Beautiful ruins of a medieval castle in the valley above a sparkling creek, 6€ adult entry, avail audioguide for 1€. Nicely reconstructed, self-touring, enough spaces to park on the road leading to the castle.
A great stop for sightseeing. The castle is very interesting with a beautiful view. You can climb all the way to the top.
Astonishingly well restored and documented castle dating from 1100s to 1400s. Well worth the side trip.
An interesting corner of the Dolomites so close to the main and busy road. You can find a lot of peace. The road to the castle has been under construction for all the years I’ve coming here.
Spent a lovely hour or so in the castle, very interesting history and well- maintained.
A fun and interesting castle that seems off the beaten path! Short section of unpaved road to get to it, but there were many sedans there, so no trouble. You don't need an SUV. The woman at the ticket booth was very friendly and helpful! Easily worth the 6 Euros per person admission to walk around and enjoy the castle!
Amazinging historical site and a good stop on the way up the pass.
Cool Castello. Beautiful architecture.

I am a complete beginner and Giuliano made my lessons so much fun. He was extremely patient and professional and made an excellent crash pad. By the end of the week I was able to make it down a blue run and I’m already looking forward to my next trip. Thank you to him and Svetlana for excellent service all round!
We had lessons with Edoardo, a fine and wise gentleman who, besides being a great ski instructor, is a lovely person. He will give you some awesome tips, too, and we progressed with him really fast. Warm recommendations for ski school and Edoardo personally.
Ski instructor that I had was excellent. Ski school administration is useless. They wouldn't take a telephone booking, insisting that I go there in person. I went there at 3pm and was told that the administrator wouldn't be there until 4pm.This meant I couldn't have a lesson with the same instructor. Lucky that they have a monopoly in Arabba otherwise they would be out of business.
Alberto was a great teacher, definitely suggest choosing him! Great English, personalized approach and loads of patience. He also explains you the theory behind, not only asks to do exercises. Choose Alberto.
This review refers to M.S.A. sport e rent which shares the location with the ski school. I made a very bad experience renting my ski there. I asked for an intermediate 3* ski and when I returned it they made me pay a 5* ski for 27 eur for one day. In the ski rental around the corner (Top Ski) i later saw the exact same model rented as intermediate ski for 18.50 for one day!!! Careful with this dodgy shop!

(Translated by Google) Bad experience.... The teachers are serious and prepared, but unfortunately managed by a totally incompetent and dishonest organization. They move children from one group to another continuously, without taking into account the level, but solely on the basis of their organizational needs, to the detriment of progress. I would also like to point out the arrogance of the director who organizes the courses, who when faced with complaints allows himself to reply "It's Christmas week!! What do you expect?...". Unacceptable... An experience that will certainly not be repeated in the future. (Original) Pessima esperienza....

Recommended for adult as well. Igor helped me to understand prinpciples of snowboard and finally I feel there is a chance I’ll eventually ride:) I wish I found them earlier!
Overall a good school, conveniently located in Arabba. The groups for non-beginner 4-6 year old was 8+ kids - a bit too big compared to other schools, my kid felt forgotten most of the time and she said the whole group loosed focus if one kid falls (they fall all the time). She has not progressed a lot in her skiing technique- but she did have a lot of fun and was very fond of her instructor. The race at the end of the week was on Friday and it was not much of a show compared to the alternative ski school (we observed their race event in Thursday). At the end all kids got a trophy cup and a sweet treat. Some schools I’ve our practical souvenirs and medals. The trophy was much appreciated.
Super kind people!

I got a really strong celtic feeling when I was here. It is very well taken care....I was impressed.
Very impressive necropol. It was built for Austrian/Hungarian and German casualties of " The Great War ". Outside some hundred remains of German soldiers only, who died during the second world war, are buried. If you go there after sunset with a torch it is even more impressive. Please donat some bucks, to keep it as it is.

Love Arabba. Was my introduction to the Dolotites many years ago. Tragic to hear about the losses on The Marmolada glacier last week.
Subject: Safety and Signage Issues on the Geographic Trail (Arabba) Dear Sir/Madam, During my recent hike on the Geographic Trail near Arabba, I encountered serious problems with trail marking and safety. In several sections the signage was unclear or completely missing. Specifically, after checkpoint 11 the trail became impossible to follow – there was no indication where to continue, and I was forced to descend via a steep bike trail with loose stones. This was unsafe, slippery, and unsuitable for hikers. A hiking trail advertised as such should be properly marked and maintained. The current condition puts visitors at risk and damages the reputation of the region. I kindly ask that you address the signage and maintenance issues on this trail as soon as possible, so that future hikers can enjoy it safely.
Arabba has so much to offer for anyone enjoying hiking in the Italian dolomites. The scenery is breathtaking! We enjoyed our best hikes ever in the surrounding trails as far as scenery goes. Mountainbikers seem to have some great dedicated trails to enjoy as well! Those enjoying the paved roads between the different villages, whether on a bicycle, motorbike or car have superb scenery and roads to enjoy. As far as winter activities go I can only say there seems to be some great slopes as well. Arabba as a town is more of a little brother to places like Corvara, Selva di Gardena and so on. Smaller and less sophisticated and not quite as much to offer when it comes to whining and dining or shopping (hence 4 stars instead of 5). But you come here for the mountains and Arabba has so much to offer as a base for your excursions you don't want to miss out.
Beautiful location in Südtirol. Good for hicking and skiing
Great resort for skiing. Lots of runs and very well connected. Even when there had been no snow for over a month, they kept the pistes in excellent condition with snow cannons and piste conditioning.
Arabba and its surroundings must be one of the most beautiful locations in the Dolomites. The skiing is extensive and the management of the snow making is first class.
Great skiing with really long and well prepared slopes. Efficient ski lifts wich brings you back on top really quick.

