Hacienda Campo Rico is a charming 1930s Caribbean estate located just a short drive from Carolina. The property, set on a former sugar cane plantation, boasts lush gardens, vibrant peacocks, tropical birds, and Paso Fino horses. One of its main attractions is the Ecoadventure Ziplining tour through the expansive 2,300-acre estate, culminating in the unique hilltop Mojito Bar for refreshing drinks.
Great fun here with wonderful staff! We did the ATV tour and we had a muddy blast. Beautiful scenery and animals on the property too. Definitely recommend going!

Good place to go for horseback riding. Short lesson on how to guide your horse. Your guide is willing to take your picture during the ride from your own phone. The restaurant is good to eat at. Bottles of water is $2 each. It will be hot on your ride.
Vanessa H — Google review
We did the ATV tour. It was so much fun, and just long enough! If you want to save a little money, be sure you have a face cover. They do sell them in the waiting area. Our tour guide (I cannot remember her name) gave lots of information and guided everyone safely while giving us the best time. I suggest long pants and, possibly, long sleeves. You may be scratched by some branches. Also, use sunscreen and bug spray! During the break, we ate empanadas and some kind of pork skewers. The bathrooms are surprisingly clean!

My husband and I had a wonderful time at Haciendo Campo Rico. We took the 2 hr-ATV tour, with an amazing tour guide and devoured the delicious food there! From booking the tour, to check-in, the staff was pleasant and helpful. I can't wait to visit again, to enjoy the horseback riding.
Stacy R — Google review
We went ziplining here and it was amazing. The guys helping us through were great and made sure everyone was safe. I will warn you it is quite the hike up into the rainforest. Wear good supportive shoes. The hike is totally worth it though. It is beautiful.
Renae G — Google review
We had a blast here at the ATV experience! Very friendly service, good food and vibes! We’d definitely visit again.
Amar A — Google review
John was absolutely amazing. Caring and took his time with us. He took our photos and joked around making the day much better. I appreciate you John. I wish the company with make different booking for beginners because people like me that know how to ride was not scared. People that never rode before was scared to drive which in turn made us go slow and stop soooo many times which becomes aggravating for people who actually want to ride and enjoy the tour.

We booked the ATV tour…and let me tell you…straight up amazing and well worth it. Our guide, Mario, was very engaging throughout as well as giving us a bit of background on the ranch. Would definitely recommend!!

