This museum is beautiful inside, and packed full of history. Well put together slide shows of the past and great exhibits. We had an amazing time strolling thru the past.
Really great local museum in a gorgeous new space in Monaghan. The exhibits were very well put together and each display was fascinating.
I visited in late July with my 2 teenagers and we loved it. The interactive features were a big hit and it gave a fascinating insight into life in border counties. The building is so accessible and bright. The welcome we got by the women at reception was so warm and we had a lovely discussion about life in monaghan and they were so knowledgeable. It was the highlight of our trip.
Monaghan County Museum is a wonderful place to explore local history and culture. The exhibits are thoughtfully curated, engaging, and easy to navigate, offering a fascinating insight into the region’s heritage. The staff are friendly, welcoming, and happy to share stories and answer questions. The museum is well-maintained, clean, and provides a peaceful environment to enjoy a leisurely visit. Highly recommended for anyone interested in history or looking for a charming cultural experience in Monaghan!
Well worth the visit. There's lots of information and historical objects from across Monaghan to see in the museum. I found the War of Independence exhibition particularly interesting with detailed information related to the county from that time period. Also it's free to enter so I'd certainly recommend paying a visit there.
A lovely place to visit.
Very interesting little Museum.
An honest reflection of the county

We have been coming here for almost 2 years, my little girl started as a complete beginner having already loved horses. If it wasn't for Marese, her family and team making every lesson and competition the highlight of her week I am sure she may have given up at some stage. The time and kindness they all dedicate to each and every person that comes to try riding for the first time or returns every week is a testimant to the hard work they all put in. I honestly could write pages on this place, from the way they make each child feel special and encouraged while riding to the opportunity they give some to help volunteer who may not ever have their own horse to the many children with special needs I see each week loving their time riding and the parents of that get to see their child thrive doing it. Honestly a jewel of a place that many would be lost without, thankyou Marese and all the people that make it possible week after week.... and all the horses too !
Visited here while staying locally in Monaghan. Our kids are 3,4 and 7 and they really enjoyed the visit. The older two had a half hour lesson and the staff were really helpful, attentive and friendly throughout. It was a proper lesson full of tips and the kids felt safe at all times. There is lots of horses here and we got a good tour of the place too. It’s a really homely spot. We only booked last minute too and they were really accommodating. I just wished we lived closer! Kids loved it. Would recommend if anywhere nearby! Only 15 mins from Monaghan town.
Whenever we go to Castle Leslie we always make sure we go to Mullaghmore Equestrian Centre too. This is a brilliant riding school with great horses, even for a big lad like me. Marese is a brilliant instructor for both beginners and the more advanced. Can't recommend this place more.
Very good place my daughter had first riding lesson today and she is excited and we booked already next one Horses are beautiful and looked well and a wee pony what my daughter was riding was so peaceful and gentle worth to go for sure and im thinking to get lessons for myself as well.
My 12 year old daughter had a couple of private lessons with Marese whilst we were staying nearby. She really enjoyed them and rated the teaching experience very highly, and better than her regular equestrian centre in the UK! We will definitely return when we are next in the area.
Just had the best experience with mullaghmore equestrian centre, we booked last minute for 9 kids of varying ages, they all had a blast didn’t want to leave, especially when they saw the Labrador puppies, very reasonably priced .. thank you so much
If you visiting Co.Monaghan with family, this is a must do activity for both adult and kids. Went with a group of 10 ppl for a special birthday present, the whole experience was just amazing, the whole team was very friendly ,conducted the session very professionally at the right pace as it was our first time. Will highly recommend this crew and will definitely visit you guys again, thanks again to the whole team👍👍.
Great facilities indoor, outdoor, x country & sensory trek. range of ponies for all age groups. Staff are very good with people of all abilities & very professional. My kids love it and are growing in confidence. Option for group or private lessons, Highly recommend.

