Beautiful location, great structures, best view to the open sea and town below. Easy parking. Food places. At the end of the heel of Italy. On a sunny day, what a view. Loved the visit. Would love to stay nearby next time around.
History embedded. Love how simplistic the church is inside without all the extravaganza.
This Basilica, named "The End of Land" is built at the southernmost tip of the Italian heel, at a place where the Adriatic meets the Ionian sea. The 18c Church with adjacent Monastery is on top of a hill above the town, imo a very average one, both outside and inside. Many souvenir stalls around further ruin the feeling, making it a very touristy place. From the Church terrace is really a great seas view, but that's it - a max 45 min visit including the time for finding parking which is really an issue in August peak season
Busy but still a sense of tranquility and spiritual calm. Easy to access all area even for the less able bodied. Massive car parking space . Small stall holders selling a wide variety of goods at fairly reasonable prices . Small but busy cafe selling a good selection of pasties and snacks busy but worthwhile. Take your time to unwind here and treat it all as a bit of a pilgrimage at the joining of the two seas?
The place is nice, especially 280 steps to come up from port. There is a wsterfall that is oprated with water from roman acqudotto. (Occasionally)
Amazing to visit the End of the World!
You wont find this info in many guide books but there is amazing coastline road - SP358 with some superb views and at the end of this road there is this place. We took SP358 from Grotta Zinzulusa down south to Leuca. Superb views👌Well worth it!
Very nice place , large parking place , you can visit the church and soraundings , even the stone with inscription "DE FINIBUS TERRAE km0"

We had the best time cruising the 'end of the world's. It is so beautiful. The water is pristine!
We went to this grotta with kayaks, booked via AirBnb. It was our best excursion of 1 week Puglia. An active day on the water. And that cave was just magical.
We swam there (arrived by car). It was lovely but a bit too many boats around…
Not worth 3€, bath is forbiden, little cave closed, not so beatiful, too many people, recomentd to avoid
When on a boat, you go where the boat goes. Great color of clear water!
pretty sure the visit inside is fantastic like to swim outside
It's worth! We did a great hike, there were nearly no torusim boats when we arrived. Such a great view. On the southwest are some "cliffs". The Italian go swim there, jump into the water, etc. We spent some hours here during our hike. We left at afternoon, about 3pm - the boat tours arrived (see pic attached)
With a clear water it amazing 🤩

In the famous Santa Maria di Leuca, the extreme edge of Puglia and in particular of Salento, there are still works dating back to the fascist period such as the monumental waterfall at Santa Maria di Leuca. This is the case of the monumental waterfall, an imposing work, finished in 1939; which boasts a length of over 250 meters and a vertical drop of about 120 meters, with a flow rate of 1,000 liters per second that ends directly in the sea. The waterfall represents the last term of an even more sumptuous work, that is that of the Apulian Aqueduct; the greatest infrastructure of water-drinking supply to European level, constructed during the first decades of the twentieth century; consisting of a series of ‘trunks’ thus allowing water supply to over 300 municipalities. Santa Maria di Leuca Perfectly set between the rock and the Mediterranean maquis, its staircase ends with the Roman column, installed by Benito Mussolini. Narrow between two wide flights of stairs that with their 300 steps allow visitors to admire the top; the work is lit only in particular periods that are concentrated especially in the hottest months of the year.

Large free parking place in the street , easy acces by foot , nice place to take photos , no acces to the sea because of the rocks so you need to be very carefully, there is a cave with easy acces that goes down to the sea , no equipment needed, I recommend visiting nearby MUSEO CIVICO DEL CORALLO BIANCO, free entrance
Amazing turquoise water , beautiful views of the tip of Italy …
Cape Punta Meliso is the southeastern tip of Italy — traditionally considered the lowest point of the geographical "heel" of the Italian peninsula, as well as the meeting point of the waters of the Adriatic Sea and the Ionian Sea.
The feeling of being at the southernmost tip of the heel is amazing!
Great spot for photos, worth the visit
Nice place and view. Locals say that one should go at 7 in the morning to see how the Ionian meets the Adriatic. Didn.t manage to make it that early but enjoyed it as well!!
Free access and parking.
Unfortunately the weather was not so good, so it was closed. But still worth the visit.

