I didn't know what to expect, but I was blown away with the information & details that were presented. In recent years, I only purchase Terra Creta olive oil without knowing the passion that goes into each bottle of oil. From the partnership with farmers to the commitment to sustainably & obviously the taste, solidified my decision to only purchase Terra Creta. The tour lasted roughly 60 minutes with views of part of their facility. Our guide, Sophia was engaging, personable & passionate about the process. This has been one of the highlights of our holiday in Crete.
Great experience! Very knowledgeable staff. We had the chance to taste all products. Would definitely recommend!
Highly recommended. The staff was friendly, professional, and welcoming throughout. Although Terra Creta produces olive oil on a more industrial scale compared to smaller estates in the region, the tour felt personal and informative. Our guide explained the harvesting process, gave us an insightful walk through the mill, and concluded with a guided tasting. A well-rounded, down-to-earth experience.
It was a great experience! We learned everything about the olive oil production and on the end had a tasting of all the delicious products. Lady that was giving us a tour was really friendly and could answer all our questions.
What a wonderful tour and beautiful premises in Kolymvari, Crete. I highly recommend a drive out to take this informative tour. Our guide Sophia was friendly, attentive, and relayed very interesting facts about Terra Creta's olive production process. Bravo on producing such award-winning olive oils and striving for sustainability.
Very interesting place to visit and learn more about the quality of olive oil. Highly recommend with children too.
When I was in Crete for the first time 15 years ago, I bought your product. Since then, I consider your olive oil the best and buy it regularly in my home country. I wanted to see how and where it is produced. Thank you for the tour.
My friend and I had a wonderful tour with Sophia from Terra Creta. So knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the high quality, award winning olive oil they produced. She took us through the whole story from Olive trees to small batch and low temperature extra virgin production to a fascinating tasting. I highly recommend this tour!

Awesome testing of cretan wines! The host was so friendly and explained everything with passion, totally recommend the place! We booked the 5 wine tasting, 1hour and absolutely worth it!
Nikos gave a really good expert wine tasting. He answered all of my questions regarding their wines. Like toasting casks, wich casks, maturation proces, different grapes, Terroir, vintages, lees, wild fermented, their vision and goals for the future. I went there because I love the Elia Negroamaro. I have known it for 7 years now. Thank you ever so much for the hospitality and good wines. The wines are excellent wines. Nikos, a third grade sommelier, was a knowledgeable and really good host. I have been to many tastings, this one was top! I'll enjoy the wines i bought. Thankfully Hub Caelen.
This is an amazing winery, very underrated and hidden on the map but it’s one of the best on the island. The guys here are very welcoming and knowledgeable. The wines are of high quality and amazing taste. Highly highly recommended.
Self-proclaimed wine nerd and this is my favourite winery in the region. I recommend the premium tasting for the ungrafted variety. Sommeliers know their stuff and they are confident of their wines (obviously for a good reason!). Shame they don’t ship outside of EU. Wonderful experience!
We went to Karavitakis near the end of the day and we were welcomed by Fanis. He was an amazing and friendly host and walked us through the premium tasting. I am bit of a wine guy and the wines here are expertly crafted. The winery is a bit out of the way but it is an easy and beautiful trip from Chania. Thank you, Fanis and Karavitakis!
Nice spot for a wine tasting near Chania. Service is friendly and the wines are good. The tasting area is really pretty.
We’ve come here quite a few times, we love the wine, the setup is beautiful and the two sommeliers are full of knowledge and very welcoming. They have an extensive selection of wines and the space is new and beautiful. A great place to stock up on your wine.
Nikos was a great tour guide !! So knowledgeable and kind! Answered all of our questions and offered amazing suggestions, made this experience unforgettable!!! Site is beautiful and worthwhile.

