The Wagga Wagga Art Gallery, located at the Wagga Wagga Civic Centre, has been showcasing studio glass since its establishment in 1979. It boasts Australia's leading collection of contemporary studio glass with over 600 pieces representing various forms, styles, subjects, and techniques. The gallery hosts curated exhibitions featuring selections from its extensive inventory as well as temporary shows for prominent Australian and international glass artists.
Stunning Regional Arts centre and National Glass Space. The various Glass exhibitions were quality works by talented artists. I especially loved the Women exhibition upstairs for Year of the Woman. Hard to believe this contemporary set of buildings is now 40 years old. Thank you Helen for the personalised introduction. ❤️

Beautiful art peices. The receptionist was hospitable. I enjoyed my time there.

A wonderful display of beautiful glass art pieces. The sleek bright building is the perfect setting. I loved the different techniques used and the variety in styles. Of the 800 art pieces in the collection, about 200 are displayed at a time. The exhibition changes every 3 months or so. I will definitely come back in Feb or March to visit again.

Fantastic gallery with an amazing collection. Worth a visit if you're in the area, but Wagga is a great spot to stay, with so much to do in the region, so take a few days and make the gallery part of the itinerary.

This art gallery was absolutely free! When we visited at the ground floor there was an exhibition by Tom Moore and it was fascinating. At the second floor there was some of the museum's collection. Well worth a visit! The lady on duty was very nice and helpful too. :)

The beach is part of the Wiradjuri Walking Track, a 30 km trail that showcases panoramic views across Lake Albert and passes through various points of interest including Flowerdale Lagoon and Gobba Beach.
Beautiful for kayaking. Check out Wagga Bidgee Canoe Club right next door. Great barbequing areas, fantastic play area for kids (and big kids!) but river can be very fast flowing and lots of snags, so stay close to the beach.

Wagga Wagga is not a seaside town so I’m surprised when I heard there’s a beach. Located along the Murrumbidgee River, it is a sandy section which is really a beach😂👍. It’s nice to see a beach with a flowing river - a nice place for beach picnic (if only it’s not so cold in June).
Ls C — Google review
Wagga Beach is a beautiful place to have a family picnic. There are onsite BBQs & kids play areas for all ages. Beautiful shadey trees & grass areas all around. Recommended
Goran P — Google review
Best river beach ever, lots of sand to play and sit on, (carries with river levels) plus beautiful lush green grass as a bonus... Has barbeques picnic tables, toilets and kiosk in season, great walking track alongside the river going both directions, Has an amazing kids playground, even this ol' chook (70) couldn't resist the flying fox, if the kids can't be entertained here for hours I'd be trading them in.. A must visit when you are in Wagga....

Great park for the kids to run around and play, plenty of variety in equipment for all ages. Plenty of equipment and it's fenced in.

Amazing park right by the river bank. It's got so many different play areas for all ages. Very good dog walking trail too.
Zandra R — Google review
Massively fantastic playground right nearby to go to before or after, (which used to be a water park). Right along the river it is the perfect spot for a bbq, picnic or swimming. Loved coming here, the perfect place in the perfect spot.

I walked 🚶‍♀️ around here last weekend it's a lovely place for picnics, kids to play in the couple of playgrounds, exercise station, a couple of toilets 🚻, bbq areas, plenty of benches to sit on and relax, kiosk, food vans, stage/amphitheatre, water refill station, plenty of shade trees 🌳, car 🚗 spaces and sculptures which are a part of the river walk 🚶‍♂️ trail

Nice small local museum. There are 2 sites to the museum, we saw both. They took about 2 hours to see each. Interesting facts on offer. A warm and interesting place to be on a cold winter day. Both museums were free entry. I am jealous that I do not have a museum in my local area.

A very interesting museum, featuring ww1 history and there also was a lot of farm machinery outside, even an old telephone booth. My husband and I really enjoyed this exhibition very much. Free admission.

A beautiful and relaxing place to visit right by the riverside. It can be a perfect picnic spot for families to bring along the kids or just to relax and read a book. There is a car parking available across the road right next to which are the public toilets for men and women. There are many historical memories in the park remembering the war memories. There are gigantic and beautiful trees situated inside. There are water fountains, a barbecue area and sitting benches, and some slides for kids. There are some beautiful flowers and plantations to please the eyes on a calm weekend; worth a visit.

