What a great museum. First time coming, and I really enjoyed my time there. Full of beautiful historic planes and equipment. I appreciate the volunteers and people who work there, doing what they do to preserve and maintain these amazing machines and honoring the men and women of the time and what they did. I look forward to returning on Canada Day when the Lancaster fires up. We took the tour led by Phil, very enjoyable. He was entertaining and full of knowledge. Thank you.
Great place to bring kids to, lot of different war time planes to see. There are 2-3 different types of aircrafts where the kids can go in and even sit in the cockpit. Lot of historical information related to specific planes and the role they played during various wars. They have 2 propeller planes which offer the opportunity to fly in them as well. They also have free flight simulators which are a lot of fun. There is a small merchandise shop which is nice. There is ample parking. overall lot of fun for kids and adults alike. Overall must visit place for anyone interested in WWII, Canadian history and aviation history.
Great place to learn about Canada's contribution to the world wars. Minus one star for the aged and disabled who wish to visit the open flight deck but have to walk up 3 flights of stairs. Thanks to all the young and experienced cadets who are really impressive with their product knowledge. The restorers and engineers are doing an amazing job fixing up this rare collection. The Runway cafe is really good value with all the usual fast-food you'd expect. And acknowledgment to the pilots who give their passengers an unforgettable experience
A surprise birthday flight on the C-47 Dakota was a very memorable experience. My original flight was cancelled due to poor weather conditions so I rescheduled the next available date which was Rememberance day. The pilots and other volunteers provided excellent information about the history of the plane. We flew over multiple Rememberance day services during the flight and experienced the excitement of banking into a turn. I've flown many times on commercial and smaller planes to northern communities but this flight will always stand out as unique with the rumbling roar of the piston engines and the bare bones interior. Would highly recommend to any plane enthusiast, a truly unforgettable experience.
Excellent place to visit and see the planes and learn how they were helpful to RCAF in defending sovereignty of our country. Interactive videos of decorated airforce personnel, who are not amongst us but the museum has kept them to see and learn about their lives. Place worth visiting.
We had our wedding here in October 2025. Stevie-Jane couldn’t have been more accommodating and easy to deal with. She communicated everything to us clearly and set expectations appropriately!! The day went as smooth as can be! All of our guests said the venue was so unique and fun! If you’re looking for a unique, and classy wedding venue, this is the place to be!!
What an awesome place. My 13 yr old wants to be a pilot and just being there with him was such a great experience. There was a large group of air cadets when we were there so we could not get a guide, but the self guided tour of the museum was fine. Would absolutely recommend to any plane enthusiasts and also anyone wanting to see some really neat Canadian history. Very well maintained, I really loved seeing these planes being restored, just awesome important work! Would definitely go back
The Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum is more than just a museum – it’s an experience. What I loved most was the hands-on aspect. Unlike many museums where everything is kept behind ropes, here you actually get to climb into cockpits and explore the interiors of some of the aircraft. It felt amazing to sit where real pilots once sat and imagine what it must have been like to fly. The collection itself is incredible. Each aircraft comes with detailed stories and history. I was especially impressed that many of the planes are still in flying condition — it’s not just a static display, but a living museum. The museum is also very family-friendly. Kids seemed to love the interactive displays, and adults could spend hours taking in all the history. Overall, the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum offers more than just a look at planes — it’s an immersive, hands-on experience that connects you to Canada’s aviation history in a very real way.