Visited lough muckno white island recently and had a splendid time. Met some locals and fished for pike. Caring depths were interesting from 3ft-35ft in sections. Few pike caught in the 20ft region. Fantastic access and room for viechle access. Will return again.
Out for a days fishing nice spot, boat slip needs serious upgrade
Great park, plenty of space for dog walkers but be aware not everyone has their dog on a lead. Wear shoes that you don't mind getting muddy as some parts of the walk track are quite mucky. There is usually a coffee van on site and there are public toilets also up beside the castle. Great childrens playpark also and lots of free car parking (but obviously dogs aren't allowed in that section). Well worth a visit in Castleblayney.
A great day out. With 6 different routes the longest being 2km you can spend the day exploring. There are plenty of places to stop and have a picnic whilst taking in the gorgeous scenery.
Nice big park, walking, hiking trail, can feed ducks. A small shop selling duck food, hot chocolate, ice cream. Nice place to go with kids as has a kids park as well.
Beautiful and well worth going. Fishing or just for a nice day out it's well worth going 😎
This lovely lake is well-known, I believe as a great place for fishing, walking and water sports. We stopped by on a gorgeous summer's evening for this fabulous photo opportunity. We will return again to explore the area more.

I had the most amazing morning with Brenda for my first 1:1 pottery session. She shows you the ropes and gives you the confidence needed to successfully make almost anything you want (within reason of course!) We chilled, had tea and just enjoyed the whole process. I would highly recommend busy bees ceramics and will most definitely be back again!!!
Lovely lady, very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. Wonderful experience for our anniversary.
We had the most amazing experience today in Busy Bees Ceramics! Brenda was so patient and made us feel so at ease. A lovely relaxing afternoon, would highly recommend!😁
Lovely studio in very quaint Glaslough village. We were 3 novices across 3 generations and Brenda made the introduction to throwing pottery very accessible. She blended the perfect amount of guidance with allowing us freedom to experiment as well. A very enjoyable afternoon- would highly recommend!
Such a lovely friendly and relaxed atmosphere! Have been several times now and had Brenda to a birthday party at our home! An excellent family activity for old and young Alike!
Brenda is a top host. Wonderful days pottery painting. Highly recommended 10/10.
Busy bees was a fabulous place. Brenda made us feel very welcome. She was a great teacher. My nephew's & daughter made lovely mugs on the potter's wheel. It was their 1st time & Brenda was excellent at showing them .They had great fun & want to go back. I would recommend this experience for anyone. We will definitely be back.😃
My girlfriend and I had a great afternoon painting mugs with Brenda, who was very welcoming and helpful. It was a fun and relaxing activity and I would recommend for all ages. Very reasonable prices also!

We recently had a communion party of 65 for lunch, upon arrival we were greeted by the club captain 'harry' who showed us around,3course meal was served promptly with plenty of staff on hand, food was top notch, lovely setting in the middle of a Forrest, top marks to this place and it's management for making our day so special... highly recommended..
Had a family get together here. Service and food was excellent. The fish and chip was slightly small in portion but very tasty. The cappuccino at the end is better forgotten. Selection of alcohol free beer needs to improve as well especially for a golf club.
Had a family get together this evening. Was very impressed with the quality of food and service. Special thanks to David and Cíona who made us feel very welcome. Totally recommend this place will be back for sure 😁
Brilliant course to play golf. Also restaurant serves really tasty food and very reasonably priced.
We went for Sunday lunch. To avoid if you're single or couple with no kids! Vegetarian options is decent. Roast was apparently good. It's decent enough but not as a regular
The clubhouse’s restaurant has recently been taken over by new management and open to non club members . The menu all looks delicious ,the evening I ate there the food did not disappoint. We went for the steak night offer which was 2 generous sized steaks , sides and a bottle of wine for €50. All top notch, cooked perfectly and great value for money. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful. Will 100% be back . ( picture below doesn’t do it justice )
Above & beyond FAB! Service 1st class. Friendly, helpful & efficient table & bar service. Clearly a happy staff who give off a warm welcome atmosphere, bend over backwards & without over-doing it vibe. NOW for the food.......... O! M! G!!!! There are few places that u can say without exception is:, juicy, plentiful, scrumptious, hot & yum yum tasty.
As always a real treat, food excellent, staff lovely, all round a great place to eat drink and relax