It was a wonderful experience visiting the Victory Memorial Gardens. Quite informative walls and the nice fountains surrounded by the flowers and well detailed wood carving. Its nearby the historic museum, so there are quite a few things to see here. Its a nice place for a picnic and also makes a nice place to stop and relax before heading out again in your journey. Bodies of Water
Located near the Murrumbidgee River, the Marrambidya Wetland is a remarkable 20-hectare conservation area with diverse ponds, walking paths, and an elevated viewing platform. The name Marrambidya was chosen to honor its significance to the Wiradjuri people and acknowledge its connection to the traditional name of the river. Positioned between Gobbagumbalin and Wiradjuri Reserve, this tranquil oasis offers a unique opportunity for observation and reflection.
Beautiful spot, lots of birds, easy to walk around with information boards spread around the trail.
Flissy W — Google review
Nice, peaceful place. Magic to have the sunlight sparkling on beautiful horses. And lovely kakadus posing in the trees. Thanks to the Wiradjuri people for having us. Unfortunately, it was scorching hot and not much water in the little lakes. So we went to seek shelter among the trees.
Andreas L — Google review
Very peaceful, quiet area right by the river. A lot of cultural significance for the Wiradjuri people. Various informative signs, audio playbacks and beautiful paintings on display. There's a deck you can walk up to get a better aerial view of the ponds (be careful, we got attacked by a wasp nest there Mar 23). There's also a bird watching hut with detailed illustrations of all the different birds you might see in the area. Area looks well maintained, there was no litter around and the grass is slashed regularly in the areas of interest. We parked near the river boat ramp and walked about 400m to get to the wetlands, but there is a carpark right next to the wetlands if you don't want to do the walk. Toilets, drinking water, benches and even a bike repair station is available on site.
Alexander — Google review
The idea of the area is wonderful and quiet. Wagga Wagga City Council have however dropped the ball on yet another area involving water. The entire area smells extremely bad, the water is green and devout of any rubbish bins. It would also be nice to have an undercover seating area for having lunch or a coffee. The blinds have no seats and for whatever reason there is an assembly area/consortium area with poorly organized seats covered in bird feaces. Honestly no surprise when Wagga Wagga City Council is involved. Great principal, poor follow through.
Joshua R — Google review
Nice spot to walk along the river. A couple different path options but the one next to the river is tight as it is quite overgrown. There was a fallen tree along the path but I saw a bike rider still be able to ride underneath it. Lovely to see atleast 5 scarred trees that were somewhat fresh! An abundance of weeds and evidence of pests (either stray cats or foxes). But still a good sighting of birds: Superb Fairy-Wren, Little Friarbird, Sulphur-Crested Cockatoo, Blackbird, White-Plumed Honeyeater, Maned Wood Duck, Pacific Black Duck, Magpie, Magpie-Lark. Numerous artificial hollows/nesting boxes. Even a technique where they drill into an existing tree to create a low hollow which is the first time I've ever seen this used - super exciting! Also great to see a shoe cleaner at the start of the path to try and reduce the spread of weeds.

embrace nature, many native birds, well looked after wetland reserve. Such a peaceful place with rich stories.
Kess K — Google review
It is a 20 hectares recreational wetland area created in 2015 from disused sewerage treatment ponds. The site has heritage and historical significance from the Wiradjuri people. The premises has a walking track leading to Gobba beach and Wiradjuri reserve both sites consisting of aboriginal heritage importance. Along the way there are beautiful art works worth witnessing and a story telling both worth spending time on.

Lovely spot for a stroll on a nice day. Good interpretative signage and well maintained path. Not a lot of birdlife but it was mid morning.

The venue offers a diverse menu with modern Australian dishes that prioritize freshness and flavor, making it an ideal spot for a leisurely breakfast or lunch.
Came in for breakfast was not disappointed. Coffee was excellent smooth and not too bitter. Good pot of tea. Toast was wonderful soudough was dense and not over toasted. Avo on toast so fresh and tasty. Staff were friendly and service was super fast.

It was ok, the food was a good size / Portion but it didn’t have heaps of flavour. My partner had the corn fritters and I had the chicken toasted sandwich! Chips were nice but the sandwich was pretty dry and bland. It’s not the cheapest place either. Lots of dining tables and different rooms, but when quiet there isn’t much of an atmosphere because of it! Coffee was good! Wouldn’t rule coming back here, wasn’t the worst wasn’t the best!
Samantha G — Google review
I came here for breakfast and ordered the Big Breakfast, and it was absolutely delicious. The portion size was generous, and everything on the plate was cooked really well. The fried egg (sunny side up) was perfectly done — the yolk was runny without being undercooked, and the whites were just right. The hash brown was wonderfully crunchy on the outside while staying fluffy inside, which gave a great texture to the meal. The mushrooms were juicy, fresh, and full of flavour, adding a nice balance to the heartier items on the plate. The atmosphere of the restaurant really stood out as well. The place is decorated with beautiful paintings, antiques, and cool motorcycles, which gives it a unique and welcoming vibe. It’s the kind of setting that makes you want to sit back, enjoy your food, and take in the surroundings. The service was friendly and efficient, and the combination of great food and a vibrant atmosphere made for a really enjoyable breakfast. Overall, the food was excellent, the setting was memorable, and I’d definitely come back again.

