Bratislava

Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia, is set along the Danube River by the border with Austria and Hungary. It’s surrounded by vineyards and the Little Carpathian mountains, crisscrossed with forested hiking and cycling trails. Castle
Sights & Landmarks
Perched on a hilltop in Bratislava, Slovakia, the iconic Bratislava Castle is a reconstructed Baroque fortress with roots dating back to 907 A.D. This national museum offers visitors a glimpse into the city's intriguing history and serves as a prominent landmark dominating the capital's skyline.
What a lovely place, perched up over the city as castles often are, providing great views across the city and river Danube. Free entry to gardens around the castle and well worth a visit. There is more than one entrance and exit to the castle, but the main entrance at the top of the steep hill has the nicest entrance with a lovely gateway entrance. There is a red bus that takes you up and down the hill, l didn't use it so unsure of the cost, but worth knowing if you are not great with steep climbs.
Claire W — Google review
Very cool castle. Unfortunately it was super foggy the day we visited, so we couldn’t enjoy the view, but it gave a nice mysterious vibe to the castle. The gardens are beautiful, and the inside as well. Nothing too special if you’ve visited other big castles in Europe, but I’d say it’s worth it of you have a couple of hours to spend
Rodrigo C — Google review
Perched on a hill overlooking the Danube, this white fortress offers the best panoramic views in the city. The museum inside is skippable unless you’re into Slovak political history - the real attraction is the gardens and views from the terrace. Sunset here is spectacular. Tip: Visit in the late afternoon and walk down via the old stone steps into the Old Town for dinner.
Neel B — Google review
Definitely worth a visit. A real castle on the hill. You can walk to it from the city centre, taking around 20-30 minutes but it’s an uphill route. Although inside the castle, there’s not much to see, I still really like the view from the tower. You can also visit the castle from the outside in the evening as well.
P — Google review
Bratislava Castle is an absolutely stunning landmark that dominates the city skyline and offers breathtaking views of the Danube River. Its elegant white façade and four corner towers give it a majestic, timeless charm. Inside, the castle houses fascinating exhibitions about Slovak history and culture, beautifully presented in a modern yet respectful way. The surrounding gardens and courtyards are peaceful and well maintained, perfect for a quiet walk or photo stop. Whether you’re interested in history, architecture, or just enjoying a great panoramic view, Bratislava Castle is a must-visit destination that truly captures the spirit of Slovakia.
Salvatore P — Google review
Bratislava Castle is absolutely worth the visit. The walk up is relaxing, and once you reach the top, the views over the city and the Danube are incredible. The castle itself is clean, well-kept, and full of history, but what I loved most was the peaceful atmosphere around the gardens and walls. It’s one of those places where you can take your time, enjoy the scenery, and really appreciate the city. A must-see when you’re in Bratislava!
Jack F — Google review
It's a must do on your visit to the old town in Bratislava. The views are great. I suggest walking up to the castle first before going down to the town. Lovely manicured gardens.
Munjoo M — Google review
The castle has great outsides and looks that has been maintained very well. Great to go walking or just outside coffee. The inside exhibitions at least from mi pov are very minimalistic. For the same price you can get to great exhibitions in other countries, at some point there were paintings but no info on it, I did Google lens to understand.

