Great beach clean and safe
Only x2 & free (at the moment )public toilets! Which are located in parking lots about 500m off the beach and poorly signed - including signs facing down the wrong walk path. A big beach with a huge capacity and nothing for real public toilets to be found. What's worse a couple of glorified outhouses that self flush and are dirty and poorly maintained with no hand wash or paper. Disgusting when you think how many people normally flock here. Cafeterias are not a public service. Why it took us so long to bother coming here - little to no repairs or infrastructure upgrades that are useful or actually beneficial to public health. Today (this review date) as the weather changes (winds, drizzle, sun, winds drizzle, sun repeat) has scared away most of the normal local crowd and covid did the rest to tourism. We are here at a friends invite to meet them so the kids can play. Free Parking currently available (as the transit in the South sucks especially for family groups or if you live or are staying somewhere in the South as it only runs North South along main highway really). Tranist is expensive for any family to travel on regularly and the free parking at the moment (normally about €2 / hr) is a bonus. Free parking in most spots as covid has killed tourism so spaces available. Local friends had chosen this spot out of a nostalgia for days past. Days past due is about the best way to describe here. Aging infrastructure mixed with spot fixes and at least new foot washers and showers. Is it so difficult to install and manage good public toilets? There were x2 toilets for about 3km of beach. That should indicate you'll need at least triple the amount of toilets for people. 2 stars given as the area was clean at the time (bits of cigarettes and bottle caps) lifeguards were on patrol, and it wasn't stupid crowded as it normally is. Granted a clean beach should be easy as barely anyone was at the beach. As for the poor to no toilets, poor state of infrastructure of most signs, paint, walkways etc there is no excuse. Millions in dollars and thousands of people a day used to flow into these spaces. The toilets issues is a gigantic public health issue on these islands and not just here at this beach but every public park, space, natural area and public beach or hidden beach. Building toilets and keeping them in repair and clean needs to be addressed. Maspalomas as a whole is a giant toilet of a beaches pretending to be "natural" with the natural being poop in the water. With no proper infrastructure for the amount of beach and normal traffic its a sad joke. These beaches rarely ever remove the pay as you go beach chairs either and these pay as you go also dont come with a toilet. Lucky for this north streach of the long San Augustin / Maspalomas beaches streach the poo water current normally flows south towards Maspalomas beach so at least the water is a little cleaner. Granted the island governments never post water quality test results anywhere easy to find. For every good small repair or small addition of a an outdoor foot washer or shower they didnt add a single toilet or focus on fixing the real public health issues pre or post covid. No excuse for this except greed - what did they do with all the money that used to flow from tourism? Toilets with staff that clean, monitor and repair them such as on Playa Las Canteras in Las Palmas City to the North is possible and should have been done long ago. Here and are needed on each beach including lifeguards. Not a difficult task as peolle screaming for jobs and the governement is supposed to be investing in public health and the future. Could easily combine the existing broken infrastructure of lifeguard and medical to include toilets & disability access. Could even grab portable tempotlos if woied about the environment and make it a decontamination exercise and sell off of old gear for new tech or just tryout new tech. Wah la quality of life up, jobs up, training up, and rating stars up. Do better government and demand better people.
Nice sheltered beach and wide expanse of sand to find a space. Quieter than Playa de Ingles and Maspalomas. Nice boardwalk above the beach to stroll along.
Nice quiet beach. A bit windy the day we visited, but the waves were nice.
Lovely walk by the sea, great beaches a really nice place to visit.
This was a lovely sheltered beach unlike the ones further along the coast. Worth a walk to. Sunbeds also only 9 euros for 2 with parasol.
Nice beach with black fine sand. Its a great place to stay, not crowded at all.
Beautiful beach great for swimming

Clean beach with place for everyone. We found vacant comfortable sunchairs. 3,50 for one. Possible to rent water Jets and pedal boats. The small simple taverna is worth standing in line for. Perfect fresh dorada for two, 20€. Tide was low, and water shallow for many meters. Maybe 19+, quite chilly in late desember. Reccomend this playa, and the East asian woman who do massages. She walks around, a little afraid of Police though. She said massage in Playa del Ingles is more expencive, on the beach!
We found this beach had a nice feel to it, and the kids decided this was where we were going to build sandcastles! The area is much shorter in length than some of the neighbouring beaches, but much deeper / wider. We walked up the adjoining coastal path a little to view the crabs climbing over the rocks!
