Lovely little place to visit nice little shops and lovely sea front
This is a very sad place to visit, less than 50% of the retail spaces are filled and the kids soft play place has closed down as the tenant has done a runner (according to the notice on the door!!) The shops that are open all sell the same sort of clothes or are outdoor wear like Mountainwarehouse and Regatta. There is a very nice coffee shop, we spent a while in there. (And the sunset as we left was spectacular.)Cant see this place surviving as a retail outlet village much longer. Hope I am wrong.
Disappointed with how few shops that were there, lots of empty units and those that were there were mostly the same price as regular shops. We've been in the past and got some good bargains from there. Large carpark that was nearly empty. Some units close earlier such as Bugtopia which closes at 3pm.
Having seen mainly negative recent reviews for this place, we were pleasantly surprised with the quality of the shops and cafe that were open when we visited today. Another plus point were the shrubs and flowers throughout the site. Our only slight criticism was the loud music playing all round the site but it didn't spoil our shopping trip. As others have mentioned, all the staff we encountered were happy in their jobs which made for a pleasant couple of hours of retail therapy!
This shopping area is picturesque set amongst winding paths and trees….. BUT hardly any shops open, more shops closed than open. Very quiet and not many customers which is a shame as the area around is lovely. Wouldn’t it be better to get a little for each shop rather than it shut and having no function… come on people who run or care for these shops stop being greedy , open it up with great shops to encourage customers. Get advertising you really are missing out on what could be a little treasure…
Lovely little quiet shopping village with a tiny reptile zoo. We had a cake and ice cream in the cafe which was nice.
Nice place to walk around. There are a lot of empty shops here, but the shops that are there are decent and can pick up some good bargains. There's a bit of everything, clothes and shoe shops, play area and Bugtopia, pound stretcher etc. The cafe here is very expensive and we found the staff quite rude. We've only been once and won't go there again. There's multiple car parks and lots of spaces. Nice little shopping area that could do with a bit of money putting into it and few more shops and another reasonably priced cafe.
My memories of here were of a very busy and vibrant shopping venue, sadly it seems that a lot of shops are closed and the atmosphere has ghost town feel about it - such a shame. The shops that are open are still great and some lovely bargains to be had.

Sizable freshwater lake offering wetlands teeming with waterfowl & boating opportunities.
Slide 1 of 8
Pop down to the lakes every so offen, you can go boating on the lake, you just have to hire one of there many rowing boats. There is also plenty of wildlife on & by the lake & on it. There also is a cafe there that does drinks & food the food is beautiful we had crayfish & prawns in a rocket ciabatta in a lovely sauce, food in there is five star with very pleasant & friendly staff. A great trip out on a nice Day. Highly recommend a visit. After that you could pop around the many art gallery & shops there in the High Street.
Such a beautiful lake but no access around it. Really disappointing that the only real view you get of the place is from the car park. Given its size and popularity it is unfortunate that the landowners have not thought to make a path around to allow people to fully enjoy it.
Some people go to Hornsea and never leave the beach but I do think they are missing out. When I go to Hornsea I walk a good long way out along the beach before heading back via the Leisure Centre. I then head to up to the old railway line, walk the length of the Green Corridor then round to Hornsea Mere. It’s usually pretty quiet at the Mere but there’s always something new going on see. If you need refreshments there’s a cafe where you can also buy ice cream. It’s possible to go out on the water or you can simply sit on one of the many benches. Lots of information boards.
Glacial lake which best reflects the natural Holderness region before the drainage of this land by the arrival of Modern Man and Cistercian Monks some 1000 years ago. The drainage and diversion of fresh water to sea and reservoir has continued ever since transforming the region from bountiful wetland of littoral people to dry Farmland and road. The lake remains accessible to the public and is Yorkshire’s largest fresh water lake. Rowing boats are available to hire for around £5 per head per hour which is highly recommended, motor boat trips are also available. We opted for one of the many rowing boats, out on the water the scale of the lake is felt in each pull of the oars, the friendly boat hire crew advised us to wrap up warm and reserve time and energy coming back to the boat house as a cold easterly blew in from the North Sea which resists progress, thankfully this was still easy going and an excellent way to connect to the landscape and people of the past, sailing the boat like the regions ancient tribal people the Parisi rekindling ghosts of our wild spirits as many bird species fly and float along with us through air and water. After the boat ride, public paths are ready to explore around the lake or take it easy & rest on one of the many unique and creative seats and benches placed conveniently around the boating area taking in the view of lake and big skies above. Great place to visit as an alternative to the beach, ideal for a picnic and relaxing in fresh air or indoors a visit to the cafe at the boat house. The lake ideal for a dry summer day but enjoyable views all year round.
