I recently visited this charming venue in Barton-under-Needwood and had an unforgettable evening. The cinema offered a cozy and intimate setting to watch a movie, enhancing the overall experience. After the film, I indulged in a delightful meal at their café bar. The steak was perfectly cooked, tender, and flavorful, while the fish and chips were crispy and fresh, a true classic done right. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, with excellent service that made the visit even more special. It’s a place I would highly recommend for anyone looking to combine great food with a relaxing cinematic experience. Whether for a casual night out or a special occasion, The Red Carpet Cinema & Café Bar is a hidden gem worth visiting.
First time visiting the cafe for dinner. Lovely experience! Staff are lovely and friendly and also super efficient! Lots of gluten free choice for my wife. Very relaxing atmosphere. Will be going back very soon!
Review of The Red Carpet Cinema Café Bar I had a lovely experience at The Red Carpet Cinema Café Bar. The atmosphere was warm, stylish, and welcoming—perfect for a relaxing outing. The staff were friendly and attentive, making the whole visit feel personal and enjoyable. The food was excellent—freshly prepared, well-presented, and full of flavour. Whether you’re popping in for lunch, a coffee, or a full meal before a film, the menu offers something for everyone. I especially appreciated the cosy setting, which adds a touch of charm that’s rare to find. Being able to enjoy a meal or drink in such a nice environment before heading into the cinema made the whole experience extra special. It’s a perfect spot for a treat, a date night, or a catch-up with friends. Highly recommended—I’ll definitely be returning
Red Carpet Cinema is an excellent venue for watching a film, eating a delicious meal and experiencing the delights of Barton Marina. The facility itself is decorated to feel like an authentic old-fashioned cinema, the seats are big and comfy and the screens are adequately sized. Food is fantastic and allergies / dietary requirements all catered for with ease. We had two delicious food courses each, a drink each and a cinema ticket each, for £75, which is good value for the excellent quality of food served! We regularly visit and enjoy ourselves every time. Thank you!
First time at the red carpet cinema and cafe. Staff were brilliant. Loved the film and had 2 course dinner and a bottle of wine after! Food was absolutely delicious, slight issue with the wrong order coming out, however was sorted very professionally and promptly, side order was forgotten but came eventually and was taken off the bill as a good will gesture without having to ask. Wonderful staff, and 10/10 for the food and wine. Will definitely visit again soon.
Another fantastic visit to the Red Carpet. We had food before the film and as always it was first class. Everything was cooked to perfection, the portion sizes are perfect and the food is amazing. The staff are all very attentive and polite and always go above and beyond to offer an outstanding service. The cinema always feels clean, the seats are lovely and comfy. We've got our next visit booked and we're looking forward to one of the lovely Red Carpet breakfasts. Keep up the amazing work. Thank you for a great cinema experience.
Our new favourite cinema! Comfy seats, good sound, friendly staff, a selection of food and drink, more film options than any of the big cinemas and so much cheaper!! Absolutely fab, we will be back time and time again…oh and what a gorgeous location too! Wonderful!
Great experience, would highly recommend! Easy to book, great film, comfy seats and service from all the staff is always wonderful. We did the food and film deal on this visit and it was so good, Darcy and Riley both looked after us and they were so helpful and friendly. All the timings are arranged when you book so you don’t have to worry about rushing from one to the other. The food was exceptionally good as well and can’t recommend a Sunday enough as we could have the roast dinner which was sublime. Come and experience it for yourself, you won’t regret it!

Review of Barton Marina Barton Marina is a delightful destination with something for everyone. You'll find beautiful scenery and peaceful canals that wind through the marina, offering stunning views of the lakes and surrounding wildlife. It's a birdwatcher’s dream—ducks, geese, and an array of local birds make every walk feel immersive and serene. Beyond the natural charm, Barton Marina offers a great selection of shops for leisurely browsing. Whether you're in search of gifts, outdoor gear, or home décor, there’s plenty to explore. Whether you're out for a stroll, shopping trip, a bite to eat, or watching a movie, Barton Marina offers a well-rounded day out in a stunning setting.
Free parking, several quirky shops to browse. Lots of food & drink available. Public toilets. Mostly flat. Two lakes full of water fowl to walk around. I went on a Friday during school holidays and it was fairly quiet till around 2pm.
Really enjoyed Barton Marina, I went up to walk my dogs around the lakes, but there is something up there for everyone, great choice of cafes, restaurants and pubs. There is a cinema, art gallery and some shops to browse round, a particularly good butchers. Lovely place to sit take in the scenery and chill.
We had a lovely walk around the lake, the boats look great and there are some nice cafes and places to eat here. We visited the art gallery and shops. Public toilets are clean.
We took a trip to Barton Marina and what a beautiful, relaxed place it is. We ended up spending hours there, browsing the farm shops, enjoying the cafés, The lakeside walks were just stunning. Peaceful, scenic, and full of charm , such a perfect spot for a day out. Highly recommend!
Joyful place to enjoy a walk, drink and food, with plenty of places to choose from. Great spot for a day out, there’s also a pub with cinema which was cool. Some shops too.
What an amazing scenic place. Loads of places to eat, kind and friendly. Most importantly free parking.
The cafe was the best place to eat in the marina, sadly closed - Not only was the food good value for money, the staff were also friendly and it was a great location at the waters edge. Good walks around the lakes.