Love to visit the beach during the day on weekdays as it's not over crowded like weekends. Dark golden sandy beach and so smooth to walk. The area itself isn't big but there are beaches along the coast. The long promenade leads you way to the dunes. There would be some staff cleaning the beach which is nice but people shall be aware of litters and shall behave properly as grow up adults. Avoid weekends is only my recommendation, too over crowded and wouldn't be able to find spot for yourself.
Nice beach and less crowded than Playa de Ingles and Maspalomas. Boardwalk stretches right along this section so easy to walk to from other sections of the coast along here.
Black and hot sand, tepid and calm water. Normal to see women with topless so if that's an issue for you be aware.
Nice beach with sun-beds, very large and pretty long but is not supervised (no lifeguards, at least during the time I was there). There is also a small kiosk nearby which is selling snacks and ice cream.
A very central beach that is not too crowded. The beach is clean and the water is very clear. Especially the large waves make it so fun to go for a dip. Also there aren’t many chairs/sun beds so perfect if you prefer to lay on the ground.
A little less crowded - Impossible to avoid heaving crowds in the area in July, but this sizable beach was half as busy as any we've encountered so far and arriving early by car from Mogan we had a nice spot near the rocks. The water is churned up into a dusky beige but it's shallow and perfect for a modest dip. We found no toilets save up above - Behind the Spar and our car park (about 5 EUR for 3 hrs). Strange to watch the streams of Dunks hotel guests doing their constitutional walk across the beach and back. Lots of Spanish on beach which can't be bad.

Expert guides tell the story of Jameson in a recreated distillery scene with tastings and dining.
Slide 1 of 8
It was incredible experience. Our tour guide was amazing. First you get free welcome drink - you have 3 options from Jameson (Jameson with lime and ginger is amazing). Then you go to first room, it’s about history of Jameson. Second room is about how to make Jameson and on third you learn about differences, how to smell and taste different Jamesons. With this guide, it was really amazing and I could stay longer than 45 minutes.
My wife and I took this tour on a Monday morning a few hours before our flight home and had a wonderful time. Our tour guide was very animated and obviously loved his job! Great tour through history all the way to current time. Definitely recommend this tour for any whiskey aficionados or anyone with just a taste for Jameson.
I paid about $26 for the Jameson Distillery tour and it was worth every penny. They start with a really cool 3D projector story about the history and how Jameson is made, then you move into a tasting room where you try four different Jamesons and learn how to properly smell and taste whiskey. It truly feels like a world-class experience. The premium ones were noticeably smoother (whiskey by itself definitely grows hair on your chest 😂), but it was fun, informative, and delicious. After the tasting, you get a drink included — they already have a bar set up with several cocktail options, and if you want another drink afterward you can buy more. The tour guide was incredible — funny, knowledgeable, and made it feel like he actually believed every part of the history. It was so good I found myself thinking, “Do y’all hire? I could work here too.” The staff overall was extremely friendly and helpful. They’ll even hold your bags if you’re coming straight from the airport like I was. There’s merchandise at the end if you want to shop, and the whole experience is just a lot of fun from start to finish. I would 100% come back and I’d tell anyone visiting Dublin to add this to their trip.
What an unforgettable experience at the Jameson Distillery! We opted for the Secret Whiskey Package and savored every moment. The tour was a delightful blend of history, craftsmanship, and fun, with fascinating insights into the company’s founder and the art of whiskey making. The highlight? Learning the skills of whiskey tasting, followed by a truly delicious sampling experience. Despite the bustling crowd of fellow travelers, the staff made us feel so special and welcome. We loved every minute and can’t wait to return!
Had a fantastic tasting tour on my second visit to this iconic Irish distillery. The guide’s deep knowledge and entertaining presentation made the experience memorable. It’s no wonder Jameson remains one of the world’s top selling whiskeys. Highly recommended!
Exactly everything you'd expect from a distillery tour. Great tour guide, samples of the whisky, and the best ambiance. All the employees were stellar and very nice to chat with. You can also purchase exclusive bottles you can't get anywhere else in the world.
The tour is small but mighty. They managed to fit so much together that it ended up being my favorite part of Dublin. The presentation of the distilleries History as well as its accomplishments. The staff were friendly and the atmosphere was a perfect way to end our day. The John Jamison philosophy of everyone’s family has made this an absolute favorite for life.