My family members all enjoyed the go kart very much. We didn’t mind that we had to stop to do the lap counts. I think it is a nice little break before you race out back on the track on your maximum speed again 😆 All the workers we encountered are very friendly and helpful. I think it is a great place to spend some quality and memorable times with family and friends. One thing though, if you race closely behind another go-kart, you will end up with a lot of black dust on your face and neck 😂
Great little place for some fun activities. The race tracks are ok. A bit too short for me as an adult. The kids had fun. There’s paint balling , I saw rock climbing. There’s 1 tower for that. A little snack bar with some picnic tables. They have a misting tent which is cool when it’s so hot out. Free parking. Overall the staff seem pretty nice and Knowledgeable in there fields. Prices are reasonable for what you get. Definitely a must try. It’s great for groups as well
We visited this place hoping to have fun and enjoy some adventure activities, but unfortunately, it fell short of expectations. The only available service was go-karting, so that’s all we were able to do. We inquired at the front desk about playing laser tag and using the target range, but were told we'd need to wait an hour and a half for a staff member to set it up. Despite waiting over two hours, nothing was ever prepared so we left. We drove more than an hour to get there, only to be disappointed. It’s frustrating when a facility promotes multiple activities but isn’t prepared to deliver on them. We hope management takes this feedback seriously and ensures that staff are ready and available to run all advertised games, so other visitors don’t have their time wasted. Pros: we love their snacks, all delicious and budget-friendly.
Wonderful experience!! Came as a group of 8 for my boyfriend’s birthday, we did go karts and paintball and all had such a great time. Great location and friendly staff, highly reccomend for parties or just for fun, you will love it!!
I don't have an opinion on the facility but the food was fantastic. Added the menu, correct as of 02/07/2025
Overall, it was a good experience. The staff and activities were excellent. The only minor issues were that the go-kart helmets and car seats were dirty.
The track here is super fun. But please count your laps yourself and ask the person tallying what lap your on. I just went here and my group paid for 10 laps but we only got 6 and another group said they got cut short to. Called the place after and talked to some girl I don’t know her name she wouldn’t tell us her name. She just argued with us for about 5 mins before hanging up on us. Not sure again what her name is but she had gigantic eyelashes and a heavy attitude you won’t miss her.
Lots of fun. They have some double ones if needed. Some go pretty fast, but not all. Track has bridges and underpasses which makes it more fun. Everyone was nice and helpful. Overall a fun experience.

We LOVE this wonderful place. Southern Pines has been one of a few beautiful, local courses that have made golf accessible for our family. Memories with my late father, husband, son and daughter are such an appreciated source of joy for me. Jeff, Gail, Cristina and Sylvia are all so personable and accommodating, always going above and beyond to make our time here fun and easy. We love to sit on the rustic patio for a cold drink and nachos (hint- get the extra ground beef!) Soooo, thankful for this place!!!💗
The course is always a fun one to play but has been in better condition. The older staff have become somewhat rude, younger staff in the restaurant were very nice. Very overbooked from the looks of it and extremely slow pace of play. Front 9 took just over 3 hours and often had several groups waiting on those ahead. Overall was a good time but be warned, tee boxes and greens are in very poor condition. Watch out for Ticks!
Incredible service, food and beverage selection. The ladies working the restaurant/patio were wonderful and made my first time golfing a special experience. They provided us with a cooler to carry our drinks in and when we arrived the gentleman at the front desk took time to fully dry our golf cart from the rain. I am so excited to come back! What a great way to learn a new hobby in such a welcoming environment.
Have golfed here for years, and this year I decided to buy a membership. Fantastic golf for a fantastic price, the service is great and so is the food! If you’re looking for a well rounded experience this is the place!
