Lovely SMALL fisching willage Worth of visiting, even on febeuary several restaurants open on sunday so we had an exellent lunch and continued our journey
Amazing lovely place, to relax AMD have a lovely lunch or diner.
Old ruins of tuna factory, some pictures and signs explaining what it was. A lot a nice looking restaurants around the square
I don't know what other reviewers are talking about, to be honest. The tonnora is a boat shed/fish tinning factory complex. The boat shed part has been stabilised and is used as an indoor craft market and venue. During the summer months, the tonnara hosts crafters and artisans. One can buy jewellery, ceramics, clothing, art, etc. Just watch your footing on the uneven floors! Loses one point because the unique tuna fishing boats, which have sheltered in the boat shed for 80+ years, were moved to the yard next door and abandoned there, and have rotted and fallen to pieces.
Great beach. Quiet and relaxing. For a fee you get no loud music, no litter, just calm sounds of the sea. Shallow water, good for children.
Marzamemmi is an enchanting little village located near Syracuse that offers a beautiful, picturesque stop along the coast. It is deeply rooted in history, built around the ancient tuna fishery (tonnara) and featuring strong Arabic heritage—a legacy still visible in its architecture and narrow streets. The central square and the stone buildings create a unique atmosphere, and the architecture instantly evoked comparisons to the small fishing villages found in Turkey or Greece. The warm, sun-drenched stone and the sea views are undeniably impressive and postcard-perfect. However, be prepared for a highly commercialized experience. Marzamemmi is now extremely touristy. While the ambiance is beautiful, it is completely focused on catering to visitors, which means the village often feels bustling and crowded. Crucially, we found the prices were very high compared to other surrounding towns and Sicilian locations. Expect to pay a premium for dining, drinks, and souvenirs here. Verdict: Marzamemmi is absolutely worth a visit for its unique beauty and history—it’s genuinely impressive. Just temper your expectations regarding crowds and costs, and perhaps aim for a time outside of peak hours to enjoy its ancient charm more peacefully.
A place so beautiful that it seems a fake, but I don't think it is, it is certainly well kept and it honors the past and the present... at every step. It is enchanting from sunrise to sunset, here you can breathe the flavor of Sicily and Italy. In the restaurants around there then the cuisine and the flavors are so wonderful. It is a day that I will never forget.
One of the most amazing and magical places I've ever been. It is as in a fairy tale. So much details and romance in one place - it's amazing. We also caught a full moon and it was magical. I recommend anyone who is in Sicily to visit it…

Immerse yourself in the story of Ramaddini. Guided tour through the old and new wine reserves and all production machines with bilingual narration by Corrado and Luisa. Great atmosphere, nice staff and experienced winemakers. Delicious wine served with local specialties. Firework in your mouth. Wines that perfectly capture the mood and flavors of southern Sicily.
Fabulous tour! Houda was informative and very knowledgeable. She gave us plenty of time to enjoy the wines and very generous complementary wine taster platters. I had never done a wine tour before, but my group had - and agreed it was a great way to spend time and learn about the local wine and olive oil in a beautiful authentic setting ⭐️
Fantastic! The platter and wine tasting menu is thoroughly enjoyable after the tour of the winery. Organic wines, marmalade, olive oil etc tasting like heaven. Passito tastes just like honey. They even have a menu for kids. Plenty of parking space available
What a special day spent with Sebastiano. He was very kind and knowledgeable , a generous tasting, beautiful wine and tasting terrace.
We had a pleasant wine tasting with Emanuela. Emanuela was very fast in reacting and answering our queries on whatsapp about the tour. We booked the €35 tour for 4pax. We had a great lunch/tour with her. It was educational and she answered our questions at the best of her ability. She was also kind of enough to let us taste some wines which are not in the tasting so we could purchase it. The food spread for the tasting was delicious when paired with the wines. We were happy with the tasting and our purchase.
We first came to Ramaddini in 2018 and have great memories of that experience so we wanted to return while we were in the area. The place has had a recent renovation with a fantastic new terrace upstairs. Our hostess was warm, friendly and knowledgable and the food was perfect. What disappointed us was the amount of wine, we had booked the tasting with 4 different wines, and we were given only a sad 1cm of wine in each glass. Of course at a tasting I don’t expect huge amounts of wine, but there wasn’t even enough to start enjoy the wine before it was already finished. Even if we added all four of these glasses together it wouldn’t have even made half a glass! I’ve done wine tastings across Sicily and also in Athens, Santorini, Australia, America etc and I have never had this problem before. And infact our previous visit to Ramaddini was not so strict with its portions. A little more generosity will make your customers much happier! The other negative thing for us was the lack of an elevator to reach the tasting (which happens upstairs), which causes difficulties for those with pushchairs or wheelchairs. This should either be clearly stated during the booking on the website, or ideally an external elevator which reaches the terrace would be perfect. Based on this recent visit I can’t say I would return again unfortunately.
We had a great experience with Luisa, which was very nice and extremely knowledgeable on both the history of the cellar and the wines. The tasting of wines and local cold cuts and cheeses were delicious. We ended up buying a few bottles at the end of the experience. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone in the area.
It's a very nice tour and a interesting part of history in making vine in Sicily for ages. Tasting special vines with appetizers is absolutely to recommend. Thanks for for getting some insights on the tour through the different parts and the hospitality in your vinery. We enjoyed the tour very much. Best, Matthias