Catholic cathedral
Sights & Landmarks
St. Martin's Cathedral is a 13th-century Gothic/Romanesque Catholic cathedral in Bratislava, known for its four chapels and three naves used for coronations. The cathedral is part of the city's historical sights, including the UFO Bridge, Bratislava Synagogue site, Jewish WWII Memorial, Palffy Palace, University Library, and more.
When we got there, they were finishing some organ music. It was so beautiful. I wish we had come earlier. We didn't walk much inside because there was a baptism happening later and we didn't want to disturb, but we saw enough.
Paulo S — Google review
Nice and historic cathedral with plenty of significance, but nothing too special. Worth a quick stop while exploring the old town - not the most dazzling in Europe, though full of history.
Highway V — Google review
I didn’t go inside Saint Martin’s Cathedral, but I wandered around the charming streets surrounding it early in the morning. The area was peaceful and picturesque, and I managed to take some beautiful photos. I really loved the atmosphere and the view of the cathedral from the outside it’s truly impressive .
Saeed B — Google review
A very beautiful place in Bratislava. Entrance to the main cathedral is free, while for €3 you can visit the choir with the organ, the crypt, and the treasury. All of this is also included in the Bratislava Card.
Igor F — Google review
Recommended if you are only going to take in one church on this visit. This cathedral has much to offer from crypt, relics, carvings, stained glass and much more- as per photos. Separate space for private prayers too.
Jean K — Google review
What a wonderful place! St. Martin’s Cathedral is not only a must-see when exploring the city, but also a place full of charm and warmth. The architecture is simply breathtaking—rich in history and full of timeless elegance. The hardworking people there are truly lovely—kind, helpful, and with a certain special sparkle that stays with you. Don’t miss the little shop inside—they sell folklore-inspired pins that are just incredible. Trust me, it’s not just the architecture that will steal your heart. Definitely coming back. Slovenské srdce cítiť všade.
Gerardo R — Google review
It is probably the largest and oldest cathedral in Bratislava, and it is famous because it is historically a coronation church for the Kingdom of Hungary for years of 1563 and 1830. Church entrance fee is by visitor’s voluntary contribution, while tower and garden do require mandatory entrance fee. St Marin’s Church was built originally as a Gothic cathedral in 13th century but it gradually transformed into Baroque style with addition of Baroque Chapel, Baroque tower [to replace Gothic tower which was damaged by lighting in 17th century]. Like many old churches in Europe, St. Marin’s Church also has a few graves of the saints and historical figures’ remains in its basement and building underground, which is sealed with semi-transparent glass on the ground floor, and the church-goers can view the graves and pay their respects. Based on Cathedral data, it seems to have 3 crypts going down to 6 meters from the ground floor. For visitors from Vienna and other foreign cities, they can take Bus from Central Train Station [ Hlavná stanica, which is outside Bratislava hl.st. ] after getting off the QBB Train. In general, QBB Train Tickets bound for Bratislava do allow visitors to take Bratislava bus, tram, and other local transportation free of charge on the arrival day. It is highly recommended for visitors to St. Martin’s Church to visit Medieval City Wall and Bratislava Old Town together, and the City Municipality does provide clear road direction for the visitors.
Ben H — Google review
The cathedral is quite cheap to visit (5 euros and most of the sections don't actually require a ticket). There is also a audio guide with different languages available at the souvenir shop with some interesting facts. The visit takes around 1h

Sights & Landmarks
The Blue Church, also known as the Church of St. Elizabeth of Hungary, is a striking baby-blue church designed in the art nouveau style in the early 1900s. Its unique blue-colored exterior and otherworldly architectural style make it one of the most unique churches to visit. The design is reminiscent of the popular Sagrada Familia cathedral in Barcelona, but with a blue hue. Visitors can marvel at its architecture and enjoy free entry during designated times every day except Sundays.
Bratislava- Slovakia 🇸🇰 The Blue Church – officially known as the Church of St. Elizabeth – is one of the most iconic landmarks in Bratislava, Slovakia.😇♥️ Situated in the Old Town, about 10 minutes’ walk from the city center Sky blue façade, mosaics, and roof tiles — hence the nickname “The Blue Church” Oval church nave with a cylindrical tower. Decorated with white and blue majolica tiles. Interior is equally blue-themed, with painted pews, walls, and ceilings. Contains an image of St. Elizabeth of Hungary, to whom it is dedicated. Don’t miss this Holy place and architectural marvel if you’re around Bratislava 🫶🏻♥️
Sony K — Google review
This church is so cute. The blue against the afternoon sky was a great to see. The church opens at 5.30 to 7pm but I was lucky there was a wedding going on so I was able to see the inside before it officially opened. But its definitely worth the visit.
Mandy J — Google review
I visited the Blue Church in Bratislava, and it truly feels like a fairytale building—almost like a big, beautifully decorated cake. The pastel blue color and unique Art Nouveau style make it stand out from anything else in the city. I was lucky enough to watch a music show inside, and the atmosphere was magical. The interior matched the charm of the outside, and the acoustics made the performance even more special. It’s not a big church, so you don’t need too much time to explore, but it’s definitely worth a visit for its one-of-a-kind design and peaceful vibe.
Cinc V — Google review
Its a very pretty place! Even the benches are a very pleasing pastel blue. Almost fairy tale like. The exterior makes you want to bite into this pretty fondont cake!!
Nandini B — Google review
Very unique looking church which was one of a kind. Not really in the most exciting part of the town but would recommend visiting during broad daylight by car. The inside of the church was closed but you could still look inside. Everything was very baby blue which I have never seen before. Definitely a must visit in Bratislava.
Anand — Google review
Unique architecture with a fairy-tale feeling. Even though it’s located in a less popular area and was closed to the public during our visit, it’s definitely worth seeing.
Marius G — Google review
Beautiful church, closed when we visited lots of tourists as to be expected. Visited late November after snow fall. Magical