A fabulous cafe on the main strip of Wagga Wagga, with a large interior. Love the decor, being a mix of quirky, industrial chic and country rustic. I like it, though some think it's too much. Most importantly the food is good. Portions are large too.

Sunday breakfast, greeted by staff, taken to our table, the fire was on, the vibe was very nice. Coffee arrived and it was perfect. Breakfast was very tasty. We will definitely be back. The business is in a lovely spacious building with some lovely features.
Vanessa M — Google review
We showed up and were seated relatively soon, when we sat down we were handed cutlery and given the option of ordering off a bar code or at the counter. The prices were pretty reasonable and the menu has some good varied options. We ordered and the drinks and food came within about 10 mintues. The servers were friendly and very helpful. The atmosphere is nice but could use some music or something. Overall would recommend, although I was a little annoyed that if you want alternative milk or gluten free bread you need to pay extra.
Sue D — Google review
Was recommended this place by a friend as we’re new to town. The waitress who sat us down was very rude, didn’t smile or look remotely interested in her job. The bartender was lovely and very helpful though. There was no music playing, made for a very weird atmosphere… A table of 8 who came in after we had ordered got their food before we did and when our food did come, the chicken in the wrap tasted like burnt oil, the chips were cold, not salted and the garlic bread was flat and burnt. Burger was good but also on the cooler side. Lots of potential but will not be returning
Sammy W — Google review
I got the big brekky, it was delicious. It is a couple more dollars more expensive than other places though. They have QR codes that let you order at the table which is great but I did notice it doesn't have some items (iced latte) and doesn't give you a great deal of customisation with you meals. Very nice venue and dining area. Friendly well mannered staff.

If you're wandering through Wagga Wagga and find yourself yearning for some delightful Thai cuisine, Thaigga is the place to be. This vibrant eatery boasts a fusion menu that features beloved classics like coconut prawns, massaman beef, and chilli basil stir-fry, all bursting with flavor.
Thigga is a fantastic place to be whether it’s for lunch or dinner, it’s a place to seriously consider. Serving sizes are always generous,. Service is always quality and while dining in it can be very noisy when it’s full , but very enjoyable when it’s not so full. Dishes are always quality and delicious. Dim sim , soft shell crab pad Thai , green curry with duck and chilli jam with cashews and chicken. Are a must have.

Its a daylight robbery. When I first ordered take away as lunch option it came in small container. Thought it was my fault. Ordered dinner option, same size. They charge $28 for 500ml container take away. It barely enough for a teen forget about an adult. See photos for calrity. Coming to food taste, it's below average. Not worth the hype. Definitely not worth the money.

Just YUM! They squeezed us in on a tight night with quick service and a smile! We wouldn't have stayed if we didn't get a table, but they said if you can order quick and be out in 45 mins, then they'd let us in. We thought we'd take the risk and try - and I'm so glad we did! The service was so fast and the food was delicious!! We live interstate, but I already told my friends in town how good it is, plus to another friend who's never even been to Wagga. Next time we get a chancetko visit - we will be back with a crowd (... and a booking!)

The Thaigga restaurant is Full by 630pm! Better make reservations before you go. The food is great - tasty and bursting with flavours especially the Mixed Vegetables and Pineapple Fried Rice. No wonder people flock here - it’s a beautiful joint and fast service. Just wish they give more Rice in the fried rice though I’m not complaining about the large prawns, chicken and large chunks of pineapples 😂

A nice large restaurant that was packed and for good reason. I ordered the crab pad Thai and it was delicious, so flavourful with a good amount of crispy crab. The portions are also quite large and this was very filling!

I just wanted to express my gratitude to the wonderful staff at Thaigga, especially the lovely lady named Florida. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with a friendly smile and genuine warmth. The team was incredibly helpful and attentive throughout our visit, making sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. What stood out the most was how patient and kind they were — even during busy times, they maintained such a professional and welcoming attitude. It truly made our dining experience special. Thank you to the staff for going above and beyond. We’ll definitely be back again!

