Incredible, convenient, and wonderful experience at Bagno Maurizio! The rest of the reviews are truly spot on, including the generosity and warm welcome from Stefano. We were a little overwhelmed with the number of beach clubs available in Viareggio and are so happy we found Maurizio. We will definitely be back!!! Highly recommend!
Maybe this is a place where you can trust all the comments. The beach is extremely tidy, the umbrellas and tents are comfy, and most importantly, Stefano and Claudia are such a treasure: you are welcomed with such a warm and friendly attitude, that you know that you will come back for sure. Stefano is around and can help you with everything. He is available on WhatsApp if you need any information. I can just highly recommend choosing Bagno Maurizio. Thanks for everything: Giorgio 😉
This is THE beach club! Stefano and Claudia are incredible hosts. Giving restaurant recommendations, calling for taxis. This isn’t just a business, you are family! Beautiful sea and beach with a variety of options, tents (cabana style) or umbrellas. We enjoyed our three days and will certainly return from our home in Orvieto. This is our Italian beach location.
Stefano and his colleague, whose name I unfortunately don’t know, provided excellent service! I waited about 20 minutes because there were other people ahead of me, but now that I know how great it is, I would gladly wait much longer! I went alone and paid only €10 for an umbrella, one sun lounger, and three chairs! I went out for lunch at 3 PM and came back at 4 PM, no problem at all! The locker cost €4 for the whole day, and I can go back to it as many times as I want — it works with our own fingerprint. Amazing! Highly recommend. A million stars! Thank you!
Maurizio beach is wonderful. Stefano who runs the family business is a lovely person who made us feel very welcome. The beach is exceptionally clean. The facilities are of a very high standard and very good value for money. €25 for two people for the whole day in August.
We were a group of 16 people and we had a really great day at bagno Maurizio. Stefano is the best guy here, friendly, funny and caretaking. The beach is really nice and everything is clean. Thank you for this nice experience.
There are 50more sunbathing places left to right, you can choose any of those. But Stefano and his sister provides “family feel like” service. You gonna come here and you will immediately meet owners. They are gonna greet you like they know you for ages. You gonna feel something very strange: feeling that you belong here, that they have been waiting for you. Even if you sad, their faces will make you immediately smile and they will fulfill your day. Absolutely incredible service, bathing place, toilets and everything else. I will come back here every single time i am in Viareggio. Bars with food and drinks are there as well. Thank you!
Such a great beach! It was very cheap for 2 people compared to other places, and Stefano was super kind and charming. Would definitely come back!

Best place in Viareggio. Beautiful people, good cocktail and nice disco pub. Perfect for enjoy and have fun
I’ve traveled half the world and have never encountered such terrible service, where they actually say “vaffanculo” to you. They keep changing their opening hours and don’t even know when they’re open themselves. I do not recommend this place.
How can a dj be this bad?! (07.08.2025). I‘ve been clubbing for many years in many different countries and this has been the worst experience ever. The location and the crowd is a 10/10 but the music was the biggest mood killer i‘ve ever seen. The Dj has no ability to read the crowd at all. Can‘t recommend
90s party, but there’s No 90s music at all. Is it all right DJ? A little bit expenaive - 10€ beer! Sic! Are we in Scandinavia? ;D
Very good music, club concept but they let every tourist in underaged Aswell …
WORST DJ EVER Potential to be the best club in viareggio, but the music is so bad we had to go early DJ doesn‘t know how to read the crowd
Its tragic they ask entry 20euros 4.26 in the morning 😂😂 They where rude to me and maybe they think Im stupid.....I have been everywhere in the world but first time like this

