during the hike. You can change your dirty clothes after the hike. 🐒 The monkeys at the starting point of the trail are interesting and food is not allowed to be given to them. ☕ After the hike, I rested at the cafe and drank water and coffee. 🚿You can take a cold shower in the restrooms. Bring a pair of slippers. To be honest, I enjoyed the hike so much, even though I went there alone. Being in nature calms you down and makes you happy. If you like hiking, definitely go here.
Emre S — Google review
We really enjoyed this place. The guards were very friendly and kind and although we had to pay the foreigner price, they let our two kids in free. The hike over the hills and down towards the sea was beautiful. We wished it had been longer, but it was still worth it. We saw lots of butterflies, beautiful flowers, thousands of crabs and some other critters of the sea, and lots of cool rocks. We saw naughty monkeys who wanted to steal snacks. There is a row of bathrooms near the less rugged side of the trail. There's a small section of glass bridge but since the tide was out it wasn't too fascinating.

Siam Venezia is a Venice-themed area located in Hua Hin, Prachuap Khiri Khan Province, covering over 100 acres. It features small canals, Italian-style buildings, shops, restaurants, cafes and hotels. The complex also includes amusements such as a small zoo and a train.
Very nice place and so helpful staff. Kids will love it especially there are some good activities.
Aysha A — Google review
99% EMPTY AMUSEMENT PARK, BUT... Let's be clear here, this is a very large amusement park, absolutely huge.. but 99.9% of the shops, restaurants, attractions are CLOSED. The staff told me there was a shopping mall that was closed since the SCAMdemic (covid-19). The only thing that's open is a wine restaurant, a large cafe , 3d museum, a petting zoo, and a souvenir store. So is it worth going to? I SAY YES. Even though all attractions are closed, you have the entire park to yourself! When I was there during the afternoon, I only saw 4 other people in the park - at different times. Other than that it was completely deserted, a ghost town. There were a few workers in the park watering the plants, restaurant, the boat guy, security guard, and a lady at the 3D museum. If there were more people and the stalls were all open, this place would be like a mini Disneyland. Seeing all the children's rides, abandoned shops and restaurants was a quite bizarre I will admit. I walked around for about an hour taking pics and playing with the animals at the petting zoo. Since I was the only one at the farm the lady gave me some plants to feed the cows. Would I go again? Most likely no, as I don't like Hua Hin.. will be leaving soon. I find this city to be a very boring place. But if you are here I suggest you check it out at least once. PS I DID NOT PAY AN ENTRANCE FEE!! I am a foreigner and I didn't purchase a ticket.. so I have no clue about the negative reviews posted here. I simply walked in and enquired about the prices, they said entrance fee for foreigners 200, but if I bought something at the cafe I can just go into the park. I purchased a hot cocoa, afterwards they told me to just go in and walk around. I have honestly no clue on the packages they are charging here considering 99% of the park is closed. So forget about those negative reviews, and just go.. you have the entire theme park to yourself! It's a big beautiful park, plenty of cool stuff to see like a giant Batman and RoboCop head, etc. A real shame that this park doesn't the recognition it deserves, a lot of effort has been put in. Maybe some day it can be ressurected and be great again.
J N — Google review
Let me preface this review with, I think this place is very well-built, very pleasing to the eyes, but an economically depressed business model. I found this amusement park to be a contradiction of many things. This place is economically depressed with only a small cafe, pizza, and wine store, and a gift shop open. It doesn't take a genius to realize that the working business model of this establishment is not economically viable. This place charges an admission with separate prices for locals and foreigners. It offers package price deals for the different attractions that are not even operating. Overall, if you want to be, maybe one of five or six people walking around, this place offers great photo opportunities. It has incredible structures and art d'objects, the shopping opportunities are non-existent so I would recommend this place if you want peace and quiet but it is not a vibrant shopping experience.
Aw M — Google review
If you like when you have the whole place to yourself, you’ll love it here. Not much to come here for other than sightseeing. You’ll have to pay 100 if you’re a local or 200 if you are a foreigner to enter, activities beyond the free ones will cost you extra.
Angkoon ( — Google review
Not a bad place to chill out and kill some time. Very quiet and peaceful. Few attractions to take part off and several food shops. Most of the shops not operational.
Jev G — Google review
Looks like a theme park I built 25 years ago in the Roller Coaster Tycoon with tons of decorations but zero attractions. If the owner played it too, they would have known it will be an empty park. Nowadays you can get RCT on Steam for just 37.25 THB on promotion and imagine yourself as a guest in such a park. Really a great deal if you ask me. The game is timeless.
Catflyflyfly — Google review
Most rediculous thing ever… it’s beautiful sure but everything is closed and it feels like an abandoned ghost town. We paid 80 bath for entrance which is just insanely not worth it. Why charge for entrance to an abandoned shopping mall. 100% tourist scam. I will never come back and I will tell all people I meet on my way not to go here. As much as I love Thailand just as much I hate when Thailand does these things to tourists. Freaking rediculous !!
Kasper H — Google review
As a tourist, this place is not worth your time and money, especially on low season. It’s perfect for those who like quietness and peace, great for little kids. Food is a little bit expensive but there’s wide variety, and moderate quality. The staffs here are nice, they offer to take your photos for free as well. Overall, for at max 699 and lowest at 200 bhat, this place could be a little bit better.

