We really enjoyed the farm. There were lots to do and lots to see. It has an indoor play area, which was huge and our toddler loved it! They also have multiple outdoor play areas and some bouncy part too, it’s great that it includes all different ages. There is something for everyone to enjoy.
Fantastic day at the farm with the kids they enjoyed all the playground areas and feeding the animals, definitely recommend this place. Excellent value for money, could easy spend the full day here. They have both indoor and outdoor play areas. Was quite busy today however there was plenty for the kids to do.
Absolutely loved this place. Loads of stuff for the kids to do although the weather does permit outdoor activities . The indoor soft play area is huge and the kids could easily spend half a day inside. The price is reasonable with £12 for kids and just £3 for adults( which if your kids can do everything you will be sat on the benches dotted about) There is a restaurant on site and table dotted around for picnics. The corn maze is ok and animals are dotted around.
It’s an amazing place to visit for both kids and adults. Just remember, there is an entry fee: £11 for children and £3 for adults. There’s plenty to do, including swings, slides, and go-karting! You can easily spend half a day to a full day there without a doubt. We even made a picnic out of it, and it was great! 👍 And yes, there's a garden center there as well. Which is a bonus.
Great day out. There are loads of activity’s to from a very large soft play area to a number of outdoor activities such as tunnel maze, inflatables, and plenty of animals to see. The site is well maintained with loads of parking spaces. In the winter or wet days it does get a little muddy but it expected being a farm. Also the wooden features can be slippy so I would take care. definitely worth every penny. Some constructive feedback, I think the entrance from the car park should be sign posted a little better but that’s all I got it’s a spot on day.
This place is sick. I will go back time and time again. I went with a school trip. I thought 11.99 per learner was going to be steep but it’s actually well worth it as there is so much to do. The shop was great and everything was good quality and a decent price. The bouncing pillows are a great idea and were everybody’s favourite. The
Brilliant day out! I had been looking at this place for a while but was unsure how good it would be. It was easy to find, there is plenty of parking, and it's cheap to go into the play areas (£11.99 per child and £2.99 per adult). I didn't see any disabled spaces, but there are no parking bays so you can leave a space next to the car for wheelchairs/pushchairs access. The car parking areas are well maintained, but are grass/dirt which might not be suitable for all wheelchairs. We went when it was really busy (hot day in the summer holidays) and it wasn't too busy. There are lots of well maintained paths around making it easy to navigate with disability aids (I myself use a stick and had no issues). There is a reasonably priced cafe, farm shop and concessions stand as well. You can also bring a picnic and there are plenty of benches/tables around to eat at! There are also lots of benches/seats in and around the play areas so it's easy to keep an eye on the kids and not have to be too far away. There are various types of play. areas for kids from toddlers to older kids. My son is 5 and he had a brilliant day! The staff around the farm are really friendly, and they look after the grounds so well with regular bin emptying, litter picking and tidying. Well worth the low cost to get in! We will definitely be visiting again! You can buy animal feed for £1 per bag at the entrance (reasonable bag size for the low price) to feed various farm animals on the way round. There are goats, ducks, geese, Free-roaming chickens, cows, horses, and pigs. Overall, I would easily give the farm 5 stars. It is a wonderful place to visit with the kids to get them off their tablets/devices and get them outdoors!
Great for kids , multiple play parks , animals to see, inside play area too , cafe , gift shop , trampoline area , plenty of seats for a picnic area , pumpkin patch was way bigger than I expected , wheel barrow are free to use , plenty of different toys for the kids to play with (tractors / pedal bikes) and different areas