Hornsea Mere is the largest freshwater lake in Yorkshire. Covering 467 Acres it is 2 miles long and 3/4 of a mile wide. On average it's about five feet deep although in some places it can be as deep as 12 feet. It is very popular for sailing there is a club based here. It is also a great place for rowing you can hire rowing boats here. There is a nice little cafe by the jetty. It is free to enter with free parking. It's also a good place for bird watching. Dog friendly it's a nice place to visit.
Its a lake, history is great, but unless you love birdwatching, you won't miss not seeing it
Cafe ,small walk & boat club, rowing boats here,,lots of birds ,take binoculars with you. Interesting history & thoughts while here. Weather heavy rain while we here but went in cafe which lots of choice. Look at for signs ,don't listen to sat nav. Tricky hidden lane really, blink & you have gone past it.
This is a beautiful part of the world that is worth a visit. Located by the coastal town of Hornsea the Mere has a large free parking area that is slightly uneven so disabled visitors will struggle slightly with the uneven loose surface of the car park. There is a gift shop and a tea room on site that is worth a visit but they are a little on the expensive side. There is also a boat yard that offers boat rides on the Mere at a reasonable price . All in all a worthwhile visit especially if the sun is shining.Remember to take some bread with you if you like feeding the ducks and geese.

Great place for parents/grandparents, younger children, or those who love the outdoors. Various animals as you walk round to see and feed some of them sheep, goats cows, donkeys, horses, pigs and fish. You can buy cups of fish, animal feed as you enter. There is a nice cafe selling hot and cold, drinks and food too but loads of picnic tables dotted around. You start and finish at the main barn this holds hay bails the kids can play on (only one high) also play forts in the woods and a small maze. The fish pounds are a lovely with loads of big fish you can feed at special feeding stations. Accessible for disabled/SEND children although it maybe hard with a normal wheel chair with small wheels (it's a farm and countryside) Highly recommended 👌 Its our special place with our kids
Great for families, animals are - sheep, goats, horses, cows, pigs, birds, chickens, ducks, fish, quail, small animals too. They have 2 outdoor tunnel play areas, a hay barn to run around in, several outdoor play areas. A maze, trails to walk around. You can feed the animals and the fish. You could easily spend a whole day here.
Fabulous place! Lots and lots to do for all the family. Several play areas, lots of animals (that all look very well cared for). Nice food at a very reasonable price. Great day out with the kids 😊
Good for the whole family. Fed the goats, sheep n fish. Had a nice wander about and decent coffee and snacks in the cafe. All very clean, wholesome day out 😊 would definitely go back
Everybody loves honeysuckle farm. You can feed the sheep and goats special animal food and the fish fish food which you get in little pots from the entrance. There are cows, horses and donkeys but you dont feed those. They dont have pigs anymore though, which i do miss. There is plenty of play opportunities for the kids with hay bales to jump on (under cover should it rain), tunnel slides (which even the 20 year old had fun on!)u, normal slides, rope bridges and wooden climbing frames. There's a hedge maze and lots of wooded area where you can build stick dens. The cafe is lovely with a good choice of food and drink at reasonable prices and the staff are lovely. If you want to take your own food there are plenty of picnic areas and tables to sit at. My only issue was all picnic areas are outside, the main one is under shelter but if you happen to go on a cold or windy day you can't keep warm whilst sat eating lunch as you're not allowed to eat your own lunch in the cafe.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Honeysuckle Farm is such a lovely day out for all ages! The animals are clearly well cared for and happy — we loved meeting the goats, donkeys, cows, and especially the friendly horses. There’s plenty of space for children to run around, and the feeding opportunities make it extra special. The farm has a relaxed, welcoming feel, with picnic areas, a cosy café serving tasty ice cream, and friendly staff who are happy to chat about the animals. The tractor rides are a hit, and the play areas keep little ones entertained for hours. It’s the perfect mix of fun, learning, and fresh air. Highly recommend for a wholesome family day out in the countryside! 🐐🐄🌾
Great place lots of animals and best of all for my grandchildren is the hay bales to play on
An absolutely fantastic day out with lots to do. Feeding the animals and the fish is great fun and den building in the woods keeps the kids occupied for hours. The cafe has a lovely selection of food including homemade treats with plenty of seating and lots of outdoor benches for a rest or a picnic if the weather is good.

