Absolutely magical! It’s every bit as beautiful as on pictures or even better. Wonderful place for a little morning-afternoon stroll - breathtaking views, beautiful gardens, tons of history and culture all in one place. We also visited the restaurant they have their and the food was also lovely (though nothing spectacular taste-wise).
This was the highlight of our entire trip, take a short bus ride from Beaulieu Sur Mer, it's worth loading Lignes Dazur as this can be used on both bus and trams in the area. Entry is up hill so I recommend comfortable shoes and clothing as there is quite a lot of walking to appreciate the villa and garden in full. Entry fee is 13 Euros per adult which is very reasonable considering there is no time limit and you can stroll round and appreciate the beautiful interior and exterior. They offer a guide device in several different languages, they do require a identification for these to be provided but it is very informative and provides detailed guides throughout each area which is numbered to ensure you are able to take in the history. Upstairs there is a short film about Béatrice Ephrussi de Rothschild. The gardens are beautiful, each have different themes and a wide range of unique plants, flowers, statues and photo perfect views.
It's location for a luxury villa cannot be battered. You have stunning views of two bays from this elevated position a hundred or so feet above the sea. The villa is beautifully built and well maintained with interesting gardens which are beautiful with huge numbers of plants, water features and colourful flowers. Even though the villa was only built in 1912 it feels due to the workmanship, especially the masonry carvings that it was built a hundred or so years earlier. It's not a particularly large residence (unlike Waddesdon Manor in England). This I understand was their 'winter residence' which I could quite happily live in! The sun is out, not a cloud in the sky, no breeze. It is truly a magical place
Beautiful gardens with a stunning villa. Very tranquil settings for various style gardens offering plenty of shade. Inside the villa the rooms are carefully displayed with lovely paintings and antique furniture. A must to visit , highly recommended.
Take train to Beaulieu Sur Mer and then bus 15 which is just down the road om the left where you came out from the train station (on the right is SuperU market) Make sure to have cash, it cost 2 euro but since youll buy it without card or charging ur card it be 4 euro. 7 minutes ride. Then when u arrived there will be sign. Its a beautiful place they allow you to charge your phone there, honestly i dont have complain at all. I came when it was super sunny so it was lovely. Took a lot of pictures too. Theres student and special rates too, so book accordingly. I went on Tuesday, barely people it was bery nice
Absolutely stunning. Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild is one of the most beautiful and memorable places to visit on the French Riviera. If you’re anywhere near Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat, make the time to go. The villa was built in the early 1900s by Baroness Béatrice de Rothschild. It’s filled with antiques, artwork, and rare porcelain, but the real highlight is outside. The gardens are on another level. There are nine of them, each with a different theme. The French garden has a beautiful fountains. The gardens are serene and beautifully designed. Every turn feels like a new discovery. What makes it even more special is the view. On one side, you see the Bay of Villefranche. On the other, the Bay of Beaulieu. You feel surrounded by water and sky, with the gardens stretching out in front of you. The villa itself is very well preserved. You get a strong sense of the baroness’s personality and taste. The audio guide is included with admission and adds just the right amount of detail without feeling too long. Plan to spend at least an hour and a half here. There’s also a café if you want to stop for a drink or a light bite. If you’re driving, try to arrive early since parking is limited. You can also get here easily by bus or taxi from nearby towns like Nice or Monaco. Whether you’re into history, architecture, gardens, or just beautiful places, this is worth every minute.
This beautiful belle epoch villa belonged to the Rothschild family. The villa is still originally furnished. The second highlight besides the villa are the gardens: nine separate gardens focus on roses, cacti, japanese plants, or succulents. There is a tearoom and a restaurant on site. Stunning views of the coast.
another gorgeous location - vast, lush gardens you can get lost in, absolutely stunning views and the villa itself is a testament to the endurance of luxury architecture and the human need for pleasure. moderately busy during midday/afternoon, but absolutely not a problem.

