Very professional team which do also have people who can explain things to you in English. The tour was well guided with nice explanations regarding the environment.
Our kayak guides were awesome! They told us about the natural ecology surrounding Cabo de Gata and my group collectively learned a lot. Cool dudes and a fun excursion for sure. 🐊 🐊
Luis (the good looking according to my daughter) and Manolo (the one with the dodgy haircut) looked after us and the group as a whole really well. They were friendly, experienced and great guides to the area explaining interesting facts along the route. Plenty of rest stops and photo opportunities. Easy going and educational, three hours well spent.
I recently went on a kayaking in Cabo de Gata with @kayaksurcabodegata and it was an incredible experience! The tour took us along a beautiful stretch of coastline with crystal-clear waters and stunning cliffs. The guides were knowledgeable, friendly, and made sure everyone felt safe and comfortable throughout the journey. We had the opportunity to explore caves, and even stop for a swim in secluded spot . The scenery was breathtaking, and the peacefulness of being out on the water was truly refreshing. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced kayaker, this tour offers something for everyone. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to experience the natural beauty of Spain from a unique perspective!
Excellent all round. Really friendly. Would highly recommend the tour.
Rafa was so kind :) And the views were beautiful.
So fun! Was very kind and helped us throughout the tour. Was attentive and prepared.
Great tour with so much fun and great guides! Really enjoyed

Lighthouses
Clifftop lighthouse built in 1863, with views of the Arrecife de las Sirenas jagged rock formations.
Slide 1 of 8
A very nice point with cool rocky formations in the sea! Moreover there's a wonderful beach underneath the lighthouse were the sea is very calm and full of fish (you can do some snorkeling in front of the beach and see about 20-30 different fish species, some of them getting as big as 40cm!). If you need the snorkeling gear you can rent it by the lighthouse for 10€ a day.
Beautiful, pristine beaches far from crowded vacation spots. No sand, but smooth pebbles—which I personally love (just don’t forget your flip-flops!). All set within a stunning national park.
amazing view, and a very beautiful place to see!
Cabo de gata is gorgeous. Rocky coastline with nice views
Beautiful views. Well worth the detour from the main route.
A lovely scenic drive down the coast from Almeria. You cannot access the lighthouse but you can get close and see the beautiful views across the sea. Take some time and visit this lovely corner of Almeria.
Fantastic place to go, the scenery is amazing, well worth the visit
Wonderful place and scenic drive towards it. Windy sometimes, cristal clear water and just a small part of a really unique nationalpark. If you want to find out more about the region make sure to visit us at our webpage /// travel - spain. org

Beautiful beach! Only down side is that it’s not that accessible with public transport. You could take the bus to San José and walk to the beach (35 min) 🏖️
It is indeed a beautiful beach, big waves and awesome, but there's plenty of people with dogs. And these dogs likely to leave surprises - just look where you step.
Nice beach, very very long ao there's always enough place near the water. There were a lot of waves so we couldn't really understand how nice the sea is. There was a lot of current though, the waves were arriving from multiple directions and there was a yellow flag so...we couldn't really enjoy the water. Moreover the parking place cost 6€, without even having seen the sea. We had to park by the restaurant, which means you have to walk about 10-15 minutes. In my opinion a cute beach, but nothing special, we saw far better beaches around there.
Beautiful, undeveloped beach. Because of bay and direction, water tends to be very still here (even if wavey nearby). Water quite shallow for a fair way out. In October, very quiet. Good short hikes with great views to the SW end. Further South-west end (beyond rock) for nude bathing.
To enter the reserve it was €6. The road is gravel and dry, but is sprayed by a tractor that turns it into a slightly muddy track. Our hire car was covered in thick mud. That should not spoil it. Just a heads up. This beach is beautiful but can get windy, unfortunately from the direction of the land. Our beach towels were covered with sand in no time. Drinks and food were covered. I'm sure it isn't always like this. But we had to abandon our stay.
GoPro found here today! Please contact me if it’s yours. Lovely beach by the way, absolutely beautiful.
We headed to the beach from San José, just over a mile from the town, lovely beach with hills on both sides. We walked further west and climbed a small hill overlooking the beach. Heat views of beach and the mountains to the north. Very green and lush. Amazing amount of wild flower species, all beautiful. Walked further west and past some other lively beaches. Has our lunch on one, some of the rock formations were spectacular. Great area will return and recommend.
A nice and very long beach in walking distance from San José (there are paths from the old windmill, it takes about 20 mins) but reachable by car as well, or public transport in the summer season. During the high season there is a fee per car entering the road. The entrance to the sea is very shallow for about 15 to 20m from the shore. Very nice, fine and soft sand. One of very few beaches that I've seen between Cabo de Gata and San José that have vegetation around - eucalyptus grove, agaves and other plants.