Children's museum
Museums
Museo del Niño de Carolina is the only children's museum in Puerto Rico, offering over 100 interactive exhibits covering various subjects from music and art to transportation and physics. The outdoor area features a go-kart track, a donated plane, a mini zoo, and a small ferry for jungle cruises. There are dedicated sections for toddlers as well as older children with activities like talking on shortwave radio and exploring environmental and health exhibits.
Excellent experience and very enjoyable day. Please call before going as they do have a limited schedule and close for holidays specific to Puerto Rico.
Clinton J — Google review
Very reasonably priced and the kids get a cool bus ride from the parking lot to the museum. Lots of fun learning activities for kids of all ages. New options like boat rides for kids over 3 and a safari train. Mini zoo was full of lots of friendly animals. This was our second time going and both of our kids (4yr & 1.6 yr) both loved it. Definitely recommend bringing your kids and refreshments because it does get hot outside.
Mireya — Google review
This is a hands on museum with great interactive play. The kids spent hours running around experiencing the exhibits which were everything from music, science, tech and construction. There was a mini zoo and go carts, you have to ride the go carts!! We had a wonderful time!! I would suggest arriving early in order to get a great experience. We bought tickets to the mini zoo but did not get to go due to time restraints. Parking is about 1 block away but they do have a shuttle. The entrance fee and add-ons are very reasonable. They even provide pricing for special neede kids. My daughter has autism and ADHD this is the BEST place for her. She can touch, she can talk loud, she very much enjoyed herself here!!
Alana ( — Google review
Great place to spend time with the family. The exhibits are self explanatory no Spanish needed. Price is fair. The parking lot is located diagonally across the street and costs $3 (no shade). The go karts were a hit! They ask that you wear glasses and if you don’t have any you can purchase ones for $1. We didn’t get to go through the zoo or playground it was painfully hot out. Unfortunately, The jungle trip was closed. They’re only open Friday through Sunday. We went on a Friday at 11a there were a few school groups some locals and some tourists. Not too busy.
Romina P — Google review
The Museo del Niño de Carolina offers a nice, pleasant experience for families, especially for younger kids looking to explore and roam around. While some of the indoor attractions might feel a little outdated compared to larger museums on mainland US, they genuinely try their best to make it engaging for children. The food options for sale are pretty marginal, but still okay. The gift shop is a bit sad, but if you're set on a souvenir, you might find something. The outdoor area is where the museum truly shines! We noticed a "5D" theater, but it was locked during our visit, so we couldn't experience what it offered. Moving past that, there's a really fun playground area that's great for kids of all ages. Just be aware that it's not shaded at all, so expect it to be scorching hot with nowhere to sit. Given how hot these areas can get, it's very important to arrive prepared with plenty of water and keep a close eye on your kids for any signs of heat exhaustion. The mini zoo area was a delightful surprise! You can even pay to feed the animals, which were all very calm and gentle. There's also a large airplane to explore, but the heat outside kept us from checking it out. Overall, it was a nice museum to take the kids to, offering plenty of little areas for them to explore. We'd definitely go again!
Jeff — Google review
This was the best time the kids had here. They have go karts, mini zoo and tons of hands on activities. One of my girls has autism and ADHD, this was the perfect setting for her. I would suggest getting there early to allow time for the kids to experience it all.
Alana S — Google review
We needed to take a day break from the beach and took the kids here. The place is cool but simple, unlike other kids museums I've seen. They have other areas outside that cost extra, like why charge $2 more to go inside an out of commission airplane for a "tour" that is like 10mins long and there's nothing to it, they show you a couple things on the outside, you go in the back and out the front and that's it. And when it's closing time, they have staff going around kicking everyone out, lol. All in all, it's a cool place to keep the kids busy for a day.
Cesar V — Google review
The museum brings back fond childhood memories as it’s a staple excursion spot for many schools. However, many of the “interactive” attractions were broken or missing pieces, therefore not being fully enjoyable. They won’t return your money if it rains and you’re yet to use the track racing tickets. Their plane walk-through is scheduled bi-hourly (every half an hour) at the front of the museum. Some museum clerks were unaware of some exhibition data when asked; nonetheless, it was still enjoyed by my nephew. (Beware of the prices, which are quite high and there’re hidden fees as well!)

Pine Grove Surfing Beach, located on the northern edge of Puerto Rico in San Juan, is a crescent-shaped white sand beach known for its tranquil blue waters protected by an offshore reef. The area near the Ritz-Carlton and Casa Cuba social club offers completely sheltered waters with a long sandbar leading to shallow offshore water. To the east, there's more surf making it a popular spot for surfing, boogie boarding, and body surfing.
Great surfing beach. Way larger and less crowded than Condado. Can rent a board & rash guard on the beach - $25 for 2h or $35 for the full day. Comes with a free coconut too.

Beautiful beach and big waves but still good enough to relax in the water. Very blue and clear water and has shade toward the back areas.

This section of beach in Isla Verde is just as beautiful as all the others. Very quiet, never too crowded and very clean. I sit here with my wife on our beach chairs under our umbrella and watch the people walk by, and wonder what we used to worry about

We have been coming to this beach and area since 2015. The beach is so incredibly pristine and the sand soothing to your feet. Always gets better here every time we come. The salt water is so refreshing. I highly recommend going here.

