A restaurant with a traditional setting and some traditional food, yes please! We had a lovely meal at Naranj, tasting a few of the local dishes which we enjoyed. The food was presented nicely and there was a variety to choose from! Our only issue was that most dishes were a little under seasoned, which you don’t expect from a restaurant this nice. Nevertheless, everyone enjoyed their meal and the complementary dessert too (wish it came with tea). It was definitely one of the nicer restaurants we ate at in Damascus!

Everything is amazing in this restaurant, the food is like heaven. We asked to meet the chef to thank him. Also the service is very fast and professional. The place overall is very nice.

Naranj keeps being the best place in Damascus for authentic Syrian cuisine. Professionalism of staff and the specialities they offer make this place unique. Despite the crisis, they maintained high level of hospitality with affordable prices. I recommend the Mawzat with Frikeh and sejaat dishes :)

For the price, I didn’t like the ambiance, food nor service too much. Especially annoying is the fact that every time you try to go to the toilet one of the cleaning ladies literally runs after you through the door to be waiting for you next to the sinks (and next to your toilet door). I definitely didn’t like having people waiting right in front of my door for me to relieve myself. I honestly had better food for much less at the food stalls at the market nearby.

The place to be in if you are looking in the quest of authentic damascene cuisine. The cherry on top was the syrian sweets that were on the house. I would recommend without hesitation.

Extremely EXPENSIVE, not worth it at all, you can eat in a much better restaurant around that area . Better to avoid it . I went there without a reservation, so I had a difficult time to get a table. The food is below average, but for a country just came out from a war , it is good .

Naranj is among the best restaurants in Damscus for traditional Syrian food, in addition to particular location in the heart of of old city, with splendid view to the Orthodox Patriarcha of Antioch and the Mashreq. Staff is welcoming and very professional. Food is excellent. Try Borgol and Hommos and select Cherry Kabab at the end, you will never regret.

Amazing restaurant.. It's located in the bab tuma in old Damascus, Syria .. It's historical place and at the same time it's modern as set, services, food and everything else.. It's hard to get inside to this neighborhood by your car.. It's better to find parking outside.. And about three minutes walk.. If want to come to Damascus, you should visit bab tuma.. And you will never forget this place..

When you are in Damascus, and however, if you love historical places or not, you have to visit Haretna restaurant. It's a combination between historical places and the modern lifestyle. The restaurant is actually built within an ancient Damascene house, which consists of a big yard in the center of the house with many rooms surrounded, and don't forget that the yard has a heavenly expanse. Foods are so delicious with many different options, either Eastern dishes like (Kibbeh, Shawerma, dishes made with yougart.....) and Western dishes (Escalope, cordon bleu, steaks.....) There are also incredible appetizers such as (Fatoush, Tabouleh,.....) Alcool is also provided in the restaurant. Shisha or Hooka is adorable there, and even if you are not a smoker, you would love the smell of their Shisha The service is very quick and men there are so welcoming with their unstoppable smile, Atmosphere is awsome especially after sunset During public holidays, Haretna restaurant organizes parties and family nights. They often start after 9 P.M. in that cases, you will have to buy tickets in advance or get a pre reservation. In brief, if you didn't try having dinner or lunch in this lovely place before, i would totally advise you to do so, and I'm sure that it will be an unforgettable night ever. During the past 20 years, they assure that they deserve the number one every in the Damascene restaurants that have a family environment and delicious dishes with lovely historical and ancient atmosphere. It is an amazing damask place with a fabulous fountain. The sound of the splash while you are sitting is really unique. The food is various and good.

A good mix of western, eastern, and Japanese food. The Cheese bowl they have is my favorite dish right there, it is really good and tasty😋. The atmosphere is calm and classy that gives a very nice vibe and the service were really Amazing. It has a very nice view as well. For me, i still have so many dishes that i want to try there since they have a very various menu.

Wonderful sushis.. I bet you will disappointed. Can connect to the Chef who is a wonderful person with immense experience in Japanese cuisine, for anything specific requirements.

They offer one of the widest variety of burgers in Damascus, and their appetizers are exceptional. Their meal are good, however, the steak filet used to be much better, still acceptable though. The staff are very professional, well trained, helpful and friendly. The premise is well maintained, clean and spacious. The only downside is at afternoon hours,the place get filled with kids and teenagers, rendering the place rowdy as hell!

The location is quite ok, specially if you are outside on the terrace. Food is average, mainly fast food such as burgers, mozzarella stick, chicken tenders, onion rings, ...etc. quite fat food. Avoid if you are on a diet. All far from Syrian traditional delights.

Very delicious burgers ... wholesome and traditional burgers.... the juicy lucy was especially WOW. Service is good but a little bit slow due to overcrowding and this is not fast food, so it takes time to prepare your order. The sheesha is not up to the mark and that is why they lack one star.

The food is very affordable for the portions and taste of it. Everything is nice nothing to complain about.
