Restaurant
Marco Polo Restaurant is a popular dining spot located within the Marco Polo Mansion hotel, housed in a historic Venetian-era building. Since its opening in 2008, it has been consistently fully booked due to its efficient kitchen and service, as well as the warm hospitality of the owner. The menu features dishes such as seafood salad, oven-baked sea bream with traditional Greek fisherman's soup sauce, and grilled tagliata.
Poked away in an unassuming side street, this place is well worth the find. Right from walking in, the staff matched our energy and gave us a smile and a laugh - then absolutely delivered with accommodating us despite it being a busy night. Service was fast, personable, professional - but fun. And then the food: thoroughly delicious. It was so good my pal has gone and attempted to reproduce it himself. I'm sure whatever you pick, you will be absolutely delighted. Shout out to the manager/supervisor and everyone else that made the night memorable for us. Sorry we didn't end up making it to the boat party....! 😅

Good service and a pleasant atmosphere, typical of the Old Town of Rhodes. You need to have a reservation in advance. The presentation of the food is very good but the portions are small and the prices are high. The beef we ordered medium came overcooked and dry, but on the other hand, the fish was pleasantly juicy with a crispy coating.

The food here was very very good. The atmosphere is great. But the staff left a lot to be desired. We were not able to make a reservation less than 24 hours before because it was booked but we made on for the end of our trip. At first everything was nice, but by dessert it was clear we were not a priority for the staff and they had changed servers once or twice on us. We were offered a dessert special but it wasn't available. When we changed our dessert we ordered wine with it and nothing ever came and no one checked on us, while all the other tables have regular service and waiters who are talking to and engaging with them. After 20 minutes we got up and paid, still our server never checked on us. We were having a wonderful evening and it crashed really hard at the end.

The food was excellent, combining authentic Greek flavours with refined gourmet touches in a way that felt both unique and memorable. Portions were generous, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The setting is truly beautiful, with a cosy and peaceful garden atmosphere that provides the perfect backdrop for a special meal. Overall, this restaurant delivers a wonderful combination of high-quality cuisine, great range of Wines with great sommelier recommendations, generous servings, and a great location. A fantastic choice for anyone looking to enjoy both exceptional food and a stunning atmosphere.

Such a great atmosphere and lovely environment. You can just fill with joy only looking around and feeling relaxed. Lamb was extremely delicious, and fish starter with celery puree and lemon on the top was just amazingly fresh! They also suggest amazing wine that it concluded everything perfectly Highly recommended

So this was a tricky one for us. Recommended to us and a pretty expensive place to eat, I would start off by saying that the ambiance of the place is unique, stylish and quaint all at the same time. The staff were friendly and attentive but the menu was a little confusing and the food was only to the liking of 50% of our reservation. All in all the food was beautifully prepared and for the most part extremely tasty. Would have liked more of a choice on the vegetarian menu as if mushrooms weren’t your thing you would have been left with no choice.

We booked this restaurant a couple of weeks in advance as we knew it would be busy. We were looking forward to this meal as heard great reviews. Can honestly say that this place out done itself. I had the spinach salad to start and the sea bass for main and my fiance had the octopus to start and the lamb chops for main. Unbelievable food and unbelievable service. A lovely little restaurant with fantastic service. The wait staff made you feel as if you were the only ones in the restaurant and were very friendly and attentive. If I could give 10 stars out of 10 I would. Highly reccomend for anyone visiting Rhodes Old Town but be sure to book in advance!!

Fantastic restaurant and overall experience. Service and host by the owner was in keeping with the family feel and it followed through with quality ingredients / presentation and general atmosphere. Even though it has had social media following it still feels like a “find” walking amongst the traditional old town streets to get to it. Thankfully we got a cancellation booking but otherwise people were being turned away so best to book. 5*

Restaurant
Mavrikos is a renowned restaurant located in the charming village of Lindos, about 55 km from the center of Rhodes. Established in 1933 and currently managed by brothers Dimitris and Michalis Mavrikos, it has become a culinary institution known for its traditional Greek cuisine. The menu features dishes that highlight the freshest local produce, with an emphasis on sustainability and seasonality.
Probably the best meal i had in Greece! The fennel was special and tasted wonderful. People were super nice and friendly. Would defin come back just for this restaurant!
Chinnie W — Google review
Food was excellent. The calamari with beetroot, ravioli with seafood and pork with rosemary and mustard were delicious. As was the tomato salad with sea fennel. Service was great too from our main waiter albeit that it could have been more welcoming on a night with fairly few people. Atmosphere would be wonderful if busier and proprietor was more welcoming. Wine list rather expensive.
Andrew P — Google review
A great find hidden in plain sight! A friend who’s from Lindos told us to visit for some of the most authentic Greek food in town-otherwise we’d do the same and walk straight past it as you come in and out of the main square. Highlights were taramasalata, spicy meatballs, calamari with saffron and the spinach risotto, which I’ll be thinking about for a while.
Meg P — Google review
Most probably the last real Greek or Rhodian restaurant left in Lindos. The furniture needs a refresh, but the food is rustic and exquisite, and the service staff is friendly and welcoming, and they are from Lindos!
PAOLO A — Google review
If I could give more stars, I would. This was one of the best meals of my life, despite being with my kids. We were lucky to have the restaurant at lunchtime to ourselves. The owner gave us freedom to chose a table in the beautifully decorated dining area, and was friendly and incredibly kind, also with the little ones. Food was pure heaven, we tried their pita, three starters, one main, and a dessert. Everything was perfection and brought a piece of the history of this family-run establishment. The total bill was right under 100€, which might be a lot in absolute terms. However, not only it is aligned to the local environment, but it was more than worth it give what we enjoyed. Cannot wait to go back!

