Super easy process, really friendly staff who also make sure that you check and take pictures of the boat before departure to avoid any misunderstandings later on. I have rented boats before from considerably less honest companies and this is was such a great experience in comparison. We had a great few hours out on the lake and would come again if we're in the area.

Yesterday I got back from 10 days kitesurfing at Waterproofworld by Lake Garda. If you don't want to read all the details, here the simplest endorsement I can give:I already booked my next week at Waterproofworld for mid August! After trying several kite schools at Lake Garda Waterproofworld is the one which I keep returning to! When I'm there, I know that I will get the most out of my kite vacation. The courses for beginners work with a two-way walkie-talkie system and only a few students on the boat. I wish we'd found Waterproofworld when we were learning to kite - we were six plus students in the boat and often only had 10 minutes in the water per session. The thing I love most about Waterproofworld is being able to kite whenever I can. Other schools I visited tended to have a fixed program of morning and afternoon sessions (wind allowing). Often I was collected at the end of the session, wishing I could have stayed in the water. At Waterproofworld you pay for the kite sessions you book. Also when you're on the water, it's not for some fixed time X but as long as the wind blows and the guests want to kite. The boat comes by every once in a while to check everything is OK. I only ever stopped kiting when the wind died (or I was exhausted - my longest session in this stay was four hours:-) Things are strange this year with Covid-19. The lake was packed with Italian weekend visitors from Friday evening till Sunday evening. I was unhappy after a Saturday session on a packed lake and had all but decided I would wait for Monday to come before kiting again. Thankfully I went out on Sunday anyway. The station head had heard that I was unhappy on the Saturday. On Sunday he took us to a different starting position, away from the maddening crowd. I had a long, relaxed session on Sunday, though the lake was still packed.... brilliant - thank you Mathis! This year I loaned equipment, as my own kit was in need of repair. Brand new Cabrinha kites, bars and boards... a real joy to kite with! The weather was strange this year. Often there was no north wind in the morning, but the south wind was stronger than usual and often lasted for ages. It was possible to kite every day. Being able to have a long stay in bed in the morning was a luxury which I don't normally get whilst kiting and... considering the number of muscles which started to complain about overwork in the course of our stay, I don't know whether I could really have managed two sessions a day anyway ;-) As always the crew were great. Great fun, despite the long and hard days that they work. Great support when that was needed, whether that was planning equipment, restarting a kite late in the session or just checking by to ensure that everything was OK. By the way: we stayed at Club Da Baia a couple of hundred meters from the kite station. I can thoroughly recommend the combination Waterproofworld and Club da Baia -- see my separate review of the hotel. I have the luxury of living in Munich only about 5 hours away from Waterproofworld; so I hope that the week in August wont be my last visit this year!

I spent 3 days with Avid and it was fantastic. Excellent instructors (Lisa) and great, new equipment. The team are highly professional, very organised and we got on the water quickly every time. I loved my week with Avid and had a fantastic time. All of the instructors are super knowledgeable, patient, friendly and laid-back which helped my riding quickly progress - I went from beginner to independent rider across the week. There was a really nice vibe at the camp - I was greeted with siles and high-fives every time I wandered in. Every day was well-organised, communication about the wind conditions came like clockwork and were always clear, and we always got out on the water quickly to maximise the wind that we had. Big shout out to everyone at Avid who made the week so great for me - Lisa, Simon, Felix, Julia, Chris, Mosi, Emili & Flaumi - I had a fantastic time and will definitely be back!

We were a group of 6 friends, and we took lessons for five days, and we can’t recommend it more. Lisa was an excellent instructor; she had a very sharp eye and pointed out quickly all the mistakes we were making and gave us more tips to progress rapidly and fix them. We are very thankful for all the tips and tricks she showed us. Plus great sense of humour 😄 and patience with us. On the day when we weren’t lucky with the wind, we had a wakeboarding session which was, as always, relaxed and knowledgeable. Simon has everything perfectly organised, and you don’t need to worry about anything. It’s genuinely one of the best learning experiences. 10000% recommend!

I really enjoyed my 2 weeks holidays with regular kite trips with BeeKite. This is the best kite school I've been to - we visit them every year since 2020. Prices are fair, the atmosphere is phenomenal, changing bookings is a breeze. No negatives whatsoever. As far as I know there are instructors which can speak English, German, Italian and Spanish. This is how a typical day starts after the theory part: Show up at 7 as the wind is quite early on lake Garda. Put on a wetsuit and other equipment. Get on the boat with 3 other learners and enjoy the ride until you arrive at a windy spot. The instructor prepares your kite. Hook the kite into your harness and leave the boat. You get your own kite instead of sharing it, which means that you will progress much faster than in some other schools. That being said, the friendly and passionate instructors have a very diverse style - so you have the choice between "teach me as fast as possible" and "let's chill and learn a bit", or something in between. Just tell them what you prefer!

I booked a 2 hour private lesson to learn the basics of wingfoiling. The instructions were great, all the theory was explained very well so it was clear what I needed to do in the water. Niko is the best instructor I have ever had for any water sport. He corrects during practice and gives very clear valuable tips and tricks. As a former instructor in other (board) sports, I know the difference an instructor can make. Niko's strong didactic skills allow him to impart knowledge to his students in an effective and motivating way. He even took photos and videos so that I could analyze the position on the board and the position of the wing afterwards. I was so pleased with my progress that I booked a second private lesson. We booked with Julie and Niko unsure of what to expect. We were met with kindness and a truly dedicated teacher that was interested in helping us improve. We were very lucky to have private sessions, this may not always be the case. The school is quite small which makes the experience very personal…we had a lot of fun with the two owners and their friendly dog :) Overall a very positive experience and a new found hobby of sailing catamaran.

We went for a long weekend from Munich and had a really good time! The owners really know their stuff about the wind conditions and best spots on the lake, so we had good sessions every time we went out on the water. The rental equipment was very new. On top of all that we got recommendations for the best food around and for a nice spot in the harbour to have an Aperol Spritz as a sundowner. We will definitely make this a regular weekend trip :)

I've taken two days of lessons and I have made so much progress. The team is really nice and they make sure you get enough time out in the water to build your skills up quickly.

Really disappointing. Very formal: they will not rent you anything without a “license” - not even with a wind of 2bft. No judgement on whether you can sail or surf, the “license” is the only thing that counts. I would recommend anybody to go to Europa Sail (about 10k further north), ran by much friendlier people with great selection of cats, dinghies, surf board, etc. They will ask you a few questions and understand what your experience is.