Had a blast. Went for the paintball and played 4 different games over 3 hours, totally worth the price. Highly recommended. Also to mention, our guides, Tony and Fiona both really helpful, hardworking and fun to be with. Even took pictures during the game for us to look at later on. Also provided us with refreshments after the games. Very homey environment. Had no complaints.
Had a great time on the pontoon boat tour. Our guide, Logan, was a very personable young man. We were so impressed by his knowledge of the history of the area as well as the geology and history of the formation of Shoshone Falls. Such a different view from above looking down especially with base jumpers coming down toward us on the River. Highly recommend.
Just finished paintball at awol, amazing spot, well run, brilliant fun!
The paintballing was a fantastic experience, didnt think i would like it but i did very much. The staff and owners are very kind, friendly and helpful. They have put a lot of effort into the combat zones which shows and really made the experience. Great for birthday gift, stag/hen doo and team building exercises.
We had a fantastic afternoon doing standup paddle boarding with Tony yesterday. He could not have been nicer. He was a great guide for us and the kids had a fab time. I would highly recommend it to all. Thanks again Tony.
Tony and Fiona were absolutely brilliant! From the history of the area to the activities on offer, you couldn't get better! An absolute pleasure for the whole group of 7! We will surely be back!
Had a great day out on the Blackwater River with Tony Very enthusiastic and very persuasive in that he got me to try stuff on the water that I thought I would never do. Thanks Tony we will definitely be back!!!!
Such an amazing experience, the people were beyond lovely and the games were so much fun, will definitely go again!

Unfortunately it was closed when we went But nice to see it even from the outside and nice to sit and listen to the river going by
I’ve been to Lourdes in France Saint Catherine's Chapel on the Rock in Colorado This spot is as nice as any of them - absolutely gorgeous
A house of tin is an unusual thing Not even the three pigs could think of it Standing tall upon the rock God's gaff shelters amongst the trees Huffing and puffing as much as he likes The wolf wouldn't blow it down St Peter would protect them Safe in His place of tin and rock We too shall be saved
This little church is a beautiful gem, clad in steel, built on a rock and a lovely stream flowing beside it.
Beautiful little church so peaceful and river running around it.
Beautiful quaint location with a stream trickling along side it. Picnic area available.
Beautiful and unusual church, in a wonderful scenic setting. Well worth a visit.

Very good gym with modern and clean facilities, ample parking with all possible amenities. In addition to the gym, there is a specific area for spinning, martial arts, tennis and an environment where various physical activities are scheduled throughout the week. 100% recommended. Honest prices.
The level of professionalism and customer care exhibited by the staff at this establishment is markedly lacking, with a notable portion of the personnel displaying a disinterest in the goings-on and some even crossing the line into outright rudeness. This was personally experienced by both my wife and myself through several unpleasant exchanges. Additionally, it appears that the policy regarding towel usage and the subsequent cleaning of equipment post-use—a courtesy expected from patrons—is not adhered to by staff members utilizing the facilities for their own workouts, leading to concerns over hygiene and cleanliness. The overall condition of the facilities is mediocre at best. The men's changing rooms are particularly problematic, suffering from a persistent and overpowering bad smell. Accessibility is another issue, as a significant number of changing cubicles are often found to be locked and unavailable for use. The swimming pool's temperature is unpredictable, fluctuating between uncomfortably cold to an agreeable warmth with no apparent consistency. By the end of the day, the pool's water quality deteriorates noticeably, often containing debris such as used plasters. The shower facilities, while functional, have water pressure so high that it feels almost hazardous, capable of causing discomfort or surprise to the unwary user. Moreover, the sauna room does not provide the expected level of warmth, falling short of providing a genuinely relaxing experience. Interactions with some of staff, particularly those stationed at the counter, further detract from the overall experience. Attempting to obtain information or assistance often results in responses that are awkward and seem unwelcoming, making what should be a simple inquiry feel as daunting and unpleasant as a laborious ordeal.
Was pleasantly surprised at how clean and well-kept the swimming facilities are. The kids had a brilliant time going up and down the slide and the place wasn't overcrowded. The girls at the front desk were really nice and the staff at the pool kept the slide open for ages to the kids could enjoy. Will definitely be back.
Today, taking the children to Coral swimming pool in Monaghan, we had a blast 💥. Definitely worth the trip and the fees. They had an obstacle course in the pool which was truly brilliant on top of the big water slide, what a surprise! Miss Kimberly was again a little ⭐️ braving everything with enthusiasm. She got one of the very best score, impressing everyone again, Isla got top score too. All children did fantastic! It was so much fun! If anyone fancy a blast in the water with the family, without going too far. The safety team were top notch too 🤞🏽. Especially the youngsters very kind, helpful, energetic and so much fun. I have enquired and YES 🙌🏾 a pool birthday party can be arranged too with the obstacle course. They unfortunately not put the obstacle course out everyday, only on a Friday so you pay a little bit extra on top of your family pass for a wrist band to access the obstacle course or just a fee for one hour of obstacle course only. What cracked me up the most was the fact that everyone believed that I was the children’s Nannie. When I told them no they are my own children they couldn’t believe. One man went red, because he had to many ideas assuming I was only the children’s Nannie 🙈, haha oh gosh it was so funny. I admired his bravery talking to me and also really appreciated how he apologised from making an assumption. With a sore back, we sadly missed out on a lot this summer but today was totally a fun day 🤩! Thanks to Coral leisure Monaghan and teams.
If I could give this a 0 star rating I would, My daughter came here the other day. She told me staff were extremely rude and aggressive. My daughter tried to hold onto the ledge for support in the deep area she got in trouble by the “instructor”
Perfect chill out Sunday afternoon. Not crowded at all, so very relaxing. But I wish we were told that the sauna was closed at the entrance.
Very poor.Overpriced at 9euros.Lockers only give back half your money . Assume the public are fools.Dont go there.Armagh much better any day .
The staff girls every day are disrespectful, and when we are training they come with you and say you are here for 1 hour when you only are for 15 minutes. That’s not good.

