Beach
Playa de las Américas is a vibrant coastal resort district known for its lively nightclubs and beautiful sandy beaches offering various water sports. For those interested in exploring the culinary history of the Canary Islands, a visit to a restaurant at the luxury Villa Cortes hotel is a must. The renowned chef Diego Schattenhofer creates dishes that reflect the local cuisine, using ingredients sourced from specific locations on the island.
Lovely beach and surrounding areas, lots of shopping malls, some of which are underground, it can get busy with tourists and locals likewise when it’s a hot as everyone flocks to the beach. It’s pretty much catering for the English speaking traveller as lots of food places have familiar restaurants like Indian, Chinese, Italian as well as Spanish food, vegetarian isn’t catered for that well so it’s better to cook for yourself if you are vegetarian as fresh vegetables are in abundance.
Tahira R — Google review
Playa de Las Américas in Tenerife is the perfect spot for sun, fun, and relaxation! The beaches are beautiful with black sand and clear water, great for swimming or just chilling out. There’s a lively vibe with plenty of bars, restaurants, and shops all around. It’s super tourist-friendly and always full of energy. Whether you’re into beach days or nightlife, this place has it all. A great holiday destination you’ll want to come back to!
Patrick T — Google review
Nice for for a walk with plenty of shops nearby. We didn't go on the beach as not into it personally. There were surfers near by in the wavy bits of the sea. Great opportunities to see and take pictures of a sunset. I took some near the surfing area

Nice place to visit plenty of places to eat and drink and a few shops too

Love Las Americas. Always something going on. Always busy with people and a great atmosphere.
Niki — Google review
I wish that it wasn't destroyed by infinite amounts of irrelevant souvenir shops and average restaurants. In the night it looked better but it's a dirty beach and boardwalk.

Playa de las Américas Review Playa de las Américas feels like a second home, with an inviting atmosphere and a vibrant surf scene. The beach offers amazing waves for both beginners and advanced surfers, making it a perfect spot for all skill levels. With beautiful people all around, the fun continues off the beach at the numerous bars and restaurants featuring live music. Having visited three times in two years, I can confidently say it’s a fantastic destination for surf, sun, and good times!

Nature & Parks
Camel Park, nestled in the picturesque town of La Camella in southern Tenerife, is a delightful breeding center that offers visitors an unforgettable experience with camels and other charming farm animals like donkeys, goats, and ducks. Just a short drive from popular resorts such as Los Cristianos and Playa de las Americas, this serene park is set within a lush rural landscape.
Best little zoo you will ever visit! At €10 admission and under 5's free, you don't feel obliged to stay all day to get your money's worth. The massive walk through guinea pig areas are such a draw for kiddies, they get to feed hundreds of guinea pigs. Today there were baby monkeys! So so cute and lots of other birds and animals to look at. Easy to get to from the TF1, refreshingly east on the wallet and genuinely lovely. Sadly no cafe!
Chris H — Google review
Great experience for couples and fanilies, well worth the visit. The ride is 15-20 minutes in a stunning setting. The farm itself seems like a family-run business and people working there are very friendly. You get to feed animals (donkeys, goats, etc.) once the camel tour is done.
Marco B — Google review
Thank you for the amazing experience. The staff are so welcoming, kind and helpful. Our 11 years old loved it as we did. We had the VIp tickets which included sangria and orange drink with a little snack after the ride. I recommend this trip to everyone even babies can do it. Instructions are very clear regarding the animals feeding and yhe rest of the service.
Zsu S — Google review
A wonderful experience with the camel! All animals are kept in very good condition, very clean area, extremely friendly staff! I suggest the VIP package including the picture and the aperitif, their home made sangria is delicious and needed after the ride! Thanks for the wonderful experience!
Andrea C — Google review
Nice experience. The ranch is clean and the animal look like they are well taken care of. Our kids most enjoyed activity was feeding the animals especially the pig and donkeys. There is also a cute little store where you buy the tickets...
Mojca G — Google review
Great day out, great experience almost a 5 star rating but just a bit of confusion about where to go at the end and order the drinks and fruit for the animals. Overall great staff, very friendly and efficient
Basil T — Google review
Loved this experience, taxi out from Adeje costs about 15 euros , coffee shop/bar on site and they will call you a taxi for return journey
Elaine — Google review
Really great day I went as a couple I’m 25 and I really did enjoy it. It’s not just for kids it’s good for Adults aswell. I think it’s great that they rescue these animals and are looking after them. They give you food feed the animals before you get on the camels and also give you refreshments when you get off at the end of the ride. I’d definitely recommend this to others.

