Situated on Bai Dau beach, the restaurant provides a stunning ocean view, making it an ideal choice for groups seeking a satisfying meal at reasonable prices. Ganh Hao Seafood restaurant is one of the most popular places and local seafood restaurants in Vùng Tàu at the westside beach (Ba Day). They serve the best Mantis shrimp/prawns and Alaskan King Crabs. You have to come by and check out yourself. The seafood is fresh and live caught from the the container. You pick they cook. See pictures. Also crowds with local seafood lovers and visitor. It has oceanview in day time. Highly recommend for visitors. 🦞🐙🐠🦀

Decent fresh seafood at reasonable price. The abalone soup, soft self crabs was super delicious. However the snails was not really good that night. The restaurant is pretty spacious with nice view. Do recommend and will come back :)

The restaurant is huge and has a great open atmosphere. It's located right on the beach, so you can eat and look at the sea. There are plenty of staff members, and the food service is quick. The food is just average, nothing special.
Mi S — Google review
One of the best meals we had in Vũng Tàu. The seafood is very fresh and tasted delicious. The prices are very affordable for almost everything. The lobster was somewhat close to the price you'd pay in Europe or the states, and the king crab was a bit more expensive but very much worth it. We asked them if they could melt some butter for us to dip the crab and lobster and they kindly did so despite this not being an option on the menu or probably a normal thing in Vietnam. We didn't care so much for the flavor of the sour bamboo but everything else we tried we loved. The vibe of sitting right along the water was really nice, especially during sunset. The staff didn't speak much English so be ready to practice some Vietnamese or use something like google translate.

This restaurant is recommended by our company staff. The lobster is very delicious. It’s a popular place, so please make a reservation in advance if possible.

Had lunch at Ganh Hao Seafood restaurant today and overall, it was just OK. The food was decent, with fresh seafood and typical flavors, but nothing that really stood out. The location is a bit of a downside 🥹 it quite far from town, so if you are planning to go during lunch hour, factor in extra travel time. Given the average food and the distance, we felt it wasn't quite worth the trip. Ambience was simple but clean, and service was friendly. Prices were reasonable for seafood.

Exceptional service paired with incredibly fresh, delicious seafood. The stunning sea view and the restaurant's unique, naturalistic ambiance create a truly special and memorable setting. Also, a really good option if you need to accomodate a big group.
Muska A — Google review
I think this place is trading on its tarnished reputation and has outgrown (it seems to have a lot of buildings its stretching across. They are making some strange choices, mixing in quality garlic and then filling it with how grade tasteless chinese garlic chunks. Vegetables were good, the king prawns were fresh, but the tasteless garlic layer really wad disappointing. Fish was so so. Bizarrely, the sotang they served had sat around a while (it was served almost immediately) and was rubbery and room temperature. Also curious, no bbq option for the prawns. We were also very concerned at their fresh fish floating upside down in the tank. They were alive (we checked), but looked like they were in distress.

Nestled right by the water's edge, Lam Duong Restaurant offers a serene and inviting atmosphere that enhances your dining experience. This spacious establishment spans 5,000 m² and can accommodate around 3,000 guests, making it an ideal spot for gatherings with family and friends. Visitors to this Vung Tau gem are treated to a delightful array of seafood dishes, including steamed tiger prawns, cheese-baked clams, fried squid, and succulent steamed crabs—all beautifully presented.
Delicious seafood, hotpot. Vietnamese cuisine resto.

Very fresh seafood and good service at a reasonable price. Staff are very nice and friendly. However it's abit far from center. The sauce should be improved to create a special compared with other restaurant as they just give simple fish sauce, lemeon&salt pepper, so the total food taste is not completely good. We have ordered grilled geoduck, steam sprawn with coconut water, chesse oyster , Sturgeon 2.2kg made two dishes: grill and hotpot and Wine. Average cost about 560k/person.

Really fresh. Nice view. Perfect for couples and family

As the only guest in the restaurant we got good and quick service. Had 5 different sea food meals and they all tasted very well and came in ok portions. They did not have cold beer but eventually gave us a bucket of ice to cool them down. We saw two rats running around under the tables. They were big and nice. All in all I recomend the food and nice scenery, and as long as you can live with the occasional rat and warm beer it will be a place and meal to remember

We had a wonderful lunch here a set menu for 88 k each, good value. The set included a tasty miso soup , generous salad with very finely shredded cabbage & other vegetables with a nice dressing, mushroom egg custard, crumbed pork cutlet , rice , ginger and wasabi as a side dish. To finish we were given complimentary fruit. The service staff were great everything was served beautifully. The manager took the time to speak to us which was lovely. The parking assistant outside , so very pleasant & made you feel welcome. A very clean comfortable environment. The food was delicious.