Really popular place. Enjoyed the soft shell crab, spring roll, pineapple fried rice, drunken ducks, and taro dessert.

4 starts because the food tastes great but $24 for veggie (Vegan) pad Thai (takeaway) and the small serving was not worth it. The lady at the front counter was quite abrupt and dismissive. Plus they have a card surcharge so bring cash. Restraunt wasn't even full and a party of 4 turned away, told to come back in an hour for a table, staff did not even try to find a table, despite multiple ones available. Not very accommodating.

Modern Australian restaurant
Breakfast restaurant
The Roundabout Restaurant is a top dining spot in Wagga Wagga, offering modern Australian cuisine and an extensive selection of local wines. Located above the reception with views of Tarcutta Street, it provides a polished setting for a romantic evening or special occasion. The restaurant's à la carte menu showcases the region's finest produce, and its impeccable service makes it perfect for those seeking a fine dining experience.
Amazing dining experience!!! The 7 courses we had with the matching wines were excellent. The staff were super friendly and so helpful, we could not fault the service. The restaurant has a great glass fronted window overlooking the street. Highly recommended if visiting Wagga Wagga. I believe this restaurant has now changed it's name to The Charles.
Geoff C — Google review
The fanciest restaurant in Wagga Wagga floats over the driveway of a motel. The Roundabout Restaurant could well have been named for the street feature, less than fifty meters up the road. Suburban nature strips and lichen-speckled roof tiles are certainly an odd view for a well-appointed fine diner. We had a shaky start to our meal. Our reservation was incorrectly recorded on their booking system—despite both email & SMS confirmations being correct—and junior staff panicked for a manager rather than simply seating us in an empty table and working it out quietly behind the scenes. Luckily they have a good wine list, and we were soon soothed with a keenly priced 2017 Tolpuddle Chardonnay ($120) that was elegant to the final coveted dribble. The five-course tasting menu ($79/head) gets underway with bread and black garlic butter that we were cheekily advised not to devour before our dumplings. This is apparently because their sauce is too good not to dip in. While I disagree about the sauce—the tamari and chilli blend was unbalanced—it definitely was improved by the butter. And while the dumpling skins could do with more refinement, their packed prawn interiors were impressive. A beautiful piece of yellowfin tuna served two ways—seared with jalapeño mayonnaise and tartare with tequila & lime applied too sparingly to taste—was let down by under-seasoning & corn crackers so crisp they hurt my mouth. Boned and rolled leg of chook was perfectly executed, wrapped around confit garlic and thyme risotto with an accompanying pat of the silkiest Paris mash I’ve had all year. It stole the thunder from the Wagga farmgate beef fillet, which also came with Paris mash (I suspect the former dish was meant to have cafe de Paris butter on green spears of asparagus instead). Desserts—where guests can choose between macadamia sable with honey sorbet, lemon curd, yoghurt foam and fennel pollen or a freeze dried strawberry ice cream concoction—throw too much at it for my liking. I suspect a simple panna cotta with the beet & Bidgee Strawberries and Cream compote would have been enough, without the Junee Liquorice and Chocolate Factory liquorice meringue, caramelised white chocolate milk crumb and aforementioned strawberry ice cream. Good produce doesn’t need over-complication.

We had an amazing meal here. It was the set menu (as we visited on a Friday). Super friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable staff. Great "upper class" dining experience

One night in Wagga we were just down the road from The Roundabout. They were able to squeeze us in as it was a Wednesday and a couple of free tables. Great Service, Fantastic Food. We opted for the 3 course A La Carte and we're not disappointed. The Barramundi was superb. The Parisian Gnocci was my least favourite, well presented and still Quite tasty. Dessert was the Fig Leaf Panacotta 😀😍 Very satisfied meal.

Probably the Best restaurant in Wagga. Not trying to be over fancy but providing good food and service with a nice relaxing and casual ambiance. Authentic Indian restaurant in Wagga Wagga - the Naan are very good especially the grated coconut and potato ones. Go very well with the Lentils curry (Dhal) which the Mild spicy version being spicy enough. For protein, the Chicken Korma (sweet) is very tasty - rich, thick and flavourful curry. The Fried potatoes balls is a Must (Crunchy outside and soft inside). Service is very pleasant and the restaurant is big & comfortable.

We are lucky to have such authentic Indian in the heart of Wagga. I can never go pass the mix entree with accompaniments, Butter Chicken & Naan bread! The staff & service are always wonderful. If I could give this 10 stars 🌟 I would.

