Second time to visit Oaker Wood. The first time was for some fun zip lining and tree climbing a couple of years ago. This time was a damp August morning for an hour's quad bike guided trail through the woods. It was equally fun and well organised. Thanks to Anika and the team for making it happen at short notice. Oaker Wood offer loads of different outdoor activities, so I definitely recommend you check out the website and get something booked - you won't be disappointed.
Excellent Experience - A group of us did the low impact paintball session for a mixed gender stag do and every person absolutely enjoyed it! Joe and Sam were great leaders, explained everything clearly and made sure everyone was having fun. There were various game modes where we had to work in teams, couldn’t recommend the experience enough also perfect for first time paintballers. Good news that the low impact didn’t hurt too much just a slight sting for 20 seconds or so!
14 lads enjoying a stag weekend of Clay Pigeon shooting and quad bike. We self catered. Pods were warm and beds surprisingly comfy as remarked by many. The team on site were welcoming and gave us a great induction. Banter during activities was on point and both activities thoroughly enjoyed. We all left Oakerwood buzzing.
The team were brilliant. Our junior paintball party couldn’t have been run more smoothly and they even managed to come up with a lighter when I forgot matches for the birthday boys cake
Amazing service. Went here for a hen do for the code breaker activity. Amazing communication with David (manager) about whether the activity would be going ahead due to weather and he greeted us on arrival and took time to ask about us and the hen. Phoebe and Heather were great at leading our activity and make it fun for all involved. Would definitely recommend!
Fantastic outdoor centre with amazing staff, used for our child's 9th birthday party with a small group of friends. We booked four different outdoor activities, all of a climbing or dealing with heights nature. The site owner , David, was really welcoming and came out to meet us in the carpark. His two staff who were assigned to our group were so child friendly, and the whole group of kids were very engaged. We had a hot and cold drinks station to ourselves, and the staff were very relaxing and accommodating, though they were also clearly safe and professional. Such a fantastic outdoor facility, we will certainly come back for other children's activities.
Came here for a stag and it was an absolute hoot! The staff were super friendly and not remotely hostile to the stag group. The highropes were challenging to the nerves but not physically demanding which was great. Laser clay pigeon shooting is a great activity and the variety of games set up created a fun filled couple of hours. Thank you
It was amazing. The staff were very helpful and kind even when I broke the chain on my quad bike and when my daughter crashed hers! We will definitely be coming back! Highly recommend ⭐️🌟

Stayed at Docklow house. House was superb. On suite bathrooms all modern and very clean. Had a modern well equipped kitchen. Lovely dining room. Sitting room with a lovely view. Also games room and a cinema room. Was so nice we’ve booked again for next year. Would highly recommend. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Pub was outstanding. Food was top class and all bar staff were superb. Fishing was excellent too. Worth every penny. On the whole best place I’ve stayed. Highly recommend.
Secure 5 stars for each element! We visited for Sunday carvery and loved every mouthful. Each item was cooked to perfection. The host (Bell) was extremely friendly; she answered each question we asked. We managed a dessert which was heaven. Many thanks.
We recently had the pleasure of staying at Docklow Pools again, and we continue to recommend it highly. The self-catering accommodation was, as always, comfortable, clean, and well-equipped, providing a perfect home away from home. For the occasions that we wanted to dine out, we had the extremely popular Fisherman's Arms to visit for immensely satisfying, well made and presented meals (always advisable to book first). The serene surroundings and beautiful lake views made for a truly relaxing experience. The fishing at Docklow Pools is exceptional and productive, with lots of well-stocked lakes and pools, each with a good variety of fish, making it a paradise for anglers of all levels. The spacious on-site tackle shop (Docklow Tackle) is excellent and offers a wide range of high-quality accessories and bait. Simon and his team are incredibly helpful and always ready to offer advice and tips to enhance your fishing experience, whether you want to fish a match or just enjoy a quiet time pleasure fishing on your own. A special mention must go to Jenna, who assists Jonathan in the office. She is very friendly and helpful. and her warm welcome on arrival and her continuing efficient service made our stay even more enjoyable. The entire staff at Docklow Pools go above and beyond to ensure guests have a memorable stay. If you’re looking for a peaceful getaway with great fishing and top quality facilities, Docklow Pools is the place to be. I can’t wait to return!
We have spent a few good holidays here. The accommodation is always spotlessly clean and comfortable. In the heart of the countryside. Very peaceful, relaxing and picturesque . The restaurant and coffee shop are excellent. All the staff are helpful and friendly. My husband loves the fishing and has caught some Big Fish.
Such a lovely place. When we got there we had booked 1 lodge but to be told that was already booked as a long term let, but the 1 we were put in was exactly the same. So we thought that's OK, when we went in we noticed loads of cobwebs, also it was a bit tired, needs updating, also looked like there had been a bit of a leek in the bedroom. We weren't happy so we went back to the coffee shop and spoke to Lisa who was very helpful, she came and had a look. In the end we were offered a different lodge or our money back, we took the other lodge which was much better and also bigger. Can't fault the service Such a great setting, peaceful and great fishing for my other half,. birthday treat from me. I did the woodland walk while he was fishing, great exercise, as parts are hilly. I saw the pigs and walked by some of the lakes, thought I was lost but found my way back. Would go back again
Great pub on site with equally great food. The fishing isn't too bad either. Major bill is the speci lake with fish up to upper 30s and maybe a 40 swimming around. Few other lakes for the pleasure angler. Never really have a bad day's fishing, if there is such a thing.
Fantastic place for fishing, friendly, great service and the food was first class. Would recommend highly. Look forward to coming again. 5 stars from me.
A group of us were visiting the area as our children were in a rugby festival in Leominster. We stayed in Docklow house which is set in the grounds of Docklow Pools. We couldn’t have wished for a lovelier, more spacious, clean and inviting place to stay. We will certainly be back. Whilst there we visited the pub on the site. At first the reception wasn’t the best, a little stern and confronting, once we had let them know we were staying in the house they very quickly became more friendly and overly accommodating. I found it rather funny but suppose it’s not really. That wouldn’t put me off going back though. Our children ranged from 3-16 and all loved it