At first when we purchased the entry ticket (5 Euros per person) we were disappointed to learn the visit was limited to the display of information in the entrance/reception area and shed 16. However, the models etc on display in shed 16 were worth the visit alone.. amazing! Quite incredible to see what has been achieved & definitely worth a visit.
A very nice and interesting place where you could understand the art of Carnival floats building and mechanism. Quiet place. Nice and wellcoming staff
Not the largest museum but interesting nevertheless, especially if you want to get an idea of what the Carnival in Viareggio is like.
I visited here on a Sunday - check the website for opening times as only open until 1pm when I visited. It cost €5 per person. Self guided tour but all information is in Italian and English. Lots of interesting things to look at and it’s well worth visiting hangar 16 at end of the tour to see the old floats / characters and get an idea of the scale. I was lucky enough to see another old float that was being moved - probably for dismantling. Watch out if using the locker, we popped to the cafe before leaving and it was before the 1pm close but they had locked up. Lucky I was able to find someone to open up. I recommend hiring a bike from the Pineta di Ponente and cycling there - €5 for 3 hour bike hire with lock 4 stars just because they locked up early so I couldn’t get to the locker or visit the shop.
The good: it's got some amazing art and so much info about Carnival!!! The staff was friendly and we loved our visit! The bad: the price is just a little high at €5 a head. 25€ for our family of five was just a smidge more than it shod have been. Still worth the visit, but a family rate of €20 would have been more appropriate for how small the museum is. The ugly: this makes me wish we were here in February!!! Now I have to come back to Italy in a few months to see these amazing pieces of art in a parade!!!! 🤣
What an amazing experience. Beautiful animated floats.
Amazing place to view the talent of these artists who make the most fantastic carnival display and characters......really really worth a visit and to support these skills artists. It's the best!
Nice museum and neat to see the old carnevale exhibits, but a little small and a little out of the way to get to.

Newly restored art nouveau villa with lovely mosaics and an interesting photography exhibits of life in early 20th century Viareggio. Great for a visit on a free and easy day, close to the Viareggio pine forest. Free entry.
Beautiful if a little sparse,art/photography exhibition made the visit enjoyable ( free entry) worth going
Beautiful building with lovely old photographs capturing different eras in the area. It's free to visit.
Very nice Villa, unfortunately we didn’t take any pictures, the art exhibition was very nice, the architecture itself is worth the visit
Nice, relaxed villa from the turn of the century, welcoming staff. Occasionally hosts art exhibitions. Small but enjoyable.
Interesting 1920's villa. It needs furniture or a use as a history of its period and that of the town.
Welcoming staff, worth s visit.
Nice small museum. Free entrance. Place for weddings.

One of the beautiful places to see while you are in Viareggio. Try to visit the place during the sunset because the view will be stunning.
Place is quiet dirty and smelly to be honest. The landscape view, with the sea and mountains, is a very pretty on the other hand.

(Translated by Google) ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A culinary surprise with refined flavors and warm hospitality L’Attesa is without a doubt one of the most beautiful dining experiences we had in Tuscany. This restaurant perfectly balances refined gastronomy with a warm, relaxed atmosphere. From the moment you walk in, you feel welcome. The interior is stylish, modern with rustic accents, and the service is professional, friendly, and genuinely interested in your experience. The menu is creative and seasonal, with great attention to detail. We opted for a multi-course surprise menu, and each course was a work of art in itself – both in presentation and taste. The combination of local ingredients, fresh fish, and unique flavor combinations made it an unforgettable experience. The vegetarian options were also original and carefully prepared. The wine list is impressive, and the sommelier recommended perfectly paired wines that elevated each course. The portions are just right: refined, yet sufficient to leave the table feeling satisfied. What truly sets L’Attesa apart is the focus on experience. You can feel the love and care behind the cooking here. For a romantic dinner, a special occasion, or an evening of pure enjoyment: L’Attesa is highly recommended.