The worst place you could think of visiting. To be honest, I had this place saved on my list of recommended spots from TikTok, as someone mentioned it was in the Michelin guide. Since I was in Lindos, I thought it would be a good option for lunch. I was so disappointed I should’ve gone anywhere else. They even tried to add dishes to my bill that I never ate. When they bring you the check, you have to go to the counter to pay, and there they present you with a bill that includes dishes you sent back because they tasted horrible. When you question them about it, they pretend it was a mistake and say they’ll give you the money back in cash. Very shady and unprofessional, it’s the first time I’ve ever experienced something like this. Truly the worst experience and the worst place. The orzo pasta idk the Greek names tastes so bad they added a lot of cinnamon!! Have you tried a main course aka pasta with cinnamon ? Well here you will. Also tzatziki is the worst I’ve had in the entire life regardless of country Greece or not. It tastes like spoiled expired brewed vinegar idk what they add here. We sent it back to kitchen. Also staff are very questionable….. do yourself a favor, if you are on vacation go elsewhere lol

what a wonderful place and we were served by a man who looked (in a cool way) Billy Bob Thornton 👍 I had the Beef Souvlaki and you won't find it better at Rhodos. We drove by car and the destination was a nightmare to reach, but the food will make you forget that in a second 🌞
Jens L — Google review
We had a lovely dinner here. It’s the oldest restaurant in Lindos and it has charm and authenticity. The seafood moussaka was the stand-out dish. We were so hot here that we didn’t linger as long as we would have liked. Service was genuine and attentive.

Restaurant
To access this shoreline, a small vessel was taken from the harbor at a cost of 5 euros for a round trip. This charming location, known as Halcki Island, boasts a breathtaking sea and offers the option to rent a beach umbrella for 3 euros per person or opt for a larger one with a spacious bed at 15 euros. Amenities include an umbrella service bar and an inviting restaurant.
A little gem on Halki. The food was lovely and the portion was generous. The grilled calamari was fab - very nicely cooked! The general atmosphere was chilled, with some music (but not too loud).

Amazing place, so beautiful and almost alone in May. The food and drinks were great and amongst the cheapest we found in Rhodes. We walked there (no taxi boat in May) and the lady at the restaurant directly offered to drive us back whenever we want, soooo kind. We had amazing moment, thank you so much !

Best beach and also definitely the best restaurant in the island! We stayed in the island for a week and tried all the most popular restaurants and Kania for sure has the best seafood we ate in Chalki! Everything was super delicious!! Also in terms of sunbeds they offer the most comfortable ones in the island for the same price as other beaches. We reached there via boat for 2.5 Euro per person for one way and while returning back to the center of island we walked from the beach as we wanted to move and see the island from a different perspective. We really enjoyed two days in Kania :)

5 euros per beer. Approximately 13 euros per dish. Everything was delicious. Staff is very nice 👍🏻

Excellent taverna-restaurant, with good food and amazing service. We had freddo cappuccino to start with and late lunch fagri fish with french fries and ouzo. The fish was fresh and cooked to perfection! Thank you to the BBQ chef ! Thank you also to Dimosthenis and Matina for the top service with the smile! The biggest and greatest thank you to Garifalia for the tip to stay for lunch, the nice discussion and great tips. She is the centre of the business! The sunbeds very comfortable, the music nostalgic, the food tasty, the service flawless! Good value for money. Recommended!
Nikos D — Google review
Great owner, fresh seafood, fast service but the quality and cleanliness of the sea is below average when you compare with the other beaches.
Zafer B — Google review
Really nice beach in a perfectly calm version. Crystal clear water. Quiet. Very cheap sunbeds of 3 Euros /per day. 30 min. walk there and back from the harbour or accesible by water taxi. The restaurant seems perfect with a nice staff and the best Greek beer is served there as premium in freezing jugs.
Zoltán N — Google review
Nice beach, quiet, with a fair amount of sunbeds. The little boat taxi you get comes back at a specific time (either 4 or 5 pm) but the return time slots can get full so make sure you ask for the specific time slot you want to come back at. If that slot is not available, then you have to come back at the remaining time slot. You can also return to the main port on foot, takes about 30 min. The staff working there are friendly and the food is good quality. The beach bar makes two different cocktails, Aperol Spritz and Mojitos, and both are good. They also serve beers.