this monastery from 17th century is really beautiful, it played a key role during Cretes struggles under Venetian and Ottoman rule! Its just right by the sea with an amazing view of kolymbari, this panorama is just stunning! mix of Venetian and Orthodox styles, with well-preserved frescoes and a charming courtyard! its got such an interesting history too, entrance price is totally fair!! I think it just helps with upkeep, and you get to see the museum in the basement which is packed with cool old items as well. oh, and the monks make this super tasty sweet wine, definitely try it if you get the chance! the whole place is peaceful and charming, perfect for a quiet visit with great views. loved it here!
Such a beautiful place. So much history. Just beautiful, felt very emotional visiting. Breathtaking views from the top too.
Tickets can be bought at the entrance. Since it is a monastery, they do prefer if your shoulders are covered and down to your knees is covered as well. So much beautiful history.
Beautiful monastery,2 euros entry fee. Lots of information. Lovely views as hight up. Free parking.
The most beautiful chance find a wonderful monetary immaculate presented breathtaking architecture and the basement museum is a treasure trove of artic acts artwork literature and ecclesiastical relics and clothing from 15th c onwards Jaw droppingly beautiful original religious artworks in display in a superb underground setting. So well done. Small gift shop and shaft places to sit and just 'be' away from the world's madness. They even have a deer farm onsite so cute. Worth every c of the €3 ticket. Please support this monestary and visit! Just on outskirts of kissamoss
Gorgeous and tranquil 17th Century monastery in western Crete. Stunning views from the monastery out to sea. Lots of history in this place and many artefacts to look at and read about at the monastery museum. Well worth the visit. There’s even a Turkish cannonball that stuck the monastery, still visible in the wall today. There is a €3 per person entry fee.
We visited this monastery on one of the days we stayed in Agia Marina, Crete. The monastery is located on the seashore near the town of Kolymvari. At the entrance there is a small parking lot and a deer pen. The entrance to the monastery is charged 3 euros per person, which is atypical for monasteries. In fact, I think there is an entrance fee to the museum that houses a very large collection of ancient relics. Inside the monastery I also saw a few turtles and a few parrots kept in inappropriate conditions, the turtles being kept in a small pool in the sun, the birds in a cage full of dirt. Photography and filming are prohibited inside the monastery. The view over the turquoise sea is dreamlike. I usually don't give less than 5 stars to religious establishments, but here, honestly, I didn't like how the animals are treated, and there is also an entrance fee.
Beautiful little monastery, and a great museum. A nice gift shop too.

We did one of smile cruises 4 hour boat and snorkelling trips and had a fantastic time. The locations that the boat visits are beautiful and the snorkelling was incredible. When you stop at the first bay make sure to swim over towards where they point out some ancient greek ruins at the top of the cliff. You can see Greek columns that have fallen into the sea! The snorkels and masks provided were clean and plentiful for everyone, we were also able to take a pool noodle to help make my wife feel a bit more comfortable swimming in deeper waters. The one thing I might add is that the boat was quite busy although there did seem to be seating for everyone. We arrived on the second coach so the boat already had lots of people on it and most of the outside shaded spots were taken already, we ended up sitting inside which was totally fine! Bring your swim suit and a change of clothes to change into dry clothes after swimming. Also highly recommend bringing with you a waterproof phone case so that you can take your phone as you swim to the beach to take photos of the ruins or the goats!
Had an amazing 4 hours plus with this group. Big spacious clean boat. Highly recommended
We had a lovely boat trip to 2 hiden beaches. It was amazing to swim in such transparent waters. The boat was a bit packed, but there was a place to sit for everyone.
Well organised trip, i bought tickets online, but saw that you can buy there also.. there is water and snacks ombord that ypu can buy.. different snorkling equipment..nice trip
I would like to share my experience with Smile Cruises' snorkeling tour in Crete. It was an unforgettable. I would give this tour five stars without hesitation! First: The beach was pristine and incredibly beautiful, surrounded by crystal clear waters and lush scenery. Having access to such an exclusive destination was a truly privileged experience. But that's not all! We also had the opportunity to explore a cave where we could snorkel. It was a magical experience gliding into the turquoise waters. The water was so clear that I could see all the fish The boat that took us to these amazing spots was also really nice. It was well-maintained, spacious, and comfortable. The crew was friendly, welcoming, and professional. They made sure we felt safe and well taken care of throughout the entire trip. There was also plenty of equipment available, allowing us to fully enjoy the snorkeling experience. Overall, Smile Cruises' snorkeling tour in Crete was an unforgettable experience. It combined a beautiful private beach, an enchanting cave, and crystal clear water. I highly recommend Smile Cruises to anyone looking memorable snorkeling experience in Crete.
Τέλεια! Ευχαριστούμε Really nice crew - everything was smooth on the boat and equipment of good quality Stavros was also a very kind and attentive driver - transport went perfectly
Really enjoyed our morning cruise - the boat was lovely. Really comfortable and clean. The staff on board were also great - especially lovely Maria! Thanks for a great day of swimming and snorkelling
We had a great snorkeling/swimming trip today with Smile cruise. We booked via Tui and were very happy with the outing. We were picked up at our hotel, took a comfy bus to the boat and then departed ; we first stopped by a gorgeous pebble beach for about 1,5 hour, then to a beautiful creek where we stayed another 30 min or so and could dive and jump from the very top of the boat. There is plenty of masks / snorkels / fins for everyone. Phil the host is a super knowledgeable and friendly guy and made sure everyone was comfortable and having a good time. Highly recommend !!