The niches are positioned in a characteristic structure made up of four walls, arranged to form a cross, whose shape is easily recognizable from above. Very interesting memorial from the first World War time.
Nice place with a small ww1 museum. It had good items and lots of books for sale.
I sat in the car resting after the long drive on the empty museum parking with the door open. I came from far away to see the museum. There was no sign that read private or parking forbidden. When I got out of the car I was aggressively yelled at by a man from the museum and told to leave immediately. He said the parking was private and I could not visit the museum even though it was officially open. I was angrily accused of being a German and misbehaving although I was not told beforehand why. I would not recommend visiting this place if you are a German woman and alone. Bring a strong aggressive man with you. This man working at the place is not capable of communicating without yelling at you if you accidentally do something wrong you are not aware of. There are no signs telling you what you can do. This man is either racist or has a aggression problem. He should not be working in a public space. The museum itself is amazing! It was still worth being yelled at. I came back later avoiding the aggressive man.
Very informative private collection with a friendly informative host who explains in English
Amazing collection of ww1 objects. Very friendly owner will explain anything you ask.

(Translated by Google) I wanted to see the Marmolada from below and we discovered it by chance. Since we were there, why not go in? The ticket price is negligible, only €6, and I can assure you that for what you see, it's definitely not much. The museum is small but very well laid out. It's full of artifacts found over the years on the Marmolada glacier, which is still yielding many today, as it melts. It gives a vague idea of what the kids of '99 must have gone through in that period and makes you think. It's highly recommended. È pieno di reperti trovati nell'arco degli anni sul ghiacciaio della Marmolada che ancora oggi dato il suo scioglimento ne sta ridando parecchi. Great authentic pizza spot, try what sounds good. Tiramisu was excellent. Come early or make a reservation (via what's app) the morning of. We came Friday & Sunday and it was full both days.
These wood fired pizzas are absolutely delicious. There’s a few locals typically in the corner having a few beers each night, which I think adds to the atmosphere. I also love supporting a small family business, and the chef is super friendly and kind which adds to the vibe nicely too. All up, highly recommend.
Gream small pizzeria with delicious thin curst pizza. We had a cute nonna serving us and cozy atmosphere. Price today was 6E - 0.4L weissbier, 10-16E pizza
Great pizza. Authentic place, full of charm by its owners. Really good service.
Really nice cozy place and although arriving close to the end of the evening (opening time) we’ve got served nicely. Really nice pizza baked in the oven in front of us, amazing!
This Piza Restaurant serves some of the best pizzas I’ve ever had—perfectly baked with a crisp yet airy crust, rich flavorful toppings, and just the right balance of cheese and sauce. Every bite was fresh, delicious, and full of authentic taste. Highly recommended for pizza lovers! Do you want me to make it sound warmer and more personal, like a friendly recommendation?
Very rude chef, propably owner, he served burn pizza , outside and bottom, speck was completely burnt and bitter. I asked him for replacement but he started shouting on me, almost kicked me out. When I tried to take a picture, the older woman started treating me with police. I paid and left. Avoid.
Perhaps the best pizza we ever had. Superb place. Excellent service. Highly recommended!

(Translated by Google) The Church of San Floriano, located in the heart of Canazei, is one of the oldest and most fascinating places of worship in the Val di Fassa. This sacred building, dedicated to San Floriano, patron saint of firefighters and protector against fires, represents an important symbol of Ladin faith and culture. The construction of the church probably dates back to the 14th century, in an era in which Christianity was consolidated in the Dolomite valleys. Over the centuries, the church has been enlarged and restored several times, while maintaining its original structure and Gothic character intact. It has been the spiritual center of Canazei for centuries, acting as a point of reference for the local population. The building has a simple structure, with a slender bell tower that dominates the panorama of the town. Its façade is sober, but contains architectural details typical of Gothic art. Saint Florian is a figure of great importance in the Christian tradition. His devotion was particularly felt in Alpine areas, where the danger of fires often threatened villages. The church, in addition to its spiritual value, represents an important testimony to Ladin history and cultural identity.

Hit by a grenade during the fighting of the First World War and damaged by the 1976 earthquake (the one that caused disasters in Friuli, so to speak...), it was later restored. Colpita da una granata, durante i combattimenti della prima guerra mondiale e danneggiata dal terremoto del 1976 ( quello che ha fatto disastri in Friuli, per intenderci...), è stata successivamente restaurata.

Arabba Ski School/Arabba Holidays are the ‘go to’ company for ski safaris in the Dolomites. Excellent local professional ski instructor guides ensure top notch safety and local knowledge. Flexible and personable. We also hired our equipment from Arabba ski school and recommend taking the top quality category. Our guide was the legendary Brac. Known for his volcano adventures and North Korean ski expeditions- but a man of patience and calm. On our journey he stopped numerous times to render assistance to random people on the slopes. Always alert to his environment and any possible risk. Brac also managed to modify our itinerary when the wind closed down Marmolade and Averau - we skied Civetta.
We did the Ski Safari - Arabba arranged a thoughtful multi-day ski itinerary, with overnight stays at several rifugios in different areas. Our guide Massimo was exceptionally knowledgeable and quick to adjust the schedule based on conditions / weather / fatigue. Gear rental from the affiliated Scuola Ski was reasonably priced and had a good selection.