Parque Julia de Burgos, located in Ave. Roberto Clemente Esquina Paseo de los Gigantes Carolina, is a recreational park offering a 5-mile-long trail along the Blasila stream. The lush landscapes and beautiful flora make it an ideal spot for families to spend the day. Visitors can enjoy walking or jogging on the track, which features obstacles and stretching stations at intervals.
2 walking parks divided by a peatonal bridge. About 12k to 15k steps. Lots of trees and shade.

Drove 30 minutes on Thursday, October 2nd to arrive @ 2pm and park was CLOSED. Google and website is INCORRECT for hours. Google address took me to pin where I didn't even see the park, but thankfully a policeman nearby told me it was closed when I was aimlessly driving to find in multiple locations nearby. Very disappointed.

This is an urban park. It's a recreational space in Ave. Roberto Clemente Esquina Paseo de los Gigantes Carolina. The park, you'll find a five-mile-long trail, exercise areas, and a small water park for kids called Aquasol. My partner and I visited the park on a daily basis to make exercises.
Aury J — Google review
I walk and exercise there. Its need attention on maintenance and security. Fences are broken and there is an infection of mangostas, rats and moskitos. I believe they have the man power to work on it. Maybe they need resources. Also the water of river should be clean up. It a hazard it is full of trees, junk and it the nest of rats, mangostas, lizards and caimans. Needless to say also MOSKITOS. PLUS THE SMELL IS HORRIBLE WE THE NEIGHBORS AROUND CANT TAKE IT
Angela F — Google review
Good for exercising, jogging, running or walking. It has lighting at night although it locks down by 7:00 or 7:30. Sundays it remains closed.
Iris E — Google review
Place is very good for children. Not much so for older children and adults. The Pina colada (non alcoholic) was delicious and there hot dogs. There wasn't much of a food selection but enough to hold yourself down.
Unknown S — Google review
As of now (January 2019), the park's track for jogging/walking is open to the public after being closed for a while because of hurricane Maria in 2017. I get there around 9AM four days a week and it's open every day except for major holidays. I always liked this park and I am glad it's back in order. For now the parking fee is $1 between Monday and Friday; free parking on Saturday and Sunday.
Julio R — Google review
Good place to exercise if you are looking for a nature. The park it self has a outdoor training station where you can do pull ups, push ups and etc. Some of them are worn down and are a littel bit dangerous, so try not to use them. Also the the walking/running track is kind of umbalanced, but its nothing out of this world.

Nestled in the vibrant Isla Verde area, Hotties Restaurant & Bar is a delightful spot that promises an unforgettable dining experience. Known for its inviting atmosphere and attentive service, this bar and grill offers a diverse menu featuring mouthwatering dishes that cater to various tastes. Whether you're in the mood for savory seafood or hearty grilled options, Hotties has something to satisfy every palate.
If you come on a slow night don’t be discourage the food and service is A+! We had the snapper, grilled chicken breast, macaroni and cheese, tostones, and red beans and rice. Everything was excellent. The macaroni and cheese taste similar to Chick-fil-A Mac & cheese. It was delicious and hot.

Hotties was a good restaurant to go. It’s located in a nice area. This restaurant is nothing crazy but It is pretty good. Food was good but a bit pricey for what it was in my opinion. We got a Big Sampler as an appetizer and it was very good but it cost around $35. For mains we got a full fried fish and a filet fish both very good for a good price as well. For 3 people the bill came back for around $140-$190
Sean M — Google review
Decent place to eat close to where we were staying. Wasn’t too busy, sat outside which was nice. Food was decent but not great considering the price. Lemonade was amazing, but found out they cost $6/each which is crazy for a glass of lemonade.
Brad A — Google review
Food is really good for this area , great value and price for it. But service was a bit strange, we asked another round of wine and waitress brought another wine and didn’t say nothing. When we had understood that wine is different she told that they were out of previous wine so just change it… When we asked which wine do they have they didn’t show us wine menu - they just said that wine prices started from 80$ minimum but by the glass it costs 8$…Really confusing situation…

