Made entirely of stone, this Gothic-Renaissance cathedral features 70+ sculpted heads on its facade.

Both inside and outside of the cathedral were impressive. Sunday mass was calming..71 sculpted faces adorning the side of the church was a rare finding for us... sitting down at a coffee shop. Amazing details of the faces...Dome was also magnificent...
Nice cathedral, great work by Juraj Dalmatinac but the 7 euros entrance fee is definitely too high..
Rising from the historic heart of Šibenik, the Cathedral of St. James is more than just a magnificent structure; it is a living testament to human faith, ingenuity, and spirit. This UNESCO World Heritage site is a sublime fusion of Gothic and Renaissance styles, a unique architectural masterpiece that tells a story not just of stone and mortar, but of the souls who shaped it. Crafted entirely from local limestone and marble, the cathedral stands as a tribute to the master builders who, across more than a century, meticulously brought their vision to life. Its most celebrated feature, the frieze of 71 sculpted human faces, each one unique, looks down upon the city with a quiet dignity. These are not merely decorative elements; they are the faces of the people—the merchants, the sailors, the artisans—who lived and breathed in this city, forever immortalized in stone. Each face seems to hold a secret, a memory, a silent prayer echoing through the ages. Inside, the light filters through the magnificent rose window, illuminating the intricate carvings and the hushed sanctity of the space. The absence of traditional building materials like wood or brick gives the interior a pure, almost ethereal quality. It is a space where the past feels palpable, where every arch and every column seems to whisper the names of those who stood there before, seeking solace, celebrating joy, and finding strength. The Cathedral of St. James is not just an architectural marvel; it is the spiritual and cultural anchor of Šibenik. To stand before it is to feel a connection to generations past, to appreciate the profound power of art, and to be reminded that the most enduring legacies are those built not just with hands, but with heart. It is a monument that speaks a universal language of beauty and devotion, a timeless beacon for all who seek inspiration.
One of the cathedrals that is worth the entrance fee (payable in cash). Though small, the baptistery is quite impressive. Outside the cathedral also holds many interesting details to look at. Take the brochure once inside the cathedral to read. Is well laid out information. The cathedral ticket comes with a free visit to Civitas Sacra museum (can skip unless you need find a place to escape the sun).
I visited on a weekday to avoid the larger crowds. The cathedral is one of the most significant and stunning architectural landmarks in Croatia. Since I wasn’t wearing the appropriate clothing (shorts), I chose not to enter out of respect, so I was only able to admire its exterior. Even so, the façade was breathtaking, and I look forward to returning someday to experience the interior as well. For photography enthusiasts, this spot is truly postcard-worthy.
Absolutely stunning, beautiful blend of gothic and renaissance architecture. I reccomend this and for art history lovers, and for people who just like to watch beautiful things. The heads on the fasade are just stunning!
The cathedral & the whole of Šibenik old town are stunning. Get there early or stay late to avoid the crowds. You won't regret it
The must see in the cathedral is the small baptistery with carved ceiling. The 7€ entrance fee does also include the museum in a separate location. Unfortunately I didn’t have time to visit, so the fee is quite high. They only take cash too. They do provide a brochure in multiple languages so that you can do a self-guided tour, which is much better than many other cathedrals.

