Enormous palace estate with a Baroque residence & 50-hectare gardens plus an exhibition tour.

This palace and the grounds were phenomenal. We had plans to go to a different castle outside of Torino but ended up having some troubles, so we decided to visit this place instead and it did not disappoint. We were all a bit frustrated that our plans didn't work out, but that immediately dissipated when we started walking through this palace. Amazing architecture. We went in winter but the gardens were still amazing. It was also a great opportunity for us to learn about Italy's rich history. We didn't purchase tickets in advance and didn't have any problems. We also came towards the end of the day but we're still able to get through the parts we wanted in time. After finishing we walked down the beautiful little town street which had plenty of restaurants and cafes.
Really nice museum, after annimpressive restoration project is now possible to visit the old palace and its wonderfull gardens. The museum cover the story of the Savoia family and provides a view on how it was the life at the palace in the old time. It worths to visit if you are in Torino or nearby.
For one time visit it is good. I feel it could be better. They could use the olace to show of more of the kings furniture or living style. It seemed very empty. With all those rooms they could put together a very spectacular thing. The most important there was an exhibitionn from paintings that the Doges of Genoa owned. But that was not permanent as I understood. The rest meh. I've seen better palaces. It was a good thing that there is a specific bus , the Venaria express, that goes there, and that there are places to eat and shop there, outside the palace, so you can combine it with lunch or a walk.
Amazing palace. Definitely worth a visit but the visit with the gardens can take up to a full day considering a transfer from Turin. Consider it in your trip. Would definitely come back
Quite an amazing place. As a French person, my reference is Versailles, which is a tough one to be measured against. Well this is actually really nice and impressive. It is quite amazing to see the massive “ballroom” and the chapel on premise. Definitely worth visiting if you are in the Torino Area.
A Masterpiece of Majesty and Light – La Venaria Reale I had the privilege of visiting La Venaria Reale today—an experience that transcends the notion of a palace visit and becomes instead an intimate dialogue with European history, art, and architecture at its zenith. From the celestial heights of the Cappella di Sant’Uberto, crowned with the breathtaking dome and housing Francesco Trevisani’s 1724 altarpiece, to the geometrically exquisite Galleria Grande, the entire estate is a declaration of Baroque magnificence. Walking through the softly curtained thresholds, the marble-clad galleries, and the sun-drenched halls adorned with sculpture and silence, one senses the aesthetic discipline and spiritual symbolism that shaped the House of Savoy’s royal narrative. The palace does not merely exhibit artworks—it becomes one. Its rhythm of alternating light and shadow, its whispered echoes under vaulted ceilings, and its deliberate, ceremonial transitions between rooms, make the visitor not just a guest, but a participant in a royal theatre of time. A must for those who seek depth in beauty, discipline in design, and reverence in detail.
Very popular with the locals. Interesting facts and a very good representation of its history. Take your time and go to all the rooms and take in the atmosphere.
Wow. Stunning. Recommend visiting especially on a weekday. Was so quiet, no crowds. Absolutely stunning palace. The town is beautiful too I would love go back to explore more there too. Having just visited the palace of Versailles in France a couple weeks prior and battling the crowds, it was amazing to practically have the Venaria Palace to ourselves! It was a hot day when we visited in July 2024 and we took the train tour around the gardens. What a dream! One of my favourite places in Italy.

Really enjoyed the ride. The driver give us information regarding the Park and the king who lived there. Beautiful Alpi mountains view. We stopped at the range were you can opt to go for horse riding. Don't lose this opportunity if you go to Reggia de Venaria.
Huge park just outside Venaria Reale that is a suburb of Turin. Good for walking, tracking and cycling. Once there, visit the palace - it's small yet very cosy and interesting.
Really Nice park in the outskirts og Torino. Recommended
Dense forest near the city. Suitable for walking and cycling trial.
This is one of the most amazing parks that you can find near Turin. It's extremely big and there are many smaller parks inside the huge Parco La Mandria. Very good path for bike touring.
Phenomenal experience at the bike rental: Jesus, Martino and Alice are really fantastic. Caring and expert, they made my day!!
Very nice and relaxing place to spend the weekend. The parking was kind of full and we had to walk a little to get there but we were planning to walk anyway so no big deal. I've been visiting La Mandria park since I was a child and I never got disappointed by any mean.

