Wonderful place. Need an entire day to visit. The most shocking and beautiful part is the view of the Embalse Valle Grande from the top along the road to the canyon. The best view is in the first half of the day.
Nice for river rafting or just sitting around but that’s about it. No hiking trails we could find.
Very beautiful canyon in Mendoza province. It’s cool to drive on a car inside canyon and after that enjoy in the lake where you can rent SUP and kayak!
From San Rafael, the canyon is about 1 hour drive away and can be visited without booking a tour. The best option is to have a car to drive in the canyon. The road is not paved but is passable cautiously. The best is to plan the day there with a picnic like many local people and to stop wherever you want. The canyon offers various incredible spot.
From San Raphael bus terminal take the public bus (250 pesos) to the last stop which requires you only to walk to canon Atel for 30min (mirador). I suggest to take the 7h20 am bus for great photos (see photos as lake acts like a nice mirror). At 12pm lots of people rafting and will create wave ripples (not as nice). route 1: Canon Atel mirador route 2: walk back to last stop and take the other road (bridge) route 3: walk back the same way from the bus route to view other touristic views and activities (the bus to return to san Raphael will be cheaper as you will walk 30min to an hr back). 150aprox see other comments i have for nearby areas.
Amazing. Driving through the mountains
Fantastic views and all for free, you can do all the ride with your own car.
Pre-wedding journey to see great mountain of Aconcagua and Wine houses in Mendoza. A picnic in Canyon. When traveling with a car San Rafael and this Canyon is in between Mendoza and Buenos Aires. A stopover.

We messaged on WhatsApp to schedule an appointment. The tour was enjoyable, and the wine tasting at the end was fantastic, with numerous samples. For $2000, it was an outstanding value, and we also received a full glass of house wine for only $200 while we waited for the tour to begin.
My partner and I did a wine tasting tour here during our visit to San Rafael. Our guide Ana was fantastic - very knowledgeable about the history of the winery and the wine-making process; she also spoke excellent English which was a massive help as we're still learning Spanish!
Great wine tour with Bruno. Interesting information. Nice little degustation. Good prices. Thanks
Bodega La Abeja was fantastic! For only $1000 pesos it was a brilliant tour. Sofie was a lovely tour guide who gave us a private tour in English. We loved trying their wines in the private tasting room as well! A brilliant bodega with a fantastic history and some very tasty wines... We'd 100% recommend!
Great experience! The tour was really interesting and the wines are great! We wanted to particularly thank our guide Sofi who was so kind and funny, and made the tour even better! Her English was amazing!
The guided tour is great and the place is an important part of the history of San Rafael
Very decent place to visit. Guided tour plus tasting comes free of charge. Plus you will see some action of how the grapes are removed from stems and how to cork a bottle. If you are heading towards Chile after Argentina then do your visitations in here.
Awesome Winery with awesome people! Our guide (really good english speaking) Juan Pablo told us very interesting information about all! Highly recommended!

Amazingly rough beauty
(Translated by Google) Valle Grande is one of the most beautiful destinations in San Rafael and a perfect place to enjoy nature and the water. The landscape is breathtaking, surrounded by mountains and with the reservoir as its centerpiece. There's limited parking, especially on weekends, so it's best to arrive early. From the pier, you can cross by catamaran to the small beaches on the other side, where you can enjoy various activities such as kayaking, paddleboarding, fishing, or simply relaxing in the sun. It's important to note that there are no restrooms on these beaches, so it's a good idea to bring water, food, and everything you need to spend the day comfortably.

