Staff super prepared and very lovely. The place has a great vibe. The museum is well organized, a magic dive into A.D.N.‘s world. Her house is worth the visit.
An exceptional place (museum and home) of an exceptional woman who was a feminist and an adventure traveller before her time. The house visit is a must, as it is a guided tour led by a very knowledgeable and passionate lady, who not only knows her stuff but you can tell that she likes what she does. Brilliant.
Nice people & awesome visit
(Translated by Google) For those unfamiliar with this site and especially the story of this woman, it's an absolute must-see. But it's crucial to thoroughly visit the museum before visiting the house to fully understand the personality and life story of this extraordinary woman. The house tour is unique, as you can wander freely without any barriers. You truly experience the house as it was in Alexandra's time.
(Translated by Google) An interesting way to learn about the life of this Tibetan explorer, and beyond, who also had a decidedly authoritarian personality. Her house has been renovated. A lovely tour is available.
(Translated by Google) We took the guided tour of the author's house. We had a wonderful time; it was informative and captivating. The anecdotes and biographical details blended perfectly with the presentation of this place, so special to Alexandra David-Neel. The tour is suitable for a young audience (ages 7 and up). Reading the graphic novel about her life can enhance the experience.
(Translated by Google) A must-see! The visit to Alexandra David-Néel's home is a wonderful discovery. I discovered a woman far ahead of her time who knew, and was able to, achieve her dreams 😊 It took a strong character and a lot of audacity. The museum tour is self-guided and very well documented. In May 2025, an exhibition dedicated to Japan completed the tour. The visit to her home requires a reservation and is only for groups of 8 people maximum. This park was a surprise for us, I didn't expect to enjoy it so much, I loved the Japanese garden. Free parking
Speaking as an American this museum was deeply underwhelming. If your town or city has even a basic natural history museum it’s likely better than what this has to offer. If this place was free why not wander through but the fee makes it deeply skippable.
Very beautiful geoparc. Walks are not very long, but they have many steps. Very nice viewpoints like Japanese garden, waterfall, and terrace at the top. The exhibition at the top is also informative and interesting. Free parking is available, and entry fees per person is 8 euro.
Wonderful place for a walk, really beautiful waterfalls and the visitor can see the local fauna, including butterflies
Beautiful waterfall and garden with butterflies. The museum isn't that interesting most text is only in French and not in English. I would expect more from a Unesco Geoparc.
We had a great walk and had fun seeing the waterfall's. The walk is was not too far and was even in the (hot) weather a lot of fun.
Beautiful park with an nice museum at the top. The museum at the entrance is a waste of space.
Gorgeous walking sculpture garden embedded in a geologically fascinating hillside. A little steep but broken by plenty of zig zags. Great variety of modern interpretations of what landscape sculpture should be. A magic place for young children in families. Facilities are a bit light on but the views are to die for. Unfortunately a fair hike from public transport. Do bother with the exhibition Hall at the beginning of the trail as it explains some of the background.

Lovely plan d'eau, with shop/restaurant, climbing wall, pedalos. Very clean and friendly lifeguards. The water is beautifully clear, great shallow area for kids to paddle. Also up to 2.5m depth for doing some proper swimming. Lovely views too what more do you want?
Big place, the water was freezing cold, but we tried to make the best of it. In overall it’s very nice to swim!
Very nice open air pool. Clear water, soft grass to lie on. Children can play in the shallow part, bit there is also a deep part.
This artificial lake is fed by a water source from deep below. Its cool, pretty cool about 18 cel. But refreshing. Entrance is free.
Very relaxing for a swim, sunbathe or meeting friends.Envigorating water temperature.Plenty of activities for families.
Great place for a picnic and a place to chill with friends

(Translated by Google) Frankly, seen from the outside...... It's a place of worship, you wouldn't break a leg to see it. But from the inside, we see more grandeur, we see the centuries of life of the building. On the other hand, the basement, UNIQUE, this crypt is a well of knowledge and knowledge. We could also extend this crypt further under the city. In places like this, I always try to imagine the people who entered there, who participated in the construction of the successive place(s) that were built there. These people are in history, real people, they have achieved something great. Even (and it's a shame) if they don't know it!