Guided tours explore British brewing, with shire horses, vintage vehicles and beer samples.

A really wet day what shall we do? The National Brewery Centre in Burton is supposed to be good. So off we went and we where not disappointed. The tour was given by an extremely friendly and knowledgeable guide who took us around in just over 1hr 45 minutes. Any questions asked he could answer. At the main desk you were given 3 tokens to try different beers at the end of the tour along with food if you wished. If you so wished you didn't need the guide and could spend as much more time looking and reading about the exhibits at your leisure. Photographs are aloud to remember your day. Take mints with you to feed the shire horses
Very different but interesting and spontaneous 90 minute tour of the old brewery. You get 3 ‘test taste’ tickets to use, 1 ticket gets you a quarter pint to taste, or use all 3 to purchase a beer from the gift shop at the end. Sad to hear this place is fighting to keep the doors open, it’s a good historical place.
We had a Sunday lunch with my in laws and our children. The portions were great, even the children's meals were decent, service was OK (we had too keep asking them for things rather than them being attentive) and we left happy and full. The children had fun on the little play area there too. All in all a lovely meal.
What a brilliant day out...excellent. The music was out standing, the fly pass brilliant to see. And the kids just enjoyed everything. Oh and my little one stole the show, well she really got stuck in with her dancing. Until next time.
Enjoyable day out and tickets were very good value (£12 per adult). You can walk round at your own pace which was nice, there was also a tour going on so worth enquiring about having a guide who can share more of the history and info into the brewing process. The food at the pub within the museum was also very good - hearty food like bangers and mash, and lasagne, as well as sandwiches. Parking was free as well which was super.
Excellent! A must visit place on all real ale fans' bucket lists, especially if you like history and fun:- museum on the Worthington site, memorabilia shop, beer boutique with local ales, escape room and, last but not least, Brewery Tap bar and restaurant with proper pub food - drayman's lunch recommended - and three 1/3 pint sample tickets - there were 6 ales on September 5th, plus lagers and keg and soft for designated drivers. 😁
My dad used to work for Bass so this was a place we always used to visit as a child as he got free entry. I always loved the shire horses. I remember having my 7th birthday party there and a shire horse had a card round its next saying happy 7th birthday Emma. I alot of local brewing history in the museum. Nothing has really changed from when I was a kid. Even the buttons still work on the miniature train tracks :)
Great place for day out for beer aficionados. I especially liked their display of beer delivery vehicles. Beer shop offers good selection of beers you can't get elsewhere. Additionally on-site restaurant is a nice stopping point for a meal.

Restored Victorian-era sewage pumping station with tours, adjacent to a modern sewage plant.
Slide 1 of 8
This was a fantastic museum to visit, showing the history of sewage pumping industrially! The pumps from across time are shown and it is detailed how they worked as separate parts in the process, or clogs in the machine should I say, featuring many different sizes and styles of pumps. More intense machinery from the process is shown too and miniature houses from the prime era are a neat touch, appreciate things like the mock coal wagon and boiler room too!
This was great! What these volunteers have achieved - mostly on a shoestring - is incredible. And I hadn’t known that, along with the historic pumping engines, Claymills is also home to the oldest working dynamo in Britain and, according to staff, possibly Europe. I’d recommend going on a steaming day (usually bank holiday weekends) to see the pumps in action. Nice cafe too!
Visited on a steam rally weekend. Really enjoyed coming here. Make sure you go for the talk which explains the history of the station - very informative. Staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. Plenty of space to move around and see the different rooms. Cafe had some tasty fresh sandwiches and superb cake. There is also a second hand book shop - some really good books in there. The engines in the main room are switched on at specific times. Lots of small rooms with quirky items. Man showing his apple collection was amazing. This is a great day out and really enjoyed it.
Steaming days are always the best. First-time visitor at Claymills, and I wasn't disappointed. A great welcome from the volunteers. They sure know how to lay on a great day. The usual facilities onsite and the cafe was great. It's amazing what the Victorian generation left us. A massive shout out and a round of applause to the volunteers that keep these amazing engines running. The smell and smooth running are fabulous 👌 I could have sat all day watching them run. For all steam engine enthusiasts, this is a must-see. It was great seeing the old vehicles, too😊 A perfect day was had by the three of us.
A fantastic place to visit. We went on a non steam day, started off on a guided tour, which was really informative and at a nice pace, it wasn't rushed. After the tour time is your own. All the volunteers were friendly and very approachable, there's a lot to see here! A must for anyone with the slightest of interest, 4 beam engines, 5 boilers, a workshop, forge, dynmo house and more. Can't wait to go back on a steam day.
Visited on a none steaming day in April 25 with my motorcycle club from (Tamworth & District Classic Motorcycle Club) Tamworth. Great venue and an impressive living museum. Nice cafe. Expert guides showed us round the various parts of the pumping station. Very enjoyable few hours had by all.
Fantastic Victorian industrial masterpiece to visit for all the family. Friendly atmosphere with knowledgeable volunteer staff. Steaming & non steaming days & events throughout the year. Open from 10am until 5pm. Recommended
A hidden gem if you are into anything steam powered. I had no idea that this pumping station has the largest collection of working steam engines that all used to be from this area. The volunteers are really knowledgeable and happy to answer any questions. We spent a good 3 hours looking at the various engines and machine rooms. Ask to see the bathroom!

