Nestled in the vibrant Heart of Sharjah along the picturesque Al-Majarrah Waterfront, the Sharjah Museum of Islamic Civilization stands as a beacon of cultural heritage and enlightenment. This remarkable museum showcases seven expansive galleries that delve into the rich tapestry of Islamic civilization, highlighting significant contributions from Arab scientists and artists throughout history.
A Truly Enriching Family Experience at the Sharjah Museum of Islamic Civilization Our recent visit to the Sharjah Museum of Islamic Civilization was nothing short of amazing! I, along with my wife and our 10-year-old son, thoroughly enjoyed every moment. From the moment we entered, we were impressed by the stunning architecture and the welcoming atmosphere. The museum beautifully showcases the rich history, culture, and scientific contributions of the Islamic world. Each section was thoughtfully curated, with clear explanations and fascinating artifacts that brought history to life. Our son was especially intrigued by the interactive displays and the astronomical instruments, which sparked his curiosity and led to many interesting family discussions. The exhibits are not only educational but also engaging for all ages, making it a perfect destination for a family outing. We also appreciated how well-maintained and organized everything was, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout our visit. Overall, it was an enriching, educational, and memorable experience that deepened our appreciation for Islamic heritage and civilization. We highly recommend it to families, history enthusiasts, and anyone looking to explore the treasures of Islamic culture in a truly inspiring setting.

a cultural gem that offers a deep, insightful journey through the rich tapestry of Islamic heritage. Housed in a beautifully restored traditional souq building along the scenic Corniche Street, the museum itself is a stunning architectural blend of Islamic and contemporary design, with its golden dome and traditional arches making it a striking landmark. The museum is immaculately clean, well-organized, and air-conditioned—making it a comfortable escape, especially during Sharjah’s hotter months. The staff are courteous, knowledgeable, and always ready to answer questions. Entrance fees are very reasonable, and for the cultural value offered, it’s an excellent deal. It’s easy to spend 2–3 hours here if you want to explore each gallery in depth.

Every piece tells a story, and exploring them feels like stepping into a world of adventure. I spent over two hours wandering through treasures, even though I skipped so many fascinating things because my time was short. You don’t need to be Muslim to be captivated by this breathtaking masterpiece. The thrill is that some pieces invite you to touch, interact, and experience them yourself. You’ll leave with a heart full of wonder and a smile that lasts all day. And the best part? All of this for just 10 dirhams. I am not a photographer but I took some pictures to preserve the memory.
Shhab A — Google review
The museum provides an introduction to the history of the Islamic world, as well as basic knowledge of Islamic religion and science. The venue is fascinating, spacious, and beautiful. The scientific section of the exhibition features many interactive elements, which are especially interesting for children and for those interested in engineering. Visiting the entire exhibition takes approximately 2.5 hours. There are no queues, and tickets cost only 10 dirhams. A very nice place to visit.

I miss this place every now and then. Recently l visited with my Filipino friend who was never there. He was impressed with the variety of aquariums and type of fish. We saw cleaners of aquariums in action. Helpers are everywhere to promptly assist with information and leading you to walk roads. They were so kind and efficient. Must not ignore the smiling faces greeting us at the reception. On my way out, l went to them to say thank you and bye. THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO CONTRIBUTED TO MAINTAIN THIS INCREDIBLE PLACE. I

Well maintained aquarium with diverse species and ample time to view and enjoy the space, the same ticket can be used to view the maritime museum as well. You have children’s activity such as colouring and the same is displaced on their LCD which is an interactive thing to do. You get to touch the star fishes. Beautiful planned aquarium.

From Dubai we rode a taxi to Sharjah Aquarium. We arrived around 5:15. We toured around the area. There are alot of varieties of fish. My wife and son really enjoyed the aquarium. We finished around 5:50. I thought the ferry going to Al Ghubaiba would leave 6:15 as per google. It seems that the 6:15 is only Mon-Thurs. So the ferry left at exactly 6PM. The last ferry to Dubai is 9PM. We tried booking careem but most drivers doesn't want to go to Dubai. So we just had dinner and took the last ferry. Super affordable as well for 15AED. Boat ride is around 30-40mins.