Its a Blue church, its very nice, but thats pretty much it, go check it out as its pretty unique but really thats it, if it was miles away id probably not bother but everything in Bratislava is pretty walkable

The Old Town Hall in Bratislava is part of a complex that includes a museum featuring exhibits on the city's history. The area around the hall, including Hviezdoslavovo Namestie, is home to several landmarks such as Roland Fountain and various palaces. Bratislava itself offers unique attractions like bronze figures and the UFO Bridge, along with historical sites like St. Martin's Cathedral and St. Michael's Gate.
The Old Town Hall in Bratislava is a charming historic spot, especially during the winter season. The festive Christmas market adds a cozy, inviting atmosphere with good food and mulled wine to keep you warm. It’s a great place to wander, taste local treats, and soak up the winter vibes. Whether you’re enjoying the historic buildings or the chill vibe, it’s a perfect destination for a winter vacation in Bratislava!

The Old Town Hall is one of the most iconic landmarks in Bratislava. Located right in the main square, it stands out with its colorful architecture and historic charm. The building itself is beautiful from the outside, and the square around it is lively with cafés shops and street performers. Even if you don’t go inside, it’s a must-see spot while exploring the old town

This was a lovely little exhibit. The views of the old town are spectacular and navigating the museum part is easy. The receptionist was also very kind and cheerful.

The Old Town Hall in Bratislava is one of the city’s oldest and most iconic buildings, dating back to the 14th century. Originally a complex of connected houses, it served as the city’s administrative and judicial center. The building features a distinctive tower, Gothic and Renaissance architectural elements, and a charming courtyard. Today, it houses the Bratislava City Museum, showcasing local history. Tickets currently cost €8.

The Old Town Hall in Bratislava is a fascinating historical landmark that offers a glimpse into the city's rich cultural heritage. The building's architecture is stunning, with Gothic, Renaissance, and Baroque elements all coming together in a harmonious blend. The highlight of the Old Town Hall, however, is the breathtaking view from the top of the tower. Climbing up to the top is a bit of a climb, but the panoramic views of Bratislava from the tower are well worth the effort. The view offers a unique perspective of the city's skyline and the Danube River. Overall, the Old Town Hall is a must-see attraction for anyone visiting Bratislava, especially those who want to take in the city's stunning views.

So glad we stayed close to Old Town Bratislava, there are so much to do and see. Friendly services everywhere we went, lively atmosphere. Filled with locals hanging out outside with drinks and laughters. And yes, it is a touristy area, however it didn’t feel like that. We enjoyed the walk to old town, beautiful area with characters; so many dining selections and most are really good; many boutique shops and unique items to look at, such a fun place visit. Highly recommend by @winedinenvacay

Art gallery
Located on a dramatic setting along the Danube, the Danubiana Meulensteen Art Museum is a world-class gallery showcasing modern art exhibitions and sculpture gardens. The museum's outdoor sculpture garden offers an invigorating experience, while inside, floor-to-ceiling windows provide a stunning backdrop of the water for contemporary art displays. The museum features works by Slovak and Czech artists such as Viera Kraicova, Vincent Hloznik, and Rudolf Fila.
Beautiful museum on an island in the Danube. The outdoor sculptures are by far the best part. They even used the roof of the museum for more sculptures. The setting is lovely. My only note would be that it would be nice if the cafe had some food besides desserts. Although the desserts were yummy!
Juli P — Google review
Danubiana is truly a gem just outside Bratislava—a museum of international class, but on a more intimate and accessible scale. What really stood out was the strong focus on local and regional artists, which gave the visit a real sense of place and identity. The mix of permanent and changing exhibitions keeps things fresh and engaging. The location is stunning—situated on a narrow peninsula (almost like an island!) surrounded by the Danube, with views of the river in full force. Don’t miss the sculpture park outside or the rooftop terrace, both perfect for a peaceful stroll and great photo opportunities. The café is another highlight. It’s a lovely spot to relax, with outdoor seating that lets you enjoy the scenery while taking a break. This was our first visit, but definitely not the last. Highly recommended for art lovers, nature lovers—or anyone looking for a special experience just a short drive from the city.