Water & Amusement Parks
Aqualand Costa Adeje is an open-air water park complex located in the lively Costa Adeje area of Tenerife. The park features a variety of thrilling slides and tube rides, as well as kids' pools and a dolphinarium where visitors can enjoy dolphin shows. Aqualand offers a perfect mix of adrenaline-pumping adventures and leisurely water-based attractions, catering to families and water enthusiasts of all ages.
It was a great choice for our 8- and 10-year-old girls. It wasn’t crowded at all, even though we visited during the Easter school holiday week in April. The water was a bit colder than we expected, but the sunshine helped a lot. The slides were really good, and we really liked the photo system — professional photographers take pictures of you throughout the park, and you can later view or buy them, including a nice group/family photo. The dolphin show was actually better than the one at Loro Park. It was longer, and they also explained everything in English. Some kids from the audience could even join the show in a very safe and fun way.
Andras L — Google review
Aqualand Costa Adeje is simply amazing! The dolphins are incredible to watch, and the slides are extremely thrilling – perfect for adrenaline lovers. The park is spotless, well-maintained, and very modern, making it a fantastic day out for the whole family. Highly recommended!

Great experience highly recommend! I had a 5 years and a 2 year old and we stayed in the kids area which was perfect for them. WARNING to all parents! Do not go down the slides in the toddler and kid section, it is not designed for adults! I witnessed many people including my wife hurt them selves at after completing the slide!!!! Should probably have a warning or something in place! Apart from that it was amazing!
The S — Google review
We visited with two 11-year-olds and one 12-year-old and had a lot of fun! We really liked that there were no long waiting lines, and the dolphin show was great too. The only downside was that the slides closed before 4:30 p.m. — we would have appreciated being able to stay in the park until 5 p.m. As soon as the dolphin show ended, they started closing everything down.
Mojca G — Google review
Big Q at the entrance but it went fast. Lockers are paying be. We were there with 2 kids, 10y and 13y and it were really fun. What we didn't like were the big Q on rides and security who didn't tell us that our kids were not tall enough for the ride, so we waited 40 min on Q for nothing. And we are not the only one, he did that to others as well. It's good that you can get out and back in to park. Delphine show is AMAZING, definitely don't miss out.
Marina Z — Google review
I really rate this park, it has some decent rides and they allow you to take your own food along unlike other places which is handy. Good selection of rides with minimal queuing. Kids areas were cool and kept the little ones entertained for hours
Darren F — Google review
Very good diversity of rides for all ages. Only one option of food, fast food-3 bags of medium chips 27 euros !!
Catia A — Google review
Great day out and the highlight was the dolphin show. Amazing how well trained they are. I couldn't believe people getting up and leaving during it was very disrespectful and distracting.. otherwise what a show. Kids loved the slides for 5 years old. I would advise bring food to it as its expensive.

San Hô Restaurant is a great place to have a delicious meal. The service is excellent and the portions are quite large. There is also a nice selection of delicious local wines available to drink.
What an incredible experience! We visited San Ho to celebrate my partner's birthday and opted for the tasting menu. From start to finish, both the service and food were exceptional. The team walked us through the menu, explaining how they source ingredients from different Canary Islands. I particularly loved the map provided, showing exactly where each dish’s components came from. Each course felt special. The team not only introduced the dish but also shared its origin and the best way to enjoy it. This was incredibly helpful, as the dishes were so creative, I wouldn’t have known what to expect without their guidance. The attention to detail extended beyond the food itself—everything, including the plates and cutlery, changed throughout the meal, which was a delightful touch. Every dish was my favorite… until the next one came! The entire experience was full of surprises and flavor. We’re already planning to return and try the other set menu. For anyone considering it—don’t hesitate! It’s absolutely worth it.