A lovely walk around the lake. We heard so many different birds and I found my new bird app added interest to the walk. Very relaxing and a friendly cafe at the end ( or beginning).
Located next to the A38 (traffic noise is minimal and then only near the car park) the park offers beautiful scenery and several walking route options. It's possible to cycle to Barton Marina in about 20 minutes (or a good hour's walk) plus routes to many other local places and beauty spots. The Hub cafe offers an excellent choice of hot & cold drinks as well as great food (hot and cold). The new toilet block was long overdue but is ideal. There are plenty of fishing spots, plentiful parking and almost limitless photo opportunities.
May 2025 This is a great place to take the family. There's a lovely cafe and two super clean toilets just by a large free car park. A well maintained path is good for walkers, runners, or cyclists and goes all around the water Near the cafe is an adventure playground and a picnic spot with several beaches. Branston Water Park lies just by The Trent and Mersey Canal, so you can do a spot of boat watching at a lock
Great short walk around the pond, great food at the canteen with a couple of tables. Plenty of parking. Easy walk with clear path easy for elderly, zimmers and wheelchairs
A lovely little secluded lake just minutes away from the main road. The lake is lovely and there's a nice walk around the lake which is around 1.5 miles and there are lots of benches all the way round either for a little rest or just to sit and enjoy the quiet. For anyone who enjoys fishing there are pegs around half of the lake which is for members only and some of the pegs are really spacious to set out all your equipment and at least 1 disabled peg. There are lots of ducks, geese & swans on the lake which are lovely to sit and watch. In the car park (free parking) there is also a little cafe selling hot & cold drinks, ice creams & snacks with a few tables outside. It's a lovely relaxing little spot especially in the sunshine.
Great place to moor, good local facilities within walking distance, coop, Indian restaurant, pub! Nice walks around the lake and plenty of wildlife to spot.
Large lake for a nice walk around, lots of wildlife with toilets, cafe and free parking too
Branston water Park is a lovely Nature reserve on the Trent and Mersey Canal not far from Burton-upon-Trent. There is alot of walks with a lovely cafe that sells Tea coffee cakes and sandwiches. Dogs are allowed but must be on leads at all times.

Beautiful location for family visits. People of all ages will find a visit to this park relaxing as the garden is large and there's ample space for everyone to have a good time. Whether it's spending some time with the Swan at the water front, taking a walk in the gardens, having a picnic or simply spending fun times with your children at the playground. It was a beautiful experience and I would definitely visit again.
It's a Very nice park with lots of swans and geese. It has kiddies playground. The car park is very small, for about six cars? The smallest car park i have seen. But, i believe its free, at least i haven't noticed any pay signs.
It is a lovely clean and interesting place. Great to walk dogs with plenty of open spaces and chances for a swim. Lots of interesting things to see on your walk and parking was free. Picnic tables and benches everywhere.
Beautiful. Perfect place for a nice walk or run. Full of nature.
It's really a beautiful sight to be held. I could spend the whole day watching this pleasant scenery. The river flowing, the swans, the scene is so breathtaking. Nice, I love it!
Took the little one to the park, feed the ducks and a walk by the river. Lovely area bet its lovely in bloom
Really nice well kept Gardens. They're toilets there, a refreshments van and plenty of seating to relax, watch birds, ducks and wildlife
Beautiful kept space, well maintained, park for the children and some lovely seating areas! They also have a few of the Burton Swans (part of the Swan Trail raising awareness and money for YMCA) there!

