Very beautiful Waters. Very nice people very nice to vacation to chill and relax 🌴😄🌴😄🌴😄😎. I took my vacation back in February of 2019. And let me tell you it is such a beautiful place to visit. Especially early in the year like January, February, March, April it is their summer time. So the weather is just to die for , it is perfect. I'm not guilty, to say that I absolutely enjoyed my time here
Just never go there. Really not worth. Even the city beach of Cartagena is way better.
Firstly the boats are not big enough for the crossing. The water is choppy and on a bad day could easily tip over. I didn’t feel safe at all. Next, the crossing is being managed by nobody professional, it’s all casual. No receipt, no organisation, different prices depending on your haggling ability. just chaotic. The setup at the “beach clubs” is absolutely dire. Beach is littered throughout. No real privacy because you’re squeezed in next to somebody else. Everything overpriced Lastly, the waiters will try to charge you for things you’ve never bought. Ideally just pay once you receive it and that’s it. Overall , a nice beach ruined by dysfunctional management. The local tourism authority (if there is one) should be ashamed
Do not trust the boat hustlers that take you here and back, total rip-offs that charge you way too much and then hold you hostage because you've got no other way back. They have us one price before we went there and then a completely different one to get back.
A quick boat ride from Bocagrande Beach, Beautiful beach, private, way less crowded.
A very quiet place where to spend a day enjoying cristal clear, warm waters. People can enjoy a wide variety of delicious fish offered in the restaurants. It is advisable to return to Cartagena before 4 pm as the tide goes up and the way back on the motorboats can be dangerous
Went to beach across from Bocagrande. And got Hassled aggressively all day don’t trust the boats from bocagrande (stressful and they didn’t turn up for return journey). Plus we got harassed at the beach to buy drinks/sun beds. Not ideal. Plus lots of petrol & boats in the water Needs some regulation
A horrible place where every salesman is trying to scam you! While you try to swim on a not very clear beach the boats and other water vehicles are swirling dangerously around you. The very loud music is anointing. Not relaxing place at all and very dirty and crappy beach! Definitely not recommended. Go to Santa Marta next time!

Our island tour stopped off at this location to give us a little history and culture before we snorkeled. The tour was great, lots of interesting little bits of info like they built tunnels that deliberately narrowed and then when invaders went down them they were trapped and executed them. Life lesson, don’t go chasing waterfalls or unknown tunnels but stick to the tunnels and waterfalls you are used to. It gets hot, extra sunscreen and some water is a good idea. Also a tip, two guys on our boat thought the coconuts were free when offered, they are not. Goes without saying but just a heads up to avoid an awkward situation.
Beautiful Cartagena Harbour and nice place to visit. Have a look so peaceful.
Disappointing. The Fort has some interesting historical displays, but it is not well kept. The town itself is either falling apart or half built. Roads are un paved a d rocky. The trip was even worse. We tried to follow other reviews and suggestions, but the information from them did not match our experience. Most sources said the port tax was 14,000 CPO per person; we paid 3,000 CPO per person. Most sources said the boat ride would be 7,000 CPO per person and to be wary of "guides" upon arrival in Bocachica. A person at the dock bugged us, and we kept telling him we wanted the boat ride and no guide. He finally pointed to a boat and said it is the one we should take. He then introduced us to a mam, indicating that the boat was his. He then said that it would be 50,000 CPO per person, round trip. The person we were introduced to did not pilot the boat but was another passenger. When we arrived, he then started leading us, but in the opposite direction of the fort. When we were finally able to stop him, we were able to find out he was taking us to a castle. We said no, just the fort, and that we would go on our own. He then insisted on leading us to the fort, where he demanded more money. We paid another 20,000 CPO, and he left us. After touring the fort a bit of the area around it, we returned to the dock. All the people at the dock directed us to another pier with different boats. Several different people 1asked for more money, but we insisted that we had paid for a round trip, naming the guide and showing pictures of the boat. Eventually, someone explained that it was a different company, and we had to pay an additional 10,000 CPO per person for the return trip. If you want to go, use a reputable tour service.
A local scooped us up from the dock, spoke great English, and treated us to a wonderful 30 minute tour. Half hour was plenty of time out of the boat due to the heat. He worked tips and we tipped generously.