There are many types of seats to choose from, such as at the large counter where the safe will cook in front of us in the contemporary dining room with 100% panoramic windows or on the beautiful balcony overlooking the garden and the sea. If there is a chance, I would like to come back again.
Api K — Google review
A tricky one. Story of the restaurant was good but not completely true, suppliers & produce being from the regions BUT pigeon is from France, etc, etc. I’m not a big fan of chemicals being used in food to achieve a texture. Seemed like there was a lot of that. Some of the courses were amazing like the cauliflower soup (not a consommé), the tuna was delicious, the first of the pickled dishes was spot on & the dessert. The rest was ok. I understand the work that goes into it as I’m a professional chef too but we also pay for it so that can’t be used as an excuse. Then came the bill. We were charged for a large tasting menu when we were served the small tasting menu. An extra of €40 was charged. For that reason I gave the service a 3 star. Our server was brilliant but you are a Michelin starred restaurant so you can’t afford mistakes like that.
Glen P — Google review
An incredible all round dining experience. Superb food, locally sourced. Excellent descriptions of each course. A 3 hour culinary journey. Very expensive but we came away feeling it was good value for money, taking into account the time, effort and thought that had gone into each of the 14 courses.

We recently had the pleasure of having an amazing evening of both beautiful food and wine at San Ho. The care and precision taken to ensure that every course and wine choice was mind boggling. It was a feast for the eyes, mind and tastbuds.. I would definitely recommend that you visit if you have the opportunity. The sommelier made our evening even better.. his choice of wine, care, descriptions and personality made a fantastic evening even more outstanding. Bravo to the chefs and front of house team. You made us very happy!!

Amazing tasting menu all from local sourced ingredients and was an amazing experience would 100% recommend
Andrew C — Google review
The restaurant brings a very perfect Japanese-inspired fusion kitchen to the table. However, the dishes are very pleasing without too many taste heights. But what is really missing is the soul of the restaurant in the form of a restaurant manager. Such a one was not recognizable. Complaints are also deliberately ignored. So we had a quite burnt brioche, which was cleared after a complaint. On the other hand, no effort was made to find a replacement.
TK — Google review
Food was not up to Michelin star standards. Wague was slightly grilled but entirely raw and slimy, we had to request to leave the heated coals on a table so we can come how we like it. Impressed with the taste of oyster and calamari, which were outstanding.

Seafood restaurant
Bar Restaurante El Cine is a charming port-side eatery located near the harbor in Los Cristianos. It offers stunning views of the beach and water, making it a popular stop for locals and tourists alike. The restaurant prides itself on serving traditional Canarian seafood dishes, such as octopus, sardines, cuttlefish, and chunky hake fillets with papas arrugadas (wrinkled potatoes).
Pretty different from all the other beachside restaurants — this place is a hidden gem. The menu has fewer than 8 dishes, which I see as a plus: they focus on less and do it all really well. The fish was excellent, and so were the tomatoes. We went early (around 6:30) because we had skipped lunch and didn’t have to wait in line — not sure what it’s like later. The staff and owner were super friendly, and they had a highchair for my 1-year-old, which was appreciated.
Nicole M — Google review
A gem in Tenerife! We've been coming to El Cine for three years, and the quality is just as high as the first time. If you love incredibly fresh fish and a simple, no-frills setting, this is the place. The menu is small, with about 10-12 items, but everything is done to perfection. We absolutely loved the fried octopus, fried squid, and grilled cuttlefish. The prices are excellent, and it all pairs perfectly with a cold beer or a glass of fresh white wine. We'll be back every time we visit Tenerife!
Francesca P — Google review
Really enjoyed the food here - Canarian Potatos, Hake, Swordfish and Octopus. Best seafood and canarian potatos we had in Tenerife and highly reccomend a visit. Mojo in bottles really nice touch also. It's a little stashed off with no view but the food is worth every second, also much less tourist visitors its seemed than other restaurants. Service was poor - uninterested and unhelpful. But wouldn't let that get in the way of visiting.
Conor O — Google review
On a friend’s recommendation, we decided to try this restaurant — and we absolutely have to recommend it further! It’s very tucked away, with no advertisements, but totally worth finding! We waited about 20 minutes for a table, so I recommend making a reservation. The menu is short, but there’s something for everyone. Simple dishes, but excellent and fresh. We had the octopus and calamari. As a complimentary starter, they serve bread with butter and a spicy sauce. Our food arrived within about 15 minutes.

El Cine is one of those places you just have to go. The food is pure local goodness: super fresh fish, the best tomato salad, and papas with mojo that are seriously addictive. It’s always packed, but totally worth the wait. No fuss, just great food and that local vibe you can’t fake.