The Speedy Whippet II has now been running for 4 months. The boat is awesome just like the team at Aqua. This is the second boat they have built for us and the whole process is great fun and a joy to be involved with. I suppled spares and equipment to the super yachts and worked with 90 % of the biggest yachts. The quality and care the Aqua team provide equals that of the super yachts. People tell us it’s the best narrow boat they have ever seen. I agree with them. Thank you Justin and team the Speedy Whippet is a joy.
Top Notch! Five Star! Bee's Knees! Dog's .... well you get the idea! Justin and the team at Aqua built our 59ft NB Minimum Warp for us and we are absolutely over the moon with her. The design process was a joy, with Justin and Jane (Aqua Furnishings) helping us through all of the design decisions with just the right amount of advice and guidance. The build phase was well organised and we were always kept well informed and were even able to tweak our design a little as the boat took shape. As for the finish of the boat, it exceeds all expectations. Everything is beautifully made, superbly put together and finished to perfection with an almost obsessive attention to detail. If you are looking for a new boat - choose Aqua! You will not be disappointed!
We are absolutely delighted with our new bespoke 58ft. narrowboat, Dilly Dally. When we were looking for a boat builder, we feel so lucky to have spotted Perfect Timing, (another bespoke boat built by Aqua Narrowboats) moored on the Oxford Canal, which started our boat building journey with Aqua Narrowboats. Justin and his team at Aqua Narrowboats were an absolute pleasure to work with and nothing was ever too much trouble. Justin was so good at giving us his time and didn’t mind how often we called him to discuss the specification or visited The Boat House to see the progress of our boat. The whole process was such an enjoyable experience. The quality of the workmanship is second to none, the boat is beautifully finished inside and out (even the bits you don't see) and it really is truly bespoke. If you are thinking of having a high quality bespoke boat built, you will not be disappointed with Aqua Narrowboats and we cannot recommend them highly enough.
Our experience of buying a narrowboat - ‘Aqua-style’ When you embark on the wish to realise a dream and invest in a portion of your life floating and living at a slower pace, you will want to maximise on the narrowboat’s space and make sure she is efficient. You will want style and comfort. You will want the essentials to work and be tried and tested. You will want your boat builder to have thought of things you have not. You will want to think out of the steel box but know you are in good hands and ultimately become the owners of a craft of value and beauty. You need look no further that Justin and his team at Aqua Narrowboats. Our boat Lily Pad (58') was guided by the Aqua team’s guiding ropes and launched into the water with the help of a crane on March 15th 2022. Her journey before that moment had been within a relatively small radius from the creation of her steel hull at Colecraft, to the Aqua team’s boatyard near Burton-on-Trent. There she was expertly fitted out and finished with exquisite skilled wooden craftsmanship of oak and ash. We visited the team many times during construction and were always made extremely welcome. In fact, to step on board almost felt like walking on hallowed ground. This was not just the slightly odd thing about being in a boat suspended from a ceiling and looking larger than she ever would in the water. Nor was it because we were evidently intruding on the (limited) work space of nine skilled people. It was because the whole team at Aqua Narrowboats are dedicated to their work and love the process of creating beautiful boats. Attention to detail is the name of the game. Justin even has his team sit on the toilet to see what tiny details might annoy if not quite right! There are many decisions to be made in the building of a boat from scratch. With Aqua Narrowboats, you are clearly the captain of the craft and decisions are ultimately down to you. However, Justin and his team are expert at guidance without pressure; at taking things seriously and having excellent attention to detail and being flexible to accommodate whims, set-backs and requests. They could not do enough for us. By the time all was finished, we felt like members of the family. Our boat is beautifully enhanced by fabrics and window dressing by Jane of the sister company, Aqua Furnishings. A month into our long trip, we are grateful for their work, inspiration and care on this boat every day. It is contributing hugely to our currently floating, like the ducks in our constant company, without a care in the world, along the UK canal network. One of our friends who visited said he thought our boat was a floating Picasso! Thank you Aqua Narrowboats. We are beyond thrilled with our dream boat.
Just over three years ago I decided to take the plunge and sponsor an Aqua narrowboat. It was a long wait, but all worthwhile - having just taken Aqua Spirit out on it's maiden voyage the boat has exceeded my expectations. I'm extremely pleased with the layout, quality of build and attention to detail - so many surprising neat little features. Justin, Jane and the Aqua team have been extremely helpful, both throughout the build process and afterwards too. I'm looking forward to spending more time on Aqua Spirit in the next five years.
Having decided to buy a pre-loved narrowboat we did lots of research and Aqua Narrowboats' high fit-out quality and good design ideas stood out. We are delighted with Demoiselle (previously known as The Speedy Whippet) and while out on the Cut have received many compliments on how good she looks. We are often asked if she is new - not bad for a ten year old boat and a testament to Aqua Narrowboats and her previous owner. After Sales Service on a used boat is excellent; we have bombarded Justin with loads of questions since we bought her, all of which he has answered with good humour. We would definitely recommend Aqua Narrowboats to anyone looking to buy a second hand narrowboat for their high quality and customer service.
We did a lot of research to find the best boat builder for us and we settled on Aqua Narrowboats. They could not have been more accommodating and helpful and have built us the most gorgeous boat which we are thrilled with. The attention to detail is amazing and the quality of workmanship second to none. They have a very friendly and knowledgeable team who were always on hand to answer questions and help us with all our decisions, giving us lots of options and alternatives. Despite the challenges of all our lockdowns they still managed to complete our fabulous boat. We would whole heartedly recommend them.
We came across Aqua Narrowboats first at the Crick Boat Show a few years ago, and were impressed with the build quality and friendly yet professional and knowledgeable team. Then again when researching builders, Aqua Narrowboats popped up. Their boats have such a wow factor. We have run out of superlatives to describe how thrilled we are with our beautiful boat Roundtuit that was launched a few weeks ago. See for yourself on the walk through video on Facebook. Update 4 years on. Our Boat Safety examiner was more than impressed with our boat. He loved the attention to detail and the quality of the gas and electrical fittings. He though the boat was amazing.

