Very beautiful beach, with gorgeous sand and cristal clear water. I love the type of sunbeds they have, extremely comfortable and the small garbage/ashtray bins attached to the umbrellas are making a big difference.
Nice azure water, beach quite clean, just tge public part we went in (stopping here just for 3 hours) was not having any shower or change room. 2 bars selling drinks and food nearby. Beach entry suitable for kids, small waves during the day. Photo was edited to remove me and my kid.
The beach itself is really beautiful, with clear waters that are warm in some places and colder in others. There are rocks that we really enjoyed diving from. Luckily, the day we were there, there was no wind and the water was not too dirty. As for parking, you can leave your car for free about a 10-15 minute walk from the beach or there are paid parking lots. The main problem, however, is the management of the space: practically 90% of the beach is taken up by private beaches, leaving only a small 10% of the beach free. Imagine how many people crowded into this small space, with umbrellas stacked on top of each other and people carrying speakers, making a huge racket. We also noticed illegal beach clubs, literally setting up umbrellas and occupying the free beach without any rights. It is really annoying and chaotic. Many people arrived, saw the situation and immediately left. It is a shame, because by law the space occupied by beach clubs should not be that big. If you do not want to pay for an umbrella and a sunbed and hope to relax in peace, it is not the ideal beach. Keep in mind that we were there in early July, so not in peak season either.
I was there Oct 17, 2025 and it was 24 C sunny. The water was not calm on this day and waves were coming in 2 feet (just less than 1 metre) high. Not ideal for kids/babies. Beautiful beach with real sand! Decent amount of surfers there as well. There was tons of garage can, a shower and amenities. I had a great time there with my wife and no issues.
My wife and I almost didn't go here because of the misleading reviews. I believe that locals intentionally review this place as dirty to keep the tourists away. It was clean. Water was pristine. This has been our favourite beach in Sicily so far. Ignorantly bad reviews and Prego!
There are parts where the water is clear but not all of it, also there is only a small part free for use, most of it are private bar/hotel beaches. I think a saw beach near this one, better hidden and i eould reccomend you to look for it
Fontane Bianche is a great and definitely worth visiting. We parked for free in one of the parkings, but unsure if it was indeed free or free due to low season as it was end of may. The only downside is that a great por of the beach is taken by Lidos, meaning a lot of paid areas, but a short walk can take you to a good spot at the sand. The water is crystal clear, and nature around is beautiful.
A very nice beach with a very clear water and fine white sand. There are some good parkings too and some bars and restaurants.

One of the best beaches I have ever been to. Clean water and sand at nice temperatures. The sun beds and umbrellas are a bit closer together than the last time I've been there but it's still nice. The restaurant also has gluten free options like pizza. It's a frozen pizza base but still very nice. The tomato sauce is very sweet
Quite well organized beach, plenty of parking and reasonably priced ( 20€ for an umbrella and two sunbeds in may). Indeed it is advisable to head towards the south part of the beach as there were quite a few algae in the northern/central part. Quote good frappuccino as well🙂
We have been coming to Lido Sayonara in Fontane Bianche every single summer since 2002, and after more than two decades, I can say with absolute certainty: there is simply no place like it in Sicily for us. From the very first time we set foot on its golden sands, we were hooked. The water is so crystal-clear and clean, the beach is immaculately maintained and welcoming. The staff? Unbelievable. Many of them have become like family to us over the years. Their warm smiles, impeccable service, and genuine hospitality are the kind you cannot find anywhere else. The food alone deserves a standing ovation and somehow, every summer, it feels even better than the last. Now, a little reality check: Lido Sayonara is not the cheapest option in the area. But considering the quality of the service, the cleanliness of the beach, the comfort of the facilities, and the overall atmosphere, the prices are absolutely worth every euro. In fact, compared to what you pay at other nearby lidos for far less comfort, here you’re actually getting great value for money. What amazes us most is the consistency. For 23 years, this place has delivered the same magic without fail. It’s not just a lido; it’s our family tradition, our sanctuary, our personal paradise. We’ve celebrated birthdays, anniversaries, and countless summers here, and we cannot imagine a year without it. To us, it is not just the best beach in Sicily – it is the best beach in the world. See you next year, as always.