This place is so awesome. Feels otherworldly. A must see, but reserve a few hours at least. Surrounded by water, art and beautiful spaces everywhere. Go see for yourself.
Matus M — Google review
It was a truly amazing experience. The artwork is fascinating, and the place itself is stunning. It overlooks either a river or a lake—I’m not sure which—but the view is absolutely charming.
Amer A — Google review
A one of kind museum in the middle of the Danube river. It was a bit far from the city but it's worth a trip, you can spend 1-2 hours here but I would recommend to go there on sunny days as a huge part of the artworks are outside in the gardens or on the rooftop. I didn't like all the temporary exhibition but they were mainly good. Best part was the photography exhibition by Rancinan. The café inside the museum was lovely.
Emilio — Google review
It is a very nice museum! For lovers of modern art and finding artists from Slovakia and other surrounding countries, this is a must in Bratislava! It is easily accessible by bus from the centre of the city (departing from Nové SND, 2 zones), and it is situated in a very beautiful place! Personally, I thought that it needed more female artists, but the pieces being displayed are very dynamic and stunning! The staff is very kind, there's also free water, portable folding chairs and a nice outside area to roam and catch some sunlight. The café is nice, and it is very well decorated! The WC is very clean and functional. The only downside is the museum shop, which doesn't contain much from the museum itself. It definitely needed more postcards with pieces being displayed and other merchandise from the exhibitions. Definitely worth a visit!!
João P — Google review
Amazing location and the curated art pieces are excellent. Very good visit.

An unusual art museum, which is distinguished by its location, its originality, its concept... will be especially interesting to everyone who follows the trends of contemporary art. Pub
Slovak Pub is a unique 11-room establishment located in Bratislava, offering an authentic Slovakian experience. The pub is housed in a 150-year-old cottage and brews its own beer on-site. The interior features dark brown, uneven wooden floors that have been worn down by the countless locals who gather there daily to enjoy the house lager at an affordable price.
Definitely recommend having a meal here and trying the sheep's milk dumplings and the garlic with cheese soup on a bread bowl. It was so yummy!! Love all the history tidbits in the menu. The interior is a old pub feel but the food and little details made it a perfect spot for some simple, tasty and authentic food. Service was great. Beer was cold. Feed was delicious!!