And since that early period, you understand all the changes that have been made on the site of the current cathedral and right next to it. The film, "Dinia," shows us the first buildings in the village, the building that predates the thermal baths, the birth of the second city on the banks of the river... It's a superb journey through time and space offered to us by the archaeologists, the people who helped develop these places, and the staff who kindly welcome us on site. (Translated by Google) The construction of Notre-Dame du Bourg Cathedral dates back to the late 12th and early 13th centuries. It was built in the direct line of a succession of Christian buildings that were established, uniquely, on a pagan necropolis. It was erected on the foundations of a primitive 5th-century basilica, in the heart of the ancient city, at a time when the area was already depopulated. Indeed, as early as the 10th century, the population of Digne began to move to the Bellegarde plateau, to better protect themselves from attacks and invasions. The Bourg district was then abandoned in favor of the upper town, sheltered by the bishop's castle. Isolated and unprotected, Notre-Dame du Bourg Cathedral suffered looting and damage. Its use was gradually reduced from the 14th century onward, serving almost exclusively for funeral ceremonies until the 20th century. While the Saint-Jérôme church located in the new town became a replacement building and was recognized as co-cathedral in 1962. Built in Romanesque style with regular schist edging, a local material, the Notre-Dame du Bourg Cathedral is imposing in its size and its architecture with its sober and majestic lines. Its unique barrel-vaulted nave underlines its uniqueness, as do the paintings dating from 1480 that adorn it. Excavated by Gabrielle Démians d'Archimbaud, an archaeologist and professor of medieval history at the University of Arts and Humanities of Aix-en-Provence, and restored by Francesco Flavigny, chief architect of historic monuments during the 1980s and 1990s, it now houses part of the Archaeological Crypt and an entire liturgical ensemble created by a contemporary artist, David Rabinowitch. It has been restored as a cathedral since 1996.

Excellent museum.
A lovely place to visit. The museum offers a wide spectrum of artistic and scientific achievement, classical and modern. The museography is impeccable. The small exhibition room dedicated to Picasso is a gem. I didn't expect such a fine museum in such a small resort. Definitely worth a visit. Nature lovers should also something to admire.
Nice little collection of artwork and animal speciments, the view from the window is great
I went mainly to see Andy Goldsworthy’s ‘River of Earth’, after a hike in the Geopark. It is not easy to find in the museum but worth the hunt. Also saw herman de vries exhibit, very interesting. Just those two exhibits make a visit to the museum worthwhile, but there is a lot more.
To live life on earth, we have got nature as a precious and precious gift from God. Nature makes our life easy by providing all the resources available for daily life. like a mother to us
A delightful minor collection as is common in medium sized French towns. Always worth a visit as the curation is often exceptional and rises above the often parochial whims of the more well-heeled citizens. Should be paired with a visit to its geopark extension on the edge of the town.
Lovely museum with a great range of collections.

Perfect Time during Golf Competition early May !
Only used the golf course. Again the sand traps has not seen a rake this season. Probably because there were very little sand in them. Also the edge grass was not cut. At hole three I though of quitting because of the very poor maintenance. But then again the greens vere good so we kept going and had a very nice round. I do not know but €58 seems a high greenfee for this kind of golf course.
Was surprised with the room without air conditioner and i could not sleep coz it was warm. The room has only ventilator that is standing in the floor.

