Easily the best and most trendy restaurant in Avenida Hidalgo. Great food and attentive service. Menu says “cash only” but they certainly take credit cards. On some nights they have a sax player or some kind of live music. The place is very spacious which I liked the most. Other restaurants in the area feel more crowded. We came here twice during our 4 night stay. Food was good. Prices were fair. Attention from staff was nice and were able to comply with some request for our 18 month old.

My boyfriend and I have been there 5 times in 3 days now and don’t plan to go for food anywhere else for the last days haha. It’s not only a paradise for a vegetarian celiac but also you can taste what they promise: all fresh, full of healthy nutrients and sooo delicious. Also the service is amazing, super sweet, funny, attentive and relaxed- and the Ambiente is super nice too. Best restaurant ever !!

Not a bad place for dinner. All the staff are friendly and provide good service. The ceviche, stuffed chicken, lobster mac n cheese was tasty. The other day I ordered fish of the day which was grouper and it was OK. I liked grouper better at the other restaurant next street. I recommend this restaurant for dinner if you want to be on loud place around many people because it gets very busy around 6:30-7pm The breakfast on the other hand was so so, lobster Benedict had slightly hard eggs and lobster itself was a little overcooked but I loved hollandaise sauce with siracha in it.

Luis was our server and he gave us amazing service! The food was delicious!!! Group of 6 and everyone loved their food and drinks. Honestly the best food of our entire vacation! Highly recommend.

So far the best restaurant in Isla Mujeres. The staff is top, cauliflower and shrimp tacos are to cry for more, and over all the dishes we had were incredible; we came here 3 times in a week, and never got disappointed. They also have many veggie options, which is a happy win - hard to find in the island. Super recommended!

The food was absolutely incredible. We had an iced latte and an iced chai latte to drink. We ate a ceviche, which was tasty and fresh. We also had a mexican bowl and shrimp tempura which were excellent as well. Service was great and we had the ac room to ourselves. Angel was our waiter, he was friendly and enthusiastic, which made our experience even better!

Love music and delicious food and cocktails. Gluten free items marked on the menu and servers knowledgeable about allergies. Had amazing tacos here, definitely recommend!

Most amazing breakfast ever and I am not a big breakfast person. I had the breakfast quesadillas and a cold, vanilla cappuccino. Then finished with a hibiscus mimosa. Everything was so flavorful and fresh. If you’re in the area, you definitely must try mango cafe

We had breakfast here and a got a little of everything- eggs Benedict, the pancakes, fruit plate, smoothies, margaritas lol it was so fresh and delicious 😋 the service was incredible and they were so kind with my toddler!

LOVE visiting isla mujeres and have been twice. However, I was honestly struggling on finding good food. This place is delicious and definitely hit the spot! I could eat here for Breakfast, Lunch, & Dinner.

I had the great pleasure of having lunch at Mangos and it was absolutely amazing! The food? Delish, delish, delish! The service was excellent—friendly, fast, and welcoming. The atmosphere? Just perfect—laid-back, vibrant, and full of good vibes. Honestly, everything came together for an unforgettable experience. Definitely a solid 5 out of 5. Can’t wait to go back!

Five Stars! 🌟 Mango Café in Isla Mujeres is an absolute gem! The food was delicious, and the service was truly exceptional; warm, attentive, and full of heart. I even had caramel ice cream topped with roasted almonds at 7:30 AM, and yes—it was that good! The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, and everything about the experience felt special. A must-visit if you’re on the island!

One of the best places on the island for breakfast! From the pancakes to the chilaquilas to the breakfast quesadillas, everything had lots of flavor and they used fresh ingredients. We went twice in 4 days if that tells you anything.

Delicious food and quick service. The ladies were very kind and their English is very good so communicating was very easy. This place is priced like a tourist restaurant but the portion sizes for what you pay are large. Very worth your money. Will be coming back here for sure. 10/10

Absolutely delicious! Some of the best grilled chicken I’ve ever had. And the lobster tacos were fantastic as well. Full of flavor and well priced for the portions we received. It was our third time having Javi’s but our first time in his restaurant, and it definitely won’t be our last! The live music and dancing just added to the whole experience!

Just wow!! We had the best food and service here tonight. The grilled pineapple margarita was our favorite drink. Also recommend the Parmesan crusted fish as an entree. Very flavorful!

Our first visit! Highly recommend a stop at this cute cantina! Such nice staff, great drinks (you have to try the Peanut Butter Martiny!) We tried the guacamole and Shrimp cocktail… YUM!

Party of 12 with no reservations...they brought us to a private room and gave us the best service. 2 waiters and a helper, amazing service, outstanding food and wonderful atmosphere. I ordered apps for the table, lobster bites, fried asparagus and tuna tar tar. All were fantastic. My entrée was the parmesan chicken, it was fantastic, my only complaint is the entrée was listed with veggies and potato wedges and I was served french fries. All in all, a WONDERFUL experience.

We dined in for Javi’s chef’s table experience and it was phenomenal! The dishes were absolutely amazing. There was not a thing I did not find to be delectable! Javi not only explained his dishes he also shared stories and songs with us, along with his dad. Once again we had a memorable experience dining at Javi’s Cantina and Restaurant.

Everyone visiting Isla Mujeres needs to go to this family own and operated restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious! They make all meals from scratch and they only use local products. The atmosphere is incredible as you can enjoy the beautiful sunset and watch the boats go by.

