Bodies of Water
Shirogane Blue Pond (Aoiike) is a manmade pond known for its tranquil atmosphere and striking blue color, attracting nature enthusiasts. Located about 20 minutes southeast of downtown Biei, it is part of the Shirogane Onsen Hot Spring Resort area, which also features the Shirohige-no-taki Waterfall with its distinctive white cascading water.
Shirogane Blue Pond (Aoiike) is truly a natural wonder. The water has an enchanting jade-like blue-green color that changes subtly with the light, giving it a magical, almost otherworldly appearance. Standing by the pond, you can see shades of turquoise, emerald, and sapphire blending together, creating a view that feels both calm and breathtakingly beautiful. Surrounded by trees and reflections, the scenery looks like a perfect painting. It is one of those rare places where nature feels pure, peaceful, and deeply mesmerizing.
Min M — Google review
We drove there and found it very easy to visit — plenty of parking and the pond is right next to the car park. There’s a short, easy trail and a small shop selling blue-themed ice cream and drinks, plus toilets on site. There isn’t much else around, but it’s a nice, quick stop if you’re in the area. We visited after exploring Furano and Biei, and it made a pleasant, scenic break.

🌿 A Hidden Gem of Nature and Calm If you’re a nature lover or simply looking for a peaceful escape, this spot is absolutely worth visiting. The surroundings are breathtaking — a perfect blend of lush greenery, soothing sounds of nature, and that crisp, refreshing air that instantly calms your mind. The blue ice cream and drink here are a must-try! They’re not just photogenic but also surprisingly delicious and refreshing after a bit of walking. It’s one of those small but memorable local touches that make the experience feel special. It does get quite crowded, especially on weekends or around midday, but the best part is — you can easily find some quiet by taking a short walk away from the main area. Just a few minutes off the main path, the crowd thins out, and you can enjoy the serenity in peace. A short walk ahead leads you to a beautiful waterfall, surrounded by autumn-colored trees that turn the entire scene into a painting. The soft rustle of leaves, the sparkle of water under sunlight, and the cool mist in the air make it one of the most picturesque spots to sit, relax, and take it all in. Whether you’re here for a quick visit or a half-day adventure, this place is a perfect blend of natural beauty, peaceful corners, and seasonal charm. Bring a camera, comfortable shoes, and a sense of wonder — you’ll leave refreshed and inspired.
Adi D — Google review
This is one of those must-visit landmarks — the water is such a clear, stunning shade of blue that it completely captures your eyes. The autumn air was cool and refreshing, making everything around look even more vibrant. There’s also a small stream nearby, and the water there is the same beautiful blue. 💧🍁✨

✨ Absolutely Breathtaking! ✨ Shirogane Blue Pond is truly one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever seen. The water is a mesmerizing, crystal-clear blue that looks almost unreal — like a painting come to life. The way the sunlight reflects off the surface creates a magical glow that changes with every angle. Even though it was quite cold this time of year, the view was still absolutely amazing — the crisp air actually made the colors feel even more vivid and refreshing. The peaceful, icy atmosphere gave the whole scene a quiet, dreamlike beauty. If you’re visiting Hokkaido, bundle up and go! It’s serene, stunning, and completely unforgettable. 💙❄️🌿
Grace V — Google review
A very popular tourist spot in Hokkaido. However do be prepared that it doesnt not look as blue in real life. Most of the pictures you see online are have strong color filter I assume. Just by changing the lighting/filter of the camera you can achieve the results as well. Still a nice place to visit, there is the Shirahige waterfalls nearby as well that is worth visiting.
SL W — Google review
This small, mysteriously turquoise lake isn’t a place I’d particularly recommend to anyone who has traveled around the South Island of New Zealand. The reason is simple — after seeing the vast, breathtaking glacial lakes of Tekapo, Pukaki, or Wanaka, which are thousands of times larger and glow with that deep sapphire-blue color, it’s hard to feel much awe here. For everyone else, I’d say this: the lake isn’t very accessible, but if you happen to be nearby on a clear day, it’s worth a quick stop to take a look.
Johnny K — Google review
This is my 2nd time visiting this blue pond. The last time was in Sep a few year ago while this time is in Nov, which the pond water has an ice covered. I visited late evening and there were lots of tourists to watch the light show, which was amazing in such a cold weather, -1 degree! The pond spotlighted with changing colors beams and effects. This is truly such a way to attract tourists during winter time, which becomes dark early! Worth to visit more than one time!