Lovely nature reserve with surprisingly great locally made ice cream and milk shakes available from served and self-serve kiosk. Nice gentle 1.4km route round the lake suitable for everyone, including wheelchairs, more trails through the woods and for the more active orienteering routes available. Pity it requires a car to get there - but worth the trip and the right type of busy on a recent visit on Easter Sunday.
Stunning place to walk. Not too far and plenty of rest spots, picnic benches and toilets are available. We saw ducklings catching midges, carp basking in the warm shallows of the lake and lots of butterflies and bees. Well worth an afternoon out.
Amazing place! Pay and display car park. Various lakeside and woodland walks, that are accessible and well signposted. So many birds to identify! A lovely, family and dog friendly place.
First visit today & will definitely be coming back. Fantastic walk with lots to see. The path we walked was quite flat, suitable for wheelchair users & prams. Convenient parking too.
As you travel from Sandbach to Congleton you'll pick up the sign for Brereton follow this road until you reach the car park which is on the left hand side. Ample parking that's around £2. Your right next to the lake. Many years ago we use to go swimming here but that's not allowed now. Toilets can be found on sight and there's also a cafe across the road at the cow shed. Dogs are allowed many locals come here for a stroll or a good walk around the lake and in the woods. Very well kepted area and well worth a visit. Ideal if you want have a picnic. Definitely recommend Brereton Heath.
This place is just beautiful. Full of silver birch trees and so many different circular walks. My dog loves it and so do I. A perfect place for an off lead dog walk with lots of friendly doggies around to play with. There is somewhere to get a coffee too but I haven’t tried it yet.
It's a lovely lake and a nice easy walk around the lake. And it has paths leading off to other walks through the woodland. So you can make your walk as big or small as you like. Lots of nature trails and lots of things the kids can spot along the way. The little cow shed next door to the reserve so you can grab a cuppa. Card only. Oakhanger project's is how I came to know the place through kayaking and canoeing. Which I found through Walk talk action. Which you can also find on Facebook and get involved for people of all ages
It's a nice space, but bewildering to have dogs running loose everywhere in a nature reserve ! Surprisingly few species of water birds , considering the size of the lake. Not really worth visiting as a true nature reserve but nice as a public park.

The Potters Barn hosted an inspiring pottery experience for a group of beginners during a staff away day hosted at Keele Uni campus. It was superb - a chance to try the wheel, hand build and decorate. Big thanks to Andrew for creating a relaxing and warm atmosphere. It was an added bonus when the fired pots arrived in the post a few weeks later. I would really recommend this for any groups looking for an introduction to the world of pottery or to try something new as a team. Thank you Potters Barn!
A wonderful hidden gem of a place - welcoming to beginners and experienced potters alike. I've been going to the Thursday evening class for over 10 years now, and Andy and Steve are brilliant. Their knowledge is second to none and they are always helpful. The one off day classes are also fantastic for getting a taste of both throwing on the wheel and hand building.
I have been visiting The Potters Barn weekly for many years. I wanted to learn how to throw pots and was very lucky to find Andy & Steve who are both professional potters. It’s a friendly and relaxing place to learn a new craft or to continue on your journey with clay. I have met lifelong friends here & have also enjoyed their taster sessions and some wonderful Raku days. I can highly recommend The Potters Barn. x
Well worth a visit! Never done this before but most relaxing day out I've had in ages! Thank you both again!
What a great experience. I did the short session which is 2 hours long and covers a range of different pottery techniques - which I won't spoil, but more details are on the website if you want to book. You can take a drink but don't need anything else, an apron and all the tools are provided. Wear something short sleeved or where the sleeves can be rolled up as it can get a little messy. Our teacher was great, full of facts and knowledge from his experiences. The pieces you make and want to keep and be fired for a small additional cost per piece or can be taken home to dry naturally and then painted. Anything you don't want can be left and is recycled. There's parking outside the barn too. Would 100% recommend for a bit of fun.
W did painting and model building with our 5 yr and 7 yr old Grandchildren a few months ago. It can be at a level that the kiddies do their own or you help along, you stay to supervise them. There are around 7 or 8 activity tables so it is best to call in advance to ensure there is space to join in. Downstairs is a small pottery studio so definitely ring in advance to check when a session is available. The proprietor allows you to choose the activity at your own pace in a relaxed environment. The kiddies clearly enjoyed it as they remembered and asked to go again. Now the older one is 8 yrs old she is keen to give the pottery activity a go while the younger one wants to paint again. Speaks for itself!
Wow! Brought my 11 year daughter for her second visit today and it was equally as good as the first time! There's pot painting, playing with clay and (her favourite) using a Potters Wheel. Under very gentle (but expert) guidance she has produced two lovely shaped pots with instructions for drying and painting. Well worth a visit
This was a lovely place to visit. We made clay animals and then painted some pottery. It's down a little narrow road so be careful driving down, not all road users are considerate. The prices are good and the owner is nice and friendly. Would recommend. You have to book in advance for the potters wheel which I wasn't aware of.