We only saw this from a far but it had a dominant presence
We took the water taxi to Bocachica today to see the forts and town. Got off the boat and got approached by a local “guide” that only works for donations. We kept asking for a price and he insisted it was free. So we decided to follow him and figured we would give him COP 50,000 at the end. He was very nice and led us on a nice journey through town to see how the locals live and also both forts. At the end, at the last fort, he pulled us to the side where nobody was around and demanded COP 100,000 and he wasn’t going to walk with us back to the boat. Anyways we gave him 70,000 and left on a sour note. Too bad. Everything else was good. Spent a little money on the island to contribute to the town. They were great. Should be a 5 star review except for the guide. I suggest going there but learn from my lesson.
A beautiful and peaceful fort. Great to learn about the colonial history of Colombia. Do travel with backpackers for the best tour and explanation.
Bea, well preserved fort on the island of Tierra Bomba. There were so many rooms and hallways to explore. Narrow stairways, gun holes, bridges, cannons and scenic backdrops all provided wonderful photo opportunities. The pictures don't do it justice. If you're in good shape, I highly a guided mountain bike tour. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

We did the day pass plus (the one that allows you to stay until night with the fire ceremony). We spent hours trying to find a beach club as we were looking for something relaxing, but with a good experience at the same time. We spent the day repeating that we were so happy for booking this place. David welcomed us, and made sure we had everything we needed. He was an added bonus to the experience. Friendly, but respectful of our space. Other members of the staff were also available and checking in ensuring we were having a good time. They were attentive and service was very good. The spot is just BEAUTIFUL, the music is perfect to enjoy the day and to relax, the pool is good, the activities (massage, yoga, meditation, fire ceremony) were great and well organized. We felt it was a super value for the money and was one of the best experiences in Cartagena. Thank you for having us.
Our stay at namaste beach club was very pleasant! We were there for around five days and enjoyed the food made by the wonderful staff. David was extremely helpful throughout our entire stay. He communicated with our taxi driver, our transportation to the island and he made sure all of our needs were met. Always had a smile on his face and a happy thing to say.
The service was great! We did a day pass to Namaste. I liked that there were less vendors on the beach, but did not like that there was really no place on the beach to lay down so if you want to relax in the sand this is not your place. Also you have to be careful when crossing from the beach area to the resort because there is a public road that is a bit hidden and if you are not paying attention you can get ran over. Overall I think that the experience was great because of our host David. He made us feel at home. Thank you David for everything!
Beautiful place and the service was great. The host, David, was very friendly and attentive. He made sure we were always taken care of. Food is OK, massage was very quick and just OK, pool needed cleaning and wish there was more beach to lay down.
Extremely relaxing day at Namaste Beach Cartagena. Service went above and beyond to make sure all clients were comfortable and happy. Great Yoga, Meditation, and massage. Sad I had to leave!
This place has easily a 5 star potential. Location 5 stars, vibe 5 stars, accomodations 4-5 stars, super special, intimate, and relaxing. Feels like you're in the jungle but in short boat distance from everything great Cartagena can offer. Saying all of the above, the below are things the property needs to address in order to improve. The food is not good. It's not terrible but what you get for what you pay is just not worth it. Ingredients are not fresh, staff is overwhelmed, and menu is too big. As a result one can wait 1-2 hours after ordering for example. My advice, thin down your menu, do specials when you have access to special ingredients and only when the place is full enough. Secondly, the service. From the moment you step on the boat the staff makes you feel like ab automated tipping machine. At everything step if the way from the boat staff, to welcome staff, to healing staff everyone are "suggesting" tipping as well as try to charge for everything. There is not problem with charging for services but there is a way that is more hospitable to go about it. If the place address the food and staffing issue without a double it will be 5 stars.
David and Rodrigo are outstanding hosts! Adrianna is so kind and in general, everyone is sooo welcoming. I stayed for nearly a week with my three young girls and we relaxed while having delicious food and drinks.
I stayed at Namaste with my boys (5 & 9 years old) and rest of the family this past week. The service was completely worth it. Our host David did an amazing job on thinking of things we didn't even know we needed. He had all of the transportation ready to go from Cartagena to Tierra Bomba. He also made all of the arrangements with the tours, so we didn't have to worry about anything. Namaste is a peaceful and unique place where you do get disconnected and get a chance to meet new people. We had the privilege of meeting Haidi, the master of the sea who manages all of the water transpiration. Cuero and Angie were extremely friendly and made us feel at home. Tierra Bomba is a must for a family trip, but I must say the people that work there makes it extra special.