very nice place for both adult and children. There are 6 standard lane with 2.6m depth. The area for children&family are extensive with very good facilities (water slide, pool, bubble bath, mini water falls, etc). Highly recommend to every one. One suggestion is the bench for cloth change is bit narrow.
In the heat of summer, it is always nice to have this type of aquatic center to cool down and have fun.
Good place, nice equipments, the staff is helping and welcoming. Covid safe (you need to show a valid certificate). Not so crowded in late Aug during weekdays. Lot of space to park your car (some are not free but very cheap) you can bring your food and enjoy sunbath outdoor with table tennis and there is also an olympic pool and a jacuzzi.
25 metre pool, just ensure you have the proper swimming togs. No pool shorts allowed + swimming hat required. Small diving pool 5m too + kiddies area + jacuzzi. Good pool for doing some lengths.
I'm loving this pool. The amenities are great, a slight minus for the opening hours which can be quite tricky

The exhibition during my visit, in the reception room, was a little too elitist and difficult to understand. A special mention all the same for the museum on the heights dedicated to the geology of the natural park...it is ultra complete and very technical and equipped with real resources.

(Translated by Google) The Fabien Lerat exhibition, "Feet in the Water," ah no, "A Step in the Water," is difficult to exhibit or poorly exhibited. The meaning of the exhibition isn't clearly defined. Especially when dealing with works decontextualized from their interactions, like those of this artist. For a room like this without explanation, it's best to choose works that are pleasing to the eye. 😉

The walk up to the start isn't easy but it's a good warm up! We did the middle route, it was difficult in places but there were some good bridges and a zipwire (there is an alternative bridge instead) which was fun. There are also some good stopping platforms for a break and to allow people to easily overtake. The views are stunning on a clear day, would recommend stopping and taking it all in! Water is a necessity and try not to do it in the afternoon heat like we ended up doing, it definitely made it harder
Exceptionally well maintained via ferrata. From a climbing technique point of view it's rather easy, however the exposed position of some sections is nothing for people with fear of heights. For the rope slide a slider is necessary which can be borrowed at the local Intersport or tourist office.
A really beautiful via ferrata, with great ways at the rocks. It seems they have changed the route. Now it's separated in 2 parts - the first AD+or C/D (250m)and the 2nd part D (500m). From the top you have a fantastic view. Unfortunately we haven't found any topo maps of the vf with a description of the difficulties. The information was only D...
Breathtaking experience! We started at the digne tourism office where we rented the via ferrata gear. We called ahead to reserve the gear. They gave us instructions on how to use the gear and also a map of the route/how to get there. It took about 30 minutes to walk/hike from there to the start of the via ferrata. The via ferrata itself wasnt difficult but the views and heights were really impressive. There are two cable bridges to cross, a cave in the middle of the via ferrata, and a chimney ladder climb. The whole experience including walking to and back from the tourist office took about 3.5 hours (roughly 1 hour hiking, 2.5 hours via ferrata at a slow pace). I would definitely recommend this experience for anyone who isn't too afraid of heights.
Really enjoyed this via ferrata, well maintained, great views of Digne and surrounding hills and mountains. Less difficult than la Motte du Caire but still challenging in places. We had great weather and the path on the way up was full of spring flowers. I recommend this via ferrata.
Easy access, no difficulty. Great views on the city of Digne. Sadly forest fires removed trees from the trail going up. Still, my two daughters had fun and happily subscribed to a second one : la Meichira in Prads haute Bléone
Excellent via ferrata. Very exposed though and despite being an avid indoor climber, it turns out I’m terrified of heights and had to climb back down when I got to the first bridge!
(Translated by Google) Nice via ferrata, well-maintained and clearly marked. The difficulty is marked AD, but we're used to Austrian via ferratas, so this would definitely have been a C/D and probably a D. This is due to the height and the combination of a backward overhang (in some sections) that requires you to click over. I'm only talking about the "easy" first section, after which there's an exit route. I didn't even try the difficult section. Initially, we wanted to take children aged 7 and up, but after a reconnaissance run, we decided against it. The recommended age is at least 10 years old. Advies leeftijd minimaal 10 jaar.