Visited on the back from a holiday in North Wales. These are some of the best preserved Saxon Crosses in the UK. Small info plaques mounted to the wooden balustrades surrounding the crosses explain the imagery. There is also an English Heritage board set further back.
Wonder off the main roads and stop off in the villages up and down the country and you'll find little gems like this. The crosses are awesome, and the details on them are still relatively clear. There are also some lovely little information boards that help you get a better understanding of the importance of the crosses. Personally I think things like these are a must-see for everyone.
M6 travellers interested in history and/or anglo-saxon period: it’s a 5’ detour from the motorway junction. Take a break against tiredness and have a tea with a view at the town square.
Lovely area to stop and have five. There are lots of little eating places. Sitting outside watching the world go by. We were treated by a local Vespers club turned up for pizza. Felt life we were on holiday for an hour or two.
Large Saxon stone crosses situated in an attractive market square, with information posts explaining the carvings and details. Free to visit and worth stopping by if you're in the area.
lovely historical monument in the middle of town, free of charge, well preserved.
Interesting piece of history. The information panels that explain the different images and their meanings are useful. Worth a look if you are nearby

We visited Casa Mia recently through a recommendation and hearing good things about this place. We had such a great time and have booked for a forthcoming event. We received such a great welcome from the Owner Lello & his Team and the fantastic service carried on throughout our time. This was a 3 course meal event and each course was beautifully described by either Lello or the Chef. We had an appetiser that was a small piece of bread with sundried tomatoes and olives and it was very yummy! Our first course was a beautiful dish that originated prior to Bruschetta! This was served with a creamy burrata and tomatoes and was so very tasty! Our Main was a rustic, tuscan beef stew with roasted potatoes and other vegetables and I really do love a stew and this was probably the finest I have ever eaten. Mrs K, being a vegetarian enjoyed the Vegetarian version with Quorn but was also told that if that wasn't to her liking she could choose something from the menu. Our sweet was a beautiful array of Chocolate, Raspberry sorbet and various orbs of different flavours that played a melody on our taste buds. As if this wasn't enough they also had a fab musician called "Lisa T" playing a range of chilled classics along with some of her own tunes. We had such a great night and we have booked the next event in the Calendar but I don't think we can wait that long so we will be going back in the next couple of weeks! Amo questo ristorante
Brilliant overall. Service was friendly and very helpful with allergies, food was fantastic. Very clean and well set up. Highly highly recommend.
We had an amazing experience here for a belated Father's Day meal, mid-week in June. We were treated to some lovely family recipes, a spread of antipasti to share for 6 of us was amazing! We will definitely be back!
Not sure what Kevin was doing in the kitchen but this food was hands down the worst Italian I’ve had. The bruschetta was chopped tomatoes and onion on a small slice of seeded toast £6, my white bait and calamari was ok although the white bait was worryingly strong flavoured. Mains, fusilli with chicken and bacon came as a child’s portion of watery pasta with chicken and the linguine seafood was quite frankly dangerous. Uncooked and uncleaned prawns, the one piece of calamari (1” long) was rubbery and had a black spot. 3 mussels, 2 were bad and that’s it, so I left and told the server the problem. Charged full for the whole meal
What a lovely meal! The pappardelle with mushroom was delicious. Pistachio creme brulee super. Service efficient and friendly. Good value too.. Highly recommend.
Evening spoilt by two male members of staff talking to two other males and a female sitting at the next table. As the male members of staff were at the bar the others were talking over us in loud voices making it hard for us to have a decent conversation.....not impressed!
Delicious food, very nice ambiance, owners and staff are sincerely friendly. This is one of the best Italian restaurants I've had the pleasure of dining at. Every dish so far has exceeded my expectation. I cannot imagine not having a fantastic dining experience here. The food is made fresh to order, so enjoy some wine or cold beer while you wait. The calamari is also exceptional. So far I e loved the carbonara, the lasagna, and most recent had a special from the board which was Sole in asparagus cream sauce. It was beautiful!
Loved our meal here. I had the special, lobster and chips and it was unbelievable. They have just renovated and it looks beautiful! So impressed with all the food we had and the staff are lovely