And this bronze sculpture by Gionata Francesconi is meant to remind us of the burden of that family life, with wives and children ashore anxiously awaiting the return of the man of the house, whether fisherman or sailor. The modern sculpture (on the long pier in Viareggio) itself is not beautiful, but its meaning is profound and deeply felt. Different type of beach in the Viareggio area. The vegetation is specific to the area you can also see a type of delta micro habitat.Definetly recommended.
Nice "free" beach. Parked our car at Villa borbone (museum) and walked through the woods and the dunes (25min) to get to the beach. Walked to the left and after 2km we found various restaurants where you could drink something or rent a chair and a parasol.
Amazing beach outside the city, little longer walk there, but totaly worth it. Clean quiet beach with lot of space and crystal clear water. But no lavatories or restaurants. Just sand and water.
The allure of tranquility washes over you as you arrive at this hidden gem – a beach boasting a serene atmosphere and soft, inviting sand. It's a welcome escape from the city's hustle and bustle, offering a chance to truly unwind. While parking is plentiful, be prepared for a short walk to reach the shoreline. This adds a touch of adventure to your journey and ensures the beach retains its peaceful charm. Though there aren't any restrooms readily available nearby, the lack of crowds compensates. You'll likely find yourself sharing the vast expanse of sand with just a handful of other beachgoers, seeking solace and a connection with nature. Accommodation options are limited, with only a few beach hotels scattered in the vicinity. This further contributes to the sense of seclusion, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in the tranquility. The water itself is a visual delight. Crystal clear and calm, it beckons you for a refreshing dip. Whether you're an experienced swimmer seeking a peaceful escape or simply looking to wade in the shallows and cool off, this beach caters to all desires. As you explore the shoreline, you'll encounter a unique feature – an abundance of driftwood scattered across the sand. These weathered pieces, sculpted by the sea, add a touch of artistry to the landscape. They become natural companions on your beach walk, offering opportunities for creative inspiration or simply a chance to sit and admire the intricate patterns etched by the tides. And the sand itself – ah, the glorious sand! Soft and fine, it yields to your every step, creating a luxurious sensation beneath your feet. It's the perfect surface for building sandcastles, tracing messages that wash away with the gentle waves, or simply sinking your toes in and letting the worries of the world melt away. This beach provides a complete sensory experience. The gentle lapping of the waves creates a calming soundtrack, while the fresh sea air invigorates your spirit. The visual feast of the clear water, soft sand, and artistic driftwood creates a postcard-perfect scene. For those seeking a quiet escape with a touch of rustic charm, this beach is a hidden treasure. Pack a picnic, bring some water (considering the limited vendors), and prepare to be enveloped by the serenity of this coastal haven.
Very wide, free, clean, nice water, very long beach, came in with a bike it was awesome
Stunning beach! You feel like in paradise 🤩
Beautiful wild beach. It is within a natural reserve, there are no boats near and the water is clean and warm. There is also no trash. Although, u have to walk quite a distance from the car park to the beach.. About 20-25 min and there are no services near. So you have to bring everything with you. And there are no showers. It is 8 mins via car from the train station in viareggio.
Perfect "wild" beach, went on a weekday so not too many people. Absolutely serene, clean and beautiful. It's a short hike from the parking lot - definitely bring your own shadow; if you don't have an umbrella you can manage with bedsheets and string, there's plenty of driftwood to construct something. No services, but loads of beach-sales going on. You can get a cold bottle of water for 1 EUR.

We had a nice lunch here. Great tastes, great staff!
Swimming pool is not included with the umbrella and the shower is with getone. If I could rate this less than 1 star it would be -10. One of their staff is very rude, I WOULDNT RECOMEND THIS PLACE TRY THE NEXT TO IT. We arrive around 5 in the afternoon and we rented three umbrellas one is far they said that there weren't any avaible near the two but when we arrive on the umbrella there are many available near the two we ask to transfer they were saying many reasons that we cant, saying that because of covid rules distnce etc ok we didnt argue and accepted in respect of the rules. The story is still long but shorten. We didnt ask to be seated so we could gather together and chat like their other costumers who were having assembly more than 10people. We have 5 children to look after, Atleast for the children could play together. I didnt like how that man approach us and told us to go back to were we should be. But he didnt even approach the group of people who were assembling and many more. And chose us.
The first time i have bern and the last the Food is disgusting. Uncleand prawns with broiled cozze and pesche. Disgusting. You are Liars dont tell you at entrante that cost does not include pool
We had lunch here and found the menu to be very interesting. The service was very good and so was the food we ordered. An interesting option in the area.
Very friendly staff and delicious food! We've been there for lunch in September on a rainy day (not many people).
Nice , simple and good prices . Very friendly staffs and a good service . Water is much clear than the other side of Viareggio.