This place is absolutely amazing and a total must-visit if you're in the city! It has such a cozy feel, and the old-fashioned decor gives it a really special charm. We decided to try the goulash and the cheese dip for our starter, and everything was delicious—it definitely didn't disappoint! We were only in town for two days and loved it so much we came back for lunch both days. Highly recommend!
Munira A — Google review
Quirky, rustic, and full of character. The menu reads like a crash course in Slovak cuisine - bryndzové halušky, kapustnica, and hearty goulash served in bread bowls. The portions are enormous, the prices are excellent, and the atmosphere feels like a student tavern crossed with a folk museum. Tip: Order a local beer and share plates. Go hungry.
Neel B — Google review
We had a wonderful meal at Slovak Pub! We started with a delicious garlic soup served in bread : absolutely amazing. Then we shared a trio of traditional dishes: small dumplings with cabbage, dumplings with sour cream and bacon, and pierogi, all very tasty and full of flavor. We also tried a schnitzel topped with egg, which was excellent. The atmosphere is cozy and authentic, perfect for trying traditional Slovak food. The girl who served us was very kind and friendly, which made the experience even nicer. Definitely worth a visit when in Bratislava!
Cinzia G — Google review
I recently visited this wonderful restaurant and was genuinely impressed by the entire experience. The food was outstanding, especially the traditional Slovak dishes that were full of rich, comforting flavors and prepared with clear attention to authenticity. The service was warm and welcoming, and every member of the staff made me feel truly taken care of throughout the meal. The atmosphere was one of the most memorable parts, with beautiful wooden décor that created a cozy, rustic feeling from the moment I walked in. The interior design felt very original and thoughtfully put together, almost like stepping into a traditional Slovak lodge. The fireplace added an extra touch of warmth and charm, making the whole space feel inviting and relaxing. Overall, it was a delightful place to enjoy a hearty meal and I would happily return for another great experience.
Gattobianco1987 — Google review
Our hotel concierge recommended this place for lunch. It is a very interesting restaurant, part of it looks like a church yet the dinning room is like a hunting lodge. My wife and I ordered the garlic soup in a bread bowl, a chicken skewer, a chicken wrapped ham and cheese (kind of like the chicken cordon bleu) and a glass of beer. With the late November cold weather the soup was extra warm and hearty. The chicken dishes were both very delicious. The price was very reasonable, and the service and atmosphere were also great! This will be on our list of must-eat restaurants in Bratislava.
Jeff C — Google review
Cozy atmosphere that feels exactly like Slovakia. The food was outstanding — we tried all the traditional dishes. It’s quiet inside with soft music. Our waitress (Nadia) was very polite and handled everything perfectly. We were unsure where to try real traditional food, and they helped us experience it properly. The only downside is that I don’t have a second stomach to fill as well.
Ангел Д — Google review
The man who seemed like the owner welcomed me. He looked kind and nice. He offered me with a seat, the nearest table from the entrance which made me smell the cigarette smoke from the outside unwantedly during my lunch(it turned out there was a lot of empty tables inside the restaurant). Also, there were two chinese speaking ladies right next to me, and I was wondering why there're only asian tables near the entrance 🤷🏻‍♂️. Food was great tho. I'd recommend this place when it comes to trying traditional Slovak food.

Modrá Hviezda, also known as Blue Star, is a charming restaurant located within the Bratislava Castle complex. It offers a cozy and authentic Slovak dining experience with a warm and rustic interior. The menu features traditional Slovak dishes with a contemporary twist, such as halusky topped with Mangalica bacon and roasted special pork Mangalica.
I have been here 2 times before leaving this review. Very intimate and comfortable place, the waiters are kind and interacted with me in my native language (Italian) . The stay is accompanied with calm and relaxing music. Food is well served, with a right balance of the ingredients. I recommend the duck liver or the foie gras for starter and the venison loin for main course.

We had a lovely dinner at Modrá Hviezda. The food, beer & homemade lemonade was delicious. The cosy, quirky atmosphere made it a great place to enjoy traditional Slovak food. Our server, Martin, was kind, attentive, and made thoughtful recommendations. I especially appreciated him addressing me by name—such a nice touch! Highly recommend for delicious local dishes in a unique setting. Thank you

We came here on a recommendation. We loved it. It's made inside the mountain on the way to the castle in a medieval style. We ordered soup as a starter, then rabbit and venison . The sweet and sour venison sauce was finger-licking good. As dessert Poppy seed dumplings it s delicious The staff was warm and friendly and thpical soft eelaxing music These place is not cheap but it s not expensive You have to go!!! Recomendation : for dinner you have to do a reservation
Susy T — Google review
Modrá Hviezda isn't just a meal; it's a truly out-of-this-world food experience that stands as one of the best in Bratislava. This is a genuinely gourmet establishment, and I cannot stress enough that you need a prior reservation, ideally made through their website, to ensure you don't miss out. Walk-ins will likely be disappointed, as every table is in high demand—and for good reason. Every single bite seemed like bliss. I ordered two dishes that were absolute top-notch: 1. The Rabbit Leg with Red Wine Sauce and Forest Mushrooms was perfection. The rabbit was fall-off-the-bone tender, and the red wine sauce was rich and earthy, perfectly complementing the fresh forest mushrooms. 2. The Duck Liver Pâté with Almonds and Cranberries was a masterful starter. The pâté was smooth and decadent, with the almonds adding a satisfying crunch and the cranberries cutting through the richness with a beautiful tartness. The setting is intimate, the service is impeccable, and the quality of ingredients is unmatched. If you are looking for an unforgettable culinary highlight in Bratislava, this is it. Book your table now!
Arnab P — Google review
The food was good, but too expensive! We spent over 35€ per person to have a shared starter and a main dish each. I found out later in my stay that there’s more places (equally known locally and to tourists) that offer Slovakian cuisine to a much better price. You might feel cramped when seated inside, we got the cellar and everything was a bit overbearing - loudness and darkness alike. Overall experience was okay.

