An incredible place! The iconic early 20th-century architecture, along with a wonderful collection of modern and contemporary art, makes it truly special. There’s also a lovely restaurant. We discovered this museum by chance while passing through, and it turned out to be such a pleasant and unexpected find. I was so impressed and inspired by this museum that I would gladly come back here again on purpose.
Surprisingly this is one of the best museums I have ever visited. An exceptionally curated collection of art that keeps you seriously engaged during your visit. The set up to repurpose the public swimming pool, the architecture and inner gardens bring the whole experience to another level. A Must visit when in Lille.
If fashion, art, architecture, and striking industrial-era tales of France’s northern reaches sound like your thing, La Piscine is worth the visit. A lot of the installation offer both French and English descriptions. The staff here are super friendly. And if you’re carrying a bag, don’t forget to check it in before you go buy tickets! (Not a problem if you do, it’s just a minor inconvenience)
Wonderful place , not to miss , hop on metro from Lille to Roubaix ,few (12 )stops ride to be here . Easy 5-7 min walk from Roubaix station, well marked directions do was easy to find. Impressive museum where 1927 pool is converted into museum. It is really spectacular for its art collection of sculptures, paintings but also the nostalgic building of swimming pool with old structure being retained. It has a nice cafe too. Must visit if you are in Lille .
What a great idea to retain the original features of the swimming pool in this gallery. It is beautiful and unusual. The sound is relaxing and adds to the experience. I enjoyed the collection of contemporary ceramics, and learned more about the Roubaix artists. If I lived nearby I would come here often!
Amazing museum mainly due to the space itself.... and old swimming pool. All history about it is available at the entrance of the museum. Nice restaurant inside. You can learn about the local textile industry. Some of the art pieces are great.
This was one interesting and unique museum experience that I had and I have never had anything like it before the museum is inside a pool complex and the art pieces were very nice to look at some of the rooms where some art were displayed were a little bit tight, but otherwise the overall experience was nice and The building itself is very unique
It is important to look at art, to remind us of the precious moments, or moments or ideas that moved someone else, or to marvel at the barely-comprehensible potential of human skill. There are some absolutely incredible, mind-blowingly impressive perfect works of art at this museum which will restore unto you the will to live or unlock new previously unimaginable avenues of thought. Do go.

This park is a true Joie de vivre. The park is nice and clean and very big. I sat here eating lunch, watching the day go by. There are loads of trees, plants, lakes and benches in the park. If you're in the area, you have to come to this place. You will not be disappointed 😊
Lovely place. If you are looking for a place to relax this park is a must. So many trees and a lot of space to walk around. Nice views aswell.
Very pleasant place, a good escape in nature
Surely the most beautiful public garden in North of Paris 🙌
This is a very comfortable and beautiful park where people often come to take wedding photos. If you encounter a food truck selling ice cream and crepes, you can try it, it tastes very good.
A quiet place to visit in a charming city (lille - France).
Very beautiful park to play with the kids, take a walk, climb some trees. We took our skateboard and trottinettes and had lots of fun. There is also a beautiful lake in the park. Many people comes to celebrate their marriages. There is also a place to buy icecream, people makes picnic around. You can spend the whole afternoon enjoying the park and friends.
One of the not so hidden Roubaix gems. Spacious, very neat and well maintained, easy to access both by car and public transport (there are parking options around). The park is usually silent even if busy, and welcoming to all kinds of visitors, pets, families, groups of friends... Many weddings and wedding photoshoots during the spring/summer weekends.

Slide 1 of 8
Easy to access multiple-purpose shopping area with a vast variety of great chops to choose from, ranging from cosmetics to clothing and a lot more. Also, you can find a few food trucks for a quick ice cream or pancakes.
It seems a bit like the similar center in Paris, near to Disneyland but is has less super known brands. Anyway, very clean and safe, good services (parking, restaurants, quard squad) incredible prices!
I have to come and see for myself this outlet store that was recommended to me. Some stores have additional discount when you buy two items. I wish there were more cosmetic store. I bought a pair of shoe from Geox and two tops from Lacoste. Both store offers great prices. I will come back again. There are parking on the lower ground floor. When you make a purchase, they stamped your parking ticket which means you get parking for free. There are food trucks which we had for lunch and the prices are reasonable.
It was such a nice shopping experience. This place has some outlet shops with very good prices for shoes and clothes and they also have a lindt store that has the best hot chocolate ever. It was not crowded when I went there and you could very comfortably walk around the shopping place.
It's a nice shopping mall, not too big and not too small, but the prices are very reasonable.
Every time I come to Lille, I always make sure to come here. I love getting pick-your-own bag of Lindt balls and stock up on L’Oréal makeup I can’t get in the U.S. (Tattoo brows!) I also like to hit the Le Creuset store to see what new products are coming. some stores are expensive, but not all of them. Don’t be afraid to walk in and browse. Don’t forget to take the L8 bus to go to the factory outlets too!
Safe and really good mix of shop! Only bad point the coffee shop, prices are really hight and the woman who serve is so rude!!! I've been to Lindt for my coffee instead the coffee was better and I had a nice greeting and a chocolate on a top for free!!
Is nice place beautiful for shopping max 1 hour. The Wc 🚾 is horrible not clean👎🏻 The parking to small👎🏻👎🏻 so be careful don’t crash your car.

