Bagno Marino Archi is one of those rare places where everything just feels right, refined yet relaxed, scenic yet welcoming. Nestled along the Adriatic coast, it offers a truly special seaside experience. The setting is simply beautiful: natural rock formations meet sleek wooden decks, and the entire area feels thoughtfully designed to blend with the coastline rather than dominate it. The water is incredibly clear, inviting you for long swims or just quiet moments gazing out at the horizon. There’s a sense of calm sophistication here, not pretentious, just quietly elegant. Whether you're stretched out in the sun or enjoying a drink overlooking the sea, Bagno Marino Archi offers a perfect balance of comfort, nature, and style. If you’re exploring Salento and love beautiful places that feel both curated and authentic, this is a stop you won’t regret!
Not sure how to rate this place. The views are SPECTACULAR!!! The water is amazing (though beware of the jellyfish). The lounge chairs were a bit crowded in and this wasn't even high season. All of this in 4 to 5 star range. Then comes the restaurant.. oooof. They told us to reserve a seat to ensure we get timely service. So we did. 30 minutes to get our drinks. Almost 2 hours to get out pizza. Most other patrons came and left.. we kept asking and they kept saying 5 more minutes. This definitely marred our experience. Don't plan to eat here, and you'll be happier! 0 star for restaurant service but when the pizza arrived, it was delicious (so 5 star for the flavor of the pizza).
Bagno Marino Archi has a unique charm with a retro feel, almost like stepping back into the 1960s. The atmosphere is relaxed and with the right wind, as often happens in Salento, the sea is simply beautiful. What I really appreciated is how easy they make the access to the water: although it is set on rocks, there are platforms, ladders, and comfortable spaces that allow everyone to enjoy the sea without struggling on uneven stones. There is also a bar and a restaurant, which makes it easy to spend the whole day here without having to move around. Overall, it is a great place if you want to enjoy a calm day by the sea, with all the essentials at hand, a nice view, and an atmosphere that feels both authentic and timeless.
Bagno Marino Archi feels authentic as it gets for a summer beach vibe. An absolute gem of a swimming area with giant floats and rocks to climb on all around the coast and the club. Food stops early, bar stays open. It’s a nice touch having the umbrella stand that has a free lock system that you can put stuff in and enjoy the water. There’s a few levels to the place but I can see how it gets incredibly packed. Important thing to remember is that this isn’t a luxury resort beach club but a unique family friendly summer club with a unique cliff side setting. 10/10 would recommend. Try and come early to get a lower level front row day bed and umbrella. Full vlog coming soon on YT for leave the resort cheers
-04.06.2025- Two sun beds + an umbrella cost 36 eur, and I think their menu is fairly priced compared to other private beaches in Monopoli-Fasano area. You can ask the restaurant for take away and eat & drink while you sunbathe downstairs :-)
Unbelievably beautiful! Definitely worth a stop if you’re staying in or around Lecce. Not packed, especially not with tourists, people were nice and friendly, kids playing, just enjoying their day and the beautiful views.
This is the best place ever, the topography is very impressive! The water is so clear and you can spend hours snorkeling around the nearby coves. Also great lunch! We spent the day with two sunbeds and it was well worth it. Can’t wait to come back :)
Beautiful location and shockingly good food! Book in advance to get a lounger in the front row. Service is also a bit slow but if you relax you will have a great time and great meal.

great hotel, amazing views, stunning pools with sea water fiew steps from the hotel
We stayed 1 hour at most after paying eur68 for a sun umbrella and three sun beds we didn't even bother to use. Water of the pools looks nice only from the outside, inside is dirty. The floor of the pools is dangerous. My daughter got a cut on her ankle. Toilets are dirty despite there were very few customers and it was only morning on a week day, rusty doors, no bins in the toilets, toilet doors not closing. Next to the supposedly nice bio pools there are two pools with brown water with water pipes feeding them. It's absolutely disgusting. I have never seen anything like that in my life. We were so appalled by what we saw that we left after less than 1hour. Please don't go. Consider going next to it : "Augustus beach" which looks much much nicer with clean water, fresh shades from real plants/ trees and nice wide sun umbrella.
After a nice lunch we wanted to have a couple of drinks at the pool. Unfortunately they wanted to charge us €30.00 for sitting at the pool. What a shame especially since there were hardly any guests.
I would recommend bringing your own food, but you aren't allowed. That being said, you are forced to eat at the only restaurant at the resort. We sit down and, after begging for menus, we finally order. We wait an hour and start to notice other tables that arrived after us are eating. I stop a waiter to ask what the issue is, and he comes back later to say they had lost our order. Three salads, an eggplant Parmesan, and some deep-fried calamari. Twenty minutes later, we are served. Do you think they acknowledged the situation, apologized, or offered a complimentary coffee or limoncello? Nothing. I don't expect anything, ever, but to not apologize after such a blatant mistake is inexcusable. This is preposterous behavior at best—arrogant and selfish. You won't catch me here ever again. Also, avoid the waitress Celeste at all costs—she can't be trusted.
Pools were nice. Bit rough on the feet but good to chill and swim. I didn't understand the dj blasting music out at 12 in the afternoon when there was only three of us by the pool. But maybe I'm just an old man. So all in all worth a visit.
Using old stinky oil, smells so so bad on all the area
Great pool areas; both adults and children sections. The sun loungers are very comfortable. Food and drinks available. The pool is salt water and the views are amazing. Highly recommended.