Amazing place. Sooo clean water. Incredibile.
The area is known for its natural beauty and is a popular destination for outdoor activities. The spot is little bit risky, but possible. The spot is worth a visit. Very suggestive and large cave has a rock formation inside which acts as a supporting column of the enormous cliff of the natural "roof" of the cave. There are many boatmen. Continuing the lovers' cave you can swim by entering onto a small beach. Its name derives from its resemblance to the head of a dragon which can be seen when entering the boat on the left wall. The series of caves and ravines leaves you speechless. The cave is so called because the rock inside vaguely resembled the shape of a lying dragon, with its tail on the left and its head on the right. Furthermore. Dragon's Cave, very beautiful like the others to visit on a boat excursion, evaluate carefully and find out about the caves that make you visit .
Such a nice spot! We found durin our hike a platform directly at the water. Swimming possible, getting out the water little bit risky, but possible. The spot is worth a visit.
Excellent tour! Went with Alexanders with the nicest boatsman. The tour took well over the estimated 1 hour, and swimming into the cave was allowed. € well spent!

Its main function was to spot Turkish ships approaching Salento. The shade of the bridge provides fresh air to refresh the body from a lot of sunbathing. Nearby there are two small restaurant bars and a bridge. This is the only true monument of the place .It owes its name to the discovery of human bone remains inside it. It is also called the old tower . The shade of the bridge provides fresh air to refresh the body from a lot of sunbathing. Atypical and powerful tower, it is classified as a hammer tower due to its defensive fortress characteristics. It has considerable dimensions, the escarpment base has walls almost 5 meters thick and a diameter of approximately 16 metres. Inside this, four troughs opened.

We really liked this beach — it was very well organized. We stayed at the Relax area, and the umbrellas provided excellent shade. It was great to have food and drink service right at the sunbeds. The showers and changing cabins were clean, and the sea was absolutely beautiful.
Good food, amazing atmosphere, but the food came at really odd times. Three of the party of five I was with got the tuna stake and got it almost instantly, the french fries same and also the chicken cutlet but the Angus burger came almost after everybody else had eaten same with the grilled vegetables and they forgot one of the portions of french fries.
We had an overall good experience! There was a bit of a wait, but nothing too excessive. The food was decent, not particularly memorable, but satisfying enough for a casual meal. The staff was very kind, although communication was a bit difficult due to the limited English. The real highlight is the beautiful seaside location, with a lovely view of the sea. It’s a nice spot for a relaxed lunch, especially if you’re looking for a place with a great atmosphere by the water.
Lovely beach club with terraced sun bathing pads over the wind whipped rocks at the very tip of Italy’s heel. We spent the day in unbeatable peace, surrounded by an unspoiled seascape. The meal was unpretentious and tasty.
We were just on time to eat here, as the kitchen closes at 9:30 pm. Though, you can sit until later to eat. I had a fish dish and it was delicious and served warm. When you are just sat, you get a prosecco glass served. Afterwards, at the end a limoncello shot (only if desired). There is a wide range of mocktails, about 8 of them. I recommend the redsunrise. There is a beautiful view, although a bit windy.
Very friendly restaurant where you are met with a glass of prosecco🥂. The food was well prepared, served very quickly - and I had the most amazing and intense tasting tomato-sauce with my grilled octopus on burrata👌. Wonderful place with lovely food and the best ambience 🥰. We give our best recommendations 👍😍
Come for the View, Stay for the Heart! What makes this place special isn’t just the stunning view, it’s the incredible welcome you receive the moment you arrive. The host’s warmth and hospitality create a truly memorable experience that’s rare to find. While the food may not be the most creative in town, it’s authentic and made with quality ingredients. You won’t come here for culinary surprises, but rather for a genuine, laid-back atmosphere where you can relax, enjoy the scenery, and feel at home. A place with soul, superb service, and a setting that speaks for itself. Absolutely worth discovering.
Giuseppe treated us to an amazing dinner, tasting several special and unique dishes including paccheri with burrata, raw local shrimps, shrimps with saffron, and much more. What a feast!!