Panoramic Flower Gardens Shikisai-no-oka is a popular tourist attraction in Biei, featuring vast and colorful flower gardens that bloom all year round. The gardens showcase a variety of flowers such as tulips, pansies, poppies, lupines, lavender, and marigolds. Visitors can enjoy strolling through the patterned rows of blossoms or opt for a leisurely ride on a tractor bus.
Visited recently in summer and it was very hot and scotching. Recommend to put on sunblock and bring UV umbrella. Flowers were nice. Purchased tickets on the spot via the machines. I do not recommend to take the tram ride as it was only for 15 mins and the farm area is actually walkable. Tram goes one small round and stops for 3mins at a spot for photo taking, brings you back to the original stop and the ride ended.
Yvonne L — Google review
The view at this place was spectacular. The flowers had a variety of colors and the same was beautiful. The air was refreshing and pictures taken with best with a blue sky. The place was big and you could not finish walking it within 5 hours. You could take a car and drive around it. I visited on a public holiday I did not have to wait and I could buy tickets there directly.
Kurtis L — Google review
Nice place for flowers field watching but you will pay for the access. The place was extremely crowded, a lot of touristic bus stopped by. The famous potatoes snacks weren't so exciting. They're not salty and not crunchy outside. It was fun renting the kart even though it was expensive compared to the ratio yen/time
Paola M — Google review
Visiting Shikisai-no-oka truly feels like stepping into a painting. The rolling hills are covered with many different kinds of flowers, each arranged carefully to create stunning patterns and colorful waves that stretch across the landscape. From tulips to lavender, sunflowers to marigolds, the gardens showcase the best of every season. What makes this place so special is not only the vibrant colors, but also the way the flowers are planted in creative designs — forming beautiful shapes and breathtaking panoramas that look magical from every angle. Whether you walk among the blooms or view them from above, the scenery is endlessly impressive. The gardens are peaceful, well-kept, and surrounded by the natural beauty of Biei’s gentle hills, making it a perfect place to relax and take photos. Truly, Shikisai-no-oka is a must-visit destination in Hokkaido for anyone who loves nature, flowers, and unforgettable views. 🌿✨

I visited Shikisai-no-Oka in July, and while the weather was hot and humid, arriving right at opening made all the difference. I beat the tour buses and had the chance to capture stunning photos of the vibrant flower fields without crowds. The panoramic views of rolling hills blanketed in seasonal blooms are absolutely breathtaking - like walking through a living painting. Despite the heat, the early morning light and peaceful atmosphere made it a truly memorable experience. Highly recommended for photographers and nature lovers - just go early and bring water!

This is a gorgeous place also called a great paradise! The colorful flowers and gardens are stunning for visitors from all over the world! If you visit Japan, you must have a great visit here ! You can enjoy your visual feast and feel the wonderful atmosphere out of you inner mind! As long as you’re happy and cheerful, you can take your time to relax and enjoy yourself as much as you want to! It’s worth visiting here and also bring you fantastic memories for good!
FEN H — Google review
This flower garden in Biei is very impressive in terms of its expansive size and meticulous upkeep. Spread over rolling hill slopes, the flowering plants create bands of vibrant colours that are a sight to behold. My wife and I visited the garden in July and the flower blooms were fresh and beautiful. Although summer was sunny and hot, our visit was blessed with a very pleasant daytime temperature of 22℃. It was very enjoyable to stroll along the pathways, enjoy the flowers and take photos. As the garden is big, visitors can pay for transport options like tractor-pulled wagons or self-drive golf buggies. At the entrance, there is a big retail shop. Carparking is chargeable at ¥500 per entry and we had to circle around to find a vacant lot. Entry into the garden is also chargeable at ¥500 per adult. Notwithstanding the charges, the garden attracts many visitors. Although the car park was full and the entrance was crowded when we visited, the garden had a relaxing atmosphere as visitors were well spread out across its extensive grounds. In our two trips to Hokkaido, we visited Shikisai-no-Oka and both visits were memorable. It is a “must visit” flower garden.
Jeff L — Google review
A reason to come to Furano in itself. There are flowers planted from around April to November every year, so a good six months with varied views as the flower fields are constantly changing depending on the season. The rolling hills create many opportunities for beautiful vistas and photos. The admission fee of 500 yen is incredibly fair too. Definitely a place to visit during Spring, Summer or Autumn.