Our visit was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The service stood out immediately — attentive, friendly, and wonderfully accommodating to a larger table. The food was incredible — every dish was sensational, beautifully presented, and served in generous portions that delighted everyone at the table. The atmosphere tied it all together: warm, welcoming, and the perfect setting to share a meal and conversation as a group.

We drove all the way from Griffith to Wagga — a two-hour trip — just to have dinner at this restaurant because of the amazing experience my husband and I had here about a year ago. Back then, the food was absolutely delicious, and the flavours really stayed with us. That memorable meal was the reason we decided to return, this time with family. We ordered a platter, and it was clear that nothing on it was fresh. The fish and chicken had absolutely no flavour, and felt like they had been sitting for a while. The only thing with some taste was the lamb chops, which had a bit of flavour — but not enough to save the overall experience. Unfortunately, this visit was very disappointing. The food quality has noticeably declined — it lacked flavour, and none of the dishes stood out. The service was also quite slow, which added to our frustration. Everyone in our group felt that it wasn’t worth the long drive. It’s really disheartening to see such a drop in standards from a place we once loved.

Me and my friends love this place. We have been coming here most weekends since we’ve been in Wagga. Incredible food and people. A must try!

Terrible experience. The staff were unbelievably rude. As soon as we started ordering, the lady spoke to us with a horrible attitude, telling us how much we “had” to order. Completely unprofessional and disrespectful. Very negative vibes. Good we did not order and walk away. Worst service ever — never coming back. Zero star rating.

Giuseppe's Restaurant & Bar is renowned for its genuine cuisine and exceptional customer service. This eatery offers a diverse array of delectable dishes, ranging from Prawn and Avo Bruschetta to Arancini, ensuring that there is something for everyone's palate. If you're craving Italian food, Giuseppe's should be your go-to destination. Their menu boasts an assortment of traditional Italian fare crafted with top-notch ingredients.
We had such a lovely visit. The food was amazing, from starter to dessert. The drinks were also well made. The service was excellent (especially Sarah and Halley, who were our primary servers). The reserved seating was separated and you weren’t seated to close to anyone else. It was overall a very lovely experience.

We were 5 people. Very ordinary meals - 3 pizzas, 1 pasta, 1 salmon. The pizzas are just a bread dough, nothing special. Toppings are generous but overall oily and lacking flavour. The 'regular' size is small - and expensive (mine was $30). Pasta was mushy and without flavour. The salmon was good, but very expensive at $42 for 1 slim fillet. The place is more of a cheap cafe than a quality restaurant. Service was good.

Service was absolutely amazing, I asked for a Mount Everest of cheese on my pasta and they provided the cheese mountain! First time here will definitely be back/ recommend friends and family! Great vibes in this place! Thanks for serving great quality food and service

When we walked in we were greeted very quickly, upon sitting we got service within ten minutes. The menu has a variety of options but some are a little to similar. The starters are incredibly expensive and we're a little lacking. The main meals were decent prices although the drinks were also expensive. The mains tasted very nice but they only served 2 gf desserts and they looked to be store bought. Overall everything was good but could be great. Would go again. Second review - I went here to have dinner with a friend and the second time round the food was delicious, and the staff were friendly. The parking is great and the atmosphere is still lovely. My only two problems were the portion sizes were to much and getting a waiters attention was difficult. Third review- I came back for a final time to check out Giuseppe's and I can confidently say I won't be back. When we first arrived we were seated quickly and ordered quickly. We ordered arancini, flag of Italy with gnocchi and the seafood pasta. The starter came out quickly and was quite delicious. Unfortunately when the mains came out it was a different story. The gnocchi was chewy and almost like glue, it was very unpleasant with a total of 3 pieces of chicken and 5 or six pieces of sun dried tomato. When we wanted to get the bill we had to go to the counter and ask for it. Seriously wouldn't recommend.

Good service and food. Could be more Italian, the pizza box was in French

The staff are friendly and fast. The food was okay! I was expecting better tasting and better quality of food for the price point but was a bit disappointed with both. The tomato sauce for the aranchini and the pasta was not cooked properly, you could still taste that its canned tomatoes used for the dish and needed to be further cooked to get rid of the can tomato taste! The pizza was by far the beat tasting dish. Explore other options before deciding to go this place. The locals seem to like the food as it was busy, it might be due to lack of options on Sunday!

We went for a birthday dinner with our son and daughter in love. The service was excellent and the staff very efficient. Food was very yummy and we got to have our cake as well.