I had an amazing experience at Paloma Beach in Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat. The beautiful views truly make it feel like a dream location—absolutely breathtaking and perfect for a relaxing escape. The burrata was fresh and creamy. Highly recommend for anyone looking to experience a slice of paradise with fantastic food and a wonderful, wonderful atmosphere! Will definitely be back.
Came to paloma plage to dine at this restaurant and to enjoy the beach. Gorgeous little nook that becomes quiet heavily populated during the day. Get here early to secure yourself a spot on the free beach or rent beach chairs ahead of time! I absolutely loved the pavlova we ordered for dessert. It made the entire dining experience.
pure heaven. My husband and I came and rented beds for the day (€55/pp). They serve you water side so you don’t need to go to the restaurant if you don’t wish. The food was great and the views are unbeatable.
Such a wonderful restaurant. They offer transfer service €10 per person to come and fetch you if you’re arriving on a boat. We were recommended a grilled fish to share, absolutely delicious. The house rose was great too. Beautiful beach to go and lounge the day away. The colour of the sea is blue blue and the staff is very friendly.
I believe the restaurant is closed but the beach is a must go!! Arrive early, bring snacks and enjoy the day :)
Loved our experience here. Great food and good enough prices and yummy drinks. Fabulous setting. Go for a walk along the rocks to the right. Be sure to call in advance for a reservation. Loved that this place actually sent a confirmation of your booking unlike other beach clubs. Will definitely come back here
In the case of the private beach, we made the mistake of not booking a sunbed in advance, but we still had lunch in the beautiful beach. The waiters are courteous and friendly and the food is delicious. Although not essential, the fork is the size of a ladle. :):) I heartily recommend, a great experience, definitely a French Riviera experience.
Hmm. First of all when they saw me and my sister they came up quite sceptic but once we asked for the full service and all amenities they changed their behavior towards us. I understand. We had a great time at the beach, delicious drinks although a bit overpriced. The overall service after renting a sofa was very friendly and they checked on us nonstop. Thanks 🤙🏻

Absolutely a must do if you enjoy nature walks! It was difficult to do midday in July due to the heat - we each drank 1.5L of water, so come prepared! It wasn't crowded on a Friday, and there were a couple places to get in the water. I suspect there are more spots to take a dip at high tide, but we did it when the tide was low. We hung out at a spot with a platform and ladder and jumped into the sea and had a picnic. When you're done, go hang at Plage de la Garoupe!
The best hike in the south of France! Takes some effort to get to the hike but spend a day walking the entire exterior path! It is so rewarding, bring a snack and just find a spot to take it all in! Once you are done hiking around walk around the adorable town and stop at LE Jean for amazing food after.
Beautiful path that runs right alongside the cliffs. You can only pass by foot (no bycicles, and definitly no motor vehicles). Be aware that even if the path itslef is not too much steep or difficult, it has a lot of protruding rocks and stairs along the way. Also, there are no protections that prevent you to fall off the cliffs into the sea: pay attention on where are you going all the time.
Very cinematic walk, no secured path, pay attention to kids.
Best of Saint Jean Cap-Ferrat... highly recommend, but not for young children...several bars and restrooms on the path...perfect!
An excellent path to walk with stunning views. The sun gets hot in the afternoon on the Villefranche side so might be a good idea to start there and finish on the Beaulieu side. Highly recommended!
Excellent view of the horizon, if the weather is favourable (clear skies, sunny and moderate winds), walking by the turquoise seawater is pleasant. It's not really a hiking trail, at least towards the north but a crude promenade. Note that a blind navigation using Google Maps can be confusing as you may land up at the entrance of a secured military area. Go to the lighthouse and walk around 100 mt from there. The area is packed with plush estates and you have to park on the roadside - there aren't any dedicated parking spaces. After a walk of around 500 mt, the surrounding doesn't change much so you need not invest time in walking. Simply grab a sunny spot and relax!
Went all around it in 1.5h walking, great views 🌊 especially during sunset when is less warm. Be aware of mosquitos 🦟 especially in the evening and toward the end of the sentier.