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. Coming to PR for the first time we expected authentic PR food, we waited an hour and it was not busy. Our waiter never checked on us the whole time while we waited, if I needed water when I had no drink or nothing. Never tells us or apologizes for our food taking a whole hour, the beef mongo tasted like American beef pot pie… literally. The rice and peas… tasted mushy and like boxed rice and peas. She never asked how we were doing or our food was after. It was horrible. My friend got chicken tacos… you would think it is Spanish chicken tacos… the tacos literally were chicken tenders, cold flour like it came right from the plastic bag you buy it in and cold shredded cheese slapped on the top.. Taco Bell could have done better! My 4 year old would eat this. TERRIBLE AND THE RATES SUCK. We spend almost $100 together on this nasty food and terrible customer service.

The name may give you reservations. But the food, service and ambience will definitely not. Our server was very welcoming, informative, attentive and professional. The beer was cold and the cocktails delicious. My fish was prepared perfectly; light, flaky and so good. My wife’s pork chop was delicious as well. The restaurant itself is very bright , clean and attractive, with very attractive decor. Music was not too loud. Bathrooms were pretty big, and spotless. We walked to the restaurant, but they offer free parking in the hotel directly next door. Outdoor seating available as well.

Restaurant
Mi Casita is a popular breakfast spot located in Isla Verde, just a five-minute walk from the Wyndham hotel. It offers full breakfast for an affordable price of $3 and serves basic but tasty Puerto Rican dishes like criolla omelette with local bread. The restaurant is known for its great portions and delicious food. Additionally, it's conveniently situated in a small strip mall across from the Intercontinental, making it easily accessible for hotel guests.
We had 2 fantastic dinners here. We liked it so much we came back the second night. The table next to us also came back the next night. Food was delicious. Service was attentive and friendly. Don't believe the bad reviews about this place.
Sarah A — Google review
This restaurant overall was below average for the price, food taste, atmosphere and presentation. The environment is very basic and does not give you a very clean feeling. I don’t want to even imagine how the kitchen is. But that is not the issue. The food is very average tasting and poor presentation when compared to the price of dishes. See the pictures below. We had couple of mofongo and asapoa and both we felt was underwhelming compared to what we had elsewhere. The service is slow and not very warm. The drinks were below average and on top of that they added 18% service charge for 4 people and below average service. Not cool at all. Would not go back again.
Subhrendu D — Google review
Restaurant offered authentic Puerto Rico food. We ordered beef mofonga and beef with onion served with beans and rice. Waiters were straight forward and did not interact much but gave some suggestion on what to order. Also food is fairly priced. Overall, would recommend this restaurant.

We were staying at the sonesta and wanted a nice dinner nearby. The pictures looked good and we heard good things despite the low reviews, but if I had to describe our dining experience with one word, I would say it was inconsistent. The service was subpar, the food was mediocre, the drinks took long to arrive, and there was a man in the dining room blasting music and videos on his phone - I think he was the owner. I wanted to like everything, but it was not great. I wouldn’t go back.
Greysun M — Google review
We had tried this place right after hurricane Maria and it was really good. Unfortunately, it seems to have gone downhill. I normally don't do negative reviews, but we paid almost $90 for food that was served on paper plates and really watered down drinks from plastic cups. Some of the food items that we ordered were actually missing ingredients. There are a lot of nice places in the area. If you are looking for something that is relatively inexpensive and You get nice quality ingredients. The waiter was great so no problem there. If a picture says a thousand words then check out the one I posted. Enough said.

