Cathedral
Sights & Landmarks
Churches & Cathedrals
The Cathedral of the Transfiguration of the Saviour, located within the Mirozhsky Monastery, is a UNESCO-protected site with 12th-century frescoes that depict a comprehensive biblical narrative. Despite damage from various sources over the centuries, including flooding and whitewashing, about 80% of the Byzantine-style frescoes have been authentically preserved and partially restored. The cathedral stands as a testament to history and artistry in Dnipropetrovsk.
Really blessed place, full of themes from Gospels. The ambiance is very calm and inviting the soul to prayer and contemplation. All the Icons are very artistically excellent, especially the transfiguration.

(Translated by Google) Great cathedral. Amazing architecture. Me and my foreign friends like it. Beautiful outside and inside. And most importantly, if you believe and ask, everything “works”... Nearby is the Mechnikov hospital, many people come here to ask for the healing of sick relatives. I asked too. It’s good that the temple is located in a park, beautiful, quiet and calm, next to tram stop 1.

(Translated by Google) The Great Cathedral is a remarkable place in the city. A little history. Before the revolution of 17, the largest in the city. I remember the stories of history teachers at school: Potemkin was still thinking about it when he decided to build the city of Yekaterinoslav and the Temple should be as large-scale as St. Peter’s Cathedral in Rome. But the beginning of the Turkish War depleted the treasury and as a result the Council turned out to be 6 times smaller than planned. From 1930 to 1988, there were no services in the Temple. There was a paper warehouse for the Zorya publishing house and since 1975 it has been a museum of Religion and Atheism. Now the Temple is active and very visited; especially on Orthodox religious holidays, many people come here. Both the Church and the Cathedral (Oktyabrskaya) Square itself - a historical place in the city, the townspeople are truly proud of and love. It's very nice here. A great place for a leisurely walk.

(Translated by Google) The temple is maintained in good condition. There are not many visitors on a normal day. It is atmospheric and light in the middle, because there are also dark temples in themselves.

(Translated by Google) The main cathedral of the city. The cathedral was built in the classicism style, the first mention of it was in 1787. Interestingly, the first project of this temple envisaged a building larger than St. Paul's Cathedral in Rome, but it did not turn out as expected. Due to the death of Catherine II and her favorite Grigory Potemkin, the project for building the church was revised, and from that time to this day the cathedral has had almost the same appearance. The temple is in excellent condition and happily welcomes believers not only from the Dnieper, but from all over the country (Original)

The huge amount of interesting historical things. This museum can be very popular. BUT: our staff (all bags) we had to leave near the front door. Museum granny workers not so friendly. Almost all descriptions on russian or ukrainian languages. To read something you have to kneel. Font is awfully little. Light not enough. You know, there can play some historical music...

Notable for its unique concrete-built structure resembling a circus tent, this venue is a favorite entertainment spot in Dnipro. Military Museums
The Diorama "Battle for the Dnipro" is a must-visit museum in the heart of Dnipro, Ukraine. It showcases scenes from one of the biggest battles during World War II that occurred on the Eastern Front. History enthusiasts would appreciate their visit, especially with Soviet music playing in the background to create an authentic atmosphere. The museum also features a display of military equipment used during Russia-Ukraine conflict in 2014. English information boards are available for visitors' convenience.
One of the most intresting place to visit in Dnipro. The story of brave soldiers will touch to your heart. Short video Narrated in English also. Its free and worthy to spend some quality time.

Well worth a visit especially as it is virtually in the centre of Dnipro and easy to get to. Our visit was just to see the diorama "Battle of the Dnieper" which was built to commemorate the huge battle that took place in 1943 on the Eastern Front. If you are interested in WW2 history you should enjoy this brief visit especially with the accompanying Soviet music that adds to the atmosphere. Outside this small museum there is also currently a display of some military hardware from the Russia Ukraine conflict of 2014 which was also very interesting. There are some information boards in English.

Sights & Landmarks
Churches & Cathedrals
The Dnepropetrovsk House of Organ and Chamber Music, also known as the factory Nicolas Church, is a stunning neoclassical building with intricate decor. Visitors are captivated by the healing music of the organ and other instruments during concerts. The special Sunday concerts welcome children to participate on stage, creating a unique and inclusive experience for all ages. Despite some initial skepticism from older attendees, visitors find it to be an enjoyable experience in a beautiful setting with rich history and lovely lighting.
I personally think that having such a great place and unique musical instrument as well as opportunity to listen to it in our city makes it must have for people to visit it. But especially I would like to pay attention on one interesting project. Each first Sunday they play a special concert. And the fact that makes it special is it's format. Children of all age are welcome on the stage and around. So moms don't have to bother about their children wandering around and playing with other children and are able to enjoy the performance themselves. But of course be sure your child won't scream or cry louder than musical instruments and music itself. Building is an architectural treasure itself.