If you ever come to Šibenik, you must visit the St. Michael's Fortress, absolutely awesome fortress above the old city with amazing views and of course great photo opportunities. The fortress has an open air theater and I wish to come back to enjoy one of the concerts during the summer season. Highly recommend to visit.
There is not much to it as it's been modernised to make it more into a venue, I am sure it makes for a stunning venue for a close and personal performance and I would 100% go to an event here. But as a tourist location it really only offers a couple of nice views.
St. Michael’s Fortress offers breathtaking views over Šibenik, the sea, and nearby islands. The climb is well worth it, and the historic center below is full of charm with stone streets, lively squares, and beautiful architecture. Together they make a perfect mix of history, culture, and scenery.
To be honest, the fact that this fortress has 9,000 reviews while the other two (Barone and Ivana) have just a fraction of that, I can only explain by remembering the lady selling the tickets. She was incredibly helpful, spoke perfect English, recommended other places to visit, and even helped us figure out how to get back to Vodice. As for the fortress itself, as a Czech, I didn’t find it particularly impressive. It’s nice, but I went through it in about 15 minutes, and realistically, I think it’s more of a top spot for a festival than a serious sightseeing destination. That said, for people who don’t plan to hike to the other two more interesting fortresses, this one is certainly satisfying enough.
We bought the three-site ticket, which lets you explore Barone Fortress, St. John’s, and St. Michael’s. Each one is absolutely worth a visit if you want to dive into the fascinating history of Šibenik. My tip: start with Barone and St. John’s to get a feel for the city’s defenses, and then head up to St. Michael’s. From there, the views are stunning, and with so many restaurants nearby, it’s the perfect spot to slow down, enjoy a meal, and let the day fade out in true Dalmatian style.
I was at Roisin Murphy's concert here. The view from above is stunning. During the summer, you can attend concerts in the evening or visit the fortress during the day.
Wonderful view. Cozy concert venue. Nice souvenirs. Excellent toilets. Will be happy to come back again.
You can't even go to teh viewpoint because the gates to pay are not even near the fortress. So you need to pay for the view which is not even at the fortress area.

This evening we dined with our family at Restaurant Ethno Village, and what an unforgettable experience it was! Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed in an authentic, charming setting that feels like stepping into an old village. The ambiance is unique and instantly inviting. The staff deserves huge praise: they were incredibly friendly and attentive. We were offered an aperitif, and because it was busy and our food took a bit longer, they surprised us with a delicious starter. That kind of hospitality is rare! We ordered the “Gourmet Octopus,” “Grilled Sea Bream,” “Lamb Chops,” and “Duck Breast.” Every dish was a true flavor explosion, leaving us with tastes we won’t soon forget. The “Duck Breast” was perfectly prepared, with a flavorful, thick layer of fat that elevated the dish to another level. My son raved about the “Lamb Chops,” which were bursting with flavor thanks to a mix of herbs and delicious sauces. The “Grilled Sea Bream” came with an irresistible sauce that I mopped up with the fresh bread until the last drop. The “Gourmet Octopus” was equally surprising and refined. All our plates went back to the kitchen completely empty! What makes Ethno Village special is their boldness in experimenting with herbs and flavors. This isn’t your average restaurant; here, you taste passion for food and care for the guests. The combinations are original and surprising, exactly what you hope for in a culinary experience. We will definitely be back and recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves exceptional food in a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Thank you for an amazing evening!
We were there during lunch time and not in the main season. We sat between these beautiful old houses under the trees in the courtyard almost by ourselves. The atmosphere is out of this world and feel like you a brought back in time. The menu had everything you could hope for and a great local wine selection. We shared a meat and cheese variation which was amazing combined with some wine. The waiter was very friendly and attentive. I could literally eat there every day. What a great experience!
We had such a lovely experience at Dalmatian Ethno village. As soon as you walk in the scenery is gorgeous and well looked after. All of the staff there are friendly and attentive they couldn’t do more for you. Our waiter for the evening was Franko and he was very welcoming, attentive, informative with excellent and friendly service throughout . I highly recommend the food especially the exotic mousse for dessert. It’s definitely a must visit for an evening meal!
How can you top this place!!! Unbelievable and the best food, experience and the most amazing nights we have had in Croatia! Sanja provided the best service and the entire village is such an experience you have to come here! Book ahead and you wont be disappointed.
‼️Unfortunately, there’s no option to give 6 stars ‼️ Because if there were AMADRIA PARK, specifically DALMATIAN ETHNO VILLAGE, would deserve a seventh ⭐ Honestly, there is no place in Croatia or the world that has recreated the authentic Dalmatian spirit with such perfection. Not a single stone is out of place, not one shutter is off, not a single flower or olive tree is growing where it shouldn’t. Every detail is pure poetry of the Mediterranean 🌿⛪ You’re not visiting a theme park you’re stepping into a living, breathing postcard of old Dalmatia. The kind our grandparents lived in, and the kind we all secretly long for. This isn’t decoration this is emotion, heritage, and soul. If UNESCO hasn’t heard of this yet, someone needs to send them the pin 📍 And the food? A dream. Special mention to the white veal so tender it melts like a memory passed down in a family recipe. Every bite tells a story 🍽️❤️ Bravo AMADRIA PARK. This isn’t a resort. It’s a feeling.
My recent visit to this restaurant was, unfortunately, a deeply deeply disappointing experience, easily the worst dining outing I've had in years. The prices were exorbitantly high, completely unjustified by the quality of the food, which was terrible. Even the salad was a complete letdown, with cucumbers that were far from fresh, tasting stale and limp. The risotto with shrimp was equally poor, as the shrimp were of shockingly low quality, lacking flavor and texture. The beetroot risotto was just uncooked and bland and even a decent amount of salt and pepper couldnt revive it. Worst of all was the fish soup, which was watery, tasteless, and had no discernible trace of fish. Overall, the food was beyond bland and poorly prepared, making this an experience I’d rather forget. I cannot recommend this place to anyone seeking a decent meal. On the plus, the staff were nice and friendly and the wine was good.
I came back to this restaurant after a year, and it was just as amazing as I remembered. The quality, taste, and presentation of the food are still outstanding, and the atmosphere feels warm and welcoming. It’s rare to find a place that keeps such high standards over time, but this one truly does. The staff are friendly and attentive, making the whole experience even more enjoyable. Highly recommend — one of the best spots I’ve been to, and I’ll definitely keep coming back
Unforgettable experience. It was one of the best restaurants we’ve been to. Paško was serving us and we were extremely happy with our night. First thing is the place which is arranged with so much taste, the flowers and stones fit together perfectly. It’s very cohesive and rustic. Paško knew everything about the dishes, recommended excellent wine. We ordered cheese of choice and the experience was fantastic. The waiter cut cheese next to us and told us everything about each of them. The fish we ordered were fresh and very delicate. The whole vibe and amazing service are unmatched. Definitely recommend. If Paško would be your waiters you will have a great night. Can’t wait to visit it again.