This is a fantastic asset to Hornsea. Really interesting to walk round even as a local who has visited before I had a visit this last year and realised you soon forget and with new additions it’s certainly worth a trip! The gift shop which is free to enter has some brilliant items in it for both adults and children and is also a great source of local info from leaflets of local attractions to maps and bus time tables! Always worth checking out their local events which are usually brilliant including the ceramics festival, May Day event and beer festival
being past this lots of times as we thought nothing much, how wrong was we, this museum was tremendous, the room after room was filled with so much history it was nothing more then first class, each room had information on a read chart or you could press for automatic guide, it was just a great experience and yes I will definitely visit again, the only think what would top it off, a drinks machine, there was open space and would of being lovely to sit, contemplate with a lovely cuppa but alas, can't have it all but don't let it stop you from a visit, we all need to support these little diamond places so they are able to move forward to keep history alive. brilliant day at a brilliant museum xx
Just decided to pop in for a quick look whilst passing and boy am I glad I did. It only cost £6 to get in and got a full rundown of the place from one of the amazingly friendly volunteers. There is so much to see and it is so well presented and preserved. I could not believe they could cram so many things in there. The history is so interesting too. This place is a real MUST SEE!
We went this morning and thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The rooms are full of very interesting exhibits and it was very well presented. Definitely going to go back and take the grandchildren as there is something for everyone. A little gem of a museum.
What a lovely, very interesting museum full of local history and the pottery collection is amazing. A truly wonderful place to visit and only £6 entry fee! The volunteers are really friendly and informative. PS: I hope the the lady who had the replacement shoulder, this week and still managed her shift, recovers fully soon. That is dedication for you for such a good cause. Welldone to all volunteers 👏👏 The ladies from boggy Norfolk 😅
Unexpected gem in the centre of Hornsea telling the story of the town with an excellent Hornsea Pottery Exhibition. Not much to look at from the outside but it opens up with some superb displays in authentic settings inside and out with surprises around each corner. Freindly volunteers, brilliant visit.
This place is a little gem of a place that I bet a lot of people just walk past but let me tell you this is one place in hornsea that is really worth a visit. If you like thing of a bygone era that have ben kept in tip top condition and you like how communities worked well you will love it here. Some of the rooms have audio description.it was a simpler life back then and I think we tend to forget our heritage. The entrance fee is very cheap and the ticket last you all season so you can come and go as many times as you wish. There is a play area for the kids in the garden and don't let this building fool you as it's like a tardis, far more going on inside than the fascade would have you think. Truly worth a visit
Excellent little museum with plenty to interest most people, including children.Very friendly and helpful ladies at reception/shop area.Would highly recommend a visit....

Amazing little zoo - passionate staff, engaging talks, happy animals We had such a wonderful time at this little zoo! From the moment we arrived the experience felt so personal and special. Leah was amazing throughout our visit, she was so knowledgeable and clearly passionate about the animals. During the feeding sessions she not only shared fantastic facts but also gently challenged some negative preconceptions people may have about certain animals, helping us to view them in a new light. It was very quiet when we visited, and so the talks and feedings were almost like a private tour. Leah made time for so many questions and explained things in such an engaging way. I loved seeing how many of the animals were rescued and now being given proper care. It's a small zoo, but there's so much to see - we were happily exploring for about two hours. Many of the animals are free-roaming, and if you are patient and respectful they may choose to come very close to you - we got to see tortoises, macaws, stick insects, golden pheasants and iguanas so close up, it was brilliant. The enclosures are thoughtfully designed with lots of hiding spaces, and the signs are all genuinely interesting. Overall fantastic value for money and such a positive experience, I think it was the highlight of our holiday. Animals are clearly well cared for and the staff are outstanding.
Great little place to have a wander round and see a nice variety of tropical animals, with some lovely free roaming birds. It is small so don't plan a full day here, but it's definitely worth a visit. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable.