Well organised beach with plenty of sun beds and parking spots. There is also a cafeteria, small restaurant, changing rooms and toilets. The beach was open- beginning of May.
We were probably the only tourists here. Very local vibe. Great beach. The only down side was there wasn’t much in the way of food at the time we were hungry. That’s the only reason I only gave it 4 stars.
This lido was really organised and set up well. I think the 30 EUR was well priced for the facilities. It was really clean and spacious, not too cramped. Staff were friendly. We arrived on a Friday in June around 10.30am, it was super easy to park for the day in the big car park attached. We easily got space at the Lido despite the beach feeling busy. A shame the front row was reserved by people who never turned up, but a very minor problem. Food was well priced and good. Bathrooms clean. The beach it self was stunning. Some seaweed in the sea, but it’s natural. Would recommend this lido to all.
There's a terrace with food (until 15:30), we ordered pizza which was good 10€, the umbrella and two sunbeds 25€ The beach was OK, a little small patch of sand but there's a nice terrace on which you can stay, there are free showers wivh is a plus. There's a big parking lot nearby 5€/day. Can't say much about the water as there were big waves and it was not that clear, overall we enjoyed our stay here.
Lido Sayonara is one of the beach bars in Fontane Bianche. Prices for beach bars are similar (depending on season 25-50€ for an umbrella with sunbeds). To be fair, all beach bars in Fontane Bianche are - as the entire village - mediocre. Food is okay, but overpriced - not the Italian quality you expect. The beach is nice, but definitely not a must see. You will find similar beaches, better quality and friendlier people in other parts of the Ionian Sea.

Probably the nicest beach we have ever been. Clean facilities and tasty food. Clear blue waters and very fine sand. Proper umbrellas and sun beds definitely worth the price. You must try the coffee, the Aperol spritz and the Arancini. Everything else tastes as good as it looks.
In this part of Sicily, this must be one of the longest sandy beaches. Visited it in mid March. Much of the beach was covered in dried, black seaweed. Coming from Australia it was a bit disappointing but still lovely to see the waves rolling in and walk from one to the other. Oddly, as we were walking back to where we had parked, we — and everyone else on the beach — had to deal with three young men on loud motorcycles revving along the sand.
Very beautiful sea, cristal clear, lovely colour...a bit expensive sunbeds- 50€ per 4 person, but you have free beaches near by...
The beach view is way nicer than some of the other water views in the area. Clear , less to nothing seaweed, nice sandy beach. Overall a busier beach and we are here during off season. This lido is surrounded by beach clubs. Beach front itself is only about 3 rows of beach chairs so you will be very close to water with great access. Washrooms, rinse shower and change rooms all behind the beach chairs. Expect people walking through every opening between beach chairs to access to these. Not just people paying for the lido but public. (Just an observation if your a person who prefers more personal space and your own hut). Washrooms are in good shape, good light and spacious. Beach umbrellas will provide enough shade for two, if more then two people recommend getting more. Paid 50 euro for two sets of chairs + umbrella ( 4 chairs, 2 umbrella)
The sandy beach and clear water are lovely, but the sunbeds are too close to each other. The price for two sunbeds and an umbrella is €30. There are clean toilets and changing rooms available. Additionally, there's a parking area nearby for €5 per day. I’ve given it 3 stars due to the high price and the crowded arrangement of the sunbeds.
