Mine
Mina El Edén is a 16th-century mine located in Zacatecas, Mexico. It offers dioramas, tours, and a thrilling mine-cart ride, along with a rock and mineral museum. The city of Zacatecas is renowned for its art museums and underground tours of the old silver mine. The ornate cathedral and Jardin Independencia are within walking distance from the mine.
The tour was interesting and informative. I was lucky enough to be the only one on the tour when i went late afternoon. The tour guide (i think her name was alicia) spoke really good English and was charismatic. Went for a few drinks in la mina bar after my tour but the atmosphere was dead as the place was empty.

I can't remember our tour guide's name but he was so well versed on the history. It made our visit so much more fun. It was neat to visit.

The tour lasted 2 hours. I was recovering from an ankle injury and wasn't a rough walk The Tour Guide was very knowledgeable, courteous and funny he was making very funny jokes throughout the tour.
We were surprised how clean and organized the tour was I highly recommend it for everyone.

This place it’s a must see, it carries plenty of history about the city, amazing views around the tour, Great photography options, I had an excellent experience here.
Great and beautiful place. You take a train ride down into the mountain (a few minutes, but it felt like an eternity) once you reach bottom you will find a small museum and even a dance club! Mine is well lit and a little cool so bring a light jacket. Tour usually is about an hour, but after, you can explore at your own pace. We spent about two hours looking at everything. Tours are in spanish.
Beyond expectación!! It's the deepest and enormous mine I've ever seen. It reminds me of the mine in the lord of the rings. Very worth visiting, stunning.
The guide David Q is very professional, with perfect English explanation, very passionate, caring and humorous.

Located in a former monastery, Museo Rafael Coronel is an art museum that showcases the impressive collection of artist Rafael Coronel. Housed within the former Convent of Saint Francis, the museum boasts a remarkable display of over 10,000 masks, making it the largest collection of its kind globally. Visitors can also explore exhibits featuring Huichol art with over 150 embroidered pieces and popular altarpieces.
Never seen so many masks in my life! Definitely recommend for anyone visiting Zacatecas. The exterior of the museum is really pretty too. Preferred this over the Goita museum (although that had nice parts too)

It was a beautiful experience to see how well maintained the old church buildings are. Hopefully, they will continue to be available for many generations to come.
This museum housed in an ancient church displays the ingenuity of people who make masks for different occasions and sizes out of simple objects. Hundreds of interesting masks on display. Includes a wonderful exhibit of puppets used in shows as well as prehistoric pottery. The ruins that house the museum show the beauty of the architecture and well worth a visit. Expect to spend an hour or more.
Stop by Rafael Coronel museum in Zacatecas to discover history and traditions though the use of masks in the Mexican culture. I wish the museum had more descriptions about the beautiful expositions and its employees were more informative. I asked a few basic questions and they were no able to answer, but I have to say, all the staff was very polite and welcoming.
During my visit the museum had a en exposition from India with beautiful pieces that other way I would never be able to appreciate.
I also was invited to sign a guest book and noticed that the museum is visited by foreign tourists, it will be great if the museum includes brief description of its pieces in order lenguajes.
This museum is a gem in the enchanting city of Zacatecas Mexico.
This is a beautiful place to visit. The place has been very nicely restored and conserved, regardless of the historic art collection found in it. Really worth visiting.
The place of 1000 masks and much more. A million photo ops. Peaceful, beautiful could spend a good part of a day here.

Just a beautiful museum and so much to see. The buildings and the court yard is so amazing. Easy to walk to from el Centro. I highly recommend visiting.

Museo Pedro Coronel, located in the former Royal College and Seminary of San Luis de Gonzaga, is a remarkable museum showcasing an extensive collection of universal art. Visitors can admire pre-Hispanic, colonial, Egyptian, African, and oriental pieces alongside works by renowned artists such as Picasso, Miro, Dali, and Chagall.