Al Majaz Waterfront is one of my favourite places in Sharjah, when it comes to Al majaz area. The atmosphere is relaxing, very clean, and well organized, with great facilities for kids, families and couples. There are wide options for food, coffee, activities and views of the lagoon. Honestly, kudos to the UAE for creating this level of quality in a “normal” city area – the standard here is always top.

Very calm and dimly lit promenade, for casual strolls with friends and family. Didn't see the fountain shows and don't know why they were not operating that day. Amazing sunset views with a bridge leading to Al Noor island, which was cackling with cacophony of birds. It wasn't very crowded, and is recommended if you like sitting in grass for hours. There were lots of eateries nearby, and 2 beautiful mosques.

"Just minutes away from the roaring highways and glittering malls, an emerald haven waits. The air is cooler here, the grass softer underfoot. Birds replace car horns, and the only rush is the gentle flow of a hidden fountain. Sharjah's best-kept secret? A pocket of peace, defiantly green in a desert of steel."

Amazing collection of artworks from all Arab nations! Spans all styles from realism to pure abstraction. I especially enjoyed the works by Palestinian, Syrian and Sudanese artists, as well as a handful of masterfully executed works by late 19th-century European artists on oriental subjects. This museum celebrates Arabic artists and the incredible talent across the Arab world. The Barjeel section at the Sharjah Art Museum features a fascinating variety of paintings from different artists, each telling unique stories from important moments in history. The collection changes every six months, so there’s always something new to see. You can even request a curator to guide you if you want to dive deeper. The atmosphere is amazing, it’s located in a heritage-rich, old area of Sharjah, perfect for a stroll and exploration after your visit. Best of all, it’s completely free. Highly recommended! Note: I purposely made my videos and pictures with a wide, zoomed-out angle and dimmed exposure so I wouldn’t spoil the gallery for you. Just wanted to give you a glimpse of the vibe and atmosphere!

Went here for brunch. This is probably the outlet with the best view while you are dining. There is indoor and outdoor seating with umbrellas available. The food was amazing - we ordered the Brisket Eggs Benedict, Fish and Chips, American Breakfast, and the Banana Foster for dessert. Service was quick with servers being accommodating - asking us to reheat our coffee or bring additional ice cream when it melted on the banana foster. My only comment would be that they need to change their cutlery as the one they are using now is scratched up. Don't forget to use your Fazaa discount when you visit.

I do visit this place often - sometimes my experience is good, sometimes is not. It depends on how good we have been served. They serve really tasty desserts and burgers - these are you have to try for sure. About the interior - it is just perfect - one of my favorites so far. Unfortunately, the toilet is usually dirty - that is something you have to take care about. Overall, this place is nice. However, certain improvements have to be done.

Place is very nice, but service was very slow even though coffee shop was almost empty. With the restrictions in place drink was served in plastic cups. Very dirty outside seating area. Drinks were very tasty but I won’t go there again.
Hania D — Google review
We enjoyed the food. It was really tasty. However, prices are considerably high against the low quality service (though staff were professional, but the number of staff was very limited). Glass all over the place was dirty (see photos), ceiling has fungus in various places (I don't know how the Municipality did not close that place till date), cleaning tools kept in FOH area. Pros: - Nice decoration and seating area. - Friendly staff. - High quality food. - Wide variety of food. - They have 50% discount on certain items for Shakespeare loyal Customers. Cons: - Fungus are around the A/C outlets (see photos). This is a serious hygiene issue in a restaurant. - Although staff are professional, but their number is very limited and service was quite slow. - Toilets were not clean. - Glass windows were very dirty (see photos). - The menu is designed in a way that makes it a difficult task to link the photo with the dish description.