Good food. Space is a little limited but comfortable

The food was okay but, food overpriced, not too fresh sashimi and they didn't have tuna sashimi for our set so we asked for salmon but, they gave us imitation crab instead. Prefer sushi tokyo more. Didn't take pictures of all the fold we ordered. The bill totaled to about 1.3-1.4 million and we even asked to take 1 coca cola and wet napkin back but, they didn't deduct it from our bill so we just took them with us.

Don't ever use this place. Young Vietnamese children are putting food in their bare hands without sanitary gloves.

The restaurant has delicious food, plays chil music, enthusiastic staff, floating sticky rice. I really like SSM A and the raw oyster dish is addicting. There are many delicious dishes. This is a good choice for family and friends.

Bánh Khọt Gốc Vú Sữa is a renowned Vietnamese dish, known for its small, crispy pancakes made with rice flour, coconut milk, and turmeric. These savory pancakes are topped with either shrimp or pork belly and served with lettuce and herbs. It's recommended to enjoy the cakes with raw vegetables, adding some sour elements and dipping them in fish sauce. The restaurant offering this delicacy is highly regarded for its authentic local cuisine and excellent customer service.
probably the best banh khot i have ever had! that being said this is my first time having this in Vung Tau! (iv had this in saigon) and its legit good here. super crispy small bite sizes! i found the prawn tasted better but that might just be my personal preference if ur coming to visit Vung Tau and don't know what to eat then you NEED to eat the local specialty, Banh Khot! and this is definitely the best way to be introduced to it!
Toki N — Google review
This place was packed on the third day of Tết, and the wait for food was incredibly long. Unfortunately, I don’t think it was worth the wait. The rice pancakes (bánh khọt) here were underwhelming. The shrimp weren’t particularly fresh and had a mushy texture. The pancakes themselves lacked any distinctive flavor—its only redeeming quality was the crispiness. On the bright side, the fish sauce was well-balanced, but overall, I found the dish disappointing and definitely not worth the long wait. The staff were efficient and managed the crowd fairly—serving customers in order of arrival rather than prioritizing those who complained the most. Because the restaurant was so packed, the space felt quite messy. Luckily, my family got seated upstairs, where the service was quicker. But downstairs? It seemed like no one was actually getting their food—just waiting endlessly before giving up and leaving. Not exactly an enjoyable experience. If you come with car, they have car paảking but not much slot.
Cree T — Google review
One of the most classic looking banh khot spot I came across. The quality is rather average and you can’t choose a mix of squid of shrimp, so you have to choose either one or order 2 dishes.
Ak — Google review
Do yourself a favor and don't come here. Despite being very busy, the shrimps aren't fresh, they taste funny. The cake part is oily and too dry, not how Banh Khot is supposed to be. The fish sauce is unflavorful. The only reason I was there is because I was mistaken with the name of the vendor my mom told me. If you want good Banh Khot, search "Banh Khot Cay Da, Ly Thuong Kiet street" (mom's favorite and she took me there some 30 years ago)

Bánh Khọt Gốc Vú Sữa is a legendary eatery in Vũng Tàu, renowned for serving some of the best bánh khọt in Vietnam. This humble restaurant consistently draws both locals and tourists with its authentic flavors and unbeatable charm. Atmosphere: The venue itself is simple and unpretentious, with communal tables and a casual vibe. It may not offer a luxurious dining experience, but its cozy, bustling atmosphere makes you feel like you’re part of the local culture. During peak hours, expect to wait in line – a testament to its popularity. The Food: The star of the show, bánh khọt, is a Vietnamese savory pancake made from rice flour and coconut milk, topped with shrimp and served with fresh herbs, pickled vegetables, and a sweet-and-savory fish sauce for dipping. At Gốc Vú Sữa, the bánh khọt is cooked to perfection—crispy on the outside while remaining soft and slightly chewy inside. The topping of fresh, plump shrimp is generous, and the addition of a sprinkle of crushed shrimp powder elevates the flavor. The accompanying fresh lettuce and mustard greens are crisp, while the dipping sauce is well-balanced, enhancing each bite. Be sure to pair your bánh khọt with a cold drink or iced tea to round out the experience. Service: The service is efficient but may feel brisk due to the high demand. The staff focuses on getting orders out quickly, so don’t expect extensive chit-chat. Despite the fast pace, they’re attentive and keep the tables clean. Price: Gốc Vú Sữa offers excellent value for money. A serving of bánh khọt is reasonably priced and satisfying, making it accessible for most budgets. Tips: • Arrive early to avoid long waits, especially on weekends. • Order an extra portion—you’ll likely crave more! • Practice wrapping the bánh khọt in the greens for the full experience. Conclusion: Bánh Khọt Gốc Vú Sữa is a must-visit spot in Vũng Tàu for anyone looking to experience authentic Vietnamese street food. Its iconic bánh khọt, fresh ingredients, and local charm make it a memorable dining experience. Whether you’re a first-timer or a returning fan, this place delivers consistent quality and a taste of Vũng Tàu’s culinary heritage.