We enjoyed hospitality in Box 5 for a recent game and I must say yet again it was outstanding. The menu was Carrot and Orange Soup, Chicken Supreme, followed by mousse and tea or coffee. With a cheeseboard at half time. A great night and superbly looked after as always.
Good little ground. Been a few times to watch Bolton. The away end has good catering facilities and service is good for a football ground. Parking is excellent at just £5 but I recommend getting there 70-90 minutes before kick off. It was easy and quick to get out of the car park too.
Yeh another good ground. Great location. Such great facilities. Stewards well under control accents are brilliant over here and they are all friendly. Burgers chips hot dogs beers all sold in the ground turnstiles open at decent time.
Always a friendly place to go. The trace stand for visiting fans is low, but you can make a good noise due to the low roof. Catering ok, there’s a small bar for away fans. Stewards are very welcoming in general.
Superb facility with everything you need whether it's watching a game or having a function such as a business meeting, celebrating or wider. Easy parking, easy access and great staff. Highly recommended
Excellent. Officials and stewards were a credit to the club. Friendly and helpful before and after the game. Great food and drink very reasonably priced. Top facilities and the away stand gave an excellent view. 10/10
Enjoyed our time here at this lovely football ground. The pitch was perfect, a lovely playing surface. The stands are great, we were behind the goal, really good food and drinks outlets, and real world prices too. There is a lot of parking around the ground, and it is very well placed just a coupe of miles from the A38. Super friendly stewards, and a great view of the game. Well done Burton Albion.
Neat and tidy ground, a lot to like.

A truly brilliant experience. I took my girl guide unit to walk the Llamas in the evening time. Anna is a fantastic host brilliant with the girls and the Llamas are so calm and easy going. I highly recommend booking.
We had a lovely time getting to know the Llamas and their personalities. Anna was lovely and took her time to answer our many questions. I had a great time walking Kevin - the messy one! We also took Barack'o'Llama and Mustard for a wander. Would highly recommend this experience to others...Our 5 year old enjoyed it as much as the grown ups. Thank you Anna for looking after us 🦙
Brilliant fun with Anna and the llamas today. Informative and great to groom, feed and walk the boys around. Narrowly avoided Mustard eating the neighbour’s new trees and was privileged to meet my namesake Gary the goat. Very much enjoyed by my children and a very enthusiastic dad! Highly recommended place to come to if you’re in the area.
An amazing experience had by all. The llamas were cute, inquisitive and friendly. They loved being brushed, fed and walked, stopping many times to feed from passing trees, bushes and hedgerows. They are incredibly calming with their individual characteristics adding humour along the route. There was ample time for photographs, and very accommodating for dietary requirements. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. Thank you so much Anna for your time and knowledge of such fabulous animals.
What a fantastic experience , right on my doorstep too. Anna and her partner were lovely. The animals were so cool. Great cake and tea afterwards . I will be visiting next time with my SEN pupils. They will absolutely love it. Genuine, warm, knowledgeable people. Perfect.
Had a lovely time with the Llamas, they are so comical, each with its own personality. Anna was so welcoming and easy to talk to. We really enjoyed each part of the experience, you can't help but smile at these unique animals. Yummy cake at the end too!
We had a brilliant day here. The llamas are well looked after and were very well behaved, even Dave! Beautifully kept stables and fields. Anna is such a delight. My daughter enjoyed her birthday. It was better than we expected. Thank you Anna. Hope to see you again soon. Xx
My son has autism and he choose this is the place he wanted to visit for his birthday treat, all 3 children loved it the lady running it was lovely, I would highly recommend it and would definitely come again, 3 very happy children and 1 very happy birthday boy, thank you very much and Dave the Llama made our day