Šibenik is like, totally stunning! The history's, like, everywhere, with these awesome fortresses—St. Michael's and that UNESCO place, the Cathedral of St. James—showing off its past. The old town? It's just a maze of cute streets, perfect for wandering around. And the food? OMG, the food scene is poppin'! I had some seriously delish fresh seafood and, like, real traditional Dalmatian stuff at Konoba Centar. And the local wines? Defo try 'em! Seriously, a must-visit if you're ever in Croatia. 10/10 would recommend!"
The city hall is located on the main square, opposite of the cathedral. It is an historical building with a beautiful architecture. It is best enjoyed as a whole with its surrounding.
Day&night- absolutely the best spot to sit a do people watching.🙂 Aside that, fascinating building with so much history behind. Make sure you read a little bit before indulging the view.
Lovely historical building with fantastic facade, great central location, has restaurant on ground floor providing meals, drinks and snacks on the front patio outside with shade umbrellas on sunny days. Very very busy during summer peak time as its location, accross Sv Jakobs cathedral, is the focus of tourist interest. Havent made it inside, but sure there is much more to it .
The City Hall is located directly opposite the entrance to St. James Cathedral. The problem is that it looks more like a restaurant than a historical monument. Nevertheless, it is considered one of the most beautiful town halls in Croatia. It is decorated with 10 pillars topped by a cornice decorated with stone lions and floral ornaments. There is also a typical Renaissance porch. Stairs are adjoined on both sides. The City Hall was somewhat damaged during the Second World War, but it has been restored to its original form.
Šibenik is a historic city in Dalmatia where the river Krka flows into the Adriatic Sea. It is educational, industrial and tourist center and the third largest city in Dalmatia. In the city of Šibenik there are four fortresses, each of which has views of the city, sea and nearby islands. The fortresses are now tourist sightseeing destinations. St. Nicholas Fortress is located on the island at the entrance of Šibenik Channel. It is included in UNESCO 's World Heritage Site list. St. Michael's Fortress is in historic town centre. There ara and St. John Fortress and Barone Fortress. The Kornati archipelago, west of Šibenik, consists of 150 islands making it the densest archipelago in the Mediterranean Sea. City hall is running along one side of the square opposite the Cathedral, this 16th-century. The beautifully proportioned colonnaded loggia now houses the restaurant, and also forms the backdrop to many of the events comprising the annual Šibenik Children’s Festival.
Perfect and lovely place! Very nice to walk, drink or eat something! Just go!
They gave us a penalty for being 3 minutes late to our car after we had already paid twice(on parking ticked and an extension after). This was done while other local cars had no permits visible.