This establishment is a top tier choice. You will just keep on eating. One of the best food I had ever tried. Make sure to mix in ample chili and shredded papaya into the fish sauce. The chili and fish oil combo takes the dishes to another level. Try both the shrimp and squid. Would definitely recommend.

This review is in memory of my Father Qui Dang. This was his favorite place to eat when he visited the area. He also took my mom here to dine with him and they both loved it. Today March 22, 2024, my mom wanted to visit this place again before we head back to the US. It gave her tears and good memories of the time spent with my Father. This is my first time here and I do enjoy the food and customer service. The sugar cane drink here is amazing too. Stop by this restaurant if you are in the area.

Banh Khot, a local culinary delight from Vung Tau, offers a unique and flavorful experience for food enthusiasts. These small, crispy pancakes are a testament to the rich tapestry of Vietnamese cuisine. Each bite of Banh Khot reveals a satisfying crunch, complemented by the subtle sweetness of coconut milk and the savory punch of shrimp nestled within. The dish is traditionally served with a bounty of fresh vegetables, adding a refreshing contrast to the richness of the pancakes. The ritual of wrapping the Banh Khot in leafy greens and herbs not only enhances the taste but also turns eating into an interactive joy. However, it's worth noting that the oiliness of the pancakes, while contributing to their delectable texture, may be a tad excessive for those with a lighter palate. Additionally, the accompanying vegetables, crucial for balancing the dish's flavors and textures, should be consumed with caution if one suspects they haven't been thoroughly washed. In essence, Banh Khot is a dish that embodies the vibrancy of Vung Tau's street food scene—tasty and inviting, yet it reminds us to be mindful of the preparation and cleanliness that goes into our food. Should-try for anyone looking to explore the local flavors, provided they're attentive to the freshness of the ingredients.

Very fresh Sea Food! This restaurant serve one of the best seafood in Vietnam because the fresh quality here. They have their own fishing team to supply for the restaurant so they can have all the fresh seafood. It was super busy during the weekend and dinner time, you should reserve the table in advance to get a seat. The place set up is very simple just by the beach so it s very comfortable with good wind. For some special fresh food, you have to go choose by yourself. The price is reasonable for the quality!

There are 3 branches attached house. A lot of car and bus stopped by here to enjoy seafood. All is fresh, you can choose seafood and request them to cook as your requests 😋. The price is include cooking and service fee. 😉 we choose Thanh Phat II, it has a view to the sea. If you drive car here, ask the guard where to park. In high season, it's really crowed.

Well. Price is so high and the restaurant even changed the seafood we picked. Just try and you will see.

Price is cheap and the seafood here really fresh. I ordered oyster 75k vnd/ kg = $3usd/kg , blue swimmer crab 450k vnd/kg = $20usd/kg , periwinkle 650k vnd/kg = $25usd/kg. We have 4 adults and 1 kids cost 1.5mil vnd or $55usd for fresh seafood with drink in total bill.

Possibly the worst restaurant for seafood in Vungtau. Hastily done food and with frozen shrimp and half cook noodles. More interested in making a sale rather than quality of food. We wew a party of 5 and not knowing the size of serving, we had ordered several dishes and in less than 5 minutes, we decided to cancel an order, but was informed than all had been cooked, which is impossible as some order arrived only after 30 minutes. Guess it is just a place that is concerned to make a quick sale from unsuspecting visitor rather than the quality of food. If you are a forienger and not familiar with the stinky smell of rotten fish or smell of fermented sauces, my advice is for you to avoid the restaurant. Myself will never dine there even if it is free.

Delicious food! Try the typical Cá Mú. You can choose the fish you prefer and they will cook it for you. We paid 600K for this fish but it’s totally a local experience so it’s worth it.