Cafe
The Old Town Corner Bakery is a charming spot located in the heart of Rhodes. It's known for its delicious pastries, including spinach pie and sweet treats that are a must-try during your visit. The bakery offers a cozy atmosphere and is celebrated for its fresh seafood as well. Visitors praise the friendly staff and the high quality and freshness of the bakery products, making it an ideal place to start your day with a delightful breakfast.
Best melt in the mouth cheesecake and ice cold coffee frappe. Was worth the visit. Also collecting the chocolate cake and orange cake to take all the way to Amsterdam.

Amazing spinach and feta pancake. The best savory pancake I have ever had!! Good coffee too and upbeat, friendly service. I will definitely come back! :-)

Very nice coffee and best apple pie I ever had! The staff is also very friendly and the location is great. Not that central in the old town area so it’s not crowded with tourists but still inside the walls. You can have your breakfast while relaxing in the nice streets of the town.

Awesome little business with tasty stuff. Great little place to have a quick bite to eat prior to flying out.

Wonderful orange cake and lovely eggs and bacon breakfast. Highly recommend for breakfast / brunch

Lovely café with warm service and kid-friendly atmosphere. They even brought out some toys for our children, which made the visit so much easier and more enjoyable for the whole family.
Kateřina R — Google review
The odd thing about the old town area is that most restaurants don't open until 10ish, so finding a breakfast spot is not easy. Thankfully, this place was open and serving nice breakfast with lovely fresh pastries and really good coffee. There are a limited number of tables, but the waitress really hustles and is super funny, so it's worth the wait. I have the yogurt with fruit, and the fruit was so fresh and yummy. You sit outside, but it's shaded and a nice spot to people watch or as I call it Tourist on Parade.

Service with a smile and tasty food. Cannot fault it at all. Really enjoyed the feta sandwich and the freddo cappuccino was very good.

Greek restaurant
Fish restaurant
Hatzikeli is a renowned seafood restaurant located in the capital city of Rhodes, offering an upscale dining experience with a focus on Greek seafood dishes. The menu showcases the finest offerings from the Aegean Sea, featuring expertly prepared dishes that are both visually appealing and delicious. Despite its upscale ambiance, the restaurant offers reasonably priced seafood options.
The menu at Hatzikelis is a masterful celebration of Greek gastronomy, elevated with innovative touches that showcase the chef’s creativity and respect for local ingredients. Each dish is cooked to melt-in-the-mouth. Perfection! Eating here was a testament to the kitchen’s dedication to quality and flavor. The selection of regional wines, thoughtfully curated to complement the menu, further enhanced the experience, with our waiter’s expert recommendations proving spot-on. What truly sets this establishment apart, however, is its exceptional service. The staff’s warmth and professionalism were evident in every interaction, striking a perfect balance between attentiveness and discretion.. The entire team worked in harmony, ensuring that every guest felt welcomed and valued, creating an atmosphere of genuine hospitality.

Lovely setting tucked next to a peaceful garden and shaded by tall trees, with a spacious outdoor terrace perfect for a relaxed lunch or dinner. The menu is extensive and focused on seafood, with options in several languages, which is helpful for visitors. Prices are on the higher side, but the location and ambiance are a big plus. Nice spot to take a break from the nearby historical sites.
Miodrag J — Google review
An excellent outdoor seating location overlooking the 14th century church ruins, looks a little more presentable overall than many other neighbouring restaurants. The service was on the slower side, not a major issue for us as we were on a holiday, prawn saganaki was very average, the mains of fish special and seafood risotto were good, decent portion sizes too. The house wine was terrible. It is on a pricier side of dinning, am not sure the overall experience felt as fine dine to match the price but it is a reasonable good seafood restaurant in a nice setting.
Thomas — Google review
This is really special and unique. We got to pick our whole fish from a cold drawer that were caught earlier that day. Then they just told us they would handle everything and we had the best grouper we’ve ever tasted with vegetables and amazing homemade French fries. The brother and sister owners are amazing. Just let them steer you toward a fresh fish with all the accompaniments and you won’t be sorry. Prices are reasonable also.
Mitch S — Google review
We came here for a really late dinner upon arriving in Rhodes. The foods was good, we had the fried calamari, baked feta cheese and the pork gyros platter. Nothing bad about the food, was good enough, but it is a little on the expensive side, even though I suppose you do pay a little extra for the location and view. It wouldn’t probably be my first choice if other options available but for the time we arrived (after 11pm) was ok.
Ionela B — Google review
They are definitely one of the worst Greek restaurants I’ve visited. The grouper was badly overcooked, the so-called “fresh” orange juice was clearly just supermarket juice, and the sole fish was served fried without informing us beforehand. Even a simple piece of bread took ages to arrive. Overall, a very disappointing experience. Not recommended.
Mahir Ö — Google review
A well known restaurant, highly recommended for those who want to try sea food with excellent service, reasonable prices at a comfortable place, at the heart of the Old Town of Rhodes. The treats in the end, ice cream with baklava and liqueur were sure welcome. Listening to live music made the dinner with colleagues even more pleasant.
Konstantinos K — Google review
Already dreaming of my next visit to Rhodes, and this will be my first stop! Everything we tried—the Greek salad, seafood risotto, and stuffed calamari—was absolutely delicious. The staff were super friendly, kind, and helpful. Can’t recommend this place enough!
