Unusual sandstone rock formations eroded by wind & water, next to a popular swimming beach.

This is a beautiful place to visit. I live near here and often visit the local beach and local restaurants. The erosions are stunning and in the summer month's they are often the lit up backdrop for many concerts. There is plenty of parking, a great beach and lots of places to eat and drink. Beautiful at sunset and wonderful nightlife during the summer, as well as concerts and fiestas
A beautiful and interesting place. Apart from the huge sandstone formations, driving just a few kilometers further on, there is a mini-nudist beach, as well as a giant swing overlooking the sea.
Interesting rock formations next to a nice beach area and large car park. If staying in the area and looking for a relaxing afternoon, it's worth a trip here. There are a couple of restaurants too.
Beautiful and impressive sandsculptures. There is a QR code to take you to the detailed information about the sculptures in English, however its disappointing that you first have to sign up to the town's newsletter so we didn't bother. Also the enormous and EMPTY (in January) car park only allows a 4 hr stay so you can't park there overnight if visiting restaurants.
Free parking the water is so much more clearer than mazarrón beach and you have oasis bar which has great food and service
Great point of interest. Perfect viewpoint and stunning creation by nature. Reason for the 4/5 is the lack of protection and preserving of this landmark by the responsible authorities. Keep in mind that there is no protection (fencing/danger signs) on top of the location. Keep in mind that this location is created by erosion and that collapse of the edges on top is a potential danger.
Really fascinating place. Comparable to the Hoodoos in Drumheller, near Calgary in Canada. Well worth a visit. Great road trip down through the mountain pass.
Yes they are some unusual rock formations caused by weathering. A decent photo opportunity from the large open piece of car park in front of them, which is also suitable as a wild Camp motorhome stopover. The beach opposite is fantastic.

Best beach ever. - Perfect sand. - Water excellent. - Lot of free space. - Super bathing waves. Overall super conditions.
Magnificent views are offered by the promenade that connects the Playa de Bahia with the Playa de la Isla. It is worth exploring the entire coastline in Mazarrón.
Fantastic beach. Beach bar only there from Easter onward. Nice gentle slopping beach. Good sandy beach not stoney like others near by.
We went in February and it wasn't busy at all. The temperature was a good 19 degrees, so not too cold and not too warm. There weren't many shops open as it was out of season, but it was still nice to chill and make sandcastles on the beach with my son. If you want a relaxing day with not many people, then this is a perfect time to go in Feb. We spent a week around the area and there was a lot to see on foot. Easy to get from the airport and didn't take too much time to get there. It would be interesting to see what it would be like in the peak periods of the year, but I can imagine that the beaches would be packed and the temperature would be really hot. Of course you may like that. We did think about getting a couple of bikes as there is a bike shop nearby (walking distance) but we didn't have time to do this as we had planned other things. There were no public toilets about so be warned, but the cafe/restaurant nearby did allow us to use it for our little one. We did end up eating there in the end.
I really nice area to go through a walk
Great beach also hotel near for food and drinks

Beautiful spot overlooking the sea and beach. Easily access and benches to sit on when you are on the top.
Not worth to visit, path has no more then 150mts, views are nice but place itself extreamly dirty and seams to be totally neglected
Very pretty area. Nice views
Very nice promentary overlooking Mazarron bay. Great views. Not a lot up on the top, just a few benches to sit on.
Lovely beaches, wooden walk way to the view point! Great place to capture the sunset!
Nice area very clean sea and beaches
Lovely beach calm sea, lovely walk to the top to view point with views to main port and surrounding area. Climb easy and it's not too high, people of all ages were managing the steps up but unfortunately not suitable for wheelchairs.