Great to have such a park locally. Always great walking passages and playing area.
It is a public park with beautiful flowers.
So lucky that this public space is a 15 min drive or 25 min walk from where I live. Today's visit was to take a family member's dog for a walk. Parked on the common, carried Tilly to the park to protect her pads. Then we went for a circuit of the main park on the grass. Stop off in the shade of trees, drink of water from her bowl. Return journey through the gated water meadow garden before taking up a chillaxation spot on one of the picnic benches. Here Tilly loved watching the kids on the Zip Wire zooming back and to. I always keep her on a lead as there are toddlers, young children as well as people who don't appreciate the close up attention of even a small well meaning dog. Great 1½hrs spent enjoying this beautifully equipped and maintained park. Well done Cheshire East Parks & Recreation Department.
Great park. Loved the fact it had play parks for different age children, a bowling green and an outdoor fitness gym. There are plenty of paths to explore the park and a pool at the bottom of the park with a walkway bridge, including a platform to allow pond dipping activities . Great to see people gathered on the large grass area chatting and doing fun leisure activities, and people dog walking and wandering through the park. A very clean and pleasant park that is well used by the public.
Great park to leisurely walk round, children's park, bowling greens, woodland walk great open spaces to sit and relax
Lovely place for children and alike , if you bring your dogs here please think of others and clean your poo up as some forget :-{ there a lovely park section ideal with different apparatus for older children, and a seperate section next door for the younger children. There's also the basket ball nets and tennis courts, just bring your tennis rackets and ball, its also free to use. Also a free table tennis table just bring your bats and ball. Also free exercise in the park equipment. There's a lovely wildlife walk where you can do pond dipping. Can spend a day here if weather is nice. There's also bowls for the older generation. It's right by the town, so can walk into the town as well to have a look round while your there , also free parking on the commons, but not a lot of parking generally so may have to drive around to find a space .
Nice park, lots of nature trees, which on a hot day are great to sit under. There is a lake with a wooden walkway. Unfortunately it is very overgrown and smelly at the moment. Hopefully once the pandemic is over it will return to its former glory. Photo is of the beautiful blossom on the horse chestnut trees.
It's a small compact park include tennis, basketball court and tennis table but would be good to get more waste bins

A stunning church sitting in the centre of Sandbach Town centre. The people that work within the Church are friendly and happy to discuss the history. Highly recommend visiting for a Sunday service.
Visit on Thursday, Market Day, to meet friends for coffee. Very nice, lovely home made cakes.Open 10.00am to 12.00 noon.
Rev. Bee Boyde did the most lovely service and baptism for our son on Sunday. She was engaging and interactive with our young family, and we can’t thank her and Ruth enough for helping make his day so special and for letting us have the baptism in the beautiful St Mary’s Church.
Historic, Sandstone Church in the Market town of Sandbach. If you are visiting the town it's worth a look. Not recommended for a specific visit unless ecclesiastical buildings is your thing.
St Mary's if Sandbach is Church of England in the diocese of Chester. The church was shut when I visited so review is based on the externals. There are some interesting fragments of the Anglo-Saxon crosses that move moved from the market square for extra protection.
Had to go for a very sad occasion, but a really lovely church. Originally built in 1068 (2 years after the Norman conquest) , then rebuilt in the early 17th century . A very nice church, if you are in the area give it a visit, if you enjoy churches. Evidently the oldest known grave stone is 1660.
Lovely vicar's, offers Tea's, coffee and biscuits after service, and even as a Thursday Tea's in the Church Hall between 9am-12:30/1pm selling cake, sandwiches, teas, coffee, tea cakes, toast.
Very interesting church , with a big Graveyard around the Church.