Celebrated pre valentines day last month with friends and totally enjoyed our time. Food were very well presented and tasted great. Ambiance inside the restaurant was also good (though a little dark as per one of my friend). Also, the staffs were very friendly and accommodating.

Staff are very friendly. Service is great. BUT, food is less than alright, AND it is EXPENSIVE. I wasn’t happy with the fries that my friend and I ordered. I have asked the waiter if they were snap frozen and he said yes, which made the fries very soggy and moist to eat, however the spices and sauces were great. We also ordered Dynamite Chicken sliders, the chicken patty is so thin, you can barely taste any chicken in it, very poor quality. Presentations are great, but taste is missing. I have complained face to face to many of the staff in a very nice way without being mean because I am not like that, hoping for some action to be taken or at least for an apology for the horrendous food quality, but did not get any. Not worth the money you spend on food. But drinks are great :) I don’t recommend you wasting money on their food.

Very good quality and service. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere to it. Prices were on the expensive side though. The variety of options is good, however, I feel that there is room for more. Generally, good experience, had a good time there.
Ahmad A — Google review
Impressed by the place as a whole. I'm a fan of the interior. I tried 2 burgers and they were enough to make me curious to try their other dishes as well. The black gold burger would be perfect in my books if it weren't for the small size. I understand its wagyu beef, but I would've made it bigger than the other burgers to persuade customers to go for the more expensive option. It was really good. I haven't described a food as "powerful" before but this one was. I tried another burger because I didn't feel full and didn't want to pay 38 dhs for fries, so I paid 47 for their tornado burger, which was also great but naturally not as delicious as the black gold. I wanted to give the restaurant 4 stars because I wanted them to consider either lowering the price of the black gold burger or making it larger, but I liked the fact the restaurant gave options at different prices (there's a 3rd burger priced at around 37 dhs). I do hope they consider modifying this burger though, without changing the taste or ingredients. I'll probably try steak another time or perhaps some other best-selling dish here. Staff are nice, too. Wagyu eggs Benedict was alright 🤷‍♂️ not too good, not too bad... Didn't really taste the beef that well, and it was relatively small in size. Tried their fried chicken burger. It was surprisingly good, thought I'd like it a bit less oily. Tried their ribeye steak, didn't like it that much. It's acceptable but definitely not worth 135 dhs. Didn't like the chimichurri sauce it came with either. If you decide to get a ribeye steak, make sure to ask for it without this sauce. Instagram: @HouseoFlavour (House o' Flavour)

Fen Café & Restaurant - Al Mureijah is a popular spot with a serene setting near the Sharjah Art Foundation, attracting both art enthusiasts and food lovers. The menu offers a variety of dishes, from chia pots and kale salads to ube lattes, giving it a trendy vibe. The entrees are particularly noteworthy, featuring locally sourced seafood and parmesan-truffle fries.
We had such a great time at FEN Café! The atmosphere is really cozy and welcoming, and the staff is super friendly and attentive. Everything we tried was absolutely delicious. Right now, they have a special mango-themed menu, and it’s fantastic! The mango cheesecake, turmeric & ginger tea, and mango milkshake were all amazing — so fresh and full of flavor. The prices are very reasonable, and the location is great too. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a nice spot to relax and enjoy great food and drinks. We’ll definitely be coming back!

Double feelings about this cafe. Nice territory, beautiful cats, good staff, good service. But terrible food and drinks. Both cakes were old and not tasty. Matcha latte tastes like grass juice. Spanish latte just fully sugar. To come here need go far away, cross security post. Honestly don’t worst time and money.