Visited the Roubaix Factory Outlet and had a great shopping experience. Picked up two pairs of Nike shoes at fantastic prices - lots of variety and good deals. The outlet is well-organized with a decent selection of brands like Nike, Adidas, Levi’s, and more. It wasn’t too crowded, which made browsing easy and stress-free. Staff were helpful and checkout was quick. A solid spot if you’re looking for branded items at a discount near Lille!
Love this place for its year-round discounted rates on clothes and other things. However, I do wish there were more shops for things and also more choices for food. There used to be a small play area for the kids but they have removed it.
Honestly saying I had expected more from this huge outletcenter but the brands they had to offer were not that interesting or prices where not that appealing. Overall was it at the end not worth to visit sorry to say. Also the outlet from Galeries Lafayette was to my opinion very dissapointing but that was as said my opinion for sure there will be others who find it terrific but not me. No then i find the McArthurGlen outlet center in Roermond Holland more worth to visit.
Reasonable range of outlet stores selling at discounted prices. Free parking on site. Most of the stores seem to be high end, so still not that cheap (for me). I was somewhat disappointed and left without buying anything
Good outlet place, very pratical to get there with buses, open 7/7 which is very nice compare to other malls
Good items. Take time to search in order to find good deals
We went several times to the nike shop for out kids and each time we found people taking and buying 20 or 30 pairs of Nike shoes and selling them on the parking from their cars or on markets! Leaving us consumers without any shoes left to buy from the store! They should have a rule saying max 5 shoes pp or something because the is is not normal!
Nice place despite the fact that outlet prices are a bit high

Despite catastrophic weather with incessant rain transforming everything into a quagmire, the experience was saved by the extraordinary team on site. They provided me with valuable assistance and demonstrated great professionalism. The security agency was perfect, the people working in the offices were warm and lovely, and I would particularly like to salute the cemetery manager, who came personally to make sure everything was going well and to provide me with valuable advice. Fascinating cultural center hosting events throughout the year and guided tours telling the history linked to the textile industry. Lovely roof garden worth visiting!
Very interesting arty place, easy, children welcomed. The building itself is an old "industrial place" turned cultural center. Many activities to be found and acted. Free price entry ticket, drinks availables, roaming on the roof area.
We went to the opening of the ‘custom skateboard show’ expo and it was amazing. Beautiful space and awesome event with cool art, skatepark, food trucks, concert beer. Top!
For me, this was disappointing after reading so much about it. Maybe it depends on the exhibits and one's own interests/likes?
Beautiful building with huge spaces. Great work of renewal of the old structure.
Totally understand what’s going on!! Very difficult just have a dad experience but the country it’s absolutely amazing. All clean and people are very friendly
Fantastic street art exhibition when I went, with great pieces from Kaws, Futura, Dondi etc. and entry was only €7! Staff were friendly and there's an outdoor area where you can sit on deckchairs and enjoy a beer. Would love to come back for one of their live events.

Nicest velodrome I've ridden on. Smoother than Los Angeles, CA and the Merckx Velodrome in Belgium which are the only other wooden indoor velodromes I've ridden.
Absolutely beautiful. Visited for the start of the cycling memorial tour. State of the art facility.
I'm writing here about the outdoor velodrome. This is open dawn to dusk every day, and open to everyone. And of course it is famous as the finish circuit for the bike race Paris-Roubaix. It's a wonderful location to go and ride and feel the history of more than a century of champions. Wonderful wonderful wonderful.
If you're a cycling fan this is an iconic place to visit, especially the shower block! 😂😂
Went to see Paris Roubaix . The stab velódromo is nice the outside velódromo is historic
Fantastic and iconic place. Place of one of the most recognizable cycling race finishes.
Had a cheeky ride round the old velodrome at Roubaix - you can feel the history and get a feel for what it must be like at the end of Paris - Roubaix (minus the thousands of cheering fans, road dirt, fatigue, etc.) Definitely one for the cycling fan, whether interested in the history of the sport or not!
Went to watch the finish of the 2013 Paris - Roubaix classic. You can smell and almost taste the history of the place

The reception staff is pleasant and I was able to have a quick appointment (less than 10 days), however on site I waited more than an hour, and a patient who was also waiting told me that it was common there (more than two hours once in her case according to her). So to know when we arrive: we don't really know when we leave. To mitigate the risk, you can always make an appointment first thing in the morning. On the other hand, regarding the doctor, while apparently extremely competent, he was also patient, friendly, very human and attentive, he took all the time necessary to help me, all without the slightest trace of this coldness or this arrogance that certain doctors too often display. I cannot judge the other practitioners in the office, but in any case if the other doctors who receive consultations there devote as much energy to helping their patients then I am very satisfied.