An absolutely fantastic experience the horses were amazing and very well cared for. The father and son team were very friendly and informative. In a nutshell absolutely worth the money. It doesn't matter if your an experienced rider or a complete novice the whole family can have an unforgettable time together. Our day out will be something that we will cherish and remember for ever. Thankyou soooo much for making our day so special
It was a nice activity to do, beautiful scenery, but we should stop and swim in a cove instead of in the middle of nowhere…Quite physical, not so easy…But it’s a good experience overall. Cabo de Gata is beautiful. We stayed and did some snorkeling afterward and watched the sunset. Very special! 😍🤩
One of the best activity in my life! All guide was professional and so sympathetic! We make route in Cabo de Gata, and that was great chose! All route was like 3 hour, with few break for snorkeling, and storyteling about history, and natural park. Its not first time when we spend holiday whit that company, and im sure that its not last time :) Perfect for all! Couple, famili, young, old, women or man, no matter! You will spend your time in Toyo Aventura whit plesure!
Verry fun activity to do. Good guides/host with good expierience.
Nice guys, very profesional
We had a wonderful time! Highly recommended experience to see Cabo de Gata and enjoy a morning on the water.
The riding route was gorgeous and a lot of fun, and our guide Fran was very kind.

Super friendly guide, most magnificent underwater world, Teresa told us lots of interesting facts. An experience we will treasure for a long time, thanks to the beautiful pictures we received afterwards!!!
I took my partner on a guided snorkel trip in August 2024. A location was selected the day before based on forecast sea conditions. The team kept us updated in detail over WhatsApp and answered our questions quickly. Our guide on the day was fantastic. He was knowledgeable and a great teacher as well (it was my partner's first time snorkelling). We had an excellent time, saw beautiful habitats and wildlife, and learned a lot of facts about them. All equipment was included, and they had all sizes available on location to choose from. Our guide took lots of photos and videos during the trip and we look forward to seeing some of these soon (I believe it takes up to 2 weeks, by email). Would highly recommend!
Amazing experience - our guide took excellent care of our family (we had him to ourselves :)) making sure we were all confident and enjoying ourselves and sharing his great knowledge, the equipment was very very good quality. Highly recommended for everyone
What an amazing experience! Can recommend ecoagata enough..we had such a great time, definitely one of the best part of this holiday. Our guide Jose Manuel was not only very experienced and professional but really nice and funny! And we got fabulous pictures 😃 Great value for money!
WOW! This was incredible. I went scuba diving the day before and didn't see HALF of the things I saw with Alberto! This was an incredible, unforgettable experience!
Amazing guide. Really helpful and supportive of my young daughter. High quality gear. Beautiful cove with lots of wildlife. Highly recommended 👍
It is a bit crowded. Easy to access and park.