Nestled in Zacatecas' Centro district, the Museo de Arte Abstracto Manuel Felguerez may seem unassuming from the outside, but it houses a remarkable collection within its 150-year-old seminary setting. The museum showcases an extensive array of paintings, sculptures, and other works by esteemed artists from the 20th and 21st centuries.
I was impressed by the number of art pieces on display; a very large collection in fact. It takes more than two hours to go through the entire museum, so my recommendation is to mind your time

This museum held a large format abstract art in MX.
Although Im not into abstract art, this museum totally worth it.
In 1970, MX was invited to the Osaka Fair, while we were just emerging from 1968, artists wanted to show a different face of our county, so they based this exposition in abstract art ( before this movement, MX art was mainly nacionalisism) So they developed this large format paintings and ended up in this museum.
Unfortunately Manuel Felguérez have just died (2020).
Loved every bit of it. If you visit zacatecas this museum is a MUST! The art is so stunning and I am now fan of Felguerez work.
Amazing to expend time enough for gazing
Wow. This museum is absolutely incredible. Huge beautiful building (part an old prison) converted to the most amazing gallery with some extraordinary exhibits and lots of amazing work by Manuel Felguerez. I was blown away by this place. Well worth a visit and incredible value. You need time to fully enjoy this there is LOTS to see!!

A surprisingly large and interesting museum. It has lots of art from many different artists and although when you enter it appears quite unimpressive it will lead you through it's maze-like halls and lead you on an adventure. The cost is even surprisingly affordable. Upon entering I thought I might spend half an hour looking at the displayed paintings and sculptures but only left nearly two hours later. It is absolutely worth a visit both to the knowledgeable art connoisseur but also, like myself, someone who does not know much about it but simply enjoys looking at art. The only negative thing I experienced was that especially toward the end it became slightly difficult to navigate. The entire time it had been very clear which way I was supposed to go but at the end I had to guess how they wanted me to end my visit.

The Museo Zacatecano, housed in the old Zacatecas Mint, offers a superb collection of Huichol embroidery, votive offerings, and 19th-century altarpieces. This historic, archaeological, and native-art museum provides insight into the culture of Zacatecas before and after Spanish colonization. Visitors can immerse themselves in the vibrant world of Huichol art known for its colorful beadwork and emphasis on cosmogony.
A good place to view old coins and some documents but the favorite part for us was seeing beautiful Hoichol Indian artwork and to learn about their customs and their sacred trail. Would love to see more of their fabric artwork for sale in the gift shop.

Interesting museum, if you want to know about Zacatecas history, this is the first place you need to visit
Very nice museum with a good variety of exhibits. It would be better if they had it in English as well.
Fue una mágica experiencia junto con el grupo teatral Histrionica Zacatecas.
I recommend to visit this place in Easter weekend, also November and celebrate Mexican dates. All the city is full of different activities like the theater group "Histrionica Zacatecas" that offer different histories about the development of the city with fun and interactive theater.
Fantastic exhibit of Huichol art and culture, really well made with great anthropological love! The rest of the museum is very eclectic in its offerings, such as money and coin printing machines from the heydays of the town’s rich mining history, as well as some oil paintings from local artists. I spend two interesting hours there.
They're happy to take your money without telling you half of the galeries are under construction and the other half get locked well ahead of the 5pm closing time, meaning if you visit even around 4pm you'll pay and then get to see pretty much nothing. Incredibly dishonest and annoying.
Nice museum in a stately old building. Love the Huichol exhibit on the second floor. Information for this exhibit in English and Spanish. Reasonable 30 peso entrance fee.
Nice place to visit if you are in town. The entrance fee is like 2 usd (2023) many of the rooms detail the history of the city

Need to book a table, they keep it up to 10 minutes after your booking time, but past that its a long wait if you miss.
This place it is small, nice setting but food is very bland for being "authentic" Zacatecas style. Food was not spicy at all. For drink we ordered a coke and they serve you a mini coke when their food is expensive you don't even get a regular size coke. My wife's enchiladas are way better than this place.
Everything about this restaurant is amazing! I highly recommend trying the mezcal with a scorpion in it. It’s an unforgettable experience. The pozole verde is amazing, the carne adobada de Jerez is so delicious!
The food is outstanding, delicious. The service, however, leaves much to be desired. Make a reservation and prepare yourself for extremely slow service.
Update: Went again for the second time. Service was much, much better. Food still amazing. Try the pozole and enchiladas!
My first time having Pozole Verde and I couldn't recommend it more! It was clear the place was about to be busy, but the number of reservations they had- but the staff was super accommodating and the food was delicious!

Nice little spot in the downtown of Zacatecas, the atmosphere is super relaxed, the food is very good and comes in good portion sizes. I recommend the arrachera con huevos estrellados. If you are in the area definitely worth checking out. The service is outstanding.
This was an American style dinner with some really good food and service was ok for it being a busy morning. We even made the local news paper there Pagina 24 Zacatecas

Small cozy dinner right by the cathedral in downtown town zacatecas. Sit in the booths if you enjoy people watching and seeing all the liveliness of the city. The freshly squeezed orange juice was great, tasted fresh. Strawberry milk shake was delicious and reminded me of the licuado mom used to make in the mornings. Service was prompt and food was good. Sauce and bread given as appetizer was tasty.