We stayed at President hotel and spent two weeks on this beautiful beach. Clean and tidy. Clear water as well. Top quality food and excellent service. Great choice of drinks. Sea food is a must.
highest/fresh quality food, good staff we returned every year❤️
The people who work here are really nice.. Particularly the woman who might be the owner. You can just tell she's a nice person. She just gave off a warm energy. The chairs were in decent shape. The pasta dishes were really good too. Menu had many other delicious sounding options including many salads. Chairs + locker+and towels were better price than other places that I saw. Seemed pretty clean as well.
Hey cyclist! This is a veeery long shot, but here I am taking it. On the afternoon of 18.08, around 1 pm, you came here. You’re a cyclist and you were reading a book in English. I couldn’t manage to say hi before you left (quite early, around 5). You were sitting right here on this very chair! If you are the guy I’m looking for, you might have an idea of who I am. So… hi! 🙂 For everyone else: the place is really nice by the way, you can enjoy the day here!
Early November, most places are closed but its still scorchio! This place is still rocking the beach restaurant vibe and serving up delicious food and drinks with friendly staff. Highly recommend!
10/10 experience. I stupidly booked for the wrong day and it was no trouble at all! The owner I believe moved us to the correct day and was incredibly kind and understanding about it! The facilities are really nice and we spent a lovely day at the beach. The drinks were very reasonably priced and everyone who works here is kind and friendly. We ate at the restaurant for lunch and it was very delicious. I would highly recommend coming here!
We returned back to have a dinner after a couple of years from the first time. The menu is now more sophisticated with good quality but I personally preferred more the familiar attitude there were previously. The view of the sea from the table was amazing.
Bagno Irene were very welcoming & got us a position near the water & waived the locker fee. There was a volleyball net in the water which looked like allot of fun. The water is warm and reasonably shallow for a long way out from shore. The bagno is well kept and facilities are good. Hot showers available using coins but generally only need one or two euros. We didn't have a meal despite all the great reviews but did have drinks & snacks on the beach. Certainly would recommend.

Bistrot Bagno a Pace is a very nice restaurant just in the beach in Viareggio. They offer a real Italian cuisine with very fresh and bio food selection. Sabrina, the owner is always helpful and smiling and very kind to all the clients. The portions are big and the price you pay for all this quality and quantity is the half of what you pay in other restaurants nearby! This place is very requested even by locals so it’s better to make a reservation first. The waiters are also very nice and kind, especially COCO that even in his rush hour, finds the time to take pictures when the clients ask for!
I just spent a wonderful day at Bagno La Pace. This beach club is Peaceful, clean, friendly and a professional operation. My lunch was delicious and fresh. Thank you for a nice day on the seaside.
We stayed for a full day at their beach area. The cost for getting one of those beach umbrella along with beds were around €40 euro for a couple, for the full day, near the sea. If you don’t care about the location of the bed, you can get a cheaper deal (unless everything is booked out of course). Also, if you are there for longer, enquire about weekly rates, which will be cheaper than taking it in on a per day basis. This included a private locker to keep your stuff safely, access to their private shower/toilets and changing rooms. The beach area was one of the most cleanest I’ve seen in Italy!
Lovely beach club. Usually not too busy. Staff was friendly and spoke good English. Food was very good and prices were reasonable.
Beautiful beach club in the heart of Viareggio. Friendly staff, great coffee and clean beach. Well maintained and clean toilet facilities as well. We visited in the off season so the restaurant and pool were closed so couldn't review those.
We stayed on their beach a couple of times and it was really easy to arrange, the cost was reasonable and the staff were very welcoming and friendly. Would highly recommend. The meals can be a little pricey but there is enough choice for a cheaper option. The chips were a particular highlight!
Had a really good day at Bagno La Pace with my wife and daughter. The setup worked perfectly for our family - I spent time with my daughter in the pool while my wife enjoyed the ocean. The staff was helpful and actually upgraded our seating area on the beach, which was a nice surprise. Communication was smooth despite the language barrier - they were patient and made sure we understood everything. Being able to book online ahead of time was clutch. We knew we had our spot secured before showing up, which took away any stress about finding a place on the beach. They were also quick to respond to WhatsApp messages when I had questions. Overall, it's a well-run place that made our beach day easy and enjoyable. Good option if you're traveling with kids since the pool gives you flexibility when the ocean isn't ideal for little ones.
Used because our hotel had a contract with it. They tried to fob us off with 2 directors chairs when our booking slip clearly showed 2 deck chairs. When we asked them to change them, the man changed one for a deckchair and then walked off and stood at a distance watching us to see if we tried to change the other one, which of course we did once he moved. A sunbed was 10 euros extra. At lunch we ordered 2 plates of pasta. The waitress arrived with one smallish plate and when I said no we ordered 2 she came back with an empty plate and spoon and put half on the other plate and charged us 16 euros.