Stunning park! Easy trails, accessibility friendly. Me and my family visited this park a few days ago with our dogs. Loved seeing trees over never seen before it was just stunning! Must visit if youre in the area!
Fabulous place for an autumn walk. Enjoyed by all ages and dogs too. Mostly flat with some gentle slopes. Well signed so no feat of getting lost.
A mouse took a stroll through the deep dark wood... And the mouse had the best time ever 🤣 The perfect spot for a family walk, hunting for the Gruffalo and all the other characters too. Lots of different paths to take and plenty of space for picnics. The play area is perfect and the cafe is really good too. Definitely worth a visit! We visit time and time again 🌳🦉🐍🦊🐭
A beautiful place to visit for just the cost of parking. There's a huge variety of different trees from across the globe set out in various sections. Wildlife abounds everywhere lots of squirrels & lots of kinds of birds. Dogs are allowed on a lead obviously & mountain biking is allowed in most areas with due consideration for walkers etc. The view point is well worth seeking out for it's stunning views out over the Herefordshire countryside. Near the entrance & carpark is an adventure play area for children. The Gruffalo trail is fun for the kids to find all the carvings with a big & very tall Gruffalo group at the end. There are various hand cranked devices the read poetry etc. There are facilities ie toilets & a cafe etc. Picnic tables are available. A lovely mostly quite place to visit, maybe take a picnic or just pop in for a couple of hours & find a quite spot & unwind. A truly lovely place!
Lovely place to go for a nice Autumn walk. Free of charge, only pay for parking which was reasonable. Nice little cafe with plenty of food options.
For scale, the Redwoods are absolutely enormous. The man in this photo is 6'4. It's like standing under a cathedral in this section of the arboretum. It is quieter due to the sponge like bark of the trees. The canopy is mesmerising and creates a shady , darker lighting under the trees. If you have never seen giant Redwoods this is a good place to go.
Amazingly beautiful place. Great walks with a range of different things to see. Managed all 3 and a good wander in the 6 hours I spent here. Gift shop and cafe were great. Good toilet facilities. There were electric trikes that you could hire if needed. Even with a park full of people you can find empty and tranquil places.
Lovley autumn colour, plenty of well priced parking. Lots of routes well marked. Cafe had plenty of well priced choice, with a good shop and clean toilets.

Beautiful afternoon spent at Stocktonbury Gardens today on a works outing, food was excellent, freshly prepared with quality ingredients and the cakes were amazing 🤩 . The gardens are beautiful with so many beautiful flowers. Highly recommended for a visit but the shop has a few too many nice things to buy 🙈
A really lovely garden. A small museum tells the history of the house and the development of the garden by the current owners. Their passion and vision for what was a barren landscape has transformed it into wonderful garden full of interest at every turn yet maintained areas of tranquility and peace. The cafe provides an excellent array of food the vast majority of which is homemade or home grown. Certainly a place to visit throughout the seasons.
Lovely 4 acres of gardens with another nook and clever planting just around the corner. The pigeon house was well worth bending to get into and dont forget the secret garden and its hidden entrance. In August, a lot of the flowers had passed over but still a lot to see and enjoy. I liked the old buildings in this space. The only downside is the traffic noise and machinery noise and the wasps after the cider apples. Great little cafe selling really good food - nice fresh pastry and cakes. It took us about an hour to wander over the gardens.
Such a lovely place cafe has the most amazing cakes and coffee was great lovely to sit outside hear the birds ..Some lovely plants in shop loved the shop by the way walked some of the garden , will have to come back again to finish off..
It's a lovely garden, with a very nice cafe that's worth going to even of you're not seeing the garden. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating with a nice menu.
Lovely spot to stop and have a light lunch and wander the grounds. Cakes soups and sandwiches were delicious as were the coffee and drinks. Gardens were mostly accessible to disabled patrons but half is grass so more difficult to traverse with a wheelchair or mobility scooter. A small portion of the water gardens are inaccessible to wheelchairs/mobility scooters due to stairs. A delightful way to spend a couple of hours.
As seen on Gardeners World. A must for gardeners. We went late in the season, and like lots of gardens, the weather has had an impact. So can't wait to visit again next year. Check website for opening times
Immersive experience, sheep in a field of Apple trees, shaded areas on the grass, a wonderful summers day. Coffee and calmness, wonderful. ❤️