Had an amazing stay here. The service is top-notch, so many extra little touches such as chocolates in our room and a drink on arrival. The restaurant food is excellent, very good attention to detail when catering for a gluten-free diner, even bringing gluten free biscuits with coffee at the end of the meal. There were a few problems with our order but our waitress D was brilliant and sorted everything out. The breakfast was fantastic, the best hotel breakfast I've ever had! Tip - check out the porridge before filling up on everything else.
Can't comment on the rooms. I was here for an charity evening. Food and venue really good. My issue is attitude of some staff. The lager was not cold at all, cool at best. When I asked about it the manager, they kindly got me a replacement. This was also cool at best. I commented to a bar staff member that the beer in my fridge was colder and they replied "we'll go and drink that then" rude and unacceptable especially when paying nearly £7 a pint.
My stay was absolutely lovely from start to finish. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the service was truly excellent throughout my visit. The room itself was spacious and comfortable, and more than enough for 2 adults and 2 children to share. However, the real highlight of my trip was the spa. It was a truly amazing experience. I had initially booked a massage but was delighted to take advantage of a 40% off offer to add a facial. The spa staff were very accommodating with this last-minute change. My therapist, Hannah, was fantastic. From the back massage to the facial, she was an absolute professional. I felt completely relaxed and rejuvenated by the end of my treatments. I would highly recommend the spa and Hannah in particular!
It’s without a shadow of a doubt that the staff make this hotel fantastic. In our party we had two with mobility issues and the staff were fantastic. Special mention to Chloe who ensured we were as comfortable as possible, offering use of the wheelchair throughout our stay with her front of house team on standby throughout. The breakfast, Domanica- wow! She was fantastic, attentive, and generally a joy to meet. Her team equally so (Henry was attentive and helped to carry coffees to the table and help as much as he could)They set up a great kids play area which meant adults could actually enjoy a coffee whilst the kids remained entertained. We will definitely return based on the standout service we have received!!
Lovely setting within the well maintained grounds of England FA national centre. Plenty of parking. Lovely reception/ Atrium area. Rooms spacious and good shower and comfy beds. Bar area lively with good casual atmosphere. Leisure facilities good with pool, sauna, steam room and gym. Bar prices expensive but good choice of beers and spirits. Food served in Bar and restaurant. Separate Starbucks disappointing. Coffee served in cardboard cups and no butter for croissants. Also no decaffeinated beans, just powder. Overall an enjoyable visit.
I stayed here for 2 nights whilst working at an event in Derby. The location is decent and the hotel facilities and rooms were clean. The staff were truly excellent. I had a migraine come on whilst waiting for my food to arrive in the restaurant. The staff in the restaurant couldn't do enough. They sorted out me taking my meal upstairs until the migraine subsided and offered some water and offered some medication (although I had my own). The lady who helped me with this truly was an asset to the Hilton brand. So why only 3 stars? Well the room really let this hotel down. A hard creaky bed and some bathroom fixtures were not working correctly. For the price of the room, I felt a bit short changed, despite the excellent service I received from the hotel's staff.
By far the best Hilton in the country! Having been a Diamond member for over 10 years, I can confidently say the service here is exceptional. The staff go above and beyond, and the grounds are absolutely immaculate. A truly outstanding experience every time.
Great hotel with fantastic breakfasts. Best hot chocolate I ve had in ages. Rooms spacious and clean and we spotted lots of famous footballers during our stay. Well recommend.

Lovely little farm. My 3yo loved it, lots of animals that you can feed, rabbits you can hold, a great play area and sandpit too! Perfect for our little one, we shall be coming here more often 😊
Stunning petting farm, great space for the kids. Been over the years and most recently April 25. Clean and friendly place. Food is yummy and reasonably priced. Entry price is amazing and animal feed is very reasonable. Parking can get busy and full fast. No hills and appears easy accessible Definitely recommend
We visited here today (3 adults and 1 toddler). The food was nice and tasty. Staff were accommodating. The farm was lovely and you could see how well the animals are looked after. There’s a really good play area with a sand pit. It’s a great secure space for kids - as long as the entry/exit gate is kept closed! I can’t believe it took us so long to visit but I can most definitely say we’ll be back soon. Thanks!
What a lovely place, definitely a little gem. Not been before and will be back. Good size place for little ones and love the outside play area too. We came for other little ones first birthday. Cafe is Ace, good selection of food and gorgeous cakes, very cute children's cutlery 😁😁
delicious food, rude staff, and not just to us, a general unwelcoming attitude, rather uncouth, bad H&S too, bucket and mop and wet floor on way to toilets making it dangerous to navigate and staff just stand and look this was at 4.20. they do not close until 5pm apparently. packing up ready to close from about 4pm onwards, customers just get in the way attitude. very strange have been here three times and the same each time. the children love the animals who are the saving grace and most friendly! I will add that the staff on the farm are excellent very chatty, helpful and warm.
Lovely little farm and tearoom, ideal for a couple of hours. There's various animals from rabbits, guinea pigs through to alpacas and ponies. A large covered sand pit area, lots of little ride on toys, petting areas, a beautiful little library full of books and a little bench to read plus a play area too. Everywhere is well sign posted and information boards on the enclosures. There is a cafe / restaurant and gift shop available onsite. Staff are all very friendly. We enjoyed our visit and can recommend.
Visited with our 3-year old yesterday, who thoroughly enjoyed the visit. A range of animals including pigs, goats, alpacas, pony's, chickens and ducks that can be fed, as well as rabbits and guinea pigs that can be handled with staff-assistance. A good-sized park with slides, climbing frame and ride-on toys for kids of all ages as well as a shop and cafe too. Well worth a visit.
Really lovely cafe with plenty of veggie options and nice kids food too. The farm itself is small but perfect for toddlers or little ones. There's lots of animals to feed and stroke. We especially loved the rabbits and guinea pigs. There's a great play area (which we spent most of the time in as the kids loved it!) With lots of bikes/scooters and a massive sandpit. Plenty of outdoor space for picnics in the summer too. We will definitely be going back. Great value too.