This is our beach because we live right next to it (50m). The only downside is the chiringuito closes for the winter. The sunsets are spectacular
Beach is ok, not smooth sand, more so around the hut that sells refreshments, didn't stay too long due to the wind blowing the sand in my face, but all said, nice place to relax
Large sandy beach with easy access into the sea. Suitable for all ages. There are chiringuitos nearby for food and drinks although many close around October November times
Nice and relaxing to sit in the sun considering it's the third week of November
(Translated by Google) Dog beach recommended 100%. It is spacious, quiet and beautiful. It has a few stones at the entrance, but they are quite small. If you are in the area and want your pet to enjoy a good day at the beach, don't hesitate to visit it. It also has good parking. (Original) Playa para perros recomendada 100%. Been here few times, love it's position right on the beach with amazing views. Food always delicious, service good recommend
This was a lovely relatively quiet spot when we visited. The view of the boats moored up was lovely. A still calm sea and tiny fishes all swimming on top of the water. There was a chiringuito close by for a cold beer too.
Lovely little beach, sandy and not to busy. Shallow water so great for kids. Easy to park and plenty of cafes and shops nearby.
One of the best spots in Spain
One of our favourite beaches in Puerto de Mazarrón just out from the hustle and bustle of the Port area, but close enough to walk to of an evening if you want a bigger choice of bars, restaurants etc, was €5 to get back to Ermita in a taxi but that was in 2021. 👍👍
We love this place! Brilliant sardines (when in season)service always good...can't wait for summer as its situated close to beach....perfectXx
Nice beach but very little else.
Love this place ❤️ love the children's friendly Beach and the restaurant

If you want an easy walk, park close to the statue along the side street where there is parking below. Otherwise park near the beach and take the steeper and longer route up. Beautiful statue and superb views of the coast. Plan to walk either way and the Port (Marina) is in one direction and in the other, beaches and more restaurants.
Nice walk to the top absolutely stunning views
Beautiful views of the town, beaches and mountains. You can park really close by, else the walk from the town is short and easy. Much better than the lighthouse nearby.
Nice short walk from carpark. With spectacular views.
Jesus statue on top of a hill overlooking the harbour. Nice views and walk over the hill down onto the western beach's.. The faros bar allows you to have a drink up there overlooking the port then walk to the corazon after
Great views Time for prayer and thoughts Thank you
Beautiful views, peaceful, quiet, calming.
Good vantage point to see the horizon. Not the best scenery to walk past to get to it but nevertheless worth walking to just to say you did it. Was built in 1948 so has some memories behind it for some

Expert guides tell the story of Jameson in a recreated distillery scene with tastings and dining.
Slide 1 of 8
It was incredible experience. Our tour guide was amazing. First you get free welcome drink - you have 3 options from Jameson (Jameson with lime and ginger is amazing). Then you go to first room, it’s about history of Jameson. Second room is about how to make Jameson and on third you learn about differences, how to smell and taste different Jamesons. With this guide, it was really amazing and I could stay longer than 45 minutes.
My wife and I took this tour on a Monday morning a few hours before our flight home and had a wonderful time. Our tour guide was very animated and obviously loved his job! Great tour through history all the way to current time. Definitely recommend this tour for any whiskey aficionados or anyone with just a taste for Jameson.
I paid about $26 for the Jameson Distillery tour and it was worth every penny. They start with a really cool 3D projector story about the history and how Jameson is made, then you move into a tasting room where you try four different Jamesons and learn how to properly smell and taste whiskey. It truly feels like a world-class experience. The premium ones were noticeably smoother (whiskey by itself definitely grows hair on your chest 😂), but it was fun, informative, and delicious. After the tasting, you get a drink included — they already have a bar set up with several cocktail options, and if you want another drink afterward you can buy more. The tour guide was incredible — funny, knowledgeable, and made it feel like he actually believed every part of the history. It was so good I found myself thinking, “Do y’all hire? I could work here too.” The staff overall was extremely friendly and helpful. They’ll even hold your bags if you’re coming straight from the airport like I was. There’s merchandise at the end if you want to shop, and the whole experience is just a lot of fun from start to finish. I would 100% come back and I’d tell anyone visiting Dublin to add this to their trip.
What an unforgettable experience at the Jameson Distillery! We opted for the Secret Whiskey Package and savored every moment. The tour was a delightful blend of history, craftsmanship, and fun, with fascinating insights into the company’s founder and the art of whiskey making. The highlight? Learning the skills of whiskey tasting, followed by a truly delicious sampling experience. Despite the bustling crowd of fellow travelers, the staff made us feel so special and welcome. We loved every minute and can’t wait to return!
Had a fantastic tasting tour on my second visit to this iconic Irish distillery. The guide’s deep knowledge and entertaining presentation made the experience memorable. It’s no wonder Jameson remains one of the world’s top selling whiskeys. Highly recommended!
Exactly everything you'd expect from a distillery tour. Great tour guide, samples of the whisky, and the best ambiance. All the employees were stellar and very nice to chat with. You can also purchase exclusive bottles you can't get anywhere else in the world.
The tour is small but mighty. They managed to fit so much together that it ended up being my favorite part of Dublin. The presentation of the distilleries History as well as its accomplishments. The staff were friendly and the atmosphere was a perfect way to end our day. The John Jamison philosophy of everyone’s family has made this an absolute favorite for life.
We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Jamison Distillery. I went with my husband and my daughter. It was very informative and quite interesting. There were several experiences during the tour. We tasted whiskeys that we hadn't tried before. Our new favorite one is Black Barrel. We've bought a bottle now that we're back home and have shared it with a neighbor. He is now a fan! I recommend going on this tour. It's fun, educational, and it even has a cute little shop inside.