Loved the tour! The bodega is beautiful and the wine was fantastic. Karen did a great job explaining the whole process of wine making
In Mendoza region to find a new vinyard for a project of 150 hectoliters. Sponanteously came by Bianchi. We arrived and a huge group was just waiting to start a tour. We asked to join the tour and walk along, paid of course, to get to know the vinyard. The staff wouldnt allow it. They just told us to make an appointment, for a time when we will already travel back. Guess they dont need new customers here. Disappointing.
Nice installations. Good wines. Good welcome.
Great experience with the winemakers.
(Translated by Google) I didn't believe many of the reviews before going, and there's a noticeable price difference compared to other, perhaps less well-known, local wineries we visited earlier to compare. But yes, the price is for an expensive tasting. Especially considering the allotted time doesn't allow for leisure or relaxation. The wines we sampled weren't the best, while others, for half the price, offer top-notch wines. It wasn't a great experience, but perhaps it's worth mentioning that it could be better. The "I'll tell you about it, and then you can come back and take photos if you want" format isn't what you expect when you're out and about. Undoubtedly, their business is about quantity, not quality, thanks to their large infrastructure and exposure. It left me wanting more...
(Translated by Google) A very large winery, beautiful scenery, but the guided tour leaves much to be desired. It feels like a race with a memorized script. There's no effort to even speak a little slower to help foreigners who don't speak Spanish. My parents, over 70 years old, had to rush to catch up with the timed route and weren't even waited for to begin the explanation. It's not worth the investment. If those responsible for the company take the time to read these reviews, please consider my observation. You have a beautiful place, you can do an amazing job.

Very well maintained and it’s a great place for kids, friends or even a date. It’s a place to go and relax. A picnic is ideal to have here.
The maze was a fun and challenging activity, but not so complicated that it became frustrating. The paths were well-manicured and easy to follow, making it a great way to spend an afternoon. It was $4400 a person to enter.
Really good and well maintained. Park is beautiful, restaurant is good, and the labyrinth is also well maintained and big. There is also a mini museum and a film worth watching for Borges enthusiasts.
An excelent place to visit and spend your time with your family
Enjoy the park at the evening when the sun is setting. You have a nice view on top of the tower and entering the labrynth makes you live the words of Borges. It was great!
Nice place to go and spend at least a couple hours. Places to do pic-nics, you can also have local food and wine right there. The maze is really good and fun for kids, while there's also a playground. On the downside, toilets were less than impressive and the video about the history of the place was way too long (1 hr).
The place is good to spend few hours of self walk with family/friends. The restaurant kitchen/bar staff are rude and denied to give us tap water although the waitress tried to, the food is too expensive comparing with the quality. I recomend the place but not the restaurant.
Nice place! You should go for a couple of hours. You dont Need More. There Is a restaurant if yo want to have lunch, although you can take yours and eat there..

(Translated by Google) Small, but full of valuable information. It's very interesting to learn how, who, and when the station was created, and everything surrounding it. As I mentioned to the woman who served as our guide (I apologize we didn't get her name), a Frenchman with a lot of money came to buy desolate land in our country and ended up building a great city like San Rafael. He was truly a visionary. Admission is a symbolic $1,000 per person (July 30, 2025). (Translated by Google) An excellent experience. We had a very entertaining guided tour, where we even had the pleasure of meeting Don Alfredo. We then booked the asado (a platter of cold cuts, chorizo and chinchilla sausage, meat, asado, and flan), and it was undoubtedly one of the best winery experiences we've had. The staff was outstanding. Highly recommended!!!

Afterward, we enjoyed wine and empanadas in the specially prepared lounge. We tasted two wines: a refreshing, chilled Chenille white and a red reserve. The service was excellent, and the guide was very professional; she enriched us with her stories. (Translated by Google) We found this place by chance and it surprised us. The tour begins with an explanation of the flora of the place, which becomes a bit boring, but then the fun begins. When you reach the rocks in the mountains you can see cave paintings and then they put a helmet with a light on you to enter the caves. The route inside the caves is not long but it is a bit difficult, meaning it is not recommended for people with claustrophobia or mobility problems. On our visit there was a family with a 3-year-old girl who took the tour without any problem, but not all children like the dark so I recommend evaluating before attending. There are no bathrooms in the park. They charge entry at the place.
(Translated by Google) The visit offers a super complete description of the way of life and skills of the native peoples who inhabited the area. You can see huts and native vegetation. The visit includes a tour of a very narrow cave not suitable for claustrophobics and small children. The guide Sol was very attentive to the entire group and very willing to answer questions. I recommend wearing comfortable clothes that can get dirty since part of the route requires crouching almost at ground level. The cost of the activity is reasonable and accessible. The only negative is that the place does not have bathrooms for visitors due to vandalism.

