Visited Mauritshuis, a very well-known museum located in The Hague, near the Binnenhof. The first interesting thing I learned is that Mauritshuis actually means “Maurits’ house”, which is quite fascinating! However, behind the beauty of the building, the story of how its fortune was built is not entirely pleasant. However I won’t spoil it, because you should visit and find out yourself! This museum is also home to the iconic “Girl with a Pearl Earring” by Johannes Vermeer. Fun fact: we might not even be sure it’s an earring, as it doesn’t appear to be hooked! Another remarkable painting is “View of Delft”, also by Vermeer, which holds a special place in my heart since we live nearby and it carries meaningful memories. We even bought a puzzle of that painting, surprisingly affordable for something sold in such a prestigious museum! During our visit, there was also a live Q&A about painting restoration, where they were working on “The Bull” by Paulus Potter. It was fascinating to see how restoration combines art, material and chemical engineering, ethics, and history. For instance, The Bull was taken during the French occupation of the Netherlands, and at some point, a nail scratch was added to the painting. The big question is: do you fix it, restore it, or keep it as part of history? You decide! You can also download the Mauritshuis app and enjoy a free audio guide directly from your phone. I recommend bringing your own headset for the best experience. Overall, a truly great and thought-provoking experience, so I highly recommended!

A small but nice museum with a collection of beautiful paintings. I went there to see the Girl with the Pearl Earring. It was interesting to watch experts clean up one of the paintings. Staff are friendly & helpful, the museum & facilities are clean and the shop has nice souvenirs. You can buy your tickets at the reception as well as leave your coat and bags.

On a per square foot basis, this relatively small museum in the Hague might be the very best art museum in the world. The number of amazing masterpieces from the Dutch is nothing short of stunning. The ability to get close to them is even more wonderful, although people have to abuse this privilege by trying to vandalize the paintings with desserts and other terrible things. From start to finish, we were absolutely stunned by the quality and intimacy of this place. That someone who doesn’t even love art all that much, I fell in love with it.

We were iffy about going here but saw it listed as maybe the top attraction in den Haag we ponied up and I enjoyed the very impressive detail of so many paintings from around 1600s then seeing Rubens and Rembrandt I was able to see what made them different and special - luminescence and stuff so that was interesting. To save walking up the steps there is a lift but the trick is the button is on top of the post outside not on the wall so if you’re looking on the wall you’ll never find the button for the lift.

The Mauritshuis is a beautifully curated museum with an exceptional collection, including several world-famous paintings like Vermeer’s Girl with a Pearl Earring and Rembrandt’s The Anatomy Lesson of Dr. Nicolaes Tulp. The galleries are intimate and thoughtfully arranged, which makes it easy to appreciate each masterpiece up close. However, the museum is quite small, and the ticket price feels a bit high for the amount of time you can comfortably spend inside. Even so, the quality of the artwork and the elegance of the building make it a memorable and worthwhile visit.

We spent a Saturday evening here, 2hours before closing! It was the perfect amount of time we needed for our weekend in The Hague! What a showstopper museum!! Gorgeous building, and the art is just marvellous 🤩 The girl with the pearl earring was just the icing on the cake! The display of the restoration of one of the pieces was very enjoyable! Loved this gallery in elegant former residential home. Came to The Hague to see The Goldfinch, he didn't disappoint! Also The Girl With The Pearl Earring, she was very beautiful. View of Delft was breathtaking. Obviously my phone photos do not do them justice.

Not much to see and the whole palace is quite far from the entrance meaning you won't even get a good photo. The surrounding area with all of the Villas and embassies is much better.

The Peace Palace is not only a beautiful landmark, but also a global symbol. It represents the hope of peace and the idea of true justice — a place where the world should find fairness and equality.

Nice Peace palace. No entry for anyone who doesnt work there, or has one of the few tours inside, booked in advance. -There is a visitor center to the left of the entrance. -There is a "peace flame" monument to the right of the entrance. The monument has a stone from every country in the world and a live flame.

Free admission with a free audio guide on your phone (recommend to bring your own earphones if you prefer not to use theirs). Very informative from origin to different case studies. However, there was no guided tour and we were confined to a rather small exhibition area.

The palace is beautiful, and of importance, worth a quick view. You can only see the building from the outside. There are for now only a few possibilities to enter the building, only a couple of times a year, with a tour. Book in advance. But: at of this moment no tour has been scheduled. The Visitors Center, although the people are friendly and helpful, is not worth a visit. You will not find any interesting pieces of history. And the visiting takes only 2 minutes. In my opinion it could have been so much more interesting. P.s. There are toilets inside, to enter the toilets, you need a 50 cents coin.