Nice and calm place in the centre of the city with good food if you want a frsh snack, and very friendly service. Coffee for €2.20 is also not overpriced, like in many other places in town.
A cute place with drinks and food for a zen rest after wandering the city streets with a view of the medieval garden of St. Lawrence full of medicinal plants and herbs with a little fountain in the middle. Drinks may be also enjoyed at small tables in the shade in the middle of the garden. Regardless of the location, the prices are normal.
Beautiful setting. Took us an hour to get our very simple lunch. Gnocci was great. Grilled vegetable was bad, swimming in oil. (Side note: Germans on table behind us did not order food but started eating their own cookies. Shame on them!)
Perfect little spot for a great cup of coffee and delicious meals! ☺️ We had an amazing time not only touring the garden itself, but also enjoying the authentic atmosphere. If you're in Šibenik, I would definitely recommend visiting this place.
The garden is really sweet, a nice place to relax a bit under shadowing trees. The resturant is fitted nicely in the entrance of the garden and the staff friendly. Food is quite alright, but skip the smoothies. Simply lukewarm water with hardly any trace of the ingredients. Can't tell if it was a misshap or not, but not whort the 5.6 euros I paid. Recommend a visit though, the surroundings are charming, such a nice quiet place to eat and drink something a short way from busy streets.
Absolutely delicious lunch in the aromatic garden. Very attentive staff, very well prepared and wine paired food. Highly recommend this place for a long lazy lunch
What a wonderful spot to stop and have a drink or food - we just had drinks which were tasty and reasonably priced with nice service. A great experience
Great little find, away from the tourist stampede, great wine and great food! Lovely atmosphere.

Exellent place to spend 30-45 minutes with kids. Reasonably priced enterpreneurship (comparing to rip-off pricing at St Michaels castle), with taste of simple family approach. Most of reptiles (even fishes) have their own Name. Some of lizards and fishes are very communicable and willingly approaching for a contact. Kid's smile is priceless! Bravo!
The animals were all beautiful, most very interesting, but the aquarium itself is very small than we expected, we went through it all in less than 10 minutes. No glory, but when you are around you need to have kids to visit 🙌💁
It is very small place, but could be interesting for kids. Especially that it is only one this type of attraction in this area. Our 4-years old son was glad. For us it was very short rest (15 minutes) from sun, but it was also interesting to see some fish, snakes and lizards. But do not expect zoo, the number of animals is very little :).
Small place with a few species. Fun was the fact that almost all the animals had there own names.
It's not bad if you like fish, lizards, spiders and so on. But for somebody else it could be only expensive short walk.
They let us off the full price and its small but really good. We'll worth a look.
it's nice and interesting, just very small and after 30 minutes you see everything 2 times.
Not bad, but you can finish it in 5 minutes. Probably the smallest aquarium I have ever been to :)