Fantastic place to take the dogs so they can mingle with others. Sunday mornings at 09:00 in the winter, and 08:00 in the summer are great as a large group of rescue dogs and their new owners all get together for an hour or so.
Loved it...lots of great doggies. All of different characters & sizes. So fantastic to have a huge beach for them to have fun.
Really nice dog beach with golden sand and possibility to swim. Unfortunately no showers around.
Nice beach but very dirty. The entrance at the beach full of poo. Need to be maintain and the people try to be more clean.
If you are a dog you are going to love this place!
Really nice and large dog beach, with sand so it is comfortable for dog paws :)

Very friendly and interesting visit. It’s all in Spanish but the pictures and artefacts tell the story
a great free museum with interesting artefacts
An excellent insight into Roman occupation and how they farmed, shipped and preserved meats and oils. There's also a fantastic assortment of items that were found during the excavation of the basement of this town building.
Interesting excavation of an old Roman 'cannary'. Entrance is free, and the tour is short, but interesting. Funny to see the foundation of the apartment block above is kept.
Old Roman ruins but very poorly lit. Information boards only in Spanish.
Wow. Historycall place. Worth to visit
(Translated by Google) When I visited the Roman Fish Salting Factory in Mazarrón, I was fascinated by the complexity and scale of this Roman coastal industry. The museum, located in the Port of Mazarrón, preserves part of the original structures of a large industrial complex dating from the 4th and 5th centuries AD. As you explore the site, you can see the vats or tanks where the fish was cured with salt, a process that yielded not only salted fish but also the famous Roman sauce "garum," highly prized throughout the Empire's diet. Also on display are the channels, amphorae, and work areas where the fish was cleaned and cut up before fermentation. The museum's focus extends beyond the factory itself: it dedicates part of its space to showcasing the history of Mazarrón from Prehistory to the medieval period, highlighting the economic role of the fish salting industry in shaping the region. It is significant that the site is a listed Building of Cultural Interest (BIC), which guarantees its protection. Furthermore, recent excavations have uncovered evidence that the factory was even larger than previously thought. The visit was a truly eye-opening experience: seeing the structures where garum, a condiment so essential to the Romans, was produced allowed me to connect with an ancient trade, with lost flavors, and with the legacy of Mazarrón, which, along its coast, was a major economic center in antiquity.