If you are looking for a place where diving is not only a sport, but a real adventure and great fun, then you must meet Panosa and Claire from the Royal Octopus PADI 5 Star Dive Center*! From the very beginning, as soon as I crossed the threshold of their center, I felt like an old acquaintance, not another customer. It's not just a diving centre - it's a place with a soul! Panos and Claire are true enthusiasts with a lot of knowledge and an even bigger heart. Their approach to each diver, regardless of their level of experience, is simply exemplary. Always smiling, patient and ready to dispel any doubts. I felt 100% safe underwater with them, and their tips and advice were always worth its weight in gold. You can see that diving is their life, and they infect everyone who finds themselves in their company with this passion. There's nothing to write about, you just have to survive! I guarantee you an unforgettable experience and a great atmosphere. I will definitely go back to them! Thanks for the great time!❤️
I had a great experience diving with Panos. He’s super friendly and professional, and I did 3 great dives with him. I was able to bring my wife and our 10month baby along, who could spend the day relaxing at the nice beach area.
Our son, completed his PADI Open Water certification with Panos in a stunning, secluded cove—a setting that couldn’t have been more perfect for a first diving experience. The waters were crystal clear, the marine life was vibrant, and the environment was calm and welcoming for beginners. From the moment we arrived, Panos treated us like family. He was warm, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable, striking the perfect balance between professionalism and genuine care. He took him under his wing, guiding him every step of the way with patience, encouragement, and a true passion for scuba diving. It was clear that Panos wasn’t just ticking boxes—he was fully invested in making sure he had the best possible introduction to diving. Thanks to Panos, we’re so grateful for the experience and the memories made.
Big thanks to Panos! He is a super passionate guide with a lot of energy. We were lucky enough to open his and our dive season with him and were rewarded with a short glimpse of a seal 🦭 My gf was snorkelling while I was diving, which was very nice! The Cretan sea in general was not the prettiest but nonetheless worth some exploring! As an only input I‘d say that the speed was a bit too high for me to explore. Thanks Panos for sending over the pictures!
Great scuba diving experience once again. Excellent and very friendly customer service. Everything was perfect again, as always. Thank you Panos&Claire!
I had an amazing diving experience! A special thank you to my instructor Panos...patient, knowledgeable, and truly passionate about diving. He made the dive unforgettable. I can’t recommend this dive center enough, whether you’re a beginner or experienced diver. I will definitely come back!
Thank you to Panos and Claire! It was my first time diving and it was a fantastic experience! 11/10 recommendation to try with these guys. They were super friendly and professional and it was overall just great.
The night before our last day in Crete I found I had time to go diving and called Panos at the Royal Octopus Dive Center. What a blast!! Panos gave clear instructions, supplied perfectly fitted and good quality gear and took me for an amazing dive. If we had more time I would have gone 3 or 4 more times. Amazing guy (and his dog Albert). Definitely 5 stars.