Puerto Rican restaurant
Platos Restaurant & Bar is a popular dining spot in Isla Verde, Puerto Rico. It offers a variety of Puerto Rican and Caribbean dishes, providing a taste of the local cuisine. The restaurant serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner with options for brunch on weekends. With its convenient location near the beachfront, it's an ideal place to savor gourmet fare with strong Puerto Rican influences while enjoying the beautiful setting.
This restaurant is low key from the outside, easy to pass it by. I recommend not passing it by, you won't regret stopping in. The food is just bursting with unbelievable flavors, and the coconut sangria is a definite must have. Our server was extremely pleasant and far from over bearing, making our visit a pleasant one.
Brandon F — Google review
Couldn't find a place to eat and stopped in here Our server was quick to the table and delivered the news the thing we came in for was sold out... At lunch time. But helped us with other suggestions. (She did ultimately forget our fritters.) Short ribs and risotto was a hit with Lee. I liked my red snapper more than I expected. The salad wasn't for me but over all we liked the dishes. My coconut sangria was a first. Kind of like drinking a Mounds candy bar. Not objectionable... Just unexpected. Paying the bill is weird. We had to get up and walk to a terminal and wait for "someone" to cash us out. Odd way to end a meal. Would stop back in if I was walking past.
Chris N — Google review
Been to this place twice (once for lunch and for dinner) and the second time I really wanted to say it was better but the food here is okay… I would say there are better Puerto Rican restaurants then this place. The Pina Colada was okay, frozen base and you can’t really taste the liquor or even know if it did have liquor after request, but it was still good. However the food was okay, had the yuca mofongo and wasn’t really my favorite it was dry and not it with my fried chicharrones. The best thing to eat with the pinones, was the best thing I had there. The ambience was quiet and the staff was very friendly but they also had a lot of items that weren’t available to order too.
Jennifer C — Google review
Absolutely loved this place. Was just a short walk from my hotel. Everyone was extremely attentive and courteous! Food was amazing along with the best pina colada I had on my trip!! When I come back to the island this will be my first stop for food!!

The food was very delicious but alittle pricey. I got the churrasco mofongo it was very filling. The churrasco was perfect. The flavors were excellent. We also got the fried cheese with guava and coco. It was a good appetizer. My friend got the mofongaso with was mofongo with everything. She loved it. The drinks were delicious too.

I went with a group on a Thursday and it was quiet around 9pm. The waiter was wonderful and knew the menu well. Pina coladas were great. I had the red snapper and subbed the tostones for sweet plantains, and had an order of rice and beans. The meal and the leftovers hit the spot. My friends enjoyed their crab rice as well.

Our server Samairy was so sweet in taking care of us. She had excellent recommendations and the food was outstanding! Lupi's is a great Mexican restaurant with friendly staff and attentive service. The margaritas here are fantastic and definitely worth trying. They have indoor and outdoor seating options, and free parking next to the restaurant. The only downside is that there's no wifi at Lupi's.
My friends and I are so happy we came here. The food was amazing, drinks were delicious and the service was top notch! We had a group of 12,, stumbled upon the restaurant the first night we were here and ended up coming back to watch football on the Sunday for a second visit!! Great food!, great atmosphere! Highly recommend!

Lupi’s in Isla Verde offers a fun, lively atmosphere with a great location near the beach and a broad menu of Mexican and Puerto Rican dishes. While the drinks, especially the margaritas, are popular, the food quality and service could definitely improve to match the prices. Overall, it’s a nice casual spot for drinks and socializing — I’d give it a rating of 3 out of 5 stars for its vibe and location.
Ralph C — Google review
We went here on vacation. I had the burrito made from a plantain and it was delicious, but cant remember the name of it. The perfect margaritas were delicious probably the best I've ever had. The guacamole tasted like wholly guacamole, but the deep fried jalapeño poppers were so good.
Renae G — Google review
First off this is a sports bar and gives sports bar vibes! That’s not where Lupi’s shines! The staff was friendly and welcoming. We got seated quick and the waiter got our drinks super fast. Tropical Mojitos…basically a regular Mojito w Pineapple, so good! One of our favorite things to do on vacation is to engage the locals this is how you end up with the best food and experiences. This time was no exception. The waiter suggested the Mofongo and we jumped at the opportunity. So for those of you that don’t know Mofongo is basically stuffed mashed plantains and it is absolutely magnificent. I choose the Churrasco which long story short is marinated Skirt steak peppers and onions. Their dish came with a side of chimichurri sauce. If you’re asking I would substitute the chimichurri with the salsa verde, the dish was missing a bit of salt and heat for my liking. Other that the small adjustment this was an amazing recommendation and the dish was a solid 9/10. We also ordered the Puerto Rico Burrito…OMFG, this dish was on point! This was a ripe plantain topped with choice of meat sauce and cheese. We went with a mixture of beef and pork, suggested by the waiter and salsa Verda. This dish also comes w beans, rice, guac, lettuce tomato black olives, and sour cream. This was by far the best burrito I have ever had in my whole life! Absolutely 10/10. So if you find yourself in Puerto Rico give it a shot.