Nice sandy beach shell water for two sunbeds and umbrella 25 euro some parking around 5 euro per day some part of beach free access If you look overall nice sandy beach
The sea and access to the see is fantastic. Very calm. Unfortunately a lot of plage were private. You have to pay for umbrella and 2 loungers-25€/day. Private plage also of the resort. What we didnt like was rumour -from 10 a.m. To 6 p.m. The animator program of the resort Nicolaus, music very loudly, the whole day… gradual access to the sea is optimal for children. You can borrow also paddleboards, paddle boats, canoe -25€/1hour. We were in Nicolausresort, we dont recommend anymore, 4 stars bur in reality we would give 2.5 stars, low quality servise.
Terrible- don't ever come here! The sea is full of algi and the owner of the lido is like Italian mafia, he is completely rude and offensive. Although there were hundreds of empty sunbeds he didn't let us sit where we wanted and insisted that we first pay 20 euros and then see the actual spot. He put us in an ugly place at the beach which was full of algi - we only stayed because this was our last day in Sicily and we only had 2 hours for a last swim. He does not deserve any customers , do yourself a favor and pick another place.

Stopped in for a late lunch. Mussels, fried anchovies, and spinach calzones. All were great, as was the location! Right on the beach with fantastic views of the Ionian Sea. Service was excellent as well.
Tourist trap ! Guys, don’t go. The menu is all in Italian . So the waiter was nice to come over to explain everything . My husband and I both hear the fish was 14 euro, but the bill for that little fish is 40 euro. (I know it’s by the beach, but still not worthy it at all) And the waiter is like super rude, and said go check out by yourself.
RIP OFF! Big RIP OFF! Do yourself the favour and dont go here! Overpriced and 0 quality. I would be ashamed to even offer this food. We ordered a “Hamburger and Spaghetti with clapms and had to laugh when food arrived. Food that is served after 2 min is of course not freshly prepared. Look at the pictures and judge yourself. The so called burger was just a frozen petty with fries for 20,-€ and the spaghetti were overcooked with frozen tiny clamps for 20,-€. All in all waiter was unfriendly and extremely pushy!!! We will definitely not come back nor recommend to come here. In the toilet was no toilet paper. Its a pity as the place looks nice but totally needs a new management
Beware this is a tourist trap! The charming waiter tells you that he is the menu card. However, he only gives the drinks and dishes and no prices. Because in Sicily food and drinks are not expensive, that is not very interesting ... until you go to pay here and everything appears to be 3 times more expensive than in the rest of Sicily! Nice place, food and drinks are fine but the bill for tourists goes times 3!
Avoid at all costs. This was hands down one of the worst dining experiences in Sicily so far. As soon as we walked in, the place was completely empty—which should have been the first red flag. Instead of giving us menus, the server just listed three random dishes with no prices. We reluctantly ordered, only to be served stale, old bread and seafood that tasted (and later felt) like it had been sitting out for days. Within hours, both of us felt sick to our stomachs. As if that wasn’t enough, when the bill came, it was outrageously overpriced with hidden fees tacked on. This place is a classic tourist trap—low effort, low quality.
No menu so you can't know the price beforehand. They charge you 5 euros for a small beer that you can get anywhere else for just 3.50. plus "coperto' for literally no service. Don't go! The view is nice, but there's plenty of better places.
If I could rate this place -1 star I would. The one and only thing that convinced us to eat here was the fact that it was on the beach. Apart from this, the service was SHOCKING. The prices are absolutely embarrassing if you think about the fact that we are in Sicily and the seafood is very accessible. On top of that, we ordered some mussels that were Clearly off. They smelled and looked bad. Do yourself a favour and AVOID THIS RIP OFF.
Very unpleasant service. We felt like we were bothering them, not like clients. Some customers who arrived later than us were served before (just because we were foreigners but they were locals). Also food is way over priced for the quality.

(Translated by Google) Very nice place to spend an evening at the white fountains with cocktails and beer. The staff is young and kind. The only flaw: on muggy evenings you suffer a lot from the heat, being "far" from the sea. (Original) Locale molto carino dove passare una serata a fontane bianche tra cocktail e birra. Il personale è giovane e gentile. Unica pecca: nelle serate afose si soffre parecchio il caldo, stando "lontani" dal mare.