The Gorditas Doña Julia is a small Mexican restaurant that serves fresh, homemade gorditas. The atmosphere is relaxed and the food is delicious. The service is quick, and you can be sure that your food is freshly prepared.
Only place in town to have homemade gorditas like the way your grandmother made it.
One of the go to places if your in the area. Great food and fast service. You'll find yourself eating at least 5 more.

Good but not excellent, I've had much better gorditas than this by far. They are not bad either, just "meh".
Seemingly a popular neighborhood spot, pretty packed. The gorditas are made right then and there, fresh. Fillings are spicy and filling. Each gordita runs about a buck.
I really enjoyed the vibes and food from this small restaurant! It was clean and had a relaxed ambient. You could also see the cooks prepare your food so you definitely know that it is fresh! My only suggestion would be to have them give quicker service. Other than that it was a delightful and filling visit.
The gorditas were so delicious and super cheap. I probably had 5 or 6 more than I should have eaten. The service was whatever, but I didn't care. The food made up for the service plus the price was a bargain. Please do stop by!
Good for a quick bite, the gorditas are hand made fresh and delicious. I tried the pig tongue and it was okay a little chewy, I prefer cow tongue. I also had one with pig meat which was a littler over cooked but the sauce it was cooked in has lots of flavor. The bean and cheeses gordita was also okay the beans tasted like they had a little chorizo in them, not my favorite style but okay.

Summary: VERY slow service but amazing food with extremely fresh ingredients
We ordered ensalada verde, don lucky, the lasagna classic, the lucky Luciano pasta, and a special order of shrimp after we ordered everything. Everything was very good but the pasta noodles were slightly over cooked, but not overly tough. All the ingredients, especially the shrimp, were extremely fresh and the seasoning was very good. The shrimp dish is a special order. We fell in love with the shrimp that came with the Don Lucky beef dish, and asked the chef to prepare 12 shrimp separately with the same seasoning. He/she delivered amazingly and the shrimp bowl was amazing. I’d recommend anyone else who enjoys fresh seafood to order the same. Overall, very good time although quite slow with service. It’s understandable though, because every dish the ingredients were freshly prepared to order.

The place is great, the frames and decoration are unique. The food is very good and tasty, It's prepared at the moment. The service is cordial and nice, always pendient of you. The pasta and the pizza are tasty, but the best is the dessert, chocolate cake with ice cream.
Loved it. Food was excellent, service discreet and interior views stunning. Prices were fair, as we ordered chicken and pasta and wine.

An extensive menu that's a mixture of Italian and local dishes. Everything we had was delicious, and the staff were very friendly. They also have a wine list which is far from a given in Mexico. We accompanied our meal with a Montepulciano d'Abruzzo.
The service is great, very clean establishment. Atmosphere is relaxing with chill hop music and amazing artwork to surround you.
The food is worth coming back for, loved their lengua dishes, surprisingly delicious pairings with kiwi. Their enchiladas are amazing and their fried calamari were great as a starter to share!
Note: We did not try the pasta, pizza, etc. and chose items closer to the cultural cuisine.

The Restaurant was nice inside, however the food was really bad. The enchiladas that we ordered had absolutely no taste and were very blend. The Churros were very floury and not tasty at all as well. The service was good, however that unfortunately doesn't save the overall experience...
My drink of dry fruits was super delicious. I recommend trying the dry fruits drink.
Definitely name says it all. I’m a ‘churros lover’ and these out eat the Disneyland churros. Yep, they did. Talk about taste, texture, crunchiness, bite size. You can’t stop eating them! The taste is just perfect!!!
Went twice; first time (at night) there was a wait of around 20 mins, second time (at noon) probably less than 10 mins. The food comes relatively quickly but the churros take so much longer. The food is decent and traditional but nothing special, however the churros and hot chocolate are really really good and super cheap! If you have time, I recommend you go eat somewhere else and come back afterwards for a few churros.
Definitely the worst churros o have eaten, and the service is not good enough. I complaint about it and they did nothing to fix it or change it and they charged me for the churros and the extra dips that arereally bad. Chocolate was good, after this churros experience I did not wanted to ask for something else.