Stunning beach umbrellas by a crystal clear water beach.
20€ for two beach chairs and an umbrella is a good price for the whole day but there was not even a discount when we arrived at 4 pm . I felt like they took more than they usually do when they heard that I don't speak Italian. This Beach Bar is not worth 4€ each small Beer and 20€ for 2/3 hours of chair rent. You get a cleaner beach, more ambitious staff and cheaper but still as good food just few kilometers from here. Also they expect international guests but can't even speak english which is the most ridiculous thing here. Edit: Thanks for the Answer. I don't know how this is any relatable with my problems I got but I get way better food and service in England for that prices. Nevertheless it was obvious that we were handled different than locals which was not the case near Siracusa or Palermo. I've been very thankful to be in Italy but your Lido was the worst I experienced. Take it like a man and make things better.
Not open. None existent
(Translated by Google) Lido with beautiful beach between Reitani and Marzamemi. Quick catering with both light dishes (salads, fruit salads, seafood salads) and more elaborate ones (excellent sweet and sour anchovies). Obviously you need to book umbrellas during peak periods. (Original) Lido con bella spiaggia tra Reitani e Marzamemi. Ristorazione veloce con piatti sia leggeri (insalate macedonie insalate di mare) che più elaborati (ottime le alici in agrodolce). Pretty little fishing village, cute places where to get yummy fish dishes and great ice cream. Mind the stray dogs, they don’t bite but they like to play with children.
3 stars are for the central square which is really beautiful and graphic but the rest of the area is not so good
Nice place to visit
(Translated by Google) Lovely place to visit at least once in your life. You can breathe in a magical and romantic scent that makes you forget the worries of everyday life. Every corner of this place is unique and enchanting. There are many places (bars, street food, restaurants, etc.) that overlook the square and the surrounding alleys. Furthermore, the local people are really very warm and courteous, ready to provide you with any information you need. I fell in love with it, I hope to return as soon as possible.

I absolutely love this place. Quaint restaurants, delicious food and a very nice place for a stroll in the evening, most souvenir shops remain open till late.
A magical place where history, nature, and tradition come together! The Antico Borgo dei Pescatori in Marzamemi is one of Sicily’s most enchanting spots — a timeless seaside village that tells the story of Mediterranean life. Once home to one of the most important tuna fisheries (tonnare) in the region, the village still echoes with the spirit of those who lived and worked by the sea. The old stone houses, the large and sunlit piazza, and the view over the Ionian coast create an atmosphere that’s both peaceful and deeply evocative. Its geographical position, right between Noto and the southern tip of Sicily, makes it a perfect stop for travelers in search of authenticity, beauty, and a touch of history. Highly recommended — a place you won’t forget!
If you're a fan of people watching, this place is ideal. Marzamemi is a must see even if you're just stopping by for a stop. It's piazza is beautiful with a few restaurants around and some local shops selling g authentic Sicilian ceramics and pottery.
Very nice little market place to enjoy lunch or dinner with local fish specialties; a pity that the local shops close quite early if you go there for dinner though
It's a beautiful place to visit in the evening after sunset. It's chic, clean, and has a pleasant, authentic atmosphere.
Beautiful square in Marzamemi, small indeed but full of colors and joy.
Nice piazza but very expensive to have a drink at the table. But if you want to get rest, there is no place but restaurants on that piazza.🤔Too hot because it is all under the sun, so that seems not much friendly.

(Translated by Google) Small village on the sea with a port and many characteristic places directly overlooking the sea. A stop at the best bakery where you can taste excellent cannoli, arancini and pizza is a must. The alleys and low houses make this village an enchanting place. In via Letizia there is an excellent bar to enjoy granita and brioche. You cannot visit Sicily without tasting the local gastronomic traditions. Food is part of tourism. (Original) Piccolo Borgo sul mare con porto e moltissimi locali caratteristici affacciati direttamente sul mare. Beautiful if small Baroque palace of the local landlord family. Upper part was previously a watch tower to keep an eye out for seabourne raiders, subsequently turned into a summer retreat for the family. Look for the rainspouts in the form if human heads, and for the symbol of the Spanish architect on one of the pilasters. The courtyard is sometimes accessible (especially during the Film Festival in September). Closed to the public but I believe the upstairs apartment can be rented as a luxury holiday home.