Reopened on 8th April 2023. Lovely to return for the first time in six years. The museum feels much fresher and does much to celebrate the history of the local area and its people. QR codes on many exhibits are a welcome addition! Enjoyed meeting the lovely, attentive volunteers who supplied us with plentiful information.
Small locally run and supported by local people. Well worth a visit. Please make a donation
What a great museum! Has a wonderful collection of farming tools and cider making equipment. Some really interesting pieces of local significance and lovely volunteers.
Small local free museum. Interesting displays. Themed areas. Nice welcome and was given an i pad type device by lady in charge with Interesting facts on each room. Worth a visit! Car park right opposite also nice parklNd with Interesting buildings and church.
Absolutely free... what a wonderful museum, Staff were so friendly and cheerful..many Thanks 😊
Very Warm Welcome for both Humans & Doogles. This is a Local Museum,..... with loads of examples of Recent History not ancient Ronan stuff. Brilliant rooms set out as they were,.... even Olde Folks will be going ...Ooooh, my old Gran had one of they !!! It's Free, but Donations are Appreciated.
Lovely little museum, staff were so helpful

Haven’t visited inside yet but the exterior itself is quite magnificent especially under the evening sunlight. Will visit again for the interior.
One of the Thousand - At first i heard the glorious singing from the congregation during an Easter service. Then returned for a visit. Huge inside like a cathedral in places. A well stocked bookshop and detailed history make this a visit for all sorts of reasons. The best part for me was seeing how this priory is alive inside. Met a member of the congregation who was flush with the love for her faith. I’m not religious but it was great to see that joy. Also an original ducking stool, very rare in Britain and a 10ft lion. What’s not to love.
This is a really lovely place, full of interesting history, although I did want to buy a book but didn't have any cash and no one was around so might be worth if they can investing in a contact less donation point similar to Hereford Cathedral. I only realised you could do a QR trail a few moments before I had to leave for my train.
A fabulous Parish Church in wonderful Leominster. Well worth a visit. We listened to the peel of bells ~ magnificent.
Went up the bell tower what fantastic views, although a little bit hazy really good, long spiral stone staircase which could be a bit tight but all round worth going up to the top...
A beautiful church surrounded by beautiful trees.
Lovely building with a fascinating history. Learn about why the priory has two naves. Sadly, the church is cluttered with a huge range of old furniture like an antique shop, which detracts from the overall impression.
Interesting very informative timeline and details relating to bayeaux tapestry, but found it a little modern e.g. chairs, lion, etc

Outstanding customer care and the food and drinks were great. Ordered small fish and chips and small scampi with chips. Cherry cider and a Pepsi. Really clean, fast service, included a check back.
After reading that this might be one of the "better Wetherspoons" we were very disappointed. The meals came basically cold (except for the chips). The meat was all very fatty and chewy and ended up leaving a lot. I'm not convinced the pork was cooked properly. See pic. The staff seemed nice but didn't follow up on basic requests. Odd lack of red sauce. The table of six next to us asked for an extra glass of water as their meal was served and were told to go to the bar and get a glass and pour it themselves. The inside and outdoor areas are very nice. Our table had a big dirty sticker mark on it but hey ho. As nice as the place was, wouldn't go again for food. Seems a place that unsavouries drink too.
As usual value for money breakfast and refillable hot drinks. Great selection of breakfast options. Friendly staff, very clean and really interesting venue. Returned later only for quick drink but noted staff very kind and caring to those elderly who needed a little extra help.
It's a weatherspoons. So really reasonable prices for drinks and food. And the food is usually pretty good. It's basic pub stuff... But the pizzas are surprisingly good, and the chicken wings are actually great. This one is odd, as the bar is around the corner from the front door. Front bit feels a little out of the way because of this. But extends much further than you think and even has a bear garden. Used to be the post office, and they have leaned into it with the decor with unique decorations themed around the mail and post themes. Take a second to look around, it's surprising.
Visited while passing through on our holiday. We were hugely impressed with Leominster and it's lovely people and the Spoons in Corn Square is no exception. It looks like a little pub from the outside but once inside, this 'L shaped' building is gorgeous and just goes on and on until to reach an absolutly fantastic beer garden and one of the best outside areas of any spoons we've visited. Lovely spacious seating areas inside nd the food is exceptional. Early morning breakfast is a treat here but you can't knock a spoons brekkie can you they are the best. This is a great spoons with great staff and would definatly call again. No parking on site but there is in the town but that is no problem.
This is one beautiful weatherspoons. Building from a post office and the theme runs through. 2 coal fires 🔥 burning when we arrived. Lovely and warm on a cold October day. We came for drinks only but the app service was running with only 2 orders waiting for the time we were here so food orders likely quick.
Brilliant. The app worked well. The food and drinks arrived quickly and were very nice indeed. The staff were helpful and efficient. Pro tip - go to the loo first, the ubiquitous wetherspoons stairs will give you an appetite.
I’ve usually got my little dog with me so spoons lose a lot of custom from me for not being dog friendly! Enjoyed a lovely Katsu Curry and a pint of IPA, great food, and amazing value. The only thing lacking is the atmosphere, the large buildings they own need some background music to make the experience - especially when they are quiet with the type of clientele Spoons attract more so! Great food and cheap beer though, I enjoyed it and will be back again when the dog is at the groomers!