The building was reminiscent of a fortified castle and the factory was so large that it earned the nickname "monster spinning mill". Today only a fragment of the surrounding wall remains. However, at the time it was the symbol of technological innovation from across the channel. (Translated by Google) The World of Work Archives are located in an emblematic former textile factory in Roubaix that has been superbly restored. In addition to consulting company archives from all over France, the place offers exhibitions and guided tours, particularly based on these documents. Well presented and interesting, they are accessible to the general public but sometimes remain perhaps a little tight for more informed people. When leaving, you can take various documents free of charge, useful to remind you of or complete your visit.

What an epic location! The finish of Paris Roubaix, a race that has been in existence since 1896, longer than the Tour de France (1903.) Just outside the entrance and down the street is the last set of pave (cobblestones) the riders must cover before they swing into the Roubaix outdoor velodrome. There are the winners' names carved in stone commemorating over 100 yrs of racing. It was so fun riding around the velodrome!!
Iconic arena for the completion of the Paris-Roubaix womens and mens cycling event. Plenty of parking available - care with street closures. Food and drink typical of a sporting venue. Visit the shower block as this holds so much history related to the race.
As life long cycling fans we had to see it for ourselves while in the area. Everything was neat and tidy. The people were nice.
Great place to watch the finale of Paris Roubaix. Get there early for a good seat in the grandstand. You will be able to watch the race from giant TV screens. Security is tight, but you are allowed to bring in a sandwich and bottles of water. There are also a few beer stands, food vendors, and merchandise vendors, on the grounds once you get in. English is accepted, French preferred.
Arrived about 20minutes before the riders came in and there was plenty of spots for a good view.
Beautiful historical place on the must visit list for every cycling fan
Arrived on a Saturday hoping to cycle on the famous track. It was all open and free to get in. Nice atmosphere with other sports going on and families using it too.
What can I say, cycling nerd so this place was cool to visit. Didn’t ride on the track so I won’t attest to that. Folks at the cycling shop we’re very friendly and opened the doors for my friend and I to wander around inside and see all the memorabilia.

(Translated by Google) An inspiring visit to Parc Barbieux! It is a true temporal and sensory journey that Faustine offers us, mixing the history of Roubaix and reflection on perfumes and smells. Thanks to this visit I enriched myself culturally, obviously, but I also rediscovered a meaning that was sometimes neglected. This morning opened my mind and will accompany me for a long time and every day. I will eagerly follow the other visits of this young woman who is as pleasant as she is promising!! Many thanks again FAUSTINE!
(Translated by Google) Hello, I don't know about the physical reception at the Roubaix tourist office, but the phone service is a disaster: incomplete information, waiting times, the young woman doesn't remember the question I asked her... Requested a tour of the facade of Roubaix town hall for November.....told me to call back in November. I insist, told me to call back in October. Well.....
(Translated by Google) Nice office, however the young lady this Saturday couldn't tell me much. When we called, we got Lille, when we wanted socks from Les 3 tricoteurs, they told me that we had to go to the Lille Tourist Office. I went out, walked 10 meters, disappointed, and came across the famous open shop....phew, but you have to get up to speed. It's still a tourist office, not a bank.

What's not to like? French touch gold ⭐
Lovely building.
I only got the chance to look at the building from the outside and it was very pretty and the square in front of it is very nice as well
Very nice place to walk around, nice building.

Lovely museum with working machines and friendly staff! As it turns out we visited on a day where the museum was actually free to enter which was a lovely surprise (we made sure to buy some little bits in the gift shop to make up for it as we both loved the experience so much). The tours are not in English, but the staff were able to provide a tablet with videos of the your with English subtitles which worked perfectly. We were also able to observe other tours being shown around which meant we were able to see (and hear!) the machines working in person which was lovely!
Don't miss this splendid historical building transformed in a museum of sculptures, ceramic, paintings and textile samples from the last century. Plenty of free car parks at the weekend. Opens at 13 pm. It's about half an hour drive from Lille centre and also has a good restaurant. Then go to the manufacture in Roubaix, about 4 'mn drive , for a guided visit and demonstration of looms through the ages. Very interesting and helpful to understand the region and its importance and history.
Fantastic museum! If you can, get a tour as it provides context and demonstrations to the visit. Far more interesting than reading the panels yourself. Our guide was very knowledgeable.
Great friendly reception. Cycle parking inside the compound. Join tour in French or use free audio guide with English subtitles.... and keep in sight of a tour as many machines are demonstrated.
Brilliant museum of the technology of the textile industry. Could do with even more social history. Well worth a visit for all the machines on display.
Museum is small but very interesting. In a grand hall you can see different machine for produce textile.
Small but interesting museum with working exhibits to show how textiles were made. One to two hours would be sufficient to see everything
No English guided tours available (despite what website and leaflets say; they have a new guide who only speaks French). And main and most interesting exhibition can be accessed only with excursion. Wasted time

(Translated by Google) I like the different spaces of this unique and friendly place and particularly the cellar with its saltpeter-designed walls, the upstairs passageway with its nets and the old tiling on the ground floor. The atmosphere is friendly and good-natured and I am never disappointed by the works on display. During the night of the arts I particularly liked the different ceramic passages, original and powerful works.

Maybe we didn't know anyone, we stumbled upon the exhibition by chance, and we would have liked more explanations, but the works were really cool. As for the works, go there, I recommend it.