Went to the indoor aquapark. The place is amazing. All the floors are heated, covered with some kind of ruubber foam in the pool areas so it is not slippery. 2 level dry playroom for kids above 3yo. Restaurant and caffee. The only thing lacking inside is a swimming pool. Since there is none, people swim in the lazy river
It is a great water park for kids and grown ups. The outer part is huge and versatile. The kid loved the sliders and I found them very cool. My favorite was the Lazy River. I could float forever.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Give this review a thumbs up if you found it helpful 👍 Prices are not too high compared to what you usually expect in water or amusement parks – everything feels fair. There’s a great selection of food, ice creams, sunscreen and kids’ toys at the kiosks. The gym here really surprised me – it’s honestly one of the best I’ve ever seen in a water park or hotel: brand-new equipment, everything spotless, and it even smells like new. The waterslides are a lot of fun and the Lazy River is perfect for relaxing. The whole park is very clean, toilets are spotless, and hygiene is clearly a top priority. Overall, a really well-kept and enjoyable place – highly recommend!
A wonderful place for a family day out! I really enjoyed this water park, and the kids were absolutely thrilled. Everything was very clean, there were plenty of slides, and no smell of chlorine at all. The staff constantly kept the area tidy and clean. There’s convenient parking and a decent snack bar with hot dogs, fries, and burgers. A ticket for our family of four cost €140. The only small issue was finding a sunbed in the shade — not so easy later in the day. Luckily, we managed to find one without much trouble, so maybe we were just lucky. I believe if you arrive in the morning, you won’t have any problems finding a spot in the shade.
The price of the park is extremely high – €40 per person. On top of that, you have to pay for parking, which is also very expensive. You even need to pay for sunbeds. Food and drinks inside the park are also ridiculously overpriced. The cheapest option is a hot dog for €8 – and that’s without anything on the side. A small portion of fries with a small hamburger costs nearly €20 per person. That said, it is a beautiful park, and the pools are clean.
quite high price....but overall nice...for a whole day it's worth the money...but there are a few things that the administration of this complex should probably rectify...very few staff who speak another language besides the national languages...let's keep in mind that there are a lot of foreign tourists...I understand the notion of cleanliness but it's not good sense to go with a broom to pick up all the dust from below that settles on food placed on a counter for pick-up...
Great closed pool for smaller children, even for sunny days or windy weather. A bit poor choice of food for snacks. Prices ok regarding it's watter attraction site.
1) This place was much, much too tame for my 12 and 15 year old girls. The slides are aimed at under tens and definitely not even for only slightly adventurous dads. The Lazy River could be better called The Stationary Canal. Their website doesn't really make that clear. If it had I wouldn't have booked. So now you know what to expect. It's why I only gave the place 3 stars. Judging by the amount of happy toddlers and small children though I can recommend it if you do have children under 10. There are indoor and outdoor slides and attractions depending on the weather and time of year. My children thought it was expensive at 40 euros/person. There are some other indoor 'wellness' and 'fitness' features that I was not interested in given I was there for my children. 2) The cheeseburger meal from the outside 'Fast Food Splash' restaurant was superb! The burger was perfectly cooked, fat and tasty and way above what I was expecting! Better than many 'proper' restaurants. Given what I got I was pleased with the price too. 3) I bought the tickets in advance online. The payment site debited my card but then said it couldn't process the payment and didn't send any email. Fortunately this was sorted in seconds on arrival by courteous staff. 4) Signs. It needs more signs to guide the day visitor. It's the only place of its type I've ever seen that doesn't have a huge colourful welcome sign at the open entrance. It's almost like they want you to be confused or uncertain! 5) When you finally get to the turnstile entrance to the waterpark they have nice yellow signs at knee height telling you which sensor/gate combination to use with your wristband entry key. However they are too low for the average adult to spot them when you are in front of the gate so you can use up your one entry with the wristband trying to open the wrong gate! I can't be the only one that stupid! 6) The place is very clean and tidy. Safety is clearly a priority. Everything is in good condition and there are plenty of staff. It wasn't very full on a weekday in mid June so I didn't really need to book online. Might be different during Croatian school holidays.