Farm Tomita is a renowned flower farm in Japan, particularly famous for its vast lavender fields. The farm offers visitors the chance to explore beautiful lavender plants and enjoy the scenic landscapes of Furano and Biei area. Additionally, visitors can indulge in lavender-infused treats such as ice cream and other local specialties available at the farm's shop. The farm also produces its own lavender extract, which is used to create their popular Lavender Soft Cream, offering a delightful taste with a refreshing aroma.
This is a beautiful scenic spot to enjoy seasonal flowers. The farm is large, and each area has its own vibrant color theme—purple lavender, bright red, sunny yellow, soft pink, and many other shades. It’s relaxing to walk around and take in the views from different angles, each corner offering a new photo opportunity. Across the farm, there are several souvenir shops and dessert stalls, with lavender ice cream being a highlight. We visited in August when many tour buses were here, but the space is wide enough that it didn’t feel too crowded inside. It’s an easy place to spend an hour or two enjoying nature, tasting local treats, and picking up gifts to bring home. We really enjoy the fresh green and orange melons as well as lavender icecream.

Farm Tomita in Furano is one of Hokkaidō’s most beautiful flower spots. In summer, the fields turn into waves of purple lavender, mixed with colorful flower rows that look like a painting. Walking through the gardens is relaxing, and the views of the fields with mountains in the background are stunning. Don’t miss the lavender soft cream—it’s fragrant and refreshing on a warm day. Entry is free, and you can also shop for lavender products like perfumes and soaps to take home. A must-visit if you travel to Furano in July or August.

🌸 A Living Masterpiece of Color and Fragrance Farm Tomita is nothing short of breathtaking—a true wonderland where nature and artistry blend seamlessly. The iconic lavender fields, stretching endlessly in waves of purple, are the crown jewel of the farm. When the breeze flows across, the entire hillside dances with lavender fragrance, creating an almost dreamlike atmosphere. It’s not just a visual delight but also a sensory journey that stays with you long after you leave. ⸻ 🌼 More Than Lavender – A Symphony of Flowers What makes Farm Tomita truly remarkable is that it’s not limited to lavender alone. The farm carefully cultivates a wide variety of seasonal flowers, painting the landscape in ever-changing patterns of color. Stripes of scarlet poppies, golden marigolds, snowy baby’s breath, and vibrant cosmos form breathtaking “rainbow fields” that look like a living painting under the Hokkaido sky. Each section feels like stepping into a different garden, each with its own charm and beauty. ⸻ 🌿 A Perfect Blend of Tradition and Care Farm Tomita doesn’t just showcase flowers—it represents decades of dedication to preserving and celebrating Hokkaido’s floral heritage. Walking through its fields, you can sense the meticulous care behind every bloom. The farm also offers unique lavender-based products—perfumes, essential oils, soaps, and even lavender ice cream—allowing visitors to take home a piece of this floral paradise. ⸻ 🌞 A Place to Slow Down and Feel Happiness Above all, Farm Tomita gives visitors something priceless: a sense of joy and peace. Whether it’s gazing at endless rows of lavender, enjoying the sweet fragrance in the air, or simply standing still to admire the vastness of colors, the farm reminds us how magical nature can be. It is not only a feast for the eyes but also nourishment for the soul. ⸻ ✨ In short: Farm Tomita is a place where flowers speak the language of beauty, harmony, and happiness—a destination that leaves every visitor inspired and enchanted.
Min M — Google review
It was my first time visiting a well-maintained lavender field, and being surrounded by the fragrant purple blossoms was both magical and fascinating—visually and aromatically. Purple is a rare color in nature; when you think about it, it’s actually not that easy to find naturally occurring purple around us. Here, you can also try lavender products like soaps, air fresheners, and even ice cream. As for the lavender ice cream… how should I put it? It’s not that it tasted bad, but it definitely felt a bit unusual. Let’s just say that until that moment, I had never imagined what fabric softener with lavender scent might taste like.