Great place to visit. If the tanks was set up so you could see the bugs a little better it would be a 5⭐️ Thoroughly enjoyed looking at the many species and will deffo return in the summertime to see the big blue butterflies 🦋
Okay, it's not as big a venue as I thought it might be but it is s very good. The talk on invertebrates was excellent and getting to hold a giant Madagascan hissing cockroach was brilliant! Well worth the visit.
We visited in February as a family of 4 (kids 3 & 4 years old). It's a nice little place and good to pass a little time. There's coat hooks available where you can leave all your things, coats, shopping etc. but it is only a small area. This was very helpful as we had our big coats, hats, scarves on due to it being freezing out and the temperature in Bugtopia is the opposite. We got there and were able to go straight in and through. There were only a couple other families in, so we could take our time looking for the animals, reading the signs and answering our kids questions without feeling rushed or in the way. We sat in one of the talks before we left and it was very informative and interesting. My then 4 year old was fascinated by all the facts. I think we spent about 50 minutes here and probably 10-15 was spent in the gift shop and getting coats on/off and washing hands.
Lovely little place, reptiles, bugs and birds, £13 for one adult and a child though for ten minutes, and my son walked straight in and back out again, although I guess the money covers the cost of staff, food, electricity, animals etc. You have to walk to the end of the shopping centre to find it.
Lovely few hours with my grandson during October half term. I particularly enjoyed the talk from the specialist Zoo Keeper about the Skink, and the opportunity to handle it. Parrots and reptiles are roaming about too, mind you one did try and get on my head which was a little scary 🤣
It was ok. Could do with a whole refresh just like the shopping centre tbh. I still enjoyed finding the animals but guess I was a bit disappointed in the small size of the place and how it felt like no changes had been made since it's first opening day. The staff member was lovely, the butterflies my favourite. Felt a bit sad about the location being so derelict. This whole centre could be so much more.

Lovely walled garden and grounds . Didn't visit the house on this occasion but will do another day. Had a delicious cream tea in the tearooms. Everywhere was beautifully maintained . Enjoyable visit.
This is a very beautiful and well tended walled garden. There are also three signposted walks around the estate, including a nice woodland walk. Will definitely visit again when we are next passing.
Worth a visit, house was closed when we visited but we saw the walled garden and we walked along the woodlands. The cafe is help yourself and honesty box, we sat outside and enjoyed the late September sunshine.
Went back with friends and had a wonderful time! The Volunteers were there and delightful to chat to (at a social distance)! I missed the Cactus 🌵 House the first time, it's in the far corner of the last walled garden which has the Tea Room First time I've been here, but worth it, we spent about 2 1/2 hours here. Cream Scones, a walk around the 3 Walled Gardens and the Woodland Walk. The Hall is open certain times of the year. Refer their website for opening times and prices. Car Park - in a field a few minutes walk from the Ticket Office. Gardens - 3 decent sized Walked Gardens, one partially a Vegetable and Fruit Garde, not extensive, but plenty to look at. Several Water Features. A small Tropical Greenhouse. The Mere - I assume a footpath will lead to this? Woodland Walk and Footpaths. Refreshments - certain times of the year, drinks, cakes and scones. Toilets - in the far garden.
Stunning place to visit ., The gardens and walks are superb . To finish your walk off visit the Conservatory for a wonderful treat. Tea / Coffee a wonderful choice of cakes . Be spoilt .
Superb place. Walled gardens impressive. Very calming. Will revisit.
We had past the entrance on the main road many times and said we'll have to visit. Well today we did. From buying our entrance tickets from a pleasant gent to the very knowledgeable guides in the main house to the lovely ladies in the cafe, it was so interesting with great walled gardens to view. The icing on the cake was the scrumptious jam and cream scones. We will be back sooner rather than later.
Lovely gardens, and a few short walks. Was a classic car event on, which we wanted to see. Not sure I'd pay £7 each without it. Tea room was too busy, so didn't go in, must mean it's good though.

Our first visit. We're visiting Hornsea on holiday. Andrew, who I now know is an employee was the most perfect host. As a lover of cask ale, the choice was superb. Our dog was made to feel so welcome. If I could give 6⭐️plus, I would. This is what a community pub is all about!
For me the best booze in Hornsea, fantastic beer selection right up my street, couldn't fault a thing, toilets very clean.
Good choices of ales. Friendly staff. Clean loos. Quirky and chilled place not to walk past.