Tranquil beach flanked by volcanic rocks & known as a popular movie location, plus snorkeling.
Slide 1 of 8
One of the best beaches around Almeria. Not too crowded, compared to other beaches. You need to pay £6 for parking
Highly overrated. For any beach between Playa de los Genoveses and Cala Carbon there was a 6eur/ car fee to enter. We arrived at 2 pm, waited 1 hour in line. The beach was windy, the sand was extremely sticky and got everywhere. There were no showers or freshwater fountains. The positive part is that the places are limited so it would not get overcrowded, the water was clear, which allowed some snorkeling l, but there weren't that many things to see.
Stunning beach - no doubt. Be cautious when conditions aren’t right. The waves and currents might be strong here. We didn’t dare to go for a swim and went to Playa de los Genoveses instead.
Beautiful beach, clear water, not too crowded. No facilities. The flocks of birds are annoying, but can be scared off if you run at them wielding an umbrella. That could be a hazard for low flying aircraft, though...so try to have some situational awareness.
Beautiful beach with volcanic rocks right on the beach. About 2 km further from Playa de los Genoveses. More windy than that beach. Beach slowly turning deeper, so ideal for small children. Parking is a bit after seeing the beach, so not along the road just before the beach, as many do (illegal). Like the whole region Cabo de Gata, about 1 hour before sunset many aggressive mosquitos appear, so better to leave earlier.
Very nice beach with dark sand. The water is very clear. Really good place to do some snorkeling, you can spot many fish. On the left side there is a big sand dune. If you climb on top of it, you will see few other beaches and very nice views in general. To enter the beach, you will need to pay 5eur (only during the High season). There is a big parking space, walk to the beach is maximum 5 min.
Great little secluded beach. You have to be careful if you go swimming as there can be strong currents and there are no lifeguards. You can walk to the beach or you can take the car to the last parking and walk. If you go by car you need to buy a day permit to enter the area and take the dirt track. Beware that there are no services at the beach so make sure you bring everything you may need, and take everything back with you.
An amazing beach with lovely soft sand. Super quiet when we were there. Only 10 other people there or so. The sea was out so we managed to skirt around the rocks to a smaller beach. Quite windy but we found shelter by the rocks which also doubled as a sun shade.

Lovely hotel managed by incredibly friendly Andalusian man. Located in a tiny town with nothing but beach, doesn't get more peacefull. Large waves breaking right on the shore , great spot for fishing and working on your tan. The only negative side, as we booked last minute we had a small room. Highly recommended for couples and small groups!
I had a social event at this hotel. My cousin is going to get married and he chose this hotel beacuse it is very close to "Cabo de gata"'s natural park. The facilities of the hotel are very good, we didn't miss anything to have fun and an amazing day. We won't forget it because we could go sailing trough "Salinas reef". The only bad thing is that sometimes the service of the hotel was a bit slow, but it was very good.
Probably the best room in the hotel. Terrific sea view from the large terrace. Very large double bed. Everywhere very clean. Pleasant staff and a fantastic breakfast.
Wonderful place. Really amazing accommodation, the owner a real gentleman, the room SUPER clean (and in the Covid time is something really important), safe, really a place to be. 20mt (the road) from the sea. Totally raccomand it!!!
This place was absolutely fantastic. The food was amazing, the views were a bonus, and the staff are all really friendly.. Would give more then 5 stars if I could
A other piece of paradise ✨ Lovely place to spend the night, beautiful room, with a wonderful view, animal friendly. Very friendly staff, a kind owner, always attentive to the needs of the guests💛💛💛💛💛 Thanks for having us 💛
Great breakfast, reasonable priced roomsr with AC and friendly staff. So close from the beach that you can hear the waves while in your room

A stunning place. Make it a day for swimming, exploring and eating.
My friends took me here on my last day in Almeria for a beach day and it was probably the best beach day that I've had abroad. Swimming in the refreshing Mediterranean was just dreamy. Clear waters, pebbly beach and not crowded at all. BYO shade as there are no trees. No public toilets or changing rooms from what I saw. We brought a picnic lunch with lots of water and fruit juice. The park is huge and has many beaches and even a wee township to explore or have food and drinks (will do this next time). Parking is free (on the side of the main road). I think we left at around 8pm. A totally relaxing day at the beach and not far from Almeria at all. I'd totally go back for sure!
This Natural Park is simply breathtaking! Best to explore by foot. The are numerous trails along the coast going up and down from one gorgeous beach to the next secluded cove, up you go giant sand dunes and down to an orchard of "pitas"...Please keep this please clean, DO NOT litter and leave nothing behind, thank you
Such an amazing place. Even though the sun wasn't shining it is still beautifull to drive around here. Really recommend it!!
Amazing view, simply surreal 😍
Awesome. The last semi arid zone in Europe. As inhospitable an environment as you will find yet filled with flora and fauna that can live nowhere else and stunning scenery. If you are in Almeria this area is a must see.
AMAZING place soooo gorgeous so much to do and see I'm in total and complete love xoxoxo
Wild desert, sandy beaches with people, stony beaches with no people, the highest lighthouse in the Mediterranean, snorkelling, views, starry nights, a sprinkling of good restaurants, history - plenty here for a week's holiday.