Visited on 29 Sep 2025 and didn't expect to see so many beautiful flowers here in autumn. There are far fewer crowds compared to spring and summer, allowing you to really enjoy the flower field. Recommend visiting in late September or early October if you're looking to avoid the heat and crowds.

Charming farm! 🌻 Farm Tomita is a beautiful spot to experience Hokkaido's countryside and enjoy the vibrant lavender fields. A perfect place to relax and connect with nature 😊 But unfortunately, when I went there, the lavender flowers had already been harvested and at that time there were only other flowers.
Rachmad B — Google review
Probably the most famous flower fields in Furano given how all the tour buses were stopping here. Very crowded with tourists. The flower fields were nice and well maintained but I cant help to feel that other less crowded ones nearby were more lush and more enjoyable. Still, worth a visit. Especially enjoyed the gentle fragrance of lavender wafting in the air
Calvin C — Google review
After hearing about and seeing Farm Tomita in so many Furano itineraries, we definitely wanted to see as well even though we went in mid-October. There were some colourful flowers in bloom so it was pretty but obviously not as vibrant as in summer. Worth visiting for a few photos.

Patchwork Road in Biei is a 14 km-long scenic country road that offers breathtaking views of lush greenery, golden-yellow farmlands, and contrasting azure skies. The area is known for its prosperous agriculture, with various crops planted on the wide hills creating beautiful patchwork-like scenery. Visitors can enjoy the picturesque landscapes and symbolic tree lines along this route, making it a must-visit destination for summer driving trips.
Patchwork Road in winter is a truly magical place. The snow-covered hills and fields create a stunning landscape that looks like a patchwork quilt. When we visited, the fields were blanketed in snow, adding a serene, almost dreamlike quality to the scene. It was the perfect time for taking photos, with the peaceful surroundings and the crisp winter air. The snow gave the fields a special charm, making Patchwork Road even more beautiful and captivating in the winter season.

Hands-down favorite sightseeing spot in Furano-Biei area. Had the privilege to take more time here as we used a rental car instead. Many tourist buses stop right next to the iconic line of trees here and quickly move on to the next location, but the real sight is up the hill past the line of trees. Beautiful stretch of land and hills weaving in and out of each other, a sight I was surprised to see anywhere in the likes of Asia! Didn't expect much from a tourist spot that is literally a stretch of road, but super glad we didn't skip out on this one!

Picturesque location at a high elevation. You can see the rolling hills in uniform colours. Highly recommended if you are on your way or are departing Asahakiwa. It’s just a short drive away. Totally worth your trip. Savour nature and the the farmlands at their best! A must go!!!

It’s pretty much fields and trees. But apparently it’s a tourist spot because the tree was in a cigarette ad or something lol It was nice to see all the fresh green. I think it would be lovely in the winter as well. There is a waiting time for taking photos.

ASPERGES is a chic and contemporary restaurant located in Hokkaido, offering delicate dishes made with seasonal vegetables. The restaurant's colorful art and bright decoration create a luxurious atmosphere for diners to enjoy their time chatting and savoring the French cuisine. The menu features delectable options such as a deconstructed salad with twenty kinds of vegetables, including edible flowers, showcasing the freshness of farm-to-table produce.
An exceptional meal in Biei. The dishes are delicious with nice price. It’s a popular restaurant and so I booked it a month in advance. I tried to walk-in last year but cannot get a table.
Steven W — Google review
Dishes were well executed. We went for dinner. We loved the salad of 20 vegetables. The salad dressing compliments the freshness and subtle sweetness of the produce. Potato soup was heavenly.. there is just something about hokkaido potatoes, they just taste so good. Main course of beef fillet was beautifully done accompanied by stewed onion which taste so sweet and rich. Dessert was ice cream, olive oil and cracked black pepper. Common but nevertheless delicious. The meal did not disappoint except that there is a lack of warmth or passion in the waitstaff. It felt like everyone is just going through the motions.