Great little boozer! Well cheap! Great wines!
This quirky bar is fun and has really friendly staff, it seems to be a local hub for people who enjoy a chilled atmosphere and equally quirky clientele. The array of drinks are second to none, and the value for money is up there.
What a marvellous surprise, having walked in for a drink. Very eclectic mix of bar fittings, seats, and indeed customers. Wide range of beers, and smaller choice of lager and cider. If your into Gin and beer, this is the place for you. It also had a great atmosphere, relaxed and layed back. We saw well behaved children and dogs. Could turn out to be our favourite local bar.
Really, really like this place. First went in December 2021, enjoyed it. However, we visited it on April 29th, no worries....nice visit. Visited on April 30th.....ordered drinks...my wife ordered an Ophir Gin and tonic....for some reason the older bartender with hat decided to put chili peppers in the drink and also rub it around the rim of the glass. Needless to say, my wife was perplexed and upset. Bizarrely, before we complained...a younger bartender came and asked if everything was ok? We said no and explained our concern.?! We then asked for a replacement drink a few minutes later, to which the younger bartender obliged.... free of charge..... not sure why the older bartender had an issue..... really disappointed. Buyer beware.....
Great place whether it’s in for a quick afternoon beer and packet of crisps with the kids or something a little more adult on an evening. You can bring your own food and the pizza place will deliver. Board says says dog welcome, but no cats!!! Staff always laid back and friendly.

Great golf course and a hidden gem, in my opinion! First couple of holes ease you in then you play a great par 5 and 4 before the rest of the front nine being a mix of holes - long and short. The next par 5 (7th?) is well framed by gorse bushes and then there are some lovely tree lined holes that have that inland links feel. Back 9 had some excellent holes and a couple of well designed, tree lined and bunkered par 4s had me thinking of forest pines or even Formby. Greens were really good and rolled out well. Hornsea has a really nice traditional clubhouse, and staff and members we met were friendly and helpful. Excellent value for money.
Played a couple of weeks ago as a belated birthday present. Excellent test of a course tight in places and quite fiddly. Don’t expect to go and bomb the driver about. Excellent greens. Great shop. Went with my partner and it’s the most stuff for lady golfers that I have seen in a pro shop.
⛳ Hornsea Golf Club – A Hidden Gem on the East Coast I recently had the pleasure of playing Hornsea Golf Club, and it’s safe to say I’ll be back. The layout is a real treat — with a great mix of challenges and scenic flow. Each hole feels distinct, yet the course maintains a lovely rhythm that keeps you engaged from tee to green. The greens were in excellent condition: true, consistent, and well-paced. Whether you're lining up a birdie putt or scrambling to save par, they reward a confident stroke. Beyond the course itself, the atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming. It’s the kind of place where you feel at ease, whether you're chasing a low score or just soaking in the surroundings. Hornsea offers that rare blend of playability and character — a course that’s enjoyable for all levels but still keeps you thinking. Highly recommended for anyone looking to enjoy a quality round in East Yorkshire. A proper coastal classic.
Day 2 of our Tour. This was a step up from yesterday. A longer course larger and faster greens. Wide fairways. Everything was in spristine condition. The 2nd cut was deep enough for your ball to sink into and strong enough to make an escape difficult. Undulating fairways was taken to a different level. I'm sure it is a throwback to a time when the strategy was used to stop small aircraft from landing. It didn't spoil our enjoyment but added another element of difficulty. The Pro shop was helpfully efficient and friendly.
Brilliant golf course especially as it was bone dry. Groundsmen have the course I a beautiful condition considering. Tough challenge for all abilities but a real leveller. Nice breakfast and lovely clubhouse.
Me and my family attended my husband's Nanna wake yesterday and it was a fabulous time. Plenty of wonderful food, friendly staff and a great atmosphere. His Nanna's husband Roy Griffiths spent a lot of his time there so it was really fitting 💜
Lovely golf course, at 6,400 yards off the yellows it’s still a nice steady walk
Got an invite here from a work colleague for a couple of drinks after shift. Nice looking course, although I don't play myself, but was great to have a drink in the sun by the practise green while having a chin wag with the friendly staff and patrons. Lovely ice cold beer. However, the premises could do with some modernisation. I think you can visit now and then as a non member.makes a change to the busy Hornsea high street.