I payed 8 euros to see a modern art Museum. But basically there are 2 rooms with paintings from +/- the 1900, very disappointed.
(Translated by Google) Delightful little enclosure for exhibitions of the highest level both in terms of selection of works and display taste. The choice of themes is never banal or pretentious and even when he talks about "minor" artists he manages to give depth and provide tools for further investigation and reflection, as it was for me, in the past, with regards to Moses Levy, who was practically unknown to me until name exception. One star less than the maximum only for weekdays: opening at 5.30pm... The only criticism: this year the poster, although beautiful, was not significant for the exhibition and the works on display. But go there! You won't be able to regret it.

A bit pricey, but really good service. The dog area is not near the sea, you need to walk 100 meters. A dog bowl and a big piece of cloth to create more shade are provided. With dog you are renting a fenced area with two sunbeds, one chair, and an umbrella. Food is ok, on weekends, they cook huge pizzas. There is a free toilet and changing cabin, along with a paid hot shower.
40 eur for two sunbeds and two dogs in a gated place - has all the amenities you would need. Not satisfied with the restaurant/bar - we were almost the only guests and still we were not served after sitting there for 10 minutes.
Best beach in Italy for dogs and their owners. There is a playground for dogs, a swimming pool and you’ll have your own box. Very friendly and helpfull staff. Will definitely come back next year.
None of the beaches want internationals. We were there to ask for renting beds and umbrellas at the beach. Just Utter rudeness by the lifeguard, asking to get away, and go out. Such small minded people. The staff told to pay rent at the beach and guard tells to just get off and go away and then tells to pay rent at the hotel. Wth, you guys playing with us ??? The lifeguards, they are the worst and rude people. Zero manners. After being at many of other European beaches, this and around, has been the worst.
Very nice, and very clean.
Looks good, all clean (WC, changing rooms, sand on the beach). Normal price in restaurant, private parking, lifeguard preset all the time and really watching for the people in the sea. Reasonable pricing for a spot. Nothing to complain about.
A big surprise....we went for lunch and it was a great choice! Quality of food ingredients and way of cooking very high! Floor staff incredibly skills! Great suggestions of drink to match with food! Quality vs price very very good!!! Please go and enjoy!
The beach is big, and the most important is really clean. There is a restaurant behind the beach, they serve really good food at good prices. The umbrella comes with two chairs and a sunbed at a low price.

The building and the rooms have the charm of an old (manor) house, it was very centric and the host (Antonio) provided excellent recommendations.
Very nice owners, had a very good stay. 5 stars
The oldest building in town in the most ugly area....do something to make better....
Small but clean and sweet place with gently persons near the sea. 👌🏻
Well, it's a tiny fat tower... So not much to see really
Great and friendly place! Thanks

Beautiful quiet place
(Translated by Google) What wonderful walks. Lovely place for walks and photography. The pine forest has thinned out a lot over the years and unfortunately they have never replanted anything. So now there are completely ruined and dried spots. Too bad it really would be a little paradise (Original) Che passeggiate meravigliose.
(Translated by Google) Nice place for walking and relaxing in the middle of nature, it has a length of about 3km and bicycles can be used, I confirm that over the years the pine forest has thinned out a bit, also thanks to management that did not plan to replace fallen or diseased trees. I regret to point out that in some parts of the pine forest there is a lot of accumulated dirt, a fault especially due in summer, when to access one of our most beautiful and wild beaches bathers cross the pine forest and deposit the dirt.