We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Jamison Distillery. I went with my husband and my daughter. It was very informative and quite interesting. There were several experiences during the tour. We tasted whiskeys that we hadn't tried before. Our new favorite one is Black Barrel. We've bought a bottle now that we're back home and have shared it with a neighbor. He is now a fan! I recommend going on this tour. It's fun, educational, and it even has a cute little shop inside.

Love this shopping centre as it’s located in my favourite place in the Gran Canaries. There is plenty of shops and restaurants attached to this shopping centre. We always go to the panorama at the 3rd floor as the food and service is fabulous.
Quiet and peaceful shopping center - probably on the verge of collapse, if it hasn't already received the death sentence, it is just around the corner. This visit was a real let down and negative experience for us, we will never visit this tragic place to say the least again.
I love this shopping centre from the wide array of shops and restaurants with beautiful views of the beach. Always a bargain to be got and the restaurant prices are quiet reasonable with quality food. Two Spars and a hyperdino supermarket and plenty of parking. The best part is the mini golf at the top level across from The Panorama restaurant one of my favourites for tasty food and brilliant staff who couldn’t be more helpful and friendly. Always great for a laugh
We were on holiday in Gran Canaria and found it clean, fun, warm & worth going with your family. Stayed in an Airbnb very convenient
Many shops - variety , different prices for same items. And stamps to uk/USA are €1.75, Check with your hotel - some shops sold us same stamps for €2.50!!!
Three stories of shops with stairs between. Many shops were closed, but it allows the remaining shops to spread out their wares. Mixture of restaurants and gift/clothing shops. It was quite peaceful with few people about. The sellers were a little pushy as expected, but that is their normal way of selling and they were not too insistant if we declined.
The center is very quiet but there are things to do and some good restaraunts. The best crazy golf i have played (18) holes. All I can say is try it.
‘Oldie but goodie’ shopping center with big variety of bars and restaurants, not that much of the shops, but you might find some very original things. Explore! Also ATMs, grocery stores, pharmacy, flower shop!, MINI golf, church, auto/moto/bike rental, bank, little casino with the machines etc. KALIMA bar & tapas opened until 2am - cosy place under the stars to watch sleepy ocean and have a late night tapa and/or a few drinks :) It’s worth to visit as this shopping center is definitely one of the kind! :)

I had a wonderful visit to an aloe vera farm set in a stunning landscape. Guided by Jackie, we learned about the care and cultivation of aloe vera plants and watched a fascinating demonstration of how they are transformed into bio products. Jackie’s knowledge and enthusiasm made the experience truly enjoyable. The shop offered a great selection of high-quality, locally made products, and the serene surroundings made the visit both educational and relaxing. Highly recommend this for anyone who loves nature or is curious about sustainable farming!
Really nice stop over before you arrive at the village of Fataga. You will see a wonderful Aloe Vera plantation, the shop and free demonstration of extracting aloe Vera. You will also be able to try out their tester products. Recommend it!
ThevDutch guy gave informative and fun product presentation to our tour bus. The range of Aloe Vera products are good and most are affordable. The products relying on imported ingredients were too expensive though
On a TUI tour we stopped here and were forced to stand outside in 37 degree heat to watch a pointless demonstration of how Aloe Vera is used in the cosmetics that they just happen to sell. Extensive nonsense about how Aloe can be used as a treatment for breast cancer followed by being shepherded into a shop. Left as soon as we could. Didn’t want to visit in the first place, didn’t want to be sold to. Tourist trap. Avoid.
Nice staff welcome us there. Great demonstration, preparing the aloe vera Nobody made us feel rushed and obligated to buy anything but we did. ALL PRODUCTS had testers so you could try them before buy.
The wonderful world of Aloe Vera. During our visit to the Fataga Canary Aloe Vera Farm we received a short instruction about the wonders that Aloe Vera offers. The explanation was clear to follow and during the explanation you get the opportunity to taste, smell and rub. The way there requires some attention from the driver. The roads are narrow and uphill. But the view is beautiful. Make sure you have a car with air conditioning because it was 15 degrees warmer in that area. (with us 50 degrees) There is of course a shop at the farm. The prices are high for what you are used to, but keep in mind that these products are really made from a high concentration of Aloe Vera and are therefore more expensive to make. Worth a (short) visit
We had a fabulous trip today to Faraga - Finca Canarias Aloe Vera farm and store. A wonderful 5 minute tour and aloe Vera explanation from a very cheerful Miguel ;) Thoroughly recommend. The drive to the plantation is worth the drive and breath taking desert scenery. Muchias Gracias!! 😊
Lovely aloe vera plantation, they told us about the plant, showed us how to cut it and let us touch it. They also told us about the products they sold and let us try them out!