The access to the ballroom as two options to get up there, the elegant stairs or the lift. The Ballroom as plenty of room and a stage and a decent size room for dancing on. it as a good sized kitchen for meals to be cooked in. And good size worktops to bring your own buffet to an event. You can higher the room and kitchen, and would be ideal to book a wedding reception in or an entertainment in the morning, day or evening you could even book an event there. They have a good size cloakroom. And that just is with the Ballroom.
Some great stalls and lovely traders at Sandbach Market Hall. Lots of lovely hand made crafts, collectables, food, clothes, records, but to mention a few. I would recommend visit and support your local traders or just pop down for a coffee, a mooch and maybe even a chat and a bit of banter....
Busy day for my first time as a stall holder. Really enjoyed it, great variety of stalls. All so friendly.
We had our wedding reception at Sandbach Town Hall last week. We had everything we needed, and the staff on hand (Molly and Katy) were super helpful answering any questions, and helping to make sure everything ran on time. They were responsive to emails and questions in the run up to the wedding, and were very helpful with confirming all details with suppliers before the day. All of our guests enjoyed the Town Hall as a venue, and the bar was very popular!
We have church in the Town hall on Sunday nights. There are new tables to sit around & chairs are reasonable. Everything is put out for us & put away. We don't have to do anything. Staff are very helpful. There's an easy lift to use for a wheelchair user so no access problems. Always clean toilets. Then there's Sandbach cinema held there with various films showing quite regularly. Drinks from the bar are reasonable if hiring for a social gathering. Sweets & crisps are sold before the film is put on. We're very fortunate to have such a welcoming place.
Have been coming here for the Hot Spot Comedy Club forward few years now. Its a lovely venue and always brings a great atmosphere. Great for functions with its wow factor room! Comedy night always a treat too!
We recently had our wedding at Sandbach Town Hall and we have to say we had an amazing experience. Thank you to Sophie for all she did to help us have an amazing day and thank you to Jane and the rest of the staff too.
It's a lovely village market with plenty of independent traders. The food at the indoor café was very tasty and very popular.

Excellent facilities for a tier 10 club. Plenty of free parking on a clean hard-core surface and overspill parking if required. Admission price £6 and a reduction for seniors and children. Food and drink are available from The Crossbar and it was very busy. There are two small stands, which have approximately 24 seats in each. There are toilets within the clubhouse. Enjoyed my visit and watched a 3-1 home win.
Excellent day out watching sandbach united for the first time, the cross bar is excellent for food and drinks and everyone was so friendly, home and aways fans, shall go again
Dismal weather didn't stop our visit being a brilliant experience Such a friendly welcoming Club with excellent facilities. A good bar and food was great. Probably the best burger so far this Season so looking forward to going back soon. Plenty of helpful volunteers as well help make it a fantastic place to visit.
Two years d running, the club’s junior football tournament gave our lads a great day of games against top teams from around the region. Timings weren’t as advertised, so felt a little chaotic, with Ref for final severely delayed. Food offer works well, but I wouldn’t want to watch Sandbach United on a really wet day, as there’s only a tiny stand for shelter in the rain, or strong sunshine.
Excellent facilities. Main grass pitch wasnt the best but he 3G pitches were fine. Nice club house and bar serving a good selection of beers, ciders and extra cold Guinness as well as a good choice of soft drinks. Shame about all the wasps. Lots of traps out but they just kept terrorising everyone.
Great day watching the might cheadle town , nice ground for the level , staff / volunteers did an excellent job on a busy day
Great pitches for grassroots football And great facilities

Lovely church down a thin country lane car park is round the corner. Nice country setting. I go to a lot cemetery’s that are like plough fields and unloved this church is perfect even old 1800 graves are clean and tidy. Its a credit to the church to have fine kept grounds
Beautiful church, beautiful people. We are getting married here next year.
What a beautiful church in a rural Cheshire location, plenty of parking, ideal venue for a marriage as location gives plenty of scope for some great album photos. A must visit from me.
A gorgeous church set in a rural location. Well worth a visit, and a great place to have a Wedding!
They have an excellent car park where people can go before going round the quarry. A small donation is asked very fair
Strange thing to review. Beautiful church. Best in the area, as far as I know. Pleasant congregation.
Super, peaceful place.
Nice old church kept really well