Great fun. We went in the afternoon and there was no wait. Easy explanation, and I was off. There is plenty of time to practice before going off on the other tracks. Salas Pool Restaurant is an Italian gem tucked away in the Sheraton Hua Hin. The atmosphere is relaxed by the pool, the staff is incredibly friendly, and the food... Generous portions of delicious pasta, perfect pizzas from their wood-fired oven, and fresh seafood. Plus, the prices are totally reasonable considering the quality. The place it's very nice, surrounded by the huge swimming pool. Unfortunately open just 2 days per week . Italian food really improvable, may be a refreshment course needed in the kitchen. As pizzas are good enough, pastas are precooked as well risotto rice... and this is really disappointing. Service really kind.

During this crazy time of COVID I sometimes think it might be a tad unfair to post lukewarm reviews about places. It’s hard to plan for customers and to keep fresh ingredients on hand. That’s what I think might have happened at Harry’s when I visited. Lots of great reviews, but the chicken green curry I had was not special at all. It was too salty and the chicken, while abundant, consisted of very small, tough pieces that might have been frozen too long or something. I’m not writing this place off for future visits, but I’ll probably wait until things are back in full swing. I think they just had an off day. UPDATE JUNE 11, 2022: I came and had a pizza today. It had mushrooms, ham, salami, and black olives. The cheese and toppings were very good. Like a previous poster stated, it’s nothing special and the crust, while having a great texture, is rather bland. I did enjoy this pizza though. Service, as always, was fantastic.

This is a fantastic little open-air restaurant. My daughter has dairy allergies so we requested a pizza without any cheese and she was able to eat with no problems. The lady who was working was incredibly kind and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. The pizzas we had were delicious, with a well-balanced sauce on a cracker thin crust. The meats were delicious. This is a highly recommended spot to grab a delicious pizza.

Bland food and very overpriced. I ordered stir-fried veg and received raw vegetables in a watery oyster sauce....that plus a small plate of fries and a small can of coke cost nearly 300 baht! I have had much better elsewhere in Cha-am at for much less money. I believed the reviews, which must be either fake or written by people who don't know any better.

Songkran morning. We arrived early from the hotel for breakfast but was too early. The staff kindly helped to pack breakfast to take away. The hotel breakfast is horrible. The rice was undercooked and minced pork was miserable minute in quantity.

During the time of Covid19, the Beach Cha-Am Cafe is "ok". The hours of operation are a bit erratic, the upstairs dining area with the nice view is closed on the evening we visited and the menu seems to be limited or some items are out of stock. We dropped in for dinner on Saturday night and my daughter wanted some "farang food". The cafe was out of burgers. She opted for penne pasta with Bolognese sauce. We also ordered stir-fried beef in oyster sauce and "pad cha seafood". We started with the bruschetta. Some cocktails were also nice. The food taste was above average but the prices seemed a bit high. The penne pasta dish was 220 Baht. Maybe it's the Beach Road premium. The waitresses were friendly, but they seemed a bit distracted even though we were the only customers. They made it clear that the restaurant would be closing at 8:00 pm. Is this early closing time a Covid19 rule in Cha-Am? I would like to give the Beach Cha-Am Cafe another chance when things hopefully get back to a more normal situation.