Beautiful place, with clear light blue water. In the bay there is the beach and some platforms carved into the rocks where you can stay. The bay protects from the wind, which could be good in windy days but not desirable in really hot days.
Portomigiano in Santa Cesarea Terme is a true hidden gem — a little slice of paradise where you can swim in a natural pool with enchanting turquoise and emerald colors, surrounded by dramatic rocky cliffs and golden stone walls. The seabed is dotted with rocks, and the crystal-clear water lets you see every detail below. While it can get quite crowded in the summer months, if you visit outside peak tourist season, you’ll experience a truly magical and peaceful place. One of its best features is that it’s almost always beautiful: being sheltered, it often offers calm, transparent water even when the wind picks up elsewhere. Keep in mind that, since it has been left very wild, you either need to jump in from the rocks or do a bit of trekking to reach the small, hidden beach. This spot is absolutely worth a visit if you’re looking for raw serenity and stunning natural beauty.
Parking 🅿️ 5 euros per day. Free beach but no shade. Water Cristal clear and beautiful cave. Worthy to come for swim and drive back home
You enter by parking your car in the parking lot of the restaurant whose sign you can see. After leaving the car there, you go down a staircase of about fifty steps and you arrive at a hidden beach with steps and rocks. Continuing to the right and passing the rocks on the right, you arrive at a small sandy and rocky beach where you can swim undisturbed. Wonderful discovery!
Personally I don't like rocky beaches. This is only rocks, no sand not even a meter. It's beautiful to look at, but that's all.
Fantastic! If you are a nature lover you will really appreciate this absolutely beautiful location! The beach is perfect for swimming and snorkeling. Recommend for all ages since you have very shallow water pools, perfect for the little ones. Make sure to bring protection for the sun since there is not much natural shade.
My favorite beach in this area, maybe of all of Salento. Cristal clear water, lots of fish if you love snorkeling. The colors of the water are simply stunning. Places are limited, so I would recommend to go there as soon in the morning as possible.
Water is amazing, there is a small cave to dive in. The only down side is the tricky navigation on the rocks and it can get very crowded during the summer.

Very nice. Quiet when we were there and had a bit of freedom to move sun beds. If it's busy, space limited. American pool is fantastic to swim in.
Beautiful lido with great view. 2 beds and an umbrella and entrance fee was €29 for both of us for the day. Nice Cafe on site too. Very relaxing and no sand!
Clean water, reasonable prices
Today: the place is nice but the service in the restaurant is very bad… only one girl working, she takes the order and does the payment. She was in a VERY bad mood. Going in vacation to be treated like that, is better not to go. The restaurant was empty, people were complaining… Won’t comeback and won’t tell friends to go there. Also, they didn’t have half of the menu.
Stunning bathing area, get there early though as gets busy busy with limited space. Lovely cafe/restaurant serving the area. Such a lovely way to enjoy the sea but with with modern amenities at close proximity.
Wonderful location but very bad restaurant and surveillance, on top bathroom facilitiesrs were very dirty. We paid - quite a lot- for a seat and we found it occupied once we went to swim.

Moorish revival Palazzo on the Adriatic. Proof that the world indeed has a complex history and there is evidence everywhere. While not an original moorish building (Alhambra, etc) it’s architectural appointments echo the style beautifully. It is being restored, and is a private residence, so no public access inside. So what? Go!! . Hey, ya gotta live somewhere! 🕌🇮🇹🌊
Worth to visit. Beautiful place.
It is very beautiful here, the environment is great, and the tranquility and kindness of the people, everything that is in Italy, I see Italy as a necessary place that we should take care of.🤗
Very nice place for pictures! Nothing else! If you are close by, it worth a visit! But not to travel 200-300km for a Picture, it will be a mistake!
Sadly it was closed for renovations. But looks great from the outside