The UFO in Bratislava is a futuristic masterpiece, part of the New Bridge that connects the old city to the Petrzalka district. This structure houses a restaurant and skybar with stunning views of the Danube. Known as SNP Most, it serves as a memorial to the Slovak National Uprising against Nazism.
This restaurant offers a very good culinary experience for great value. The service is very high end, it has delicious food options and the views are incredible. We came for dinner and its very nice to enjoy the sunset and different colours changing in the horizon while enjoying a very delicious meal. The bread is also incredible!!

Dining at UFO was an amazing experience. Thanks to Bratislava Tourist Board And Bratislava Convention Bureau for organizing this trip. The view at the observation desk is mind blowing. The old town and the new town takes to the history of this very old but beautiful city. The food at the restaurant was very tasty. The personalized service was professional

For the price (80€ total in my case) and service, it was quite a nice experience for me since I was trying a fine dining restaurant for the first time. As my 2nd visit to Bratislava only for this place, it was quite enjoyable and memorable. Only downside was the tower shaking a bit from the vehicles passing through the highway which made it uncomfortable at times.

We ate at the bar, because our visit was spontaneous and there were no table available at such short notice, but WOW, what an amazing and exciting experience! The views are absolutely stunning, breathtaking in every direction, the restaurant itself has a lovely atmosphere, the bar food was delicious and the staff were very friendly and efficient. We would happily have stayed there for much longer but it closed for the night. A member of staff even ordered us a taxi from his App. Definitely a highlight of our holiday and we cannot wait to return.

My wife and I came here for dinner and it was absolutely amazing. From the food to drinks to service the staff was wonderful. My wife had the hamachi (like a ceviche) and I had the foie gras to start it was phenomenal. For dinner I had the duck which was spectacular and my wife had the monkfish which was also amazing. If you are visiting Bratislava this restaurant is a must!!! Our waiter Yan was super nice and sweet. Very knowledgeable and friendly!! I love this restaurant.

I highly recommend visiting the observation tower in advance, and then having a delicious cocktail in the bar. The view of the city and the Danube is wonderful! It was our first wedding anniversary dining. We are very impressed with the experience! The dinner was a real fine dining event. the menu is short, but everyone will find something suitable for themselves. We would like to thank you again for the kind service, enthusiastic and very polite young people were around us. We ate souvidated duck and pumpkin risotto, which I can only recommend. The appetizers perfectly matched the high standard of the cuisine, the restaurant and the atmosphere. The duck was particularly juicy and tasty, and the pak choi served as a side dish was both crunchy and delicious. The little farewell gift upon departure was simply fantastic, a worthy crown of the dinner. We thank you for everything and will definitely go back another time.

I am from South Africa and was excited to visit the UFO TOWER in Bratislava. The view was absolutely beautiful, but the WAITER WAS SO RUDE!!. He kept on moving us to different seating, although it was not booked. THE CUPPACINO WAS ICED COFFEE and then he argued that, that was what I ordered. This was a VERY NEGATIVE EXPERIENCE. We were there in the late afternoon of 25 October, 2025.

Restaurant
Zylinder Cafe Restaurant in Bratislava takes you back to the days of Pressburg, with its Austro-Hungarian Empire charm. The classic decor and friendly staff create a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The menu offers a variety of meat dishes like goulash, pork ribs, and oxtail alongside vegetarian options. Despite its traditional feel, the restaurant maintains a modern touch with trendy culinary creations from talented chefs.
A nice little restaurant in a beautiful area, very beautiful and peaceful. The food and the coffee was good, the first time in ages I found marrowbone in a restaurant! My friends took the tartare and the filled farmer dumplings, everything was delicious. I recommend the place if you want to enjoy a good lunch with the noise of the fountain and the shadow of the trees.