There is sldo a coffe place, souvenore shop and a toilet. Nice place go visit with your family or big groups. Sinage is good , just follow the road signs to find it.
Amazing experience! Being around such extraordinary animals. Peaceful and beautiful estate where sick birds are treated. Just ❤️ beautiful
An absolute highlight! Our visit to the Falconry Center was incredible. The guide (a true expert!) shared fascinating facts about owls and their behavior, captivating our entire family. So informative and incredibly family-friendly. A must-visit for anyone in Croatia!
The place impresses with the amount of love the personnel have to the unfortunate birds. Open for public during the weekends. Try to catch the hourly show for a lot of fun and education!
Great place, you can learn a lot about birds held in the centre. Guides have great experience and a talent for storytelling. Easy access, big parking under the trees available. There is also a small cafe on site. Most importantly, each visit helps to fund rescuing injured birds.
This place was one of my favorite excursions from our cruise. If you like nature at all you should make a visit. The guide/host clearly loves birds and was very funny and engaging.
Great place to visit. Very informative talk and demonstration. Family friendly. Wonderful to see how they are caring for birds who can't be released to wild. Bonus great coffee and clean free toilets!
An amazing experience. The falconer dedicated so much time to explain everything in Croatian and English even for a small group of people. We also got to take hold the birds and the photos with them. The staff was friendly and there were handmade souvenirs. All perfect!

Small family run winery producing Dalmatian style wines in small batches. Stopped in and shared a five flight wine tasting and Dalmatian platter, both were more than sufficient to share between two. The prices aren’t low for either, but both the wines (which are 12-15 € a bottle) and the food are delicious. Our host was one of the brothers, and he was very welcoming and knowledgeable. We felt like we were being welcomed at home. Definitely worth a visit if you’re anywhere nearby.
✨ A Truly Unforgettable Family Wine Experience ✨ From the moment I arrived, I felt like I was being welcomed home. This wasn’t just a wine tasting—it was a warm embrace of tradition, hospitality, and genuine care. The winemaker himself poured each glass, sharing his passion and stories with such authenticity that every sip felt special. We were treated to an exquisite spread of homemade cheese, melt-in-your-mouth prosciutto, and fresh, warm bread straight from the oven—each bite perfectly complementing the beautiful wines. The atmosphere was relaxed yet full of heart, making it feel less like a visit and more like spending time with dear friends. This experience was more than tasting wine—it was tasting love, heritage, and the joy of sharing. 🍷❤️
A hidden gem outside Sibinek, Rak Winery is a beautiful setting with absolutely fantastic wines to try. If you are visiting the area, highly recommend calling for a tasting. We visited with our two kids aged 5 and 3, and no issue with kids being there, lots of space for them to wonder.
We had a beautiful time at Rak Winery—an authentic Dalmatian experience rooted in four generations of tradition. Ante gave us a stellar welcome and guided us through a memorable wine tasting. We enjoyed delicious homemade prosciutto, warm house-baked bread, and green olives from their own grove, with a charming story about their origin. Their Debit Bone wine stood out as an absolute favorite—crisp, balanced, and perfect for any occasion. If you’re exploring the Šibenik region, this is a must-stop. Rak Winery blends family warmth, local flavor, and deep heritage in every glass!
I recently visited the Rak Winery in Croatia and had a wonderful experience. The food was outstanding, especially the platters with homemade prosciutto and various cheeses – everything was delicious. The quality of their wines was exceptional – light and perfect for the Croatian atmosphere. What stood out the most, however, was the service. The gentleman who served us was absolutely fantastic – he shared insights about the wines, allowed us to explore the tasting at our own pace, ensured everything was perfect, and even told us about local traditions. It was a thoroughly enjoyable visit!
Had two really lovely evenings enjoying wine and traditional Croatian food. Andreas and his brother were incredibly welcoming and happy to sit and chat with us about their wines, Croatia, and share some great banter. Would highly recommend a visit to anyone in the area. Thanks, Rak Winery!
Super enjoyable experience! The wines were excellent, paired beautifully with a delicious food platter. Our host was welcoming and friendly, making us feel right at home. A charming small, family-run winery – highly recommended.
I had a fantastic visit to Rak Winery! The setting is beautiful, with a warm and welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. The wine selection was excellent — smooth, flavorful, and clearly made with care. What really stood out was the staff: incredibly friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable, always ready to share insight and make great recommendations. If you’re in the area and love wine, do not miss this place. A truly memorable experience!