Very nice service and the lady, daughter of the owner of this place was really chatty and fun to hang with. Had a short and educative tour, but most of all they have wonderful organic soap and other products. We got the soap with Forrest wich we cant wait to use after our long hike.
Nicest shop and people. Great natural products!
Was so glad I visited Fisika while on holiday in Geraini! The products are really beautiful and it was nice to be able to try some of the skincare balms before buying. I received such a warm welcome from the ladies in the shop, and I enjoyed talking to Filio about the story behind Fisika ❤️. They also have some beautiful jewellery and gifts. It is an ideal place to visit and treat yourself!
Excellent products, ladies really know there oils.
Thank you for this wonderful, informative and warm moment; high quality products, for yourself, but also in my case, to offer to my family and friends. Thank you also for the free infusion of Cretan Mountain Tea, sweet and fragrant with a gift bag to continue enjoying it once you return to Bordeaux. I highly recommend this moment of sweetness.
Amazing family run business, producing quality products with an olive oil base. They have a website that also does worldwide shipping!
The quality of their products and ingredients is unsurpassed - the purest from nature. Perfect for wet shaving and moisturising.

highly recommend Bike Project for renting bikes! The owner is enthusiastic and friendly, making the whole experience enjoyable. They offer great advice on routes, and you can tell they genuinely care about helping you have a fantastic ride. If you're looking to explore the area on two wheels, this is definitely the place to go!
Five well-deserved stars! Fantastic service from start to finish! The bikes were perfectly maintained and ready for any challenge. Yannis also shared some beautiful cycling routes around Crete online, which were incredibly helpful for exploring the island in an authentic and safe way. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to ride with quality bikes.
All the good reviews are valid. Yiannis cares about his bikes and his customers, so you're in for fantastic service and great riding. I hired the carbon road bike (Basso Vento) for eight days, riding 7 of them, 269 miles (430k) and >15,000 ft climbing and bike handled it all (better than me!) Bike delivered and collected to/from hotel on time and communication at all points very good.
Would recommend to anyone who wants to explore Crete on a bike. Fantastic customer service, extensive range of bicycles to choose from and all this at a great price level. Also worth noting that the bicycles are well maintained. Yannis - the owner - is very keen to suggest routes and share them in a digital format (gpx). Thanks to his help and the bike, I got to places a typical tourist would not have a chance to experience!
Just finished 70k loop recommended by the owner and I must say it was the best part of my holiday. Renting a bike is super easy but I think why this place stand out to others is personalized service in route selection. The one I did was so well thought of and Crete mountains are simply breathtaking. This place also offer group rides, however demand is not so high during hot months - but do check over email, owner is responding very quickly. Overall, amazing experience.
Second time I have rented a full carbon bike from here, they even drop it off at your villa and pick it back up. I emailed In advance my requirements for extra water holder, SPD l pedals. You get tyre levers , spare tubes. I took my own Garmin and Garmin mount. The roads are stunning and found plenty of routes from my villa in Koukanara on Strava. Just search on maps. Greek drivers are very patient. If they honk it's just to let you know they are there.
Great bikes, great service. I took the bike late evening, because I want to make the ride early morning. The owner explained me the route, helped me to install the app on the phone. Gave me everything for the ride. The routs are beautiful!! Great views. I took the MTB 3 picks. Highly recommended!!!
Had great experience with the e-bike. Excellent option to get up to the mountains in the heat (honestly the only option for me😂) Great service, can recomend warmly

Unprecedented views of western Crete from here. Gorgeous views of the monastery nearby. Definitely worth a quick visit. Free to enter. Ample parking available. No off-road driving to get here. (Swarms of cicadas too!)
Very peaceful and moving memorial. Great views along the coast. Spoilt only by the amount of litter lying around.
Great hike, amazing place
The monument for the fallen kadets isn't that impressive, but the surrounding view is stunning!
Great views and a very nice memorial.
The view is stunning but the memorial itself instead of proudly holding a greek flag is full of rubbish including used condoms... Sad and disrespectful to those fighting for this beautiful island.

