Very cool and special place. Like with all attractions around Bonito, you have to buy your tickets in advance at a tour agency in the city. You will then do a walk around the whole, two platforms to look out from. Around 120 parrots are living here, making a lot of noise and super cool to just watch at. They fly a lot around. The guide spoke English very well and shared great knowledge.

Nice and small park, perfect for a half day. A bit of walking through the jungle and you arrive at a clearing in front of a huge craterlike natural structure . It is here that the red Araras or parrots nest. Nice to see and specially hear the birds!

Very cool. Lots of the scarlet macaws. I would recomend binoculars or a very good camera with a super zoom. The hole is 32 stories deep and there are large gators and anacondas at the bottom to see too.

Insane beautiful! You can see large species of birds...like Tucano and Red Araras (Brazilian Parrots). Infrastructure very good!! Worth every penny!

Absolutely loved it. Come in the early morning or late afternoon, when birds are more active. We saw atleast 15 couples of macaws flying around. The crater itself is also very breathtaking. Could have spend way more time here. Although paying to see animals is not my thing... they do not intervene and well the sinkhole is on private ground... Worth it!

Many araras and an easy walk through the forest to the sink hole. It's much bigger than I imagined and worth the visit. The guide was also very good using English and Portuguese.

Red Macaw pit For nature lovers For bird watchers For all "incredule" eyes the "Buraco dad Araras" is a must place to visit in Bonito MS (Serra da Bodoquena). The regular your takes about an hour and half, also they offer a day or half day bird watching. In any case, easily all the visitors are able to observe at least 5 different bird species (from 'Araras' - red macaw to woodpeckers)