RUDE PRO SHOP STAFF RUINED MY EXPERIENCE!!! My family and I golfed here on Sunday morning. We arrived at 7:50 to check-in for our 8:00 tee time. We had a Wagjag voucher (which I will get back to) for two of us and paid for the other two. This all went smoothly and we were told we were next on the tee. As we were about to drive to the tee, the group scheduled after us jumped ahead and teed off. There is no starter to enforce anything at the first tee so we were stuck waiting on the first tee for 15 minutes and proceeded to wait on every hole after that. The course condition is very poor. Understanding this is a “budget friendly” course, the course will not be perfect, but every single green had major bald spots and was so slow it was like putting on shag carpet. The rest of the course was full of weeds and had a lot of divot and cart damage. Tee boxes were very uneven as well. Significant decrease in condition even from last year. After our round, we stopped in the restaurant to eat and use a nacho voucher which was included in the Wagjag deal. The restaurant staff were FANTASTIC! Very polite, quick, and accurate. The food was good and hot. This was the best part of the day and almost made up for the poor conditions and the constant waiting, but it could not make up for the pro shop! After our meal, we stopped in the pro shop to use the $100 store credit which also came as part of the Wagjag deal. The staff seemed preoccupied and annoyed the entire time we were there. They had multiple signs on racks saying “excluded from the corner”. We asked for clarification on this and were told only items in “the corner” could be purchased with the Wagjag voucher. I said that this was not mentioned anywhere on the voucher or in the fine print. I even showed him that I was able to use it on their online store for any item, including the shirt I was trying to buy that he said was excluded. I ended up ordering the shirt online without issue using my voucher. The Wagjag voucher also included range balls which I didn’t use and have no intention of using as I will not be returning to this course after my experience. My suspicion is that they sold more Wagjag deals than expected and needed a way to try to recover some costs, hence why I still had to pay tax on the green fees and why certain merchandise was excluded from my in-store credit. For a budget course with worse than poor conditions, you need to have at the very least great customer service. The younger staff in the restaurant was great as mentioned, but the face of the business in the pro shop who interacts with every customer was very rude and ruined our experience. My advice is spend the extra $20 and go to a real golf course that understands their business. Very unfortunate to see a local course go downhill so quickly.
Played golf here with my 10 year old son. The course is tiny and that was ok with me as my son is young. For some reason the price is really high and no break for junior golfers either. The course it self is ok if you haven’t actually “golfed” before. No markers on each hole to tell you yardage and very poorly maintained. Greens are soooo slow. Like the fringe on normal courses. Club house is very outdated and small. This course should be half the price it is now. Not trying to be rude just trying to help others.
Had the distinct pleasure of taking a lesson with Jeff. Didn’t need a swing overhaul, just some fine tuning. Identified my issue quickly, didn’t overwhelm me with technical info and really simplified the fix. Complete gentleman and a pleasure to hang out with for an hour. Also, loved the Moe Norman stories. Two “thumbs up”, thanks Jeff!
Southern Pines is a great little course that provides some interesting challenges in a relaxing atmosphere. The fairways and greens are well maintained. In addition, there is no other golf club that is as respectfully personable to people as the course staff are to its guests. From the greens keepers to the pro shop staff, to the dining area staff and to Elaine & Doug Millar, all treat all guests with with the utmost respect and are always there to try to make your visit a pleasant one.

Went as a group on 9 and everything was amazing! Was our 1st time and we’ll definitely be coming back! Amazing staff, nice maps and safety precautions are on point! Owner also mentioned that since they’ve opened, “25 years without a serious accident”! Which really assured us that we were in good hands. They also had extra clothes on site that you can wear over your own clothes so you don’t get paint on them for free! I was sceptical at first but they assured me that clothes are washed after every use and laundry machine was on site. Definitely give this place a try! You won’t regret it
Great environment and great field. One can enjoy to the fullest. More no. People could be more fun to the game. You get a real battlefield experience because many time there are jet and planes going closely tộ ground. Perfect destination
I have played here twice with a group. This place has good equipment and ranges to play. Pricing is not that bad either. The only thing wrong or how should I say, something which would make me consider other paintball establishments than soldiers of fortune would be the lady sitting behind the computer in the container taking payments. She is rude. My friends were like why is this woman so angry? I don’t know but you guys need to take a look at this, give her some training on how to deal/talk with customers! I would have given 4 or 5 stars if it wasn’t for her behaviour. I’m not against or after her job, but just give her some training!