All, The experience I had and am sure you will too was absolutely amazing. Friendly kind and ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS FOOD! The environment is welcoming and warm with the best sunset on the island. Definitely a must when on the island. I had the shrimp ceviche and seafood stew. It was out of this world. I apologize for not taking a photo but you will have to go for yourself to try. Thank you so much for your delicious food and hospitality.

We had the pleasure of spending a few hours with Felipe and Marguerite, the owners of Sunset Grille. If you are looking for excellent seafood and conversation, look no further. You can tell the love that they have put into this local restaurant. The ceviche was excellent with loads of fresh fish and shrimp to start. We then had a wonderful plate of fresh, deliciously prepared grouper. Together with a great bottle of Malbec and delightful conversation, the evening was very enjoyable. Dinner was topped off with a piece of homemade key lime pie and coffee. All in all a great experience, we are grateful for their hospitality.

If you want really good fresh food cooked with family love, look no further. I felt like I was treated as part of the family. The food was freshly cooked when ordered! Keep in mind the food took a little while to be served, but it was worth it, especially during the sunset. Everything we ordered was impeccable, and we would definitely come back again to try other foods from the menu. Thank you Felipe for the great service! Pictures are below. My wife and I just had the most amazing dinner at the Sunset Grill. Wonderful Columbian potato and chicken soup as an appetizer, and then grouper and snapperas our main courses. Very friendly service from the two owners, an amazing meal, and an incredible view watching the sunset. I highly recommend you dine at the Sunset Grill.

We had a delightful evening and enjoyed meeting Felipe and Marguerite. The food was delicious, and my husband said it was the best lobster he's had. Both of them were so accommodating, hospitable and friendly--we felt like we were eating with family! Watching the gorgeous sunset was a bonus!

We had an absolutely amazing experience at Sunset Grill! The food was incredible—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. The standout dish was definitely the Greek Snapper—a must-try! Perfectly cooked and seasoned, it’s easily one of the best meals we’ve had on the island. The staff was warm, welcoming, and attentive throughout our meal. You can tell they care about making sure everyone has a great experience. The location is also a huge plus—right by the water, with a relaxed, breezy atmosphere and beautiful sunset views. 🌅 If you’re in Isla Mujeres, don’t miss this spot. We’ll definitely be back!

Unfortunately, I did get sick from the pork tacos. Not the way I wanted to spend my last 3 days of vacation. My husband very much enjoyed his food and was fine. The donut they brought us was amazing!

Visited Taco de Humo on Isla Mujeres with a group of 10, and it was one of the best food experiences we had on the island. We tried all of their tacos — including the Taco de Pastor, Taco de Arrachera, Taco de Camarón, Taco de Pollo, Taco de Pescado, and Taco de Cochinita. Even though the food took some time to prepare, everything was served fresh, hot, and full of flavor, making it completely worth the wait. The servers and owners were incredibly welcoming, upbeat, and genuinely kind. Their hospitality stood out — especially when, at the end of our meal, they surprised our entire group with fresh churros on the house. A small gesture, but it left a huge impression. If I ever come back to Cancun or Isla Mujeres, this will be one of the first places I return to. Highly recommend for anyone looking for quality tacos and amazing service.

Margaritas were great. The fish tacos are out of this world. The chicharron on on my pork tacos were stale, however. Restaurant is cute and cozy and it’s overall a good spot to stop. Shrimp tacos were just OK but the slaw was great.

The tacos at this unique hole-in-the-wall restaurant were absolutely delicious! We ordered the fish tacos, the tacos Locos, and a kids’ quesadilla for our one-year-old, which was more than enough for her! The tacos locos were out of this world! The staff was friendly and accommodating, not pushy at all. I wish I could go back tonight and have more of those tacos locos!

The fish tacos were my favourite. Nice crispy and dry breaded skin outside and soft and fresh fish inside. It was tasty and very filling. They also gave us a complementary house special donut churro which was very tasty as well. They also have an AC!

Our waitress, Valentina, was exceptionally kind and attentive, guiding us through the menu with great recommendations for both drinks and food. We decided to start with the queso fundido, which was a delightful, cheesy appetizer that set the tone for our meal. For our main course, we ordered the tacos—fish and shrimp—and they did not disappoint. The tacos were generously sized and bursting with flavor, exceeding all our expectations. Each bite was a perfect balance of fresh ingredients and vibrant spices that left us craving more. Throughout our visit, our waitress was always nearby, ensuring we had everything we needed without being intrusive. It was clear that the staff genuinely cared about our dining experience, which added to the overall enjoyment of our meal. Just when we thought our experience couldn't get any better, the staff surprised us by bringing out an exquisite cinnamon-flavored donut, generously covered in sugar and drizzled with condensed milk. You can have the best tacos on the island here. We tried the Tacos El Pecado and Tacos de Dinga, and both were absolutely delicious. The fish taco, in particular, was incredible. The portions are quite large and very filling. We also had two margaritas, and they were great as well. Since it was our first time visiting, they treated us to churro doughnuts after the meal, and those were amazing too. The staff were friendly and very welcoming. They gave us great recommendations on what to order. The atmosphere of the place is nice, though there are other spots on the island with a more impressive ambiance. Still, if you’re looking to have tacos on the island, this is definitely the best place. Highly recommended! We paid approximately 800 mexican pesos (almost 40 USD) for two people.