Managed to access due to Heritage free Open Days in September (open 1 day a year). Is interesting, but you must be able to ascend & descent steep wooden ladders. Recommended if you get the chance & you are able. Fantastic views from the top
Unfortunately I was never able to enter Bettisons Tower. I walked past it for 3 years when I lived in Hornsea and thought it was lovely. My husband is from Hornsea and never knew it was there. I love the history behind it and love how it's still around for people to enjoy today. Most recently it was used as an air raid look out point and siren during WWII. It must have been used frequently as Hull was the second most heavily bombed city in England. Now it sits in a housing estate off the main road that goes through Hornsea - Newbegin. I wasn't aware of it being opened when I lived there but it's nice to see the photos on here of what it looks like on the inside.
Cool tower / folly tucked away in a corner. It's worth a look if you are in Hornsea.

Well kept public garden area as a local memorial for those people who lost their lives for our Country and giving us the freedom that we have! A nice walk around and ok for dogs but please remember to clean up after mutty! 🐕
Hornsea Memorial Gardens is a beautiful park right off Newbegin - the main road in Hornsea. It is a lovely place in all four seasons and a wonderful place to attend the Remembrance Day Ceremony.
I appreciate the area for parking and tranquility, local to a lot of excellent amenities inc Cloud Nine my favourite restaurant, ERL Hornsea and the beach/sea. I admire some of the old school town houses nearby, reminds me of Beverley Westwood for half the price. And most importantly the cleanliness and quality of the world war memorial is a thing of beauty, respect and thankfulness for those who sacrificed their lives.
Clean and quiet an ideal place to sit after walking around the shops there's plenty of wooden.seats.for people to rest up and all the benches have a brass plate in memory of there loved ones around the large tree's there's a small patch of flowers which are looked after by professional gardener's on a warm sunny day it's a beautiful place to be, well worth a visit Sunday the 10th of Nov brought the remembrance service to hornsea which was well attended as like previous years it was pleasing to see the younger element getting involved The tree's and benches around the gardens were dressed up in poppy's as it was a glorious day we found a seat in the shade and had a cold drink before setting off back to the caravan I couldn't resist taking another couple of Photo's on our way back we decided to walk through memorial Gardens there we noticed 2 new metal seats which were designed for the those who were killed in both war's being a glorious day we went into memorial Gardens family's where sat on rugs having a picnic enjoying the lovely sunny weather birds came down with in distance hoping for any bread crumbs black birds could be heard in the back ground
Long, narrow gardens with lots of benches and trees for shade on a hot day. Well maintained and tidy. Has two lion statues at one end and the Lions bandstand at the other. Has a substantial memorial in the centre for those killed in WW1 and WW2, and as with so many war dead, taken before his time, a youngster of 20 killed in the war in Afghanistan.... none of you are forgotten. Rest in peace.
Peaceful and relaxing gardens with plenty of bench seating, including 2 new memorial benches with unique designs.
Walk through here a couple of times a week, it's a remembrance garden so a nice quiet place with a good few benches. Flat surface so fine for wheelchair users. Well maintained too.
Ideal to sit in the shade and reflect

Always holds a special place in my heart, memories of stopping off here for a bite to eat & drink with my parents and brother, after walk along the beach & promenade A family friendly & dog friendly place with outdoor & indoor seating The food & drinks are a little pricey, yet worth it when you get it served at your table, good quality with larger portions than you expect! It also has a little toy stall & two walls dedicated to local artists selling their creations, plus a second hand book store which is very cheap! The servers are obviously well trained, very polite & courteous, even when you make a mistake with your order they remain unflustered! Well worth a visit at any time of year as it's right next to the sea with a great car park too
It's ok. Food is not too bad, but it's a bit expensive. Cooked breakfast 5/10. Sausages were a bit dodgy, and the eggs were a bit snotty. Had 2 bacon rolls to takeaway. WOW. £10. They were nothing special. Don't think I would go back. Better places a short walk into the village.