Lovely course meal lunch with fresh ingredients at a very reasonable price! I love the open kitchen in the entrance and that tables are facing the garden. The slow-cooked meat was delicious, I wish I could’ve ordered more of it!

Cheers K — Google review
We came here for lunch in mid-April. The restaurant prides itself with using Hokkaido produce using French techniques. We had the middle range set menu, which has the grilled pork loin. Everything on the menu was perfect, we absolutely had no notes. The carrot crostini was divine, the winter potato purée was pure perfection, the pork loin was out of this world, and lastly the milk sorbet was not something like I have ever had before. MILK. SORBET! How! If you are in Hokkaido next, I would highly recommend for you all to travel to Biei and visit ASPERGES. Absolutely phenomenal.
Edward G — Google review
Excellent if a touch pricey. Service and food were very good. Local produce well represented. We had the set menus with an a la carte item betel each couple. The 20 vegetable salads were tasty and evoked freshness, from farm to the table. Mains included steak, beef cheeks and ham. The strawberry ice cream at the end was a surprise.
Tor C — Google review
We find this place snobbish despite the restaurant being described as 'refined'. We went for lunch and were told there's only set lunch menu to choose from which we were fine. What shocked us was that we were then told both of us have to choose the same set lunch choice which is both pork or both beef despite there being 3 choices to choose from. When asked why we must choose both the same the reply was they have a group coming in soon. it's surprising because there are only 4 other customers besides us. It is ridiculous to have choices but then tell your customers they only choose one which had to be the same for a couple. It is both inconsiderate and insulting and will not visit this place.

The decoration of the restaurant was bright and beautiful. You can enjoy your time chatting and having the luxurious french cuisine there. Staff was very nice in showing and introducing the food. Restaurant bi.ble is a charming French restaurant located in the picturesque Biei hills, offering custom-made seasonal menus that ensure fresh and delightful flavors. The restaurant's bread is particularly noteworthy, with complimentary refills available. While reservations are recommended due to its popularity, the establishment also houses a lovely boulangerie and boutique hotel. Guests can enjoy delicious pastries and bread from the bakery, making it a perfect stop for food enthusiasts traveling through Hokkaido.
A delightful gem in a roll area outside supper room, which specializes in artisanal breads, but also serves delicious multicourse meals with exquisite presentation and flavors. I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough!
David C — Google review
We four people arrived at the Bi Ble around 13:05, the restaurant put up in their page that no reservation is needed but the lady at the front said they will not be able to receive us even though the table was clearly available, when we inquire and told the lady that we drove three hours to especially come here she said they close at 13:30 but when we opened their page that stated lunch close at 14:30 she opted to tell us that last order was 13:30 which it was 13:09 at that time. We were contemplating just to get their bakeries to take home a Japanese couple without reservation came in and after a little exchange the staff came to the front lady which after awhile she went back into the kitchen before our eyes to tell the staffs in the kitchen something and guess what the Japanese couple was shown the table right away even thought it was 13:20 already (remember the front lady said last order was 13:30) So I decided to inquire this with the same exact staff who should the Japanese couple table and he just bluntly said the couple had reservation which I told him I had asked the couple which they said they didn’t have reservation! So we naturally felt lied to and discriminated!! I never ever reviewed this badly before but the way both front lady and the waiting staffs shown no sign of willingness to help nor compassion of us having 80 years old mother with us and wanted to treat her to a good time was quite far from Japanese hospitality and politeness we had come to love and respect!! MOST DISAPPONITED AND IF ANYONE WOULD LIKE TO TRY HAVE FOOD HERE MAKE A RESERVATION AND GOOD LUCK! WE WILL NEVER GIVE THEM ANY OF OUR SUPPORT!!