Outstanding art gallery in a delightful location. If you're a fan of quality original art then a visit to this gallery should be a priority. The staff are very welcoming and happy to share insights and perspectives. In addition they also host well known artists from time to time. Recommend a visit.
A lovely art gallery based in Barton Marina on Thursday Doug Hyde was the guest Artist, it was a fabulous evening a packed gallery the fizz was flowing (very generous with top ups) & the pictures were selling as Doug was working around the rooms a great evening had by all
I visited here this afternoon with my parents after a birthday lunch at the Waterfront. All three members of staff were friendly and welcoming when we went inside the gallery for a look around, but I’d especially like to thank Helen who served us upstairs where we purchased a catalogue/book of the works of one of artists whose work is on display. Helen was cheerful, polite and showed a kind personal interest which really added to the occasion. The gallery itself has a wide range of styles from a number of different artists and so there’s likely to be something that would appeal to most people. I look forward to visiting again in the future. Thank you all for making my visit today an enjoyable one.
Hi visited Gallery III once again today. Always a lovely welcome from Louise who remembers who we are and little details she need not remember .Thank you lovely customer service .
Lovely experience at the gallery today. Some wonderful artwork on display and your staff member went out of her way to make us feel welcome.....very informative too. Will definitely return and recommend .
Lovely studio in a great setting .staff are very welcoming .
Great experience. Lovely people. Will definitely be coming back to you for our next piece of art.
Delightful gallery in a splendid location. Artworks beautifully displayed. Visits to the gallery are always enhanced by the warm welcome received from knowledgable staff.

I really like robinson's diecast store, very good cars and buses for £1 - 7 and you can get cars and stuff for as little as 50p
It's a decent place with a Costa at the main entrance, and nice bakery cafe upstairs. Like most of these malls though it's lost its way a bit and is mostly full of the cheaper type stores.
Not a bad little shopping mall, has few shops inside, including discount stores, tkmax, CEX, Iceland, card factory. The works and more... clean and tidy. Not too busy and offers food upstairs too in the cafe.
Will not be going there again parked just over the parking bay lines in disabled bay to give me more room to get out as I am severely disabled and got hit with a £60 fine
I like this place, lots of variety. When you finish shopping pop to asda, buy a choc bar and your receipt gives you free parking
I love this place for shopping. Plenty of shops to explore
Nice place hopefully more shops will return
A bit dated usual shops closed down so there's a lot of nothing

Fantastic experience here in this amazing and quirky working brewery! Whether there's a band on or not, this is a brilliant place to have fun with friends and other like-minded people 😊 John - the owner, serves fantastic fresh ale at the RIGHT price! ✅ My favourite is the IPA, it's awesome and is one of my most favourite ales at 5% 😋 I'm not sure about the opening hours but I think it's only open to the public on Fridays and private parties on Saturdays!? Once again, cheers for another great evening! 👍 😃 Nigel & Claire
A lovely little brewery. We tried to get there by bus but we didn't have the right tickets. Anyway its about 20 minutes walk from Burton town centre. Lovely craft beers at reasonable prices. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Opens on Friday nights. Dogs welcome 🐕. The toilets were clean. We saw customers bring in takeaway food so I guess that's allowed. Also looks like they have the occasional live music, because there's a stage. Will look out for that. Quite a quirky place which suits us. No background music, just the chatter of happy customers 😊. 🎸.
It's been a few years since I've been in the Tower Brewery. It's a great atmosphere, superb selection of ales, and a great price too. Well worth a visit
Born to boogie with DJ Neil was fantastic what a brilliant DJ. Great beer too.
Fab micro brewery with lovely tap room and great prices. Friendly staff and lovely tasting beer that is being picked Now by Morrison’s Lidl and Aldi. Occasional themed nights. Limited opening - Friday nights only, they do a lot of parties and weddings on Saturdays.
Just the best independent brewery there is ...and now with Royal recognition from the King himself 👑
This place sells great beer at a great price and has live bands and events well recommended.
Fantastic beer, great atmosphere, shame it's only open one day a week