Thoroughly enjoyed Seamus O'Rourke's show on Saturday Lovely venue 👍
Lovely venue. A night at the musicals...fabulous show!!
Brilliant venue. Excellent sound and a great performance by clara rose
Good venue but very disappointing show with Conal Gallan - up the poll. Very much an amateur play, not funny more childish. I expected a much higher standard of acting as he is a very good stand up comedian.
Excellent venue. I have been there on many occasions. Small cafe but fast service. There is a varied programme of events.
The home of Drama in this County Town. Top touring drama groups- Headline comedians - Ireland top performing artists. A very well looked after Venue with friendly helpful staff and management. During the intervals, you can part-take a little light liberation or a cup of tea/coffee and a snack. Curtain goes up at 8 sharp, so get in early.
Very modern and spacious theatre with everything you would expect. The toilets are very clean which is nice to see. They put on a wide variety of shows and also have other events and workshops that run throughout the year. The building is Alos very well kept which makes it a great venue to visit.

Went for dinner on Mothers Day and it was so so busy. It took a while for our food to come but that was completely understandable, the staff were completely flat out. We received our food from young waitresses who were still smiling despite being under a lot of pressure. Everyone in our group said the food was very good, hot and very tasty, and the portions were massive. I will definitely go back another time when it's not so busy but I would definitely recommend the Sliabh Beagh Hotel for dinner and a drink or two.
Had the most amazing experience at the Sliabh Beagh Hotel. Everyone from the servers to the bar staff and office staff were exceptional, most friendly people you could meet. The food was out of this world (amazing chef). The rooms were comfortable and well stocked. The locals made you feel very welcome. Had an amazing time, dad meeting up with nieces who he hadn't see in years. Will be returning shortly. Thanks all for the amazing experience of Sliabh Beagh
Had a family dinner in the Sliabh beagh after a few recommendations about the quality of the food. Have to say we weren't disappointed. The chef needs to take a bow because every dish that was ordered was absolutely beautiful. Great quality food, amazing taste and very generous portions. The desserts were also out of this world. Will 100% be going back and recommending to people to go and visit.
Food is excellent and the cheesecake was TO DIE FOR. Me and my family have been talking about the food since. Top notch and reasonable. Great service and so good to be home and eating in the Sliabh Beagh. There's a wee play park across the road which was perfect when my three year old had a meltdown!! ☺️☺️
Enjoyed a relaxing stay here. The rooms are comfortable, food was good and a big breakfast. Good atmosphere in the bar, friendly and helpful staff and nice to know the community benefits from the profits
Beautiful hotel in the countryside. Room was spacious and spotlessly clean. Food in the bar was gorgeous and fab breakfast. Friendly efficient staff. Very well kept hotel. It is a credit to the people who run it No complaints whatsoever. Definately recommend.
We had a lovely stay. A very comfortable hotel and must say the food was top class. It is a little of the beten track but is a lovely country setting with lovely local community . I do hope to return again .
Highly recommend great service. So quiet and peacefull. Playground across the road. Absolutely spotless. Food was Absolutely amazing. Staff very friendly.