Nice hike around the area, we went to the underwater tunnel, then back the other way. We couldn't get into the fort, it was closed.
Beautiful walk and scenery from land. Not sure why it is not built a trail all the way. Would be nice to get there without boat.
Beautiful fortress built by Venetians located at the entrance to the Šibenik bay/outlet of Krka River to the Adriatic Sea. Entering the fortress is only allowed via guided boat tours during renovation works. However you can walk right towards the fortress from the south eastern side e.g. starting at St. Nicholas beach.
Lovely area with walks to one side of the bay to the tourist centre, while the other direction takes you to a cool wooden walkway across the water to the island and the fortress
An interesting place and worth a visit for the fort and for the nice walks in the area. The disappointment with the fort is that entry is barred. There used to be a stone causeway leading from the small island, but this has washed away. However, the water is only about 300mm deep, so it's a quick and easy walk across if you don't mind wet feet. There is still scaffolding in place where you would once have been able to get into the fort through a hole in the wall, originally intended as a gun port. Sadly, this hole has been blocked up.
The wonderful boat trip to the Fort is packed with interesting information from our very lovely guide Daniel 🤩
Really lovely, especially during the sunrise.
Looking from the outside is possible, but actually you can't get more. See my photo for details.

11.50 to enter. Spend 1.50 more for pass to all three fortresses. There is a cafe serving up drinks only, which is needed after the climb up. A combination of stairs and a road. But doable for anyone. Nice views of the city.
There is nothing to see inside. You have only the views. The ticket is 11.50eur, considering the price, It's not worth the visit as there is nothing to do more than a view. They charge on every single tourist spot in Croacia, even parks and it's very pricy. I understand that conservation is important but they go to far with tourist
Listen up, folks – it’s a hell of a hike, but it’s totally worth it. The view is the second best (Ivanovova > Barone > Michaels), and there’s also a spot to grab a dessert, a coffee, or just cool off a bit. Kids will have fun too. That said, I still managed to walk through the entire fortress in about 10 minutes. I highly recommend bringing a bottle of water and an extra pair of legs.
Amazing view over the city and other fortresses. Nice caffe bar and friendly staff. Coffee tasted great, and hot chocolate as well. Clean restrooms. We came here on a Sunday and had no wait for buying tickets.
Nice view of Sibenic. Very small. There is not much to see, except for the view. There is no museum or exhibition. You can do it in 10 min. There is a nice coffee bar and toilets.
READ CAREFULLY: I really don't understand the negative reviews. The fortress is not just about the view — which, by the way, is beautiful — but also offers a much deeper experience. If people took a moment to read, they'd realize that the ticket includes a free AR (augmented reality) experience using tablets provided on-site. These explain the history in a fun and interactive way, with lots of interesting facts. It’s a very pleasant place to visit, and there’s free parking available, which is a big plus. Tip: Get the family ticket or, for just €1.50 more, the combined ticket for all three fortresses — the other sites also offer great experiences. People should really inform themselves better before leaving bad reviews.
Nice view from both fortresses - Saint John's and Barone. 5 minutes walking distance Parking possible ar Barone fortress. Family ticket available. Considered as "must visit" when in Šibenik.
Great place to visit if you are near Šibenik. Very nice and friendly staff, comfortable cafe just inside the place with local brewery. Don't forget to take an interactive augmented reality tour and listen to the history of the place, it's quite creative. The view from the place is amazing. You can see both the seaside and the city. Parking for the visitors is free and right near the fortress walls, but be careful driving uphill - the road is a bit stiff and narrow, some cars might be moving in the opposite direction at the same time

Nice view a lovely church ⛪️
Beautiful but closed church as many other remarks it has a rich history
Lovely church facade but the interior to church is closed (September 2024). According to lady with jewellery stall outside the main door, the church never opens. An older local gentleman told me it was closed too, and he’d only seen inside twice in his life!
A beautiful church in the heart of the city center.
Beautiful. A must see if you are in Sibenik.
Its a church what else is there to say.
(Translated by Google) A nice and very interesting church from the outside with four bells, which when rung, have something special about them. It is part of old Šibenik, which is a really nice town with a tangle of old narrow streets. (Original) Hezký a zvenčí velice zajímavý kostelík se čtyřmi zvony, které když se rozezvučí, má to něco do sebe. Je součástí starého Šibeniku, který je opravdu moc hezké město se spletí starých úzkých uliček.