Wonderful Private Beach, Restaurant and Lounge located at St. Jean Cap Ferrat: one of the best of Côte d’Azur Rino Siconolfi Instagram rino_siconolfi
Gorgeous location, terrible service. We arrived midday on the off chance there would be beds available. We were informed only the double beds at the back were available for £170 for half the day which we reluctantly agreed to. We then witnessed multiple people be offered the single sunbeds at £55 throughout the afternoon we appeared to not have booked either. There appeared to only be 3 staff members working the beach and the service became the real disappointment of the day. We spent an hour trying to flag down a staff member to order drinks and some food. Eventually we ordered and went for a swim. When we came back our drinks still had not arrived and we were told we hadn’t ordered with the specific staff member that holds the only device you can order from. After ordering again, the food and drinks arrived quickly and were okay - nothing amazing for the price. It then took another hour to flag him down for a second drink. The location is 10/10, the most gorgeous clear water we have swam in and beautiful views. However the service, price and overall attitude of the staff really let it down. We paid considerably less at a different beach club for more food, drink and quality service.
The restaurant at the Plage was excellent. Great lunch experience, Superb and delicious food, great beach vibe and good service. Charged Parking is available close by. Beach chairs are exorbitant at Eur 100 a person. The restaurant is directly at the beach and you can go into the water right after your meal which is excellent and convenient.
Beach was super rocky and hurt until you got in at about the waist. I wish I brought slides or waterproof sandals to wear. Service wasn’t great at all. They never checked on me after my food was delivered to see if I wanted another drink
Off season it’s a great beach, calm and you get the sun in the afternoon, the water is clean and you have a nice view. You also have toilets and showers. In the high season I don’t recommend it at all. Its full and it’s especially full of people and young men (non European) that don’t respect anyone scream and are annoying so that the police has to come over and over again, and that next to a beach club that rents chairs for 100€
A truly memorable dinner in a setting that captures the magic of the French Riviera. It was my second time here for a special occasion, and I’ll definitely be back again. Our waiter, Ludovic, went above and beyond to make the evening feel personal and special. The perfectly cooked meat, exceptional wine, and one of my favourite views in the entire French Riviera, especially breathtaking at sunset, made for an experience that felt both intimate and extraordinary. A magical evening from start to finish!
Beautiful and charming place, food reasonably good. Bonus points for the girls in the dining area, especially the one with the tattoos, really kind and lovely.
We went there end of Sept, the weather was still good and it wasn’t crowded at all.

Had the most amazing time. We did the 1 hour tour in which we picked to visit Monaco! We even got over the 1 hour time which was great, our guide Yannick was absolutely brilliant and so so kind! All staff were very polite and friendly would 100% recommend here to anyone visiting😄😄
Had a great first experience at e-foiling with Jim. He’s a great coach…patient, encouraging, and focused on making sure you have a successful experience. I’m definitely returning for more fun!!
Had a great morning out on Sea-Doo Jet Ski’s with Louis. He lead us down from Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat to Monaco and back. During the time we enjoyed a swim in the beautiful blue, warm water, plus returned with a close up view of the Mega Super Yachts anchored off shore. High recommend, good English, was easy to book and good knowledge and communication during tour. Thank you.
My partner and I had the absolute BEST time on the Jet Skis with the Cap Ferrat Watersports team - Our Jet Ski instructor Jordan was amazing, he was fun, attentive, informative and a good laugh, he made the already insane experience even better, and with his hour long tour along the beautiful coast of Beaulieu-sur-Mer, Monaco, Eze and even a glimse of Italy created a life long memory for us that was worth every penny. Could not recommend enough, and we will be back for sure!
I definitely recommend this place.❤️❤️❤️ I wanted to learn wakeboard but I was sure I would never actually learn. Luca (the instructor) promised me I will. 🤗🤗🤗Guys at the second lesson I stand-up, at the third I stray actually to go.🥳🥳🥳🤩🤩🤩 Luca is the best instructor ever. Also all the ta is very nice, smiling and helpful.😃😃😃 If you want to have fun and learn or enjoy some wakeboard, ask for Luca at the cap ferrat watersport. He is the best. Thank you Luca for teaching me the impossible 🙏🙏🙏
Did paddle boarding there using French Riviera pass. The guy simply was welcoming, gave some instructions. Good place to spend some time in water, you could opt for kayaking as well.
Very nice location with some nice toys (paddle boards, jetskis…) and some nice options (such as being towed by a powerboat on a 3 seater buoy) but the staff does not realize they exist thanks to customers. They are terrible, especially the boat captain, super rude and too cool for you.
Had an amazing wakeboard and foilboard session. Great equipment and instructor!