People here love organs. The musical kind. Though we got some side eye for being a pack of scruffian kids (most of us around 30) from the primarily geriatric crowd, it was an enjoyable experience in a beautiful building with nice history and lighting.

(Translated by Google) I have been visiting this establishment from time to time for many years. Yes, it is sad to see that the building looks more and more ruined every time 🥲 Even sometimes in the middle you wonder if it is safe to sit under such a beautiful atmospheric and large chandelier. And I also want to note that I tried to call the specified numbers several times the day before to book tickets, but the phones were turned off and no one called back. You can buy tickets on the spot before the concert, which we did. But that might be the reason why people don't want to come here. I gave it a high rating, because it is interesting here, live unique music, artists, a very pleasant host. We want to support this place and to have more visitors, so that people are filled and restored thanks to this music.

Excellent food. Extraordinary salad Caesar with chicken (not a mayonnaise sauce). I hope they will put the beef Wellington back on the menu. Salmon tartare downstairs is delicious and when the river trout is fresh and not overcooked, it's also delicious. Service is not always friendly but quite professional. However, the service at the café / pastry shop is always extremely bad and rude, when you want to buy something to take away.

I rarely write any comments but on this one I had to. I have been to plenty of restaurants in deniper. And I haven’t seen such rudeness from not just one waiter not even two !!. But the rudeness was from the whole workers as if they were cooperating to make sure to let us out of the restaurant. When we entered the waiter said guys it’s Saturday and at 6 pm you have to go out. And whenever we want to order the waiter says this is expensive and you don’t need it !!. We kept calm and requested to order another thing and the answer was you won’t like this dish !!. Even though there are two of us are Ukrainians we asked for a person that could speak English and the answer was we speak ukranians we are in ukraine!!. Are we in a war here or something!!. Our friend requested lemonade juice or mohito and what he said this is not the lemonade season you won’t like it. Briefly i wanted to talk to a supervisor but unfortunately they all cooperated to not to call him. And we went out with canceling everything and went to another Better restaurant. This is my worst experience in my life

Nestled in a trendy warehouse-style setting, Puri Chveni is a must-visit destination for anyone eager to dive into the rich flavors of traditional Georgian cuisine. This bustling eatery is known for its warm hospitality and adherence to age-old culinary customs, making it an authentic experience. Be sure to reserve your table ahead of time, as it's often packed with patrons eager to savor dishes like grilled duck, khachapuri, and eggplant zakaski.
Definitely a place to go in Dnipro! Especially if you never tried Georgian cuisine. Ah… it was so delicious. The only downside- we couldn’t stop ordering and in the end it was very painful to walk :) By the way, they have options for vegetarians, so I felt that I had a lot of options to try. Plus, restaurant stands with Ukraine and Ukrainians, what make it even better 🙏🏼 Madloba 💛

A very pleasant place to eat. Part of a nationwide chain. Good, Georgian food, well served, in a pleasant atmosphere. I have also tried the Kharkiv, branch, and it is comparable. Altogether, a good introduction to Georgian cuisine.

Food reasonably good. I had a lamb kebab which was well cooked with a very nice sauce to go with it. I had to ask what dish might compliment it and was advised to try the potato dish. The service however is atrocious, not from and efficiency perspective but just incredibly unfriendly and I felt it was almost like he was doing me a favour to attend our table..I'd say if he ever smiled, his face would crack. Having read similar reviews, it appears to be the same guy. My advice, if he isn't happy..get a job somewhere else as he is harming the business.
Richard W — Google review
Generally good food, but horrible service. The waiter and the manager were super rude, I don't think they even know how to smile. One of the customers in the restaurant was extremely inappropriate towards my friend at the table and the waiter did nothing, even after we complained. We also got a wrong order and were told if we want to get the right order we have to wait another 40 minutes (and this was said in a very unapologetic way). I mentioned that after service like this I expect a discount. Obviously, no discount was provided. I persisted that I expected some sort of concession, and with poker face the waiter left and came back 10 minutes later with a $2 bottle of wine.

Le Grill, nestled within the Ukrainian supermarket chain Le Silpo, transcends the typical grocery experience by offering a delightful culinary journey. This charming eatery serves up an array of grilled dishes that highlight regional Italian flavors, including freshly made pasta crafted from durum wheat flour and a selection of fine wines. Tourists DON'T go there! Really bad service and especially unpleasant for tourists. If you don't speak the local language watch out. We ordered food without cheese due to heavy lactose intolerance. When the plate with loads of cheese arrived they took it back but insisted on charging it. Sorry, but this is a scam.

The first impression can be misleading. You walk into a perfectly well respected establishment and sit down in a design that is almost as overwhelming as the menu. after some time you start noticing the details.... To me art replicas don't really go well with TV screens that go from Vincent van Gogh to Picasso when you heart skips a beat. The food here tastes like a replica as well. The soul is what's missing in this place... I wish it good fortune