An amazingly beautiful garden maintained by local High school children. A very popular garden that you mat pass on your way up to the Fort of St Michael. Beautifully laid out and maintained with stunningly beautiful standard roses and bright flowers together with herbs, a must see garden.
Small, but most beautiful. Lots of different plants and insects. We didn't need to pay anything in late September, but maybe they haven't notice us or something.
Few years ago this place was avaliable for visiting tourists with nice restaurant beside. Now the city signs guide you to see this place while you are unable to visit this great garden because it is a part of the restaurant. You have to order to enter the monument. I understand and wish to pay a ticket for taking care of this place but forcing anyone who wants to see this place to cash a restaurant seems the most stupid think in whole city. Therefore there was so few customers and so many bored waiters.
The area belongs to a restaurant and to be able to enter, you have to buy something (everything on the menu is expensive for no reason). Most of the plants in the garden have died from the heat. There were some fish, which lived in terrible conditions- they only had a small fountain as a home and were obviously sick. There was nothing there that was extraordinary that would have made the visit worth it.
I’d love to say what I think about that but actually to enter inside the terrace and the garden is not possible anymore. Right now there is a restaurant and apparently it’s all theirs. Therefore to see something you have to buy there, and be a customer. Bad experience for me.
Wonderful little place!
Beautiful!! Architecture is mesmerizing and the surrounding area looks good as well.
We need to take coffee or to pay 3euros to see it... very small. No interest

Amazing view in front of the entrance. I think this fortress is the best among three fortresses (Barone, St. John's, St.Michael). I truly recommend to visit this place just before sunset. Entrance fee is 11.5 euros for adults, including entrance to Barone fortress. But you can visit three fortresses for 13 euros. There are also a large free parking lot.
“They don’t know me, son! Who’s gonna carry the boats and the logs?” – that’s what was running through my head in the last few meters. This fortress has the fewest reviews of all, yet it’s the nicest, biggest, most interesting, and has the best view. I highly recommend it to anyone who loves hikes, views, and history.

Amazing views from the fortress and very cool to walk around. Worth a visit for sure.
Very good, although it's quite far, but the view is incredible and the entrance is free.
Well worth getting the combined ticket for 3 forts. Absolutely worth €13 for the views alone
St. John's fortress was made in the 17th century and in combination with the Barone fortress repelled the Ottoman attacks on Sibenik. Historically significant and with beautiful views it's a must visit place in Sibenik. Along with St. Mihovil fortress and the Cathedral.
Great views and everything, but there was completely no effort made in making this place accessible for people with low mobility. No signage, no wheelchair access, steep and busted up road/path, gravel everywhere.

Nice shopping mall. But dont have much resto inside.
HAPPYLAND Dalmare - Since it's impossible to put a review directly on Happyland and I've figured out why that is, I'm writing the review here. If you want staff to treat you and your kids like trash then I recommend you visit.
weird but fun excusion to the croatian mall, some nice stores, others really confusing
Medium sized shopping mall with cinema, supermarket and large Pevex. Good gym that is open 24/7. Free parking
The shopping mall is big and it has a lot of shops, restaurant and even a movie theater. Even though everything looks in good condition, the floor tiles and some of the lighting fixtures are starting to look outdated.
Super small… barely any shops… was expecting much more based off reviews
Brilliant place , got what you need, all under one roof.
This shopping mall has basically everything what you need SIM card for internet(telecom) pharmacy DM... The baby room could be better extremely simple and wheelchair bathroom can not be locked that is terrible