What an absolutely incredible place to stay! A historical villa with a sea view, extremely friendly, positive and professional staff that has a lot more to offer than you think. A definite must to visit ❤️
Room is great. Ambient is stylish. Seaview balcony perfect. Only the breakfast is awfull.
Unpleasant smell in the rooms. Receptionist refused us in using on premises parking and later I saw another guest doing that, probably they just didn't ask.
Absolutely fine! Only 4 rooms on the 1 floor: owner's and wife, two children 's. It is the museum, transition to Belle Epoque. Visit and stay!
(Translated by Google) My husband and I stayed at this property from 7 to 14 August 2024. It is a very suggestive historic villa with an excellent location, staying where you can use the services of the adjacent hotel. The location is located a stone's throw from the sea and the fact that access to the beach is included in the price certainly constitutes added value. However, the latter is really small and many families stand with their own umbrellas and towels in front of the umbrellas reserved for guests, which creates confusion and hinders passage. The pool area, however, is quiet and very ventilated. It's just a shame that the lifeguards don't enforce the rule of wearing a cap: we had to buy one, but we saw many guests bathing without wearing it. This seemed unfair to us. The rooms in the Villa are very spacious and above all clean, although they could do with some renovation. However, air conditioners are really noisy and often stop or turn off on their own during the night. The only sore point of the stay was the breakfast! SOFT, old biscuits and rusks. Industrial fruit juices, yoghurt and milk kept out of the fridge for hours and jams completely devoid of flavour. The only edible product was the Lecce pasticciotto. Overall, breakfast was really disappointing for us. When we stopped to eat for lunch at the hotel, however, in the same breakfast room, we ate very well. In the property's garden there is a fig tree, which unfortunately is not exploited at all and therefore the fruit often falls to the ground and is wasted unnecessarily. Fresh figs could be offered for breakfast and this would certainly be appreciated. We have become fond of the hotel's two red kittens, who are very sweet. Overall it was a relaxing holiday, but there are many aspects of the facility and staff that could be improved.

A corner with coffee machine and kettle but without coffee or tea bags A welcome less than the minimum required A shared swimming pool with the hotel next door invaded by teenagers with very loud music A big disappointment given the price of the room and the potential of this establishment! (Translated by Google) We are currently on vacation in this villa. This extraordinary hotel, reminiscent of a museum from the 1920s, is by far the best we've booked in decades, and today we even extended our stay. This large room with its antique furniture and high ceilings slows things down; there's nothing digital or high-tech about it, like a TV that greets you upon arrival—because there isn't one. It's like it was back then. The open spaces, the library, and the dining room are sensational. The balcony with a view of the sea is also fantastic. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast is available at the neighboring hotel upon request. We'll definitely be back here. Wir kommen sicher wieder hier her.

Nice 1hr boat trip in either direction. Best time to visit early morning. Rocks, caves are best seen from boats. Boat captain / guide speaks English.
Amazing time, I definitely recommend the boat excursion, we went to see all of the caves, and went to swim in a very dark little cave for 20 minutes!!!
Nice atmosphere with a refreshing sea breeze. Great place for an evening walk!
We stayed here aboard our sailboat. Marina staff were friendly and approachable. Not much in terms of facilities (basic toilets and showers). Easy to access the town and walk along coast. Must walk along wooden walkway hugging coastline and up the 300 steps to the church and lighthouse at the top.
Well, it's a tourist port. Don't know why you could be interested in it, anyway it's well done and prepared, organized. The landscape is good, one side Leuca, the other the monumental waterfall with the lighthouse and the Cathedral. Like boats? Go there; like landscapes, sea, swimming and eating? Go around :)
Go visit the guy and girls at Gnu Diving. Very friendly and helpful. They were excellent with me and my son on our first ever scuba dive, couldn't have been better.
Marina was expensive for what it was. Left much to be desired but it's in key passage making location. The town itself is a delight. Very charming.
Great fun! We got to swim through some beautiful caves and enjoyed the sight from sea.