What a great crew or servers. All of them were upbeat and helpful. The atmosphere in the square is quaint and wonderful. And the bathroom is clean and refreshing. A wonderful find in Venaria.
Coperto without bread?! the food was ok, not more; all other tables got a bread basket, we didn't. On the bill was then „4 x coperto“. we said we had no bread at all. Answer: That would be the case in Italy, it would have nothing to do with the bread. i hate it when i'm thought stupid. if the service forgets the bread, I don't want to pay for it either. very easily.
Not pet friendly, zero Tolerance from the stuff of the restaurant. After the bad impression we let the place inmeadiatly
There are secrets at the location, that one should discover: nice underground rooms, very good plates, plus another one... Staff is young and pleasant. There was locals also enjoying their plate. I am ranking this place in my top 2.
I don't recommend. I don't think I had such bad tasting food anywhere else in Italy, especially in an Italian restaurant. The gniochi was very disgusting and bland. The tartar was moochy and it was bland as well. The rice was aromated with a really cheap strong wine taste that ruined everything and they just put some parmeggiano on top of that abomination. The Pudding was so bitter and gross it tasted like expired eggs. Very much a waste of time and a disgrace to Italian patrimony.
Visitors can sit outside, inside or in the cellar, whereas the ground floor is quite crowded and tight. The food is tasty, the staff is friendly, but quite busy. You may need to wait longer than expected.
Wonderful place in the central plaza in front of the Venaria Palace. Good prices and good food!
Reasonably priced, good food, good service, very clean bathroom.

(Translated by Google) The Piazza della SS Annunziata was designed at the same time as the village of Venaria Reale. In the original design, the designer Amedeo di Castellamonte had envisaged a larger square. Two columns with statues recall the Annunciation of Mary, to which the building is dedicated. The Church of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary overlooks the Piazza della SS Annunziata, designed by Amedeo di Castellamonte himself, who had planned the construction of a twin church on the opposite side of the Square. Only the façade of the second church was completed.

Nice venue for concerts and balletos. the venue is not that big so all seats have great visibility. one thing to consider: The seats are flat so you might have a problem if you have a tall person in front of you.
Nice venue for concerts. They are well organised and the experience was great.

(Translated by Google) You can hardly speak of bicycle rental SERVICE here. After payment, the bicycles will be placed for you, not adjusted. You must adjust the saddle to the correct height yourself, but it is not possible to secure it properly, which means that the saddle turns with your movements while cycling. The saddle was also positioned slightly with the point downwards, something that you cannot adjust yourself (but which my balls ultimately had no objection to). The bicycles have no gears, which requires dismounting on some paths in the park. Due to the dusty paths in the park, it would not be a bad idea to rinse the bicycles after returning or before issuing them or to remove the dust with a wet cloth. Also due to the amount of dust, it seems that the chain could use some grease. Speaking of the paths in the park - the bicycle rental company cannot do anything about this: several kilometers of path of the 'golden route' were closed due to the danger of falling wood after a heavy storm on June 30. It is inconceivable that these unsafe places have not yet been addressed after more than 2 months and that all paths have been reopened. We were not aware of this situation and it was (as it turned out afterwards) only in Italian and indicated in a not so prominent place and in rather small letters: between the counter (payment) and the location of the bicycle distribution. They could have told us that as foreigners, but the landlord only spoke poor English (and we spoke poor Italian), but it confirms my statement about the concept of 'service' as it is used here. Fortunately, our bicycles (and tires!) did not break down along the way, hence a meager three stars.