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 5-Star Review I had such a wonderful experience at this restaurant during my visit to Puerto Rico! The food was really good. But what truly made the visit stand out was the exceptional service. Jasmine (who’s from Rhode Island 😊) went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect! She was warm, attentive, and made us feel so welcome from start to finish. If you’re in Puerto Rico and looking for a place with great food and even better hospitality, I highly recommend this spot (make sure you ask for Jasmine). Thank you, Jasmine, for making our dining experience so memorable! 💫

Probably a nice place to have a drink and watch the game. Has a fun atmosphere. We were walking by and hungry. The waitress told us 2x unprompted that the food will be out shortly. When it finally came out it clearly had been sitting around for a while it was not hot and the salsa verde didn’t cover all of it and the parts without sauce were very dry. I asked her for a little extra sauce to cover the dry spots (or save them) she said it would be $2. No thanks. The meat inside was dry and chewy. The jalapeño poppers came out after and were hot and good.

Chill sports bar vibes, big portions and strong margaritas! Service was so friendly, fish tacos were beautifully seasoned and filling, carnitas sandwich was delicious but the bun served with it didn’t stand up to the meat, fries on point, I’ll likely be back soon.

I understand why this restaurant is so highly rated! We came as a group of 4 without a reservation on a Sunday and it was packed! Fortunately, we did not have to wait very long and the host was able to accommodate us. Please please try the guava cream cheese French toast! It was the best French I’ve ever had! Well balanced, dense in flavor but light and sweet in taste. I also had the mimosa with tequila and watermelon juice and I only needed one! The service was amazing and the food came out relatively quickly as well! I would recommend making a reservation especially if you are coming on a weekend! But this was a great spot for drinks and food!

Absolutely marvelous! This is the brunch spot you need to go to. We had a wonderful brunch with a sandwich and burrito and then also shared the maple bacon pecan pancakes. If you are going here, definitely check out their Instagram page before you go because they will have secret menu items that are not on the menu itself. Our server was incredible and we enjoyed every bite of everything that we had!

We visited Bristo Café in Puerto Rico and absolutely loved it! We ordered the Monaco Omelet, and it did not disappoint—delicious, generous, and more than enough for both of us. We substituted the white toast for French toast, and I’m glad we ordered just one because the portions are huge. Their plates can easily feed three people (as long as you’re not starving!). A special shout-out to Diego, who was amazing in getting us situated and well taken care of. Excellent service and great food—highly recommended!

I had the Dubai pancakes with whipped cream, and they were absolutely delicious! Our server was very knowledgeable and gave excellent recommendations. She had purplish streaks in her hair and bangs; I didn’t get her name but she provided excellent service.

My wife and I recently had brunch at this restaurant. The wait time was approximately 45 minutes, but the service was exceptional. The food was also excellent, and the portions were generous. We would definitely return.

If you want a good breakfast with large portions this is the place to be. It was busy but we were sat immediately and our waitress was patient. The strawberry kiwi popsicle mimosa was so exciting to drink. Im stealing that idea for a girls night! We were craving pancakes so we ordered an American breakfast as well as skirt steak Rancheros & Papas Griegas. Everything was good. If youre in PR make sure to go as the menu is extensive.