Googled and decided to come here for lunch without rsvp. Directions were a bit confusing for the parking lot. There's bakery on premise and picked up some goodies afterwards. The lunch prix fixe menu was pretty good. Service is so so but it's because of language barrier. It's French influence with local ingredients, good fusion dish with nice plating.

Disappointing experience. Will not visit again. Dinner started off well with a tour if the bakery, pretzels and champagne. First course was corn soup accompanied by corn bread. A loaf warm sourdough was served quickly after and it was delicious. Our expectations were heightened as the soup was really savory and highlights the essence of hokkaido produce. Next few dishes were disappointing with mediocre execution and lack of taste profile. Dishes were served hurriedly before our earlier dish is completed. No menu was presented to us. And when asked, the staff just said it was a special course. Explanations of dishes were lacking. Main dish of beef cheek was tender and delish but too salty. Plating lack aesthetics. Dessert was coconut ice cream, white wine jelly and melons. Did someone just throw all leftovers in the fridge to make a dish? I have tried both Asperges and bi.ble Whilst former has better food but both staff has something in common - lack of passion.
SY N — Google review
We had lunch there with a reservation. The overall value is quite good, especially considering the quality and presentation of the food. So the kitchen definitely did a good job. However, as others have mentioned, the service staff need much more training to match the standard of the cuisine. It feels like dining at a fine restaurant but being served by someone from a casual family restaurant, which is an obvious mismatch. If the restaurant management happens to read this, I hope you’ll recognize this issue. It’s a real pity, because the food truly deserves better service.

Located in a remote area of Hokkaido, (Ltd.) Farms Chiyoda farm restaurant Chiyoda offers a unique dining experience with its focus on locally sourced produce. The restaurant manages its own pastureland where Jersey dairy cows and Japanese wagyu cattle roam freely. The wagyu cattle are fed with sake kasu, resulting in marbled beef known for its tender texture. Visitors can also interact with small domestic animals on the farm premises.
Fantastic wagyu beef!! The toast was so creamy and fresh. Our family of 5 truly enjoyed the quiet atmosphere, superb service and delicious, most tender wagyu we have had thus far. Must visit!!!! (The photo was taken at end of my course - I totally forgot to take a photo as the wagyu was so good!)

This is the best restaurant I’ve visited ever. We’ve had a spacial steak of Biei Wagyu beef. The fat tasted like the Tuna sashimi, which is different from the other Wagyu I had tried before (say, Kobe beef) Also, the milk is also a must try item.

The food was surprisingly delicious for a restaurant located in a petting farm. The butter that came with the bread roll was really good & the clam chowder was one of the best I’ve tasted in my life! Rich and creamy with lots of ingredients. And don’t forget to order the French toast too coz it’s a perfect ending for a great meal!

Just a heads up, it can get quite busy during peak hours, so be prepared for a bit of a wait. But honestly, the food is well worth it! Highly recommend.

Clean great service and how I envision southern or country food in Japan. Very kid friendly and a great stop if your checking out the flowers in Furano/Beie. They also have a farm that's part of Chiyoda that offers baby sheep/cow feeding and other animals

This farm provided me an unforgettable experience. It provided a restaruant which servered the most top icecream made from its self made cheese. The flavour was definitely memorable. We also got a chance to feed little lambs. They were cute and not feirce, they won't bite you as long as you dont make fun of them. I also got a rare experience of milking cows. Cafe Junpei is a charming restaurant with friendly and accommodating staff. Despite closing at 3pm, they welcomed customers even close to closing time. The prawn cutlet rice set exceeded expectations in taste and quality, offering a reasonable price. The Ebi Katsu was particularly delightful, with perfectly crispy prawns and flavorful dipping sauce. The restaurant's decor adds to its charm, making it highly recommended for visitors near the Blue Pond area.
This is the biggest, the most delicious tempura curry that i tried so far. The shrimp is surprisingly tender considering its big size. We came a little late in the morning and this the only thing left to order. They also serve coffee and desserts. Will try to visit again for the cordon bleu.🙂