From the story they tell you to learn everything they experienced thousands of years ago, to the passage through the cave and out through the mountain. The guide was genius! I don't remember the name but his knee was bad and he wanted to wait to have surgery haha Do yourself a favor and go!

(Translated by Google) The experience of touring the Park with the guides is interesting. We went with the idea that the kids would do something different and learn a little about history and the truth is that it surprised us all, since entering the caves is very fun. Be careful, it is not so easy to be in the caves because you have to bend down a lot and get dirty to get through the 3 sections there are.
(Translated by Google) Beautiful, very interesting tour, super informative, everything very well preserved. They show you the native flora, invite you to smell each plant, and teach you what life was like for the Huarpes. BE CAREFUL about the cave! For some, it can be quite difficult. If you have limited mobility (or weak legs) or claustrophobia, I recommend not entering. If you dare, it's short but quite beautiful! Another thing to keep in mind is that there are no bathrooms. We took a restroom in some plants, hehe🤪 but just to be warned! I recommend bringing water bottles (they don't sell them there, and you'll need them). The tour itself is a walk until you have to climb a bit at one point.

We did the guided tour with tasting with our 6 and 4 year old children. Nico was super super entertaining with his explanations, it was very clear and, above all, realistic. I explain the steps of the process, I teach how to read the labels and then know what to choose as a consumer. And at the time of the tasting he taught us how to taste the different wines. Super recommended! Super recomendable!

(Translated by Google) I give it the highest rating because it was an excellent experience. Both the guide Nicolás and the girls at the restaurant were very friendly and made my Saturday a memorable day. The winery has a very interesting history and the wines are very delicious, I particularly liked the sparkling wine. You can see that it is a place that takes care of tourists, they are in all the details. I recommend them when you visit the city of San Rafael.

(Translated by Google) Nico's guide and explanations were very nice, and everything was clean. But the three-course lunch isn't worth it. For the same price, we had lunch at another spectacular, modern winery with wine pairings for all seven courses. It also seemed dated and outdated. I don't recommend it.
(Translated by Google) The place is very close to the San Rafael airport, almost across the street. I was really looking forward to going, based on the photos and dishes shown in the description. We arrived and chose a table outside on a beautiful, pleasant day. They brought us a delicious complimentary drink, and it was a lovely moment. We ordered sorrentinos with pink sauce, which were exquisite with a sweet sauce just the way I like it, and they tasted very, very good. The other dish was sirloin steak with blue cheese and rustic potatoes. It was cooked perfectly, and also delicious. But... dessert was a huge disappointment. We ordered "Brownie with ice cream and red berries." The brownie was from a box and was a simple chocolate sponge cake. The brownie has nuts, and the texture is completely different, completely different. It was obvious that it wasn't chicha or lemonade. The friendly waitress, by the way, tried to tell me it was a Marquise, but it was far from it! I thought that since this was a place that tried to specialize in pastry, this had to be the best... Well, no. Damn, why did I have such high expectations? I'm very demanding, but if I'm going to pay $3,800 pesos for a dessert, I want it to be a brownie. Everything else was great!
(Translated by Google) Beautiful winery, we start the tour early at 10 in the very cold, the tour has a cost and then you have a tasting with wines of your choice. Accompanied with some very delicious cheeses. It is worth it as they tell the history of the winery and the processes that involve the wines and sparkling wines. Recommended visit! Thank you so much. Visita recomendada! Muchas gracias.