Fantastic mini golf. Great prices all round. Exceptional staff. Very polite and helpful. Will definitely go again
Had an enjoyable 18 holes here today. Some tricky holes where you will get punished if slightly left or right if the greens on the sloping fairways. The 17th is a tree lined par 3 and the 18th is an exceptional closing hole. No alcohol drinks until the restrictions are lifted after April 11th. Coffee available from the machine for £2. Very good coffee. May return
Visited the golf club today as part of a society food and drink very nice.👍 The reason for the such low score was the atmosphere created after our return to the clubhouse. With a Club member not sure if he is a dignity or not shouting at a member of our society because he went down the wrong way on a golf buggy as a local and potentially interested in joining the club in the future this would put me off completely. He was completely and utterly rude and I hope the Club take steps to punish this clown.
First time going here as my son was desperate to play their new adventure golf. What a lovely place to come. The golf was very good and set in a lovely place with cracking views. Well all had a great time and the Adventure golf was worth every penny. It was busy so be prepared to wait a bit. . Will be definitely going here again
Nice place ,, shame its lack of staff and not much choice of drinks either Could do with updating the bowling shoes they were in a bad state besides that it was ok
I enjoyed the breakfast there.very friendly atmosphere .

Friendly, warm attentive service from very sweet staff. Best full English in Shropshire if not the world. Plus some excellent sculptures to whet you’re appetite. Plus, a supermarket with an art gallery upstairs. What’s not to like? Excellent stuff. Enjoy your 5-stars. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I called at the farm shop and restaurant on way home from north Wales. It was a great find. The shop was really well stocked with fresh produce. The cafe was great. I also found the Gin distillery interesting and will go back for a proper shop.
Really pretty farm shop and restaurant. Not very big which was a little disappointing but we got some treats and had some lunch in the restaurant. Ample parking, nice outdoor seating. Would come back for the restaurant. And would love to try the pub next door in the future.
What a fabulous find! This place has it all. It has a fantastic cheese counter (very knowledgeable staff), award winning butter, awesome meat counter, good selection of veg, locally made biscuits, jams, other condiments, sweets, bread etc. Also on site is a very well organised cafe, along with a gift shop and also a gin distillery! We went mid-week and parking was no problem, although I'm sure it gets very busy at weekends. We've just signed up to their loyalty program as we shall certainly be back.
Had a nice drive out to this farm shop near Ludlow. The prices are reflective of it being a farm shop so on the pricier side but what we expected. The choice of food and drink items were vast. We especially enjoyed their cheese and ice cream made from their own dairy. You can see them making the cheese through a glass window. We brought a small bag of the posh chocolates which were very tasty. Well worth a visit. Toilets were clean, shop was spotless and staff were lovely.
Well worth a visit 5 minutes out of Ludlow. Food in the restaurant was very well proportioned and reasonably priced. This was a ploughman's sandwich which was a full meal! There's a gift shop. Brewery/ distillery, and the food selection in the farm shop catered for everyone.
Been here a couple of times now, first time we were lady getting there and we only had scones(bit dry) and no plain scones as well!! Second time we just missed breakfast time( hate the three different meal times on the menu), the bacon pancakes were okay just no maple syrup between them so little dry, the bacon and sausage bap was nice. Each time been in it's not taken long to get the food after ordering, just remember to get your own cutlery at the desk.
Great farm shop, good selection, fair prices, bought delicious steaks here.