Strong waves, gotta be careful, nice water, nice smell of it. the little rocks kinda massage your feet 👍🏻
A good beach and spacious promenade, with plenty of bars and restaurants to stop and eat at. A great place to stay when you are in America with scenic views of the beach, promenade, town and great sunsets
Highly overrated, I would not recommend nor visit it again. It's a public free beach, but it had the worst 'sand' I've seen. It was made of small rocks mixed with dirt, so every time someone took a step a cloud of dust raised. Since there were a lot of beach ball fields, all occupied, the players made a huge cloud of dust along the whole coastline. Although the beach was fairly wide, people were jammed in the last 5 meters near the shore (to have a better quality sand and avoid the dust) and 5 meters in the water (as the sea got abruptly steep, so you would not be able to touch the ground after a few meters in), which meant the water wasnt the cleanest near the shore. The positive was that there were a lot of showers and public toilets along the beach.
A broad and really good sand beach in the centre of Almeria. There is a nice beach promenade and a lot of bars, restaurants and shops. It is lovely to sit on the beach, watching the sunset and ferries to and from Morocco. The beach here is not shallow, but perfect for a good swim. It is quite open so there are rather big waves on windy days.
Nice and clean beach.
Very nice promenade and beach. Long with plenty of space. Many bars along the way.
Not a bad beach. A little dirty from pollution and sea weed. A few cafes around but not alot.
The beach is OK. The water is clean, but the sand is as dirty as it could be: full of cigarette butts, soda cans, rests of food, and everything else. It has, however, a very nice view: you can see the mountains of Almería while you swim.

Excellent snorkeling experience, plenty of fish and underwater creatures especially on the margins. Keep aware of the see urchins! Beautiful view from above!
Fantastic beach! There's no sand but very very fine pebbles from every colors which aren't painful under the feet (so no keed for shoes on the beach!). The parking place is pretty big, we've never had problems finding a spot during the week (we always arrived around 16-17). The water is pristine and there's a huge amount of fish near the coast! We counted at least 20 different species which can be see simply by snorkeling. We swam only a couple of cm away from the fish (some of them getting up to 30cm long!). We loved this place!
Awesome spot for snorkelling, saw many fishes here! Water is crystal clear. The beach itself is pebbly but these were comfortable, we didn’t need the shoes. There are no services on this beach however there is a bar/restaurant opposite the road and parking lot where you can buy food/drinks.
Great little beach to snorkel, kayak, paddle board, and swim. Rocks can be a bit much but otherwise is amazing
Nice beach and it's surrounding. Ideal for snorkeling. No services so there is less people. But it is better to bring water shoes because of the large amount of coral near the beach.
A great beach and beutiful fish. The right place to snorkeling !!! Recommended to arrive around 9am cause later it becomes craudy.
It’s nice but there are other much better beaches in Cabo de Gata

Great beach to book a kayak and snorkel tour
Take bread, feed the fish in the crystal clear shallow water. Sand gets brutally hot but totally worth it
Sooooo much trash everywhere. Very disappointed with the locals ignoring this issue. Such a shame because it is a beautiful area with so much potential.
Why do you need to go to other beaches near here, which are more difficult to access? Hire, you have parkings, showers, and many shops. The water is clear, good place for snorkeling.
There's a certain end-of-the world feel to this enchanting place.
Beautiful wild beach, great location but v disturbing to see massive plastic pollution, small identical size pieces covering high and low water marks, from end to end of beach. Probably derivating from local agriculture I imagine.
Clean beach, clear water, parking is possible all along the beach
Nice beach, not crowded

Además la cerveza estaba muy buena. 100% recomendable

(Translated by Google) A must visit for brewers and the curious. Magnificent close treatment and professional explanations with answers to all the questions of an ignorant person on the subject. They teach you the entire manufacturing process, invite you to a beer and then if you want to buy. Also say that they do a magnificent job quietly growing and treating the cereal in a completely artisanal way in a beautiful but hostile environment.