Staff was amazing and attentive. £3.60 for a latte, which we found average £3.50 for a bottle of Corona. we thought a tad expensive
Well my wife, step daughter and myself visited a few weeks ago. I have to say there was plenty of outside fully veered seating. It's a large cafe inside too. We found the staff very friendly running back and forth for us constantly as we asked for multiple sauces etc. The food didn't take too long to arrive and was piping hot. Wife & daughter had large jackets stuffed full of tuna and cheese with a side salad plus dressing which was very nice. I had scampi, chips & beans. It wasn't oily or greasy at all. Big juicy scampi with crisp batter coating. I had a strong coffee and the two ladies had large pots of tea. It was excellent food and I imagine will be better when open inside. I highly recommend this cafe
Floral Hall is lovely place to visit situated right on the promenade at Hornsea. We visit often for something to eat or a cuppa. The food is tasty and reasonably priced, and there is seating both indoors and out. It also acts as a community hub, and entertainment venue. The staff are friendly and helpful.
Great location and community Spirit. Service with a Smile, plenty of Tasty Snacks and Light meals to Choose from. Artworks, Book swaps , Classes and Events.
The floral hall is a great place to eat, plenty of fresh made food to pick from. Plenty of seating inside as well as some nice sheltered seating outside, to shelter from the North Sea winds. Food is all cooked fresh, so sometimes a wait, but great sea views to wait so a fantastic place to stop for food or a drink.
What an amazing little cafe, with a stunning sea view! Very friendly, and helpful staff. They catered for my gluten intolerance, so I was happy. Enjoyed a delicious slice of cake, whilst admiring the wonderful view of the sea. Highly recommend!!!

We've been to the freeport a few times, but this was our first time visiting Beach Cove. It was a great experience! The kids loved running around in the indoor play area, which had plenty of activities to keep them busy. There was also an outdoor play area, but we didn't get to use it because it was raining. We only paid for the kids to go in, and we were able to sit at one of the many tables and order a drink. There was no time limit, so we were able to stay as long as we wanted. This makes it a great option for families on a budget.
The food is amazing. I get the daddy burger highly recommended, and the kids, the play area. 1yr later I had to get another
Good play area to take children with something for tots to nearly teens. The cafe sells a good range of snacks including jacket potatoes, burgers and chips, cream scones as well as hot and cold drinks. You can pay just to play both inside and out or combine play with food on a meal deal offer. Good value and the staff are very friendly and helpful. They are constantly cleaning tables and bringing out food orders. Inside it's soft play, slides, ball pool, ropes climbs and small ride on items. Outside there is a huge covered air pillow to bounce on, more slides and climbing frames, zip line, swings and a sand and water area plus lots of tables and chairs for the adults. Quite good value for the time spent there.
First visit with three kids ...five.. three and 21 months.. they had a blast.. it's wide and spacious with lots of visibility.. great 0-5 areas..Will defo be back The food was also very good .staff were lovely 👍
I visited today with my 2 year old granddaughter we were there approximately 10 minutes and paid £9.45 to get in.. the place was extremely filthy inside and out , cannot comment on the cafe area as didn’t stay long enough to inspect . Not enough things to amuse her inside and outside was as I can only describe as a derelict play area very unkept . Will definitely not be returning.
Facilities most definitely overpriced - £2 entry for an adult for what? Then get a coffee you are over £5 for an adult before sorted the children. Won’t be going back. Worst adult fee I have had in the whole of Yorkshire. £3.50 for the chips below. Shameful
We went to celebrate the Beach Cove's 1st Birthday. The kids had a great time playing on the large indoor play area and escaping outside every now and again to play in the outdoor area. For the day, party food was provided which is not normally the case and special guests in Else from Frozen, a Minion from The Minions, Moana from Moana and Cat Boy from PJ Masks. My youngest found meeting these characters the best part of the day.
Kids love it here, we spent a couple of hours outdoor on a nice day. They enjoyed the £1 go-karts the most but there was only 3 of them and 4 kids, be good if you could just get that extra one. On the face of it there's not much outside, a zip line, swings, sand, bouncy hill.. but the kids will literally just play there for hours. The indoor section is a bit more engaging and active for them but I find they quickly get tired of it, not that that's a bad thing

Cheap drinks. Buffet food good. Large venue. Small car park remember to put car registration into screen at the side of the bar
Been going to this club for upto 3x a week for the past 7 years but recently there true colours have been shown. When somebody gets suspended for having banter with barstaff which became apparent after a complaint was made against the managers daughter......coincidental?? But yet the Club manager can verbally attack an elderly lady in front of witnesses and only has to display an apology letter......sackable offence in my opinion (which i am allowed an opinion, freedom of speech). If you value your membership then my advice is that you shut up and put up cos the minute you start having a voice you get pulled up infront of the committee and suspended for 12 months
Great place with lovely atmosphere and staff. However, you need a membership to go for free which is £12 a year and £15 for new members or else you have to pay £2 every time you go in however, it is very worth it. There is a pool table for 50p a game, a snooker room with 4 tables and the snooker is a pound for 40 minutes. The drinks are always cheap and there is also 2 tvs, music and a darts board with a point calculator. Would definitely recommend getting the membership if you live in Hornsea or surrounding areas.