A great restaurant tucked away in the Al Mureijah area of downtown Sharjah, close to art galleries and the souq. The menu is well-varied, offering options from many different cuisines at a relatively affordable price for the quality and quantity. We started with the Nicoise Salad (37 AED) and Vietnamese Spring Rolls (35 AED), both of which tasted fresh and delicious. The Fish & Chips (55 AED) had a crispy yet not oily battered fish with seasoned fries and a delicious tartar sauce. The Sri Lankan Fried Aubergine Curry (35 AED) and the Chicken Katsu Curry (48 AED) were my favorite dishes- both very delicious and super flavorful. Overall, a wonderful experience and will definitely be my go-to when in the area.

Friendly service and food was actually really tasty and fresh. We didn’t expect much, just needed to get out of the heat but were very happy we stopped here.

food was really good. There were just 2 people in the kitchen and the waiter was very kind and patient. for drinks i suggest the passion mojito and for the food the pastriami sandwich and shakshuka.

Momo House is a cozy and vibrant restaurant that specializes in momos, a type of dumpling popular in Nepal, Tibet, and parts of India. In addition to serving noodles and rice dishes, the restaurant offers a variety of traditional momos with fiery dipping sauces. It's known for its delicious Indo-Chinese, Indian, and Nepalese cuisine at affordable prices. The menu features an array of flavorful momos such as buff momo and Nepali fried momo.
One of the best nepali restaurants in the UAE absolutely amazing in customer service and Quality. Friendly staff only issue is parking nearby. Highly recommend it to anyone. Personally I love the buffalo chilli momos

The staff here are absolutely amazing, and the place has such a cozy vibe! I’m a huge fan of Momo House – every recipe is delicious, and the team is always so kind and welcoming. I love both the veg and chicken momos, whether steamed or fried – all are super tasty, especially with the spicy sauce (my husband’s favorite!). The wontons and spring rolls are also fantastic. Highly recommend!

🌟 Amazing Experience at Momo House, Buteena! 🌟 If you’re a fan of flavorful, comforting, and perfectly spiced food, Momo House in Buteena is a must-visit! From the moment you step in, you’re welcomed with a steaming hot complimentary soup, setting the tone for an incredible dining experience. Their fried rice is simply outstanding—packed with flavor, perfectly cooked, and pairs wonderfully with their chicken Manchurian, which is saucy, spicy, and absolutely delicious. But the real stars? The momos! Whether you go for the classic steamed version or the fiery chilli momos, each bite is bursting with authentic taste. And don’t even get me started on their red chutney—it’s next-level delicious, adding just the right kick to every bite. Momo House truly knows how to serve up amazing food with great hospitality. If you’re in Buteena and craving some seriously good Asian flavors, this is the place to be.

I recently visited Momo House Restaurant and had a great overall experience. As a nice touch, they served complimentary soup as a starter, which was warm and flavorful—a comforting way to begin the meal. The restaurant is clean and decently maintained, with a spacious seating area, including an upstairs section that adds more room and comfort. I ordered fried momo, chili momo, and chicken chowmein. The momos were excellent—crispy, well-seasoned, and served with delicious sauces. The chicken chowmein was okay, but I’d recommend they consider using a different type of noodle to improve the texture and flavor. The menu could use an upgrade, especially with combo offers like a platter featuring different types of momos. The selection of cool drinks and juices was limited, so expanding that would definitely enhance the dining experience. One thing to note is the location—it’s a bit hidden away, and parking can be difficult to find. Overall, Momo House is a good and clean restaurant with tasty momo options and a welcoming atmosphere. With a few improvements to the menu and accessibility, it has strong potential to become a local favorite.

A Delightful Dining Experience at Momo House We had an amazing experience in this restaurant! The food was absolutely delicious—easily the best we've ever had. Each dish was full of flavor and prepared with great care. The prices were very reasonable, which made the experience even better. It's an ideal place for family gatherings, offering a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The customer service was excellent, and the staff were friendly, attentive, and professional. The only challenge we faced was finding the exact location. The roads nearby were covered with sand, which made parking and reversing a bit difficult. We recommend placing a signboard at the beginning of the junction to help first-time visitors locate the restaurant more easily. Overall, everything else was truly excellent. Highly recommended!