Truly very peaceful place The Peace Palace, Hague. The court structure is humongous and picturesque along with vast green lush beautiful garden. Also there are two significant structures; first The Peace tree where people tie peace notes which is an amazing feeling to be able to notice add your own peace note and feel part of world peace and Second a peace memorial fire which has one stone from each country put around it. This is one of a kind experience to be here.

I absolutely loved this place. The simulations were so amazing. I lo ed the historic stories told and the entire set up, is genius. A great place for kids but for adults alike. Its so interesting and there is so much to see, time will pass by and you would have spent almost an entire day. The best time to go is from when they open at 10.

It's a fun place to see the highly detailed miniature Dutch, Amsterdam - cityscapes, buildings, architecture, churches, airports, wind farms, wind mills, Canal systems, functional railway track and different trains running around, traffic vehicles moving on the road, ships, boats moving in the water... It was a fun time.. different big bridges recreated where it feels like a small overpass that you walk on, it's a fun get away

Whatta love place to have meal after a fantastic exploration of the Holland miniature park! I highly recommend this tourist spot in the Netherland, The gardens are beautiful well maintained and well worth it a must to see. Brilliant place I was enjoying every single moment there. Toilets are clean. Staffs are lovely and friendly.

Great experience for adults and kids. Plenty of interactive setups to keep the kids engaged and interested, while admiring the great miniature cities. There are also other experiences scattered within the park. Madurodam was my favorite experience during my entire trip to the Netherlands. I loved exploring the miniature versions of Dutch cities and landmarks. It felt like traveling through the whole country in just a few hours. My favorite parts were steering the ships through the canals, controlling the helicopter, and interacting with the fun exhibits like attracting the fishes. The park is very well designed, with so many details that bring Dutch history, architecture, and culture to life. It’s both educational and entertaining, making it a great place for families, couples, or solo travelers. I would recommend it as one of the first stops for tourists visiting the Netherlands. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. Parking was a little pricey, but that might just be my perspective as a visitor from abroad. Overall, I would definitely like to return and see it again.

Loved it, what a wonderful piece of art, that Is amazing, every zone has its own beauty, moreover nothing is less but plane ✈️ experience inside it is out standing, a must go place to bring you child here. There is also a shall canteen to have some light snacks and a souvenir shop is also there to bring some gifts. Overall a wonderful experience, but remember you must spare enough time to go there because it needs almost half day to complete it properly if you are a detail lover.

highly recommend a visit, there are several machines you can pay to get miniatures out, we got a tulip pin bash and there is a mini mars bar factory that gives you 2 mini mars bars, they take cash and card. we would definitely visit again, came as part of a bus tour and got 1.5hrs and unfortunately wasn’t long enough to see everything in detail, would definitely visit again

The 360 painting mixed with real objects give you such a surreal experience. Spend your time to take a look at the painting. The details on the painting is amazing. We are looking it wasn't busy so we get to really see the whole thing. Personally I do think its worth the 16 just to see this painting. Don't forget there are also other exhibition on ground floor. The place is not big though.

Panorama Mesdag is the largest painting in the Netherlands. The museum's collection includes the works of Mr. and Mrs. Mesdag, both painters. One hall is allocated to temporary exhibitions. The panorama is beautiful and realistic, you feel like you actually live in the 19th century. Definitely recommended.

This is a really interesting art museum. The Panorama painting is vast and the setup where the viewer is in a kind of beach lookout hut which looks out over real sand and beach props which cleverly stretch out to trick the eye into thinking you're shortage actually in the painting for real

This was understated brilliance! There are 3 rooms of paintings by Mesdag and his wife, very good introduction to the artist. Then you head through the dark passage and up the spiral staircase and you gasp at the amazing panorama. It takes you back in time as if you are there. Extraordinary! 🤯

I was a little hesitant at first about coming here leery about the cost being worth it. I worried for nothing as usual - it is an amazing world class work of art.

The day i went i was lucky that there was an ceremony for two new ambassador so i had experienced the march and horse carriage around the palace.

Definitely worth a visit if you have the opportunity, because it's rare to see a palace that is in actual use. Only accessible for a few weeks per year, though, and with limited availability of tickets.

A wonderful experience visiting Palace Noordeinde, the working palace of the Dutch King. It’s a rare treat since the palace is only open to the public for a couple of weeks each year. We loved learning about its rich history and seeing the many beautifully decorated rooms, each with its own official purpose. We bought a combination ticket with the Royal Stables and spent about 3 hours in total exploring both. The audio guide was excellent and really brought the stories to life. Overall, a great afternoon and highly recommended if you get the chance!