T-bone was meadium, good performance in kitchen, seviche was to watery and too much chilies. Should be done with more mango to balance sourness. Service took too much time...about 1h for food.
I don’t recommend it. The place is extremely crowded, and this comes at the expense of the food quality. At least 40-60minutes waiting time. We tried three dishes: as a starter, we had a seafood salad, of which 90% was iceberg lettuce and tomato, with barely any seafood in it. The seafood pasta was overcooked, the pasta almost fell apart. The grilled squid was very dry and tasteless. The only positive thing was the atmosphere of the place. Overall, this place was a disappointment for us.
We were looking for dinner outside our all-inclusive deal so we wandered through town. After just a few minutes they got us a table inside, which was good because outside it was a bit windy and the place very crowded which is a good sign. We got the share platter with local meat and cheese. The wine we’ve chosen was sold out but they came up with a nice alternative. As main course we ordered the salmon and tuna steak. The food was good, hot and tasty. Service is very busy but yet attentive and welcoming. Although we had no reservation we accepted to wait, which was just a few minutes. Other people just streamed through the entry and set themselves which we consider rude so the staff was overwhelmed with welcoming them accurately, if you read reviwes about them complaining it is probably due to their own behavior. Overall a nice experience and we’d be happy to come back to taste the pizza outside with the view (on reservation of course)..
Nice and quiet place, we have booked by groupon for dinner: one bottle of good red wine, one delicious garlick bread with cheese, one pizza and a very tasty marinated meat with fried potatoes. At least two desserts. I suggest especially the meat, which was a good surprise!
Had two brilliant meals here Christmas eve and Christmas day , the staff are brilliant food is wonderful Both times sat in a little corner surrounded with plants feeling like we were in a garden Luigi and the other gentleman (possibly owner or manager ) were very attentive on our service If I go back to gran canaria this resturant will be a certain stop off
Delicious meal and attentive staff. Our first visit but were treated like old friends by the staff, so welcoming! Amazing value for money and quality produce. So much so that we will be returning tomorrow but this time for the steaks which looked fantastic.
We got here "early" around 7.30pm. The place was fairly quiet so we were able to get a table closest to the sea view (ignore the apartments) We were not rushed for our order which was nice. We chose a bottle of Rioja €13, they don't serve large bottles of water so we had to take 2 500ml ones €1.85 each. We shared a Greek salad €8.90 and garlic bread €1.90, both opting for the BBQ combo (¼ chicken, 3 wings, 1 sausage, ¼ ribs, skinny fries and coleslaw) €15.90. The salad was plenty for us to share, the garlic bread was nice but would be better if sliced thinner. The combo was tasty and very filling. The service was good for the most part, the wine waiter was a bit lack lustre. I'm not sure where the music comes from but we heard more than 4 songs played twice within the 1st hour. It's a place to visit if you're in the area but not to travel for if there is a grill nearer.
We went here straight after the restaurant opened, the place was really nicely decoraded and overlooked the ocean. We are allowed to choose where we would like to sit and got the menu straight away. We ordered a starter and a main since we never managed to eat two whole mains. Some people don't like that cause they think you're being cheap but they were absolutely happy with our choice and brought out both together. The pizza was fantastic, my girlfriend is still talking about the dough. The tapas plate wasn't exactly what we like, but to be fair, it had everything on it, which was said on the menu, so our bad choice of ordering. The only downpoint where the works being done outside the restaurant which caused some noise and the second waiter which we asked for two espressos which never arrived. The price was absolutly finde and the amount of food we received even though we didn't like some of it was great. We would definitly recommend this place.

Halfway through the parking lot, turn right into the walled-in Barranco, this is how you get through Sioux City. Getting out again shortly before the rear exit, we continue on a bridle path. As a result, two bridges are crossed, after which you have to trust your instincts to continue hiking into the Barranco. There are a few markers or cairns, but they stop at some point. Eventually you get to a point where you can only go back. (Original) Wandertour in den Barranco del Tariscal del Aguila ab Bushaltestelle Playa del Aguila.