Great spot for quick bite. Very efficient service and good food. Table can't be booked and queue can be long , but it worth a wait and worth every penny. Value for money 🤤 went there twice over 3 days stay

This little seafood spot is tucked away in a tiny alley, but it’s so worth finding! The menu isn’t huge, but everything is super fresh and cooked to perfection. We’ve been here lots of times already and will definitely keep coming back. Both the kids and adults in our family love it!
Yan Z — Google review
The sangria was strong with very little fruit — I wouldn’t recommend it. The décor of the place is questionable, but the food makes up for it 100%. The fish and seafood were absolutely delicious. I recommend trying the grilled octopus. The tomatoes were the best we’ve had in Tenerife.

Restaurant
Zoco - Arabic New Concept Restaurant offers a delightful culinary experience that beautifully blends traditional flavors with modern dining aesthetics. Nestled in the vibrant Shopping Center Passarella, this restaurant is a feast for the senses. Diners can indulge in an array of starters like authentic Arabic bread, crispy falafel, and various hummus options that set the stage for an unforgettable meal. The standout Lamb Shank is rich in spices and paired perfectly with creamy curry and turmeric puree.
The food is extremely good, though portions are somewhat small for the price. Still, being a somewhat higher end place, it's within reason. The atmosphere is great, with very pleasant live music on Thursdays (volume could be a little lower, but it's not awful) The service is also very good, servers are very professional while still being warm and welcoming.

Wow, this place was an absolute gem. The food was tasty, well presented and better than a number of Arab eateries in London. The chef is Michelin level, and the venue itself was nice and easy to find. We had a 3-course meal (without alcohol) and the bill was reasonable at around 125 euros for 2 adults and 2 kids. We were staying outside Costa Adeje but were glad we made the short drive down. It blew my macros, but I’d highly recommend the dessert here :)
Zeeshan M — Google review
Pro's - Nice staff, very helpful and attentive - Decent cocktails (plenty of rum, however way too sweet/syrupy) - The restaurant looks nice - Food was presented/plated nicely Con's - The food itself was a letdown. They add tons of mayonaise/oil/fat to make it more tasty, but the dishes themselves were just not good. Undercooked Samosa's with little, untasty and dry filling, the bao buns just tasted like mayonaise instead of the deep meaty flavor with mango and spice we expected, and the lebanese bread was fried stuff with hummus - again much too fatty. - The waitress did a weird thing where she let us stand outside for a little bit, because she needed to check whether she still had a table for us. She said she put in a good word with the chef and we got a table. However, throughout the night we saw many tables remained empty. That's ok, it was Tuesday night so that's normal, but why pretend to be full when you are not? - We suspect that such 'exclusive' treatment, the high ratings and prices, the presentation and all the mayonaise and sugar, make people overlook the fact that the food is really not that good. There are a lot of places in Tenerife where you can get really good food for much less money. We do not recommend going here.

One of the best restaurants I have visited, the food was unbelievably good, went for the Garlic and Ginger Houmous with 2 different types of bread, then we tried some Kefir Croquettes, we tried the Bao Buns which were very very good and for the mains, I had the Falafel Burger and my boyfriend had the Chicken Skewers. For Dessert we had the Arabic Cake with Pistachio and Yoghurt Ice cream. All of it was great, the atmosphere was good and the service was impeccable. Would definitely recommend and come again.

Amazing - 6 of us including 2 veggie (1 gluten intolerant, 1 egg avoidant) - so much choice. Waiting staff super helpful with gluten free options/ adjustments even though menu isn’t marked up - gluten free bread even comes in its own wrapper and hot! It’s accessed from both the street and the shopping centre.

Located in Los Cristianos, Lucky 7's Bar & Burger Joint is a must-visit spot for food enthusiasts. Open from Wednesday to Sunday, this joint offers a delectable selection of handmade burgers and tasty snacks. Since its establishment in January 2016, Lucky 7's has been known for serving the best burgers in town, made with fresh, high-quality beef sourced from trusted suppliers. The menu boasts unique burger options and an array of sides to complement your meal.
Ever have one of those meals that you just obsess over afterwards? We’ll let me introduce you to your next obsession. This place is the edible equivalent of a mic drop: burgers that are a spiritual experience, fries that whisper “one more won’t hurt,” and a view that makes you question your life choices (in a good way). This might be one of the best double smash burgers I’ve ever had. These aren’t your sad, soggy drive-thru burgers. These are full of flavour and cooked to perfection. Also loved the fact they held together, not falling apart after 2 bites like most others. The dirty fries come loaded like your uncle’s browser history and the chicken tenders were unbelievably fresh. Cannot recommend the food enough at Lucky 7’s! Come hungry, stay for the sunset and leave with sauce on your shirt. Zero regrets. Believe the hype. Rating: 5/5 (Because anything less would be a lie)