Beautiful palace with a lovely architecture. This is the working palace of our king and he opened it to the public during his holidays. A good choice, the palace houses a lot of history. The works of art, various rooms give you a unique glimpse behind the scenes of the Royal House. The Tour is well organised. There are two queues and just in time I could enter. There is a set route and on arrival you can do an audio/video Tour. The audio/video Tour really comes highly recommended. You get a lot of information about the rooms and art. I enjoyed it!

We were so lucky to find tickets as the palace is open to visitors only for a few days during the summer. The entire experience is beautiful and so special! The audio guide which you'll receive at the entrance free of charge is very informative and easy to use. All the staff members were amazing, always smiling and happy to answer any questions. The palace itself is superb and unique, so worth visiting if you get the opportunity!

Beautiful working Palace of the Dutch Royalties. It was a lovely visit with about 20 rooms. The birthplace of Queen Juliana. Worth a visit!

The Noordeinde Palace in the city centre of The Hague is the official residence of the Dutch king and is located near the Binnenhof, the seat of the Dutch parliament.

Incredible service, great, rich flavors, warm atmosphere. Everything to come back for. The pairing between the cheese platter and the port tasting is out of this world!

A lovely restaurant serving delicious small dishes with Asian influence. The portion is perfect for sharing, 3-4 dishes per person would satisfy your appetite. I really enjoy the beef tataki, almost like a deconstructed version of beef satay. The scallop was also cooked perfectly, paired with fresh bechamel sauce. They also have a great selection of wines and the service was top notch! Will definitely come back.

We had a wonderful dining experience at Dekxels. From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel welcome with their warm and attentive service. We ordered the scallop and crab, pork belly, harissa eggplant, curry prawns and tournedos. Every dish we ordered was a delight — beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. The ingredients tasted fresh, and the balance of spices and textures in each plate showed real thought and skill from the kitchen. For dessert we had the cheesecake which was not your typical cheesecake but again very well crafted with a perfect blend of flavors.

Booked here for a meal after a training session for 5 of us. Was explained that the dish sizes were starters and you choose how many you wanted. I went for Eel, beef croquettes and the pork belly. Food was lovely, great service and not too much wait for each course. Pork belly could have been a little hotter but overall a superb experience.

When Service is delivered with care, belief in the product that is being served, good humour and a genuine interest in the customer, and a desire for a perfect mea, then only the food can let down the overall experience ... spoiler alert... the food excelled! Tomas began the groundwork the day before when he squeezed us to get in on a Sunday Night, he built on that initial experience with the nod to our initial banter and then Senna provided the icing on the cake with her delightful attitude, air and professionalism. She made a great night even more perfect. Food - where can I start? When asked which dish I liked the best, I honestly couldn't seperate them. I am convinced that whatever you order... you will enjoy. If you don't, then your tastebuds may need an adjustment...🤣 We have dined in restaurants worldwide and we are both in awe of this Den Haag legend, no wonder it is hard to get in to! My partner and I made a reservation the same night we were going and we have no problem booking a table. Warm welcome when we arrived and they let us choose where we wanted to sit. We went for the 3 course dinner + dessert menu. We choose 6 different options and share them all so we could try as much as possible different plates. I would recommend the cauliflower, tuna tartar and miso eggplant! Really nice and fancy decoration. I felt like it was a very nice environment for a date. They offered us to take a drink on the house because we waited a bit longer than expected to get served, I thought it was very sweet from them. The rest was great, good service, maybe not the best food I have ever eat for the price that we paid but for sure original and different. It felt nice to try new stuff. I loved that they give lollipops with the bill. Never seen that before, it was funny 😂.

My husband came here with his work colleagues a few months ago and sent me pictures and I knew I wanted to visit. We recently went and had an amazing experience. The food was incredible, so delicious, fresh and unique. The presentation is beautiful! The servers were so helpful in explaining each dish and in being aware of my diary allergy. They went above and beyond to make the dining experience one to remember. Highly recommend to everyone!

Overall, I wasn’t particularly impressed. It was an okay experience—pleasant, but not “wow.” The food was good, and the prices were reasonable given the location, atmosphere, and quality of the dishes. Service was decent, though there’s definitely room for improvement. Our waiter was kind and welcoming, and we were greeted with a smile at the entrance. However, the staff member who escorted us to our table came off more like a bouncer—serious and unapproachable. A simple smile would’ve made a big difference. As mentioned, the food was tasty, and the portions were generous. Unfortunately, we did find two long hairs in our dishes, which was off-putting. On a brighter note, the desserts were excellent—definitely the highlight of the meal. The restaurant is accessible with public transportation if you are not willing to worry about a parking. Elevator is available which makes it also accessible for wheelchairs.