Food is fantastic although the service is not as good. Anyway back to the food - I know all of the dishes I took there from lots of different places. I eat them a lot and I really love them and their approach to the seasoning of all of them is amazing. I’ve never had as delicious versions of the dishes I tested as the ones I got there! Tatar is just incredible! Even if someone is not a fan, you should try it - even share it but it’s worth it, really! ❤️

We had a great experience at this restaurant! The food was delicious and big portions. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and they even had a high chair for our baby, which made our meal so much easier. Highly recommended for families!

Taste of good old times. Excellent authentic local food typical for the melting pot of cultures that is Bratislava. Slovak, Hungarian, Austrian, whatever you choose from the menu, you can't go wrong. We keep coming back for years and we have never been disappointed. Try Bryndzové Halušky, the traditional potato dough dumplings with the unique Slovak fresh sharp sheep bryndza cheese, or the mushroom pörkölt, or the Schnitzel, I guarantee you'll be coming back for more.

Great Slovak restaurant with authentic food. I had the Szeged beef goulash and spicy chickpea and lentil soup, both of which were excellent. The staff are attentive and courteous.

A hearty restaurant right in the pedestrian center of Bratislava. We had some delicious food here and the service was great. When our waitress came to take our order she also recommended a few local dishes. Our food was brought to the table relatively quickly, considering that there was a large group of people seated a few tables away.

I went to this restaurant after reading the good reviews but we didn't have a reservation, but the manager of the restaurant showed us to a very nice table. the staff are welcoming and kind and the space is very nice. we tried pork schnitzel and breaded chicken with potato gnocchi and we really liked them. I will definitely visit this restaurant if I am in Bratislava again. I recommend it..

Bistro
Bistro St. Germain is a cozy spot with comfy armchairs and shelves of books, perfect for enjoying a leisurely coffee or homemade lemonade. The menu offers casual fare like quiches, burgers, salads, hummus plates, and wraps. Their circular potato fries are a great accompaniment to the sandwiches, but the real highlight is their delectable desserts, especially the variety of cheesecakes available.
Amazing place, loved the interior design choices, music, big real plants, altogether great athmosphere. Breakfast sandwiches is delicious, the mango parlova desset is very well balanced also great quality coffee. Kind ans attendive service.

Bistro St. Germain is the perfect spot for a delicious breakfast in the heart of the city. We tried the breakfast sandwich filled with a fluffy omelette, quality ham, cheddar cheese, and fresh salad – a combination that will delight any breakfast lover. The scrambled eggs on crispy sourdough bread were cooked to perfection – soft, creamy, and full of flavor. To drink, we enjoyed a refreshing mimosa made with pineapple juice, which paired beautifully with our meal. We finished with two ristrettos, rich in aroma and perfectly balanced in taste. Great food, friendly service, and an excellent location make Bistro St. Germain a place worth returning to. Highly recommended for anyone looking for the best breakfast in Bratislava.

Perhaps I chose the wrong dishes but based on my experience I will not eat there again. I had no idea about the beers and so I randomly chose one. I didn't like it and couldn't finish it though I was thirsty. The tartine sounded very promising but it was very disappointing. The cheese used is a high fat bland cheese (probably 60% fat which is a caloric bomb). There was a little squash pumpkin on top but the bread is not spectacular. I gave some to the dog whose owners sat close to me and the dog liked it which confirms my impression (dogs like high caloric and high fat bland food). At that stage my stomach was heavy and I did not want to eat a dessert. However, knowing I will never pay a return visit curiosity made me order a chocolate cake. The cake is in the shape of a souffle but it has no liquid and is larger. It contains a large amount of whipped cream. This too is a caloric bomb which I suppose is fine if you happen to be a 20 year old Slovak basketball player who is 2 meters tall but for me it is inedible. If I had to describe this bistro on two words they are ; quantity over quality (P.S : the parsley and radish apparent on the photo is my own. I usually bring washed herbs along).

I really like coming here. It’s a cozy place and they serve very tasty food. Most of all I love the salmon croque monsieur sandwich, the round potatoes and the 3-leches cake which is absolute bliss :))
