Expansive beach featuring a wide, sandy shoreline, lifeguards, calm waters & a pedestrian promenade.

This is a beautiful, clean beach. On Halloween 2023 the weather here is gorgeous, and the beach is nearly empty. This beach is very different from its French neighbor in Hendaye. It is very gentle making it a perfect beach for young kids and older folks. It's great for swimming. The beach is large enough to hold crowds during the summer; note that there are several highrise apartment buildings right across the street.
The cutest quaint little town surrounded by walls to create this world within another world. Walking the city walls and seeing the history of Hondarribia, where you can see France and boats along the water. Stop into any one of the taverns for a bite or a drink and everyone is friendly. Great little shops for jewelry, clothes, and even our nails, only €15 We went to France for breakfast or dinner and took day trips to San Sebastián, Hendaye, Bairritz and Bilbao. It was a perfect Location.
Beautiful beach and great town. Always a pleasure to be back here.
Amazing swim. Beautiful town, lovely gastronomy and history. We all stop here on our Ireland Spain road trips. Love this place.
huge beach we went on the busiest day of the year , they had some kind of local rowing competition , the water was great , there were also lifeguards. great for swimming and sun bathing
Awesome, big beach with soft sand. More public toilets should be available.
Nice beach to stroll along. Lots of kid teams playing rugby. Several sailboats make for a great panorama memory. A family beach.
Very beautiful beach, perfect temperature for swim, nice place to chill

Nice place to start a hike to the Jaizkibel mountain.
Located on the the Jaizkibel surrounded by nature, it is a quiet and relaxing place. It is easily accessible by car as it is indicated by road sign. One can also walk there from Hondarrabia, it is a 30-60 minutes hike. There are plenty of space outside for picnic. Finally, it is a good starting point to go hiking or running on the Jaizkibel ridge, whose dominating views are a pleasure for the eyes.
Beautiful place with stunning views !! The hermitage is always open. Recommended 100%
My favorite place to visit when I'm home. From Guadalupe you get a beautiful view of the Txingudi Bay and, on clear days, you can see as far as St. Jean-de-Luz.
If you are around is a good visit. It was open and is a cute church
Closed shut a weekday in July with no indication of opening hours. Great view of Hondaribia
Beautifull fishermen church on the first leg of the Camino de Santiago (Northern Route)

Family campsite offering tent pitches, static homes & caravan spots as well as a restaurant & bar.
Slide 1 of 8
This campsite has scores of tightly packed mobile homes plus great sea front grassy terraces for tents and a number of pitches for motorhomes. The pool is great. There’s a bar / restaurant that serves hearty, basic food and a good selection of reasonably priced drinks. There’s also a great little shop on site selling basic provisions including fresh bread, cold beer and wine. It’s a 40-45 minute walk to the beach and onwards into a lovely town (city?). Not the cheapest campsite but decent value for money. The younger folk on reception speak English and are very helpful; the older guy is not so friendly. Overall, I’d recommend a stay here.
Overcrowded. Overpriced. Overnoisy. The free camping area Is definitely a Place where you wouldn't want to stay, especially during High season. Tents are almost overleapping and there Is AN Absolute lack of Shadow. Toilets are run down and filthy. Extremely loud music till 3 o clock coming from the restaurant. 30 € per night for two people and a small tent (no car). You judge It.
I rarely write negative reviews and, as a student, I don't consider myself to have particularly high standards. But this time I feel compelled to warn others — I truly wish I had read a review like this before choosing this campsite. When I arrived, I was told there was only one spot left — in the parking lot — but at least it had a sea view. I asked if it was cheaper than a regular pitch, and was told it cost the same. Since I urgently needed a place to stay, I agreed — and quickly regretted it. The “pitch” was barely 2 meters wide, located right next to the toilets and garbage bins. As for the promised sea view — it was entirely blocked by other campers. Still, I thought I’d just get through the night. But in the evening, a rock band started playing 15 meters away, at full festival volume — and unfortunately, they weren’t even good. Had the place been cheap, I might have understood. But I paid €40 for one person, one car, one night. Electricity alone cost €11.50! At least the bathrooms were somewhat clean, but the dishwashing area was absolutely filthy. Truly outrageous — I would absolutely not recommend this place to anyone.
Majority of the campsite is voor permanent residents, but the sea side is for camper places and tents, where you have a good view of the see. We were relatively early and able to get a good spot on the camper area (asphalt). Toilets and showers were clean. Was quite busy and loud until midnight, then nice and quiet. Recommended for single night stays.
We ended up at this campsite because it was the only one available in the area. The price was on the higher side, which wouldn’t have been a problem if the facilities matched the cost. Unfortunately, the sanitary facilities were very dirty. The shower barely worked, only a weak trickle of water came out, and the place didn’t smell clean at all. The view, however, was beautiful and definitely the highlight of our stay. Still, the overall experience didn’t quite justify the price.
I was comming Yesterday in the afternoon with my girlfriend, we wanted stay for a night. The answer was OK WE are full but have an emergency place for 25€ WE saied for this price OK. Than he took the Passports after the price was 48€. Than i saied No. What they Not Unterstand why? And was thinking they are in the right for this. Take Care before you get tricked.
Very overpriced €50 for 2 adults, motor home (€11.80 for ehu) for 1 night. More like a car park. No space to put out awning. Very disappointed.
Looked at the prices, 57 euro for 2 adults, a campervan, electricity and a dog 🫣, this is a campsite!