This is a hidden gem which rivals the more infamous Dedos on the last American strip. Set high in Los Cristiano's overlooking the sea the food was outstanding and views to be experienced. Nestled by the sea, Sabor Canario Extra is a celebrated dining destination that showcases the rich flavors of Canarian, Spanish, and Mediterranean cuisine. For those looking to indulge in a leisurely meal, there's also a delightful Brunch menu available. This charming eatery is perfect for anyone craving authentic local fare.
I had dinner at Sabor Carnario Extra and had a truly wonderful experience. The food was absolutely delicious, you could tell that every dish was thoughtfully crafted and prepared with great attention to detail. The quality of the ingredients was outstanding, and what impressed me the most was the complexity of the flavors, always perfectly balanced. It’s the perfect blend of traditional and modern cuisine, with dishes that surprise you while staying authentic. The staff was also incredibly kind, always attentive and welcoming. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Tenerife who wants to experience refined local cuisine with an excellent quality-to-price ratio. An experience truly worth having.

Tuna and oysters were lovely, but vegetarian options for my husband were a bit poor. He got a few blocks of cheese, a salad and literally no protein in his meal. This was a bit disappointing as we chose the place, because vegetarian options were mentioned. However the service was amazing, the presentation of the meals was extraordinary, and the deconstructed coffee was probably the best dessert I have ever had in my entire life. So if you are not a vegetarian, and not travelling with one, I would highly recommend it.

Sabor Canario Extra should definitely be on your culinary agenda while visiting Tenerife. You will need a car & good GPS/navigation, and when you arrive it will seem like an unusual residential neighborhood for a restaurant but the sign outside is quite large. From the first welcome smile we received to the last on-the-house taste of Canary Island liqueur specialty, we felt respected and appreciated. But our appreciation for the impeccable service was also in the forefront: we were served with a passion for food, regularly checking our table without being too invasive. The tables are placed well enough apart that enough privacy at each table is assured. There are two rooms: one indoors and the other is outdoors, but covered above with windows and open space in the back towards the direction of the sea. There is quiet, piano lounge-type music playing that is relaxing and chic. The food presentation is artful yet practical, using beautiful ceramics and elegant flatware. The menu is a spectrum of Canary Island as well as Tenerife specialties, all of which can be described in detail by the knowledgeable staff. We tried the Gofio and filo pastry wrapped goat cheese with honey as starters, rabbit stew and grilled octopus mains (probably the best grilled octopus I’ve ever tasted), and a lovely sweet potato ice cream dessert, just one of at least five homemade desserts. The wine list really grabbed my attention: many international wines but you can also order wines from each of the seven Canary Islands, which is indeed a highlight. The house wine is from Tenerife and quite delicious. Our table service was not only savvy regarding the inspired dishes but she also was the restaurant sommelier and wine specialist for the restaurant - what luck! And she spoke fluent Spanish, English & Italian - and who knows how many other languages. I only hope to be able to return to this wonderful establishment again someday. I forgot to take photos of the other gorgeous dishes!

We had a fantastic time here. The food was amazing, the chef and staff were lovely. We really enjoy the local cuisine and this place represents it very well and with high standards. It made it straightaway onto our list of favourite places. Highly recommend to try.

A great find in Silencio ❤️ fantastic food, perfectly presented, the staff are super helpful and knowledgeable about the menus and the wine. We took our 2 children and they had great options for them (even the fussy one) and were really accommodating of them. Would highly recommend 🙌

We had the menu of the chef, we didn’t make a reservation so we were lucky that the menu was available. We had 8 small courses and they were all wonderful. Such fine and fresh taste, it was just delicious. Take it from people who visit fine restaurants regularly, so let’s say we have a high standard. The waiter Fabian is very friendly, also child friendly, he gave us a very passionate intro About each course. The chef came to the table and we congratulated him. We paid 60€ p.p. for the tasting menu (worth it) but the rest on the menu a la carte is really budget friendly. We are definitely going back. Thank you Sabor Canario for our experience.