Quiet and really quite beautiful. There was no-one there when we visited. There's an amazing view adjacent to the cave entrance that looks out towards the ocean. Worth a visit if you're going to the old olive tree or olive oil factory.
A whopping 1 Euro entry fee per adult (kids get in for free) for an amazing view and fascinating place of worship dug straight into a large cave. Definitely worth a visit. Visit duration about 15-20 minutes and your done.
A fascinating and beautiful place, with an even more storied past. Lots of flora and scenic views. Imposing, solemn caves of worship and teaching.
One of the most beautiful and tranquil places I have ever been to. The cave is large and well worth the visit. Surrounded by stunning views of the hills and valleys full of olive trees. Completely free entry.
Great walk down the gorge to a reservoir. Starts off easy to a small church. Then gets much harder, you have to be fit as you have to lower yourself down holding onto ropes in some parts. Had to wade across the river at the bottom of the gorge to reach the reservoir. The views made it worth the effort.
Very innovative place for a wedding. Search for and walk into hidden places. you can find where Greek children used to study when it wasn't permitted to. In the hidden schools.
A very calming place! A lovely and very talkative cat lives here, please caress her and bring her some food!

We had a great time on the Balos- Gramvousa excursion. Mirella tried to tell everyone (in several languages) the historical stories. She told us a lot of interesting information. The boat was a bit crowded, but we got used to it by the end. The history of Gramvousa and of course the beautiful views make it worth the climb up the more than 300 steps. The beach was very nice and the water temperature was pleasant. At Balos the boat stops about 50 metres from the shore and you have to swim out. We had no problems with it, but if you're not sure about floating, take a mattress with you. The coast is incredibly beautiful. And just when we were there, the sand was the same pink colour as Elafonissi. Mirella also took some great pictures of us. We are happy to recommend her to others!
We did three tours with this company, Elafonisi, Samaria Gorge, and Balos / Gramvousa and everyone of them was so well organized. Katerina was so helpful and genuine, all the guides where so informative and friendly, and the drivers are the best in town. All we had to do was enjoy them. And enjoy them we did!! We will never forget these adventures! If you are interested in a fair priced, hassle free excursion, I recommend this company.
We really enjoyed our trip to Elefonisi beach, thanks to Sophia and amazing driver. On the way we visited beautiful cave and had amazing views 😍 We had beautiful weather and you need strong sunscreen lotion. You can purchase few bits on the way in the shop. Oh and pink sand isn't always guaranteed, we had to walk a little to find it 😉 but water and views are amazing. We also booked Balos trip where we was taken by big ship. This blue lagoon is amazing, but we could spend there a bit more time. Be prepared to take blanket/towels with you to sit down and to rent umbrella from the ship as there are not many sunbeds with umbrellas there. Thank you Mystical Tours for easy bookings, good prices, pick-up from hotel, and amazing time. Kat & family
We were on Samaria Gorgue tour and we loved it! Very good organization, comfortable bus and AMAZING Guide! Our guide is a great guy, he told us a lot of stories during the tour. His positive attitude was infectious ;) we had a great time and we highly recommend Samaria Tour with Mystical Crete Tours
Thanks to the driver (depicted in the picture) i was able to make my way back from Elafonisi without fearing for my life. Literally the best driver i have ever seen. We were following him all the time and knew if he can make it through the tight curves and roads in the mountains we can make it as well.
I have participated in two tours to the Samaria and Imbros gorges. Excellent organization, excellent guides. I highly recommend it.
This is the review of two trips provided by the MCT: Trip 1: Preveli Palm Beach (4,0/5,0) - the Good: well organized, pick up on time, sympathetic guide - the Bad: bus too small (we were packed like sardines), misleading info on pricing: 12€ per person for the return boat trip was not optional so the actual total excursion price was actually 25€+12€ - just to keep this in mind. Trip 2: Day trip to Chania (2,0/5,0) - the Good: it is nothing more but a bus transportation to Chania and back - the Bad: here we are victims of our laziness, instead of spending 27€ per person for this transportation we could take a bus; it should not be called "excursion", the group was abandoned by the guide immediately after the arrival
My Husband and I had a great experience through Mystic Tours to the Samaria Gorge. Karolina was our guide and she made the whole trip amazing for us. They were timely, and picked us up near our airbnb. We got an opportunity to get breakfast, coffee, juice and snacks just minutes before the trail head. Karolina checked in on us during the trail and got us our ferry tickets back. I can't say enough amazing things about Karolina. She was such a ray of sunshine and made sure our whole group was thriving and doing well. 10/10 would recommend.