My friends and I have been to SoF twice now, and both times have had a great experience. The staff, especially Ryler, are all great and make you feel like old friends. They’re casual and friendly, but knowledgeable and super helpful, too. The field options are nice and the pricing is also fair. There are food and drinks available, as well, and a number of picnic tables where you can set up camp. I look forward to returning and hopefully bringing even more friends along!
I've played a decent amount of paintball over the last 20 years, most of the people I brought with me today have not. For several, it was their first time, for the rest it's been a few years since they last played. We all had a lot of fun even though I delayed everything with my equipment malfunctioning. The staff was great and patient with us and I want to thank them for putting up with us. Awesome day.
Had a great time for my buddy’s Bachelor party good prices and great staff shout out to ryelor who was our private referee had great games for us to play and kept the vibes going. Also let us get a ticket for unused paintballs that we can redeem if we come back. Highly recommend!
Great Place for fun family and friends entertainment. Friendly staff and affordable prices. Just not the most cleanest facilities, is why I gave 4 stars otherwise highly recommend.
If it were possible to give zero stars, I would. This isn't due to a lack of facilities, but rather because of the extremely rude and aggressive behavior of the staff. It's disappointing to be treated so poorly, especially when we're paying customers there to enjoy ourselves- not asking for charity. A basic level of respect and courtesy should be expected. In particular, one older staff member seemed especially unprofessional and frankly appeared to need help managing his behavior. I would absolutely not recommend this place to anyone I know. Worst experience from the staff

I loved just being on the course. The course is gorgeous, especially in the morning as the dew is lifting off the fairway. The forest, actually the whole course, is the birds (and probably other smaller animals) home and playground. The bird's fill the air with a cacophony of delightful songs, something I especially noticed during silences. I imagine the course to be tiring to walk as there are rolling hills to tread on most of the holes.
Our team at Guest Plumbing and HVAC has had the pleasure of supporting the plumbing system at Hamilton Golf and Country Club, and it’s always a fantastic experience. The staff is professional, welcoming, and truly committed to maintaining the highest standards across the entire facility. The course is beautifully maintained, the clubhouse is top-tier, and the entire property reflects the same level of care and excellence. We’re proud to work alongside such a respected and well-run organization. Highly recommend HGCC to anyone looking for an exceptional golf and club experience!
A surreal experience playing a PGA Level course!! Invited to play the South-East Course as a guest and was in awe from start to finish. The scenic views overlooking the fairways riddled with bunkers is amazing. Course conditions were very consistent and in fantastic shape to play after a rainy day. Best view on the course, hands down, is the walk on the 9th hole on the South course (18th green on the Championship Course)!! Greens are challenging and quick, gotta make sure you stick it close on this course. Would love to play this course again, hopefully invited out again in the near future.
Hamilton Golf and Country Club with another great success hosting the RBC Open. Although the weather was not cooperating, the course was still manageable to navigate, lots of great spots to view the play, lots of covered areas when it started to drizzle, and tons of opportunities to be very close to the players. Tons to do for younger spectators and nothing beats 13th hole crowd. Tons of fun, great job HGCC.
What an outstanding course!! Conditions and Natural Beauty! The Slope of the greens! What a gorgeous day! Thanks RBC Canadian Open! Golf Canada!
I absolutely loved being out on the course — it’s truly beautiful, especially in the early morning when the dew gently lifts off the fairways. The entire course feels alive, surrounded by forest that serves as a home and playground for birds and other small wildlife. During quiet moments, the air fills with a chorus of birdsong, which made the experience even more peaceful and memorable. The rolling hills throughout the course add to its charm, though I can imagine they make for quite a workout if you’re walking all 18 holes.
Attended the Canadian Open here several times this past week. My family are members here as well so we’ve frequented this place several times, including special events. The course is always in pristine condition and the staff are always a delight. Keep up the great work.
This is the ultimate private golf course. Attended the CDN Open 03-09 June 2019. Winner Roy McIlroy. Attached a few photos. So well organized, looking forward to next time. GO Steam Whistle brewery!