📣Get trained here and explore the (under) world! 🤿🐟🌊 From rookies to certified Scuba Divers! My wife and I had a tremendous and unforgettable time with Olivier, Clemènt, Jan and Morgane! A total of 5 wonderful dives in the lively Mediterranean Sea. We saw an octopus, four barracudas, star fish, many murrays and more! The team is patient, positive, methodical and extremely professional! The equipment is new and reliable! The training and experience gives us the utmost confidence to explore in other parts of the world, but of course also to come back! Thank you team Cap Ferrat Diving Inna & Tony
It was my very first snorkeling experience and it was very good. The spot they took us to was very nice where you could see a lot of fishes, star fish and octopus. The people were very friendly, the equipment they provided was very nice and clean. The trip to the spot was half an hour and the total trip back and including snorkeling about 3 hours. We were also provided with snacks and drinks after our snorkeling making this all around a great experience . Would definitely recommend.
We had a great family snorkeling trip with Olivier as our guide. This was my sons favorite part of our trip to france - we saw urchins star fish and his favorite the octopus which squirted ink! I would absolutely recomend
My two sons had a fantastic first time diving experience. The instructors and all of the staff were fantastic and made them at ease. Definitely recommend them. We had the best afternoon.
Amazing crew, great dive spot! Kept it loose and professional, made for a very comfortable experience!
Would absolutely recommend! Wonderful experience with Olivier and Yann.
Fun, relaxing time out in the water. Oliver was a wonderful guide, took us to see so many fish, sea stars and urchins. Also one eel!
Had such a great time snorkeling! The guides were very organized and helpful! They provided all the equipment in the right sizes, and before we got to the diving spot they told us about the types of fish we might see and some of their characteristics. We ended up seeing most of them, and some in the group saw an octopus! Wish we had more time in the area to come back for more dives!

An amazing experience with murals by Cocteau and wonderful stories by Eric the manager.
we walked another hour to see cocteau's art and apparently it's been closed for several years to the public. was bought by a private owner and is no longer open to the public according to next door neighbor. then why not take this information offline? owner responds that is "under repair". for how many years now? because you tried to take cocteau's artwork off the walls and ship it illegally to Russia. As the neighbors informed all of us.
Wonderfullly, inspiring home. Our guide, Eric was extremely informative and took the time to translate in English too. Many thanks, thoroughly enjoyed!
not available from public now! dont waste time to com

Fantastic hike that only takes an hour or so if you start from town. This smaller peninsula of St Jean Cap Ferrat is very picturesque because you see the cliffs rising up from across the bay. Follow the road to Paloma beach - go down to the beach - and you'll see the path at the end of it. The hike is a loop that ends at Plage Des Fosses. You can either cross over back to town (the short 1 hour hike) or keep going around the pennisula for another 1 - 1.5 hours. Unforgettable trail that I highly recommend!
Enjoy a lovely coastal path around Pointe de Saint-Hospice. It takes around 45 minutes for a leisurely stroll from Saint Jean Cap-Ferrat port. Route is paved most of the way with amazing views and craggy cliffs. You can make a slight detour around mid-point to visit Chapelle Saint-Hospice. Interesting little church with an impressive statue and stained glass window although couldn’t find any info on Saint Hospice - see photos.
It's a view for life to remamber.. If you'll be around you must visit this spot

Great experience! We booked a 2,5 hour afternoon boat trip. Loved it including the dog. We had 3 places to swim, saw buildings from the sea where you normally see them from the road. Definitely we will book again. Thanks Cap’tain Ferrat!
We had the very best afternoon with Morgane travelling by boat from Monaco to Nice. The boat is clean and lovely and comfortable. We had two swims and afternoon tea! Morgane is generous with stories and facts and sharing and we really enjoyed our time with her. It was a super special experience for my sister and I to have with our dad. Excellent value and we highly recommend.
Our family of 6 had a great three-hour tour with Captain Morgane. We explored all around the Cap Ferrat peninsula and see the beautiful village of Villefranche-sur-Mer. We also spent some time swimming and floating in a lovely, quiet spot near Charlie Chaplin’s former home. Morgane is very knowledgeable of the local surroundings and was able to share the history with us. She also deftly navigated the waves during a period when the winds were high. We will absolutely book again on our next visit!
My family and I throughly enjoyed our full day trip with Morgane. A total delight from start to finish, a thoroughly enjoyable and informative way to experience the sea and the coast. Highly recommended!
10/10 experience! Captain Morgan was great and it was a perfect way to see the area.
A birthday celebration called for something special and what a wonderful afternoon we had on board. Morgane, our charming and knowledgeable host was fantastic. She took us to a calm bay over a choppy sea the day we were there. A most enjoyable afternoon with Morgane at the helm. Would heartily recommend this to any visitors to Saint Jean Cap Ferrat.
Cap Ferrat is one of the most beautiful and exclusive places in the world. If you really want to see the gorgeous villas and super yachts in the bays, be sure to get out on the water. If you forgot to pack your yacht, no worries, you can spend a couple of hours with Morgane, our lovely host. She's a fun and warm guide who will tell you all about the area ... or take you diving if that's your thing. We thoroughly enjoyed an afternoon on the water. Highly recommend it!
A fabulous way to see the area! Morgan was fantastic and very knowledgeable! Part of our party needed extra attention, Morgan and her team made sure they were accommodated and felt safe. Highly recommend!