Absolutely stunning place. There is a great selection available covering all things from plants to homewares to food. A lot of stuff is very reasonably priced too and there is something for all budgets. The garden centre is also dog friendly. The cafe is amazing, with a great selection of delicious food and drink. Again, these are all very reasonably priced. The Grow card rewards scheme is fantastic, and although there is an initial cost for the card, it more than pays for itself after a couple of visits. I would highly recommend a visit here. It really is a wonderful place.
First time visit today. Really lovely and the place is so well kept. Had a coffee from the cafe which was lovely. I don’t eat there but saw the food being served up and the full English breakfast looked fantastic. Will be heading back soon.
I recently visited Barkley park garden centre and was very impressed. The restaurant is a lovely big open space with plenty of options for food and drinks. There's also plenty of car parking spaces and 2 bays for coaches. If you have a few hours spare it's well worth a visit.
Lovely & busy garden centre all you need is here and the staff are great help Thank you Visited again today to buy more plants and to try the restaurant..we had ploughman's lunch & chips was all ok Thank you
Lovely place with home made food and cakes. Lovely shop with great choice of clothes, shoes and plants. Very friendly and professional staff . Big car park. Highly recommended 👌
Went here for a browse and something to eat. Food took absolutely ages to come even though there was hardly anybody there and we had only ordered sandwiches. Very overpriced for some dry bread, one piece of chicken and a few ready salted crisps. One of the staff behind the counter was shockingly rude which just added to the not so great experience. All in all it’s a lovely place in a nice area but personally wouldn’t step foot in the cafe again.
Went to the café at Byrkley Park Garden Centre for breakfast with my mother, and it was a very pleasant experience overall. The atmosphere was relaxed and cosy, and the staff were very friendly and hospitable. Although the hash brown and bacon were sadly very overcooked and hard, the rest of the plate was faultless and absolutely yummy. The tea was nice and piping hot—just the way we like it. But the star of the meal was the toast! It was our favourite part—warm, buttery, and just the right amount of crisp. We'd certainly return, if only for the toast and tea. A lovely place for a leisurely breakfast or a peaceful cuppa.
I would've given 5 stars, but after a recent visit today. I cant say i was impressed with the lunch i ordered. This place has normally provided decent meals. And i also appreciate that at times when places are busy, you know there could be a wait. But when your food finally arrives and its extremely disappointing 😕 The description was spicy bean chilli with cheese on a jacket potato. And i ordered some coleslaw at the price of £1.50 extra. Well i had to get a magnifying glass out to actually see the chilli. I think there must've been about a table spoon full on the potato. The cheese was one big lump which hadn't even melted properly. To actually have the cheek to charge £1.50 for the tinniest pot of coleslaw, you certainly are milking your customers. It's an insult. Chili and jacket potato luke warm. And my partner's roast was luke warm. It may be quite some time before we eat here again. Little Eaton far better.

Very friendly staff. First time trying their beers, so went for a mixed box. The IPA is absolutely superb, definitely one of the best I've tasted. Working through the box, but I haven't had a bad drink yet. Will definitely return!
Staff were pleasant both in advance communication, and during our visit. Free parking which is very handy when visiting for the football. Service was quick. Liked the wall decor. Was disappointed in the beer selection given its a brewery. Bit of a shame. They had run out of one of their regulars (Albion) which locals seemed to be keen on.
Been drinking their beers a long time now, superb range from born slippy to modwena never had a bad one yet 😊 must say thomcat is my favourite along with their winter warmer which is amazing 👍🏼 Staff are very friendly & very knowledgeable, they even hold some great gigs which I would definitely recommend. I always keep a stock their beers in carnt Recommend the brewery & the beers enough 😃👍🏼🍻🍺⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I called in when passing. Saw the sign and as I like good beer, Brought 6 Born Slippy Lager and 6 Thomcat. Both of these are bottle conditioned ale. Although I don't tend to go for these, They are worth a try and I'll be in again soon.
Great little brewery and friendly service.
Excellent brewery and bar with friendly and knowledgeable people to go with it. Popped in with my dad before the football with the idea of visiting a few other pubs, but came back as this place was unbeatable.
Burton Town Brewery produce an extensive range of high-quality real ales and craft beers that can be sampled here in top condition, just check opening dates/times before travelling. Well worth a visit.
Beer 🍺 & Live Music from Surfin Llamas 🎶 Great Atmosphere 👍