Very quiet and visually awe inspiring Lovely place to go and contemplate
Beautiful views and a scenic drive through the hills. Important Tip: Do not set this location directly in Google Maps. It may lead you through rough forest trails with rocky roads and fallen trees blocking the way. Instead, search for ‘Bragan View Point’ and navigate to that. It will take you straight to the parking area via a well maintained road.
The weather didn't help much to appreciate the surrounding but that is a beautiful place
Beautifully views with amazing history. Dedicated to murder of a priest saying mass on Christmass day 1754

Great spot to hang out and meet friends at the weekend over a few drinks.. I especially love the vibe in the smoking area and I don’t even smoke but I would chose to sit out there quicker than in the bar area. They also have really nice gin!
Tip top pub...lovely inside and sweet little beer garden with BBQ facilities for private bookings etc.

A very friendly and professional service. I had ongoing back issues, inflammation and muscles spasms which affected my posture at times. I had a detailed consultation first with Victoria, before she created a treatment plan. After my third session, I have had no back pain or muscle spasms. My range of movement and posture have improved dramatically. Thank you again Victoria!!
After only 2 treatments with Viktorija I was like a new person again. She completely fixed my back. This lady is amazing at her job, full of knowledge. Viktorija makes the treatment very gentle and actually enjoyable. I would recommend anyone having any back issues to go Viktorija.
Victoria is absolutely brilliant. I had trouble with an old MCL knee injury and thought I would never get rid of it. Victoria helped me through it with treatment and gave me exercises to do in my own time. I’m finally exercising again, as normal and most importantly pain free!! Thank you for everything.
After years of going to different people, from physios to chiropractors to osteopaths and no one listening or been actually able to help me, Victoria was recommended to me. when I first went to her I was at me wits end I was in so much pain, not able to sleep with pain or walk I had a permanent limp, Victoria was the only one who took time to work with me and listen to me and finally figure out what was actually going on with me. She is still working with me but I am happy to report that for the most I am pain free , have my mobility back, and I can sleep and drive the car pain free. I am a work in progress and only for her am I able to function like normal again I cannot recommend her highly enough.
I have no hesitation in recommending Viktoria's services. I was very pleased with all aspects of the diagnosis and treatment of an over-use injury that I sustained through running. Under Viktoria's plan and observation, I was able to recover full strength and pain free movement over 4-6 weeks, and I now have the appropriate exercises to deal with the issue in the early stages, should it ever reappear.
I had a great experience with my physical therapist Victoria, who helped me recover from a back injury. She is so kind and understanding throughout each of my physical therapy sessions, always listening to my feedback and adjusting the exercises accordingly. She always takes her time to take care of my issues – her qualifications are impressive. She also gave me helpful tips and advice on how to prevent further injuries and maintain my mobility. I would highly recommend Victoria and Monaghan Therapy for their great services. Luigi Pilla
Viktorija literally save my blocked neck. After very first visit I felt relief of sore. Viktorija has very nice attitude to her clients. If you have any issue with your body, Viktorija is the best choice for you.

Victoria's strategic use of spinal manipulations, her approach to pain management, and her prescribed regimen of specific low-impact exercises at home expedited my recovery in ways I hadn't experienced with other treatments. Her dedication to helping me understand my condition and the healing process was critical in reducing my recovery time significantly. Victoria's methodical approach to post-treatment follow-ups, aiding in keeping tabs on my progress, played an essential role in my quick return to work. In conclusion, my experience with Victoria at Monaghan Therapy wasn't just about the superior treatment I received for my back pain. It was about embarking on a journey led by an empathetic, knowledgeable, and highly skilled physiotherapist whose main concern was getting me healthy and back to my life as soon as possible.