Lovely big clean smart club
Big club with separate bars and snooker room. Large car park. Big concert room with regular entertainment and Bingo etc very well furnished and decorated. Most of all very friendly members, staff and committee. Looking forward to seeing you all again.
We used to visit here on a Saturday pre pandemic and we always had a brilliant evening. This time we went on a Tuesday evening for bingo and we had a great evening, it was well organised, well laid out and the bar was open so a great time was had by all
Hornsea's Secret club.Tucked away on back Southgate. It's a hidden gem. Reasonable priced Beer, good atmosphere, quality artists, and Bingo for those that like it. Snooker, Pool. Everything for a pleasant time.
Generally very good. Discounted drinks for members. Usual entertainment, bingo, raffle, and live band/singers.

We wanted a professional person to frame our two pieces. We knew it would be a fare moneys worth but the art deserved it. My wife and I were stunned. It's art in its self. It's sealed, had reflective glass and the wood is beautiful. We have also perchased art for Christmas presents as well which are very much loved. He IS a craftsman to thee highest degree. Expensive? possibly but you DO pay for quality... x
Steve offered good advice as to what frames would suit the work we were framing without being at all pushy. Huge selection of frames and mounts. The "Art" glass is something I hadn't come across before with other framers but it is worth the extra as it really enhances the artwork. Excellent workmanship and packaging of the finished products. I would have no hesitation in recommending the Studio.
I had a picture that was in need of repair and so visited Southgate Studio. Steve went to great lengths to give advice on various styles of frame and mount combinations before I made my choice of replacement. I am delighted with the end result and would have no hesitation in recommending Southgate Studio both for picture framing service and also the range of unusual and original handcrafted gifts which are available. Well worth a visit
Stuart Firth Fantastic service - high quality framing, excellent attention to detail, no pressure to choose and extensive range of frames and materials. Steve is very knowledgeable and really cares about getting it right. No hesitation in recommending him. Studio worth a visit for other arts and crafts items.
This outlet has everything you will ever need and more for your practice, competitively priced and excellent staff.
I really value the creativity the Studio has when it comes to deciding and selecting a frame. Really pleased with last framed picture.
Very helpful service, extremely covid safe precautions in place which massively reassured me.
Very pleased with the framing a job well done

This is so much more than a bowling club. It's a place to make friends, a place to beat loneliness, a place to be active with people who are welcoming and of all ages. Bowls may be it's main focus but with other activities such as Bridge, Dancing and evening entertainment. It's fully stocked bar and kitchen is a place to socialise. Oh, and the bowling becomes addictive no matter your skill level.
Best thing you could ever do loads of really nice people. Really friendly staff. Great way to keep active in a nice warm friendly place.
What a fantastic facility, called in a few weeks back on the off chance and a lovely guy called Ian showed us the ropes and let us all bowl whilst he was doing a few jobs. I really enjoyed it and intend to go back in the near future
Nice place to go and just relax have a drink and a chat and a game of bowls staff friendly and helpful recommend this larger than it looks outside venue
Great atmosphere warm and welcoming. Friendly helpful staff. Entertainment was brilliant. Great night
Good venue, staff nice and friendly and helpful, Though the local bowlers who came onto the rink next to us, gave the impression they owned the place,,,, not so hot on protocol,,,, waiting for other players on mat first,,,, took the jack we had been using, slung it to the other end of the rink with quite a loud clatter, just as one of our party was about to take a shot!!!! Luckily we were practicing and not in a match,,,, the only down side to the experience,,, the facilities are very good
Just celebrated my 70th birthday here last night. Fantastic buffet commented on by all the guests. It was amazing as were the staff. Thank you so much to Tracy and Sandra for an amazing night 💜💜A birthday I wont forget in a hurry.
Very nice place and staff