Great breakfast, close to the beach in a beautiful historic manor that still retains a lot of gorgeous and quaint. Villa Raffaella is charming with some nice modern touches and fabulous service to boot. The guy checking us in was so helpful, reserved a parking space for us and rolled out the red carpet. Breakfast was fabulous with lots of local delicacies on hand to try. We got a massive room (our biggest after 2.5 weeks in Italy) with an interesting shower. Service from every staff member was amazing and provided such friendly service that would be expected from a 5 star hotel! They could do more with the rooftop and would've been nice to get a second level room with a view rather than the ground floor.
Gabriella was very friendly, have is a beautiful room and helped with our inquiries. The weather was atrocious, pouring with rain, only one bar open and we spent hours relaxing in our room. The breakfast was wonderful. Great coffee, cold meats, toast.
Terrible accommodation. The staff is not helpful at all. Rooms full of insects. Bad smell in the room. Old bathroom. Asked for tea, brought us lukewarm water and charged €5. I do not recommend it to anyone
Built for a baroness in the 1800s, Villa Raffaella is a stunning piece of architecture waiting to host you for an unforgettable vacation
Very bad, lots of bugs and caterpillars in the room. Also a horrible, heavy and pungent smell in the room. We asked at the reception to change our room, they told us all the rooms are the same, but if we want to change we have to pay an extra €50! The breakfast is poor!
Historic beautiful guesthouse, named after the the original owner's wife. Basic rooms for basic prices. Tiny bathroom and shower, good bed. Get in early for a table outside at breakfast (this was early October). Friendly caretaker, who will share some dinner options nearby. Sunday morning you will hear the sounds from the small market opposite.
This is an amazing hotel!!! Beautiful rooms, amazing location (you can walk everywhere in the town) and delicious breakfast. The staff was amazing - they spoke English and helped us with everything. I would come back for sure and recommend this place to anyone. Thank you Villa Raffaella for a WONDERFUL stay!!!
Haven’t even had the possibility to stay there, as I had booked for a whole week and once called the hotel they said my booking had not gone through to them even though booking said it was confirmed. Also once we had paid an extra 60£ fee for the triple room with kitchen, the owner that I had called myself said that we had to pay an extra 10£ a day to use the kitchen. I mean if we have booked via booking a room with a kitchen it is weird they asked me for extra 10£ a day to use it? Also booking had no trace what so ever about this extra fee, and also I had to ask all questions myself or I would have found out once there. I have cancelled my trip and most definitely will be putting this property on my blacklist. Rude and disorganised.

Sulfur pool with view and direct access to the sea. It is possible to swim unti thel sulfur cave, only accessible by the sea, a must see. Access to the pool is 5 euros, head cap compulsory (2 euros) but do not go there before 5PM unless you want to be cooked by the sun. It is possible to rent beach umbrella and deck chair (about 30 euros for 4 chairs and 2 umbrellas). It is also possible to access sulfur cave by the side of the pool building, but you must wear swimming shoes, access to the sea being rocky and slippy.
Place deserves 1 star for the food at the cafe, which was very good. I had unpleasant experience with bagnino who was telling me to change an umbrella after half of the day because he made a „mistake“. I don’t think it’s appropriate in general since I paid full price for everything - he could find a solution without moving me or find appropriate way to apologize- he didn’t even help me to move my things. Big number of sunbeds were empty during this particular day. I did not come back during my stay.
Out of peak time this was a very restful place and not expensive.
Very nice, didn't do the pool but lovely bathing area down the steps. Beautiful clear blue water. Food nice, staff excellent, sulphur can be a bit smelly but well worth a visit.
It's a great lido. All other lidos in the area had no spots left, and broken showers except this one. So for sure the best!

La Torre de Tapas is a tapas restaurant in the heart of Santa Cesarea Terme. The owner, a Spanish chef, combines Spanish and Italian flavors to create delicious and innovative tapas. The menu is extensive, with something for everyone to enjoy. The patatas bravas were also excellent with a very good aioli, I was stunned to find this in Italy! Tuna in a pistachio crust is delicious and I recommend this one! The service at La Torre de Tapas is friendly and attentive. The staff is happy to make recommendations and help you choose the perfect dishes. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the restaurant is a great place to enjoy a meal with friends or family. Overall, I had a wonderful experience at La Torre de Tapas. The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere was perfect. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great tapas experience in Santa Cesarea Terme.
Very warm welcome, small dog well accepted. Simple but very well-managed menu, delicious and well-presented dishes, very pleasant 'original' service.
We came a bit after 8PM without any reservation on Saturday night. The crew was super friendly, and they made a table available for us (4person) even when the place was full. We had to wait about an hour for the food, but since it was during the rush hour it was absolutely acceptable. The food was delicious, and super fresh. They didn't put any service fee, etc on the bill, so we payed for the food (Tuna steak, etc) beers and wines 90EUR. We were very pleased about the whole service, especially after we couldn't even get any table at other places because we had no reservation.
Terrible overpriced food. Orecchiete with bland flavorless tomato sauce that clearly came out of a jar. Tiny fish fillet. Not fresh. Served with salad also clearly dumped from a bag. Frozen tiramisu. Horrendous meal for €25. Avoid.
No frills place to sip some wine, enjoy a cheap pizza and take in the view. Enjoyed a decently delicious mushroom pizza. Previous reviews mentioned frozen fish, which is somewhat common if the type is not locally caught, but all frozen meals are clearly marked on the menu. Simply, La Torre is a simple place that offers a straight forward meal.
I had something been meaning to try for decades. Pizza friut di mare. The 4 shrimp were huge with mussels and clams. I asked they not put any other item of fish on it so not sure if there was any. Likely calamari is my guess . Anyway its just me i guess fish with cheeese is strange and because shell fish give off some water pizza was bit soggy.. Anyway place has ocean view and good prices still worth a visit . And if you never had a seafood pizza i suggest splitting it , its not bad just not to my liking is all
Great, well cooked food with gluten-free alternatives. Friendly, smiling staff with super service.