(Translated by Google) Very good preserved. (Original) Muy buen conservado.
This corner of the Hondarribia walls is picturesque, with green gardens and wildflowers in the spring time. However, the very corner look out tower (big enough for only two or three people to stand in) has been used as a urinal (people or dogs or both, I don’t want to think about it). Even on a cool day, the smell is grotesque. If the city authorities can be prevailed upon to clean it, it would return this site to being a much more pleasurable experience.

Stunning church, with lots to view inside I've added a few photos but much more to see in person so make it a must do on your list.
The Parish Church of Fuenterrabía, dedicated to Santa María de la Asunción y del Manzano, stands as a testament to Late Gothic architecture, constructed in the 15th and 16th centuries upon medieval walls and the remnants of a Romanesque predecessor. This spacious and beautiful church, measuring 44 by 28 meters internally, features three naves of similar width divided by eight cylindrical pillars, showcasing a transitional design towards the Basque Renaissance "hall church" style. Its construction, commencing in 1474, faced significant delays due to the political and military upheavals of the era, including the conquest of Navarre and various sieges, which even led to the diversion of building materials for fortifications. The initial phase concluded with its consecration in 1549, with the building process starting from the apse and progressing westward. Subsequent centuries saw the addition of a Renaissance main entrance, a sacristy, and a prominent Baroque tower built upon an integrated, pre-existing tower house that was later removed from the church's interior. Further modifications included the construction of the choir and later minor alterations, culminating in a 1910 restoration that aimed to restore the building's original aesthetic by removing Baroque additions.
Beautiful late gothic church. Excellent detail throughout
Amazing history and one of my favorite churches we got to tour. The hard wood doors m, rickety and hollow, add to the overall feel of this cathedral. Beautiful and amazing to consider the sacrifice and details of this great city.
The Church is very beautiful from inside. We visited in December, that time there were some Belen inside the church. They were amazing. You must visit this church in hondorribia. There is no entrance for the church. It’s amazing and nice church is small beautiful town.
Stunning church with baroque architecture.
Church whose construction began in 1474 on the site of the old temple. Construction was completed in 1549. The works were carried out by the master stonemason Esteban Albizuri until 1531 (he died) and then his son Juan Pérez Albizuri took over the works. The church is at the highest point in the city. It has a Latin plan and three aisles, all three of different length and width, with a transept.
Beautiful church with an impressive wooden floor. Entrance was free.

The view is wonderful. I spend some minutes just looking the nature, how is beautiful.
Just a beautiful area!
(Translated by Google) Being able to enter it after so long is something unique. The views are spectacular and its origin is quite surprising. But there is still a lot to do on the part of Arma Plaza Fundazioa since there is hardly any information about the castle. The rooms are empty and the guided tour is very "empty" of content. But I am sure that over time we will make it an important part of Hondarribia's heritage. (Original) Poder entrar en él después de tanto tiempo es algo único.