This was the best ebi katsudon I have ever had in my life! My partner got the curry ebi katsu while I got the original ebi katsu (best-selling set) and it came with miso soup and salad. The ebi katsu was crispy, fresh, tasty and absolutely filled with prawns inside! The sauce drizzled over the ebi katsu complimented it so well. Additionally, service was very quick. We were immediately sat down and our orders were taken after a short while (they do not have much on their menu) and after about 5 minutes, our sets came out piping hot. Overall, this was such an amazing experience, and would highly recommend this place if you are in Biei!

When the cafe history speaks for itself, since 1977. One of the best minced pork cutlet and fried shrimp 🍤 that I had in Hokkaido. The minced port cutlet was juicy and tender at the same time. With add on hot cup of mocha, it just nice to continue your activity for the rest of the day. PS: If you want to be sure to get the table, please arrive as early as the cafe is open. Or else you’ll compete with tourist who arrives in busses 🚍 😅

The shrimp tempura was quite large in size. The shrimp itself was fresh and crispy, though it felt a little dry — I think it could have had a softer texture if it were cooked just slightly less. The savory sauce made me want to keep eating more rice. I didn’t expect much from a small-town restaurant, but it turned out to be a really enjoyable meal. There can be a wait during mealtimes.

Note that credit cards are not accepted here. Typical katsu restaurant. Customers come in bus loads, and I guess they pre-ordered their lunch. Grilled chicken and minced pork cutlet was sold out, so we ordered the chicken roll and fried shrimp. Not a bad choice either. Everything was nice. Overall, a nice place to have lunch.

When we visited Cafe Junpei, they were only serving Ebi dishes that day. The fried Ebi tempura was delicious, whether in the rice bowl or the curry set. The parfait is a sweet treat and a perfect way to finish the meal. Although the queue was long, the line moved quickly, and staff cleaned up tables efficiently, so waiting wasn’t a problem. Service was fast, and the food arrived promptly. The cafe has a cozy and welcoming atmosphere, making it a pleasant spot to enjoy a meal. For seafood lovers, especially fans of Ebi, this place is a must-visit, with

The fried prawns are a must-try! We got to the restaurant at around 12:30 pm on Saturday and were told the 3- or 4-prawn sets and pork cutlets set were sold out. But then we saw locals who came in after us still able to order them. Maybe they keep a quota just for locals instead of foreigners.

"歩人 (HOBBITO)" is a charming and cozy eatery in Hokkaido that offers a delightful selection of homemade sausages, hams, and bacons. The menu features a variety of options including tasting platters with bread, butter or liver pate, and milk or yogurt. Despite its small size, the restaurant's warm ambiance and friendly staff create a welcoming atmosphere for visitors.
Great food and try the sausages. All of it. Produced in store freshly everyday.

Great place to try different sausages and cured meats. We ordered the set with the most varieties to try them all. Unfornately there wasn't any infographic to explain each of items. Nevertheless we enjoyed the food! Special mention to the curry which was rich, deep and flavourful.

Nice, quaint and interesting place to have a meal. Very small cafe style place. They produce their own meats like sausages and hams so its on the menu to order a tasting platter. Their curry is also decent and comes with one of their homemade sausages

A very nice place for enjoying varieties of homemade sausages, hams and bacons! I ordered sausages plate B, the set comes with bread and choice of butter or liver pate, and milk or yoghurt! Not only all sausages, hams, bacons were impressive, the bread, butter, liver pate, milk and yoghurt were truly amazing. Of the many restaurants I visited in Hokkaido, this one is in the top three! Recommend!

Restaurant closes at 6pm, did not manage to eat here as we went to check out the Blue Pond and Shirahige Falls and stayed past 6pm. We did however manage to get some good shots on the road further away, so it wasn't a wasted trip! :D

Great experience dining here. The sausage set was delicious, and the staff was warm even thought they spoke little English. The ambience is comforting as well.