I enjoyed a lot the ambiance of this place. It felt so cozy and intimate for a group. Food is great in general..the service was top. I did not get to know the name of the person that served as but he did good service, except we had to wait long for him to come back when we were ready to order.

Great restaurant. Nice variety and able to make many things gluten free. They even offer gluten free bread. We had their specialty steak with seasonal vegetables and it was excellent. The fries were very tasty albeit a bit salty but overall a great meal and h would come back.

This place is really nice, we had a really nice lunch. The meals were ok, not the best but definitively not the worst. I think that is more a place for bringing people around a good beer or more 🙂 What I like the Most is that we feel like the owners and Service are working a lot for people to feel Welcomed and had a nice time.

Gastropub Van Kinsbergen is a really fun and low key place to have dinner. The food is excellent and really well priced. I would especially recommend sitting outside on the terrace which is situated on the prins hendrikplein.

Loved this restaurant for lunch today! We sat in the garden, which had a lovely peaceful atmosphere. Our meals were both delicious, well presented and nicely-sized portions. Loved the beet, chilli and ginger juice as well. Service was faultless. Looking forward to coming here again!

The reputation precedes it! As many have already said, a delicious place for brunch that left me happy with every bite. We had the mushrooms on sourdough with an egg and the croque monsieur, both of which were perfectly cooked. I really had no notes for the food - well prepared dishes and the flavor was also really well considered. I was also impressed by the speed of the service, despite it being very busy when we came for lunch, everything arrived fairly quickly! Highly recommend.

Walter Benedict hosted us for a cozy breakfast on a rainy day. The Eggs Benedict is delicious. The interior design feels very cozy but still polished. Can’t wait to go again.

it was already a favorite for me for Breakfast. their egg benedict with salmon is amazing..... but to ignt we wanted to keep it light and just went for appetizers. THEY WERE amazing!! we had courgette hearts and asparagus, their egg were both little masterpieces both to see as well as the taste combinations. will come again soon!

Considering the reviews we seem to have been the unlucky ones. We booked a table for 5 people for dinner to celebrate a special birthday. Upon arrival, we received a table for 4 with an additional seat at the side, a bit to narrow and not in line with the budget you pay a at this restaurant. We had to wait around 15 minutes before our order was taken, considered we were the last ones and it was pretty quiet, we expected maybe some more customer minded focus. The atmosphere in the restaurant was cosy and quiet. We had to wait more than 70 minutes before our dinner arrived, for 5 people we received a small bowl of fries, 2 additional bowls were promised but were only delivered more than 10 minutes later, which was again very sad considering the prices. The taste of the food was high standard, however the temperature was not, the food was lukewarm. Since it was 9pm30 we continued eating (our bad) and I mentioned the sad event of occasions when they came to clean the table. Instead of a customer minded apology, there was more a defence of that it was too little too late to complain. The restaurant has high potential, but if (and which can happen) you make a mistake, own it and don't go in stupid defence modus without any reason. For a dinner of around 250€ we expected another level of service.

Friendly staff and good vibes, though it can get quite loud inside. The food is fresh. especially loved the rice rolls and papaya salad, both packed with flavor. The curry with gambas, bún, and pork spring rolls were okay, not bad but not excellent. Overall, a nice spot if you’re craving Vietnamese food, with some standout fresh dishes.

This is my all time favorite restaurant in the Netherlands. The ambiance is tranquil even if it’s busy and for the influencers that need content, it’s also aesthetically pleasing. This is my go to restaurant when I want something really good and authentic to eat and the service never disappoints. The drinks are also good. 👌🏾

We sat outside but there was heating so it was nice and warm. The staff were very polite and attentive with positive attitude. Food is great my favourite was the salad with green papaya and shrimps I hadn’t had that before so I was very impressed and loved it!

I have never been to a restaurant as a pregnant woman and got such attentive guidance in making the food pregnancy proof! When making the reservation online, I made the remark that I would like some guidance. It's clear that they have read it. The server and the kitchen staff were very alert and pinpointed the littlest thing that I would like to consider. They also had a ready to choose alternative. I was so impressed. And of course the food was delicious! We sat outside on the heated terrace and had a great time dining there.

Little V is one of my favorite restaurants in The Hague. I have been a client for at least 10 years and I always enjoy coming back. The decoration and atmosphere are great and the food is top quality. I fully recommend it for a great lunch or dinner.

I had the pho here! The broth is very meaty, I think it could do with more spices. Overall not bad but on the pricer side. I wish they served it more hot.
