Mahon pool a beautiful pool. I didn't get in the pool due to high winds and cold weather. But others were swimming 🏊‍♂️Mahon Pool is a rock pool located to the north of Maroubra Beach at the base of Jack Vanny Reserve. The exposed rock outcrops and cliffs above it make it a spectacular venue. Steep steps lead down to the ocean pool from a car park on Marine st . I am definitely coming back when the weather is good and have a swim in this beautiful ocean pool

This area is absolutely gorgeous!! Have a picnic 🧺 here. We walked down here from Coogee Beach and it was gorgeous all along the coast. Fairly easy walk and not crowded. Highly recommend it. I can’t speak to the pool though. It looked like everyone was having a good time.

Mahon Pool was built in the 1930s as an unemployment relief project, making it almost a hundred years old. It was first listed with the National Trust in 1994, stating it had “high aesthetic value due to its siting and the manner by which the pool tends to ‘melt’ into the rock platform”. We agree, hence our second visit this morning after a four-year absence. It has great change facilities (good job Randwick City Council) plus outdoor showers too, and free four-hour parking at the top of the hill that overlooks it. This is everything we love about ocean pools: democratic, diverse and free as a bird for all. It’s full of marine life too if you want to bring your snorkeling gear. We’ll inevitably return again.

It was a great and fun experience and the instructors dedicated energy and time to every single participant. They also divided up theory, practice and stretching in a really good ratio in my opinion. I felt very supported in my first time surfing and I was in a really good mood during and after the class thanks to the instructors (I came in in pouring rain mind you)!

Had my very first surf lesson here and it was an amazing experience! The instructor was super nice, patient, and explained everything clearly — from safety to basic techniques. Even as a complete beginner, I felt really comfortable and well-guided throughout the entire session. The vibes were great, the beach was beautiful, and the whole class was fun and encouraging. Heffron Pedal Park is a fantastic spot for kids to ride safely. The track is set up like a mini road system with signs and road markings, making it fun and educational at the same time. The whole area is well-maintained and clean, with plenty of open space for parents to watch and relax. It’s a great place to build kids’ bike confidence in a safe, car-free environment. Perfect for a family outing!

great massive open park with the rabbitohs heffron centre. but could do with more picnic areas and seating and shading throughout the park, then i would give 5 stars. there are netball courts, and basketball, footy, badmunton, gymnastics at hwffron centre. theres usually a food truck or two around in one of the many car parks. usually the one at the heffron centre, on bunnerong road has the "Wholly Schnit" food truck. i see them nirmally thurs and friday evening from about 4pm to 7pm. great schnitzels. good prices. sit at the stands and watch the local soccer teams play or train in the weekday evenings. has a kids bike track for the kiddies and there is a tracj you can ride on if there arent any cycle races.

Actully, ChatGPT recommended this park for me when I asked for a recommendation for 10k run with my dog. I absolutely loved my experience here. Unlike other nearby dog-friendly parks, Centennial and Astrolabe, it has easy flat surfaced track for running with amazing views. I went around at 7am and it was serene with a few slow paced bike riders. My dog enjoyed exploring this park, too!

Heffron Park was where I walked my dog in the mid 70's, there wasn't much else than the swimming pool or a very basic rough bike track. Now with Netball centre, Soccer centre, Tennis centre & the under construction of the high performance area for the Bunnies. This park is hard to go past as feature for the local residents living in Maroubra, Matraville or Pagewood area.

The educators are all so friendly, caring, and professional — they’ve created such a warm and welcoming environment for little ones. My daughter Harper attends once a week while her brother and I go to swimming lessons and she always goes in happily and comes out with a big smile. It’s such a peace of mind knowing she’s in great hands and being well cared for while I do lessons. We’re really grateful for this service — it’s been a fantastic experience all around. Des Renford Leisure Centre is a fantastic place for families! There are multiple pools to choose from, including heated ones in winter, which makes it perfect all year round. That manager Yvonne — tall lady with a dirty blonde ponytail — has a bad habit of interrupting members mid-workout. Last time I was doing pull-ups at the squat rack, she walked over insisting on putting a barbell back onto the rack that I had intentionally moved aside (and placed safely in a corner) so I could train. It’s extremely unprofessional to disrupt someone’s exercise like that — especially from a manager. And it’s not the first time she’s done it. I’m paying for a gym, not for constant interruptions and micromanagement.

Very large centre with multiple pools (indoor and outdoor), gym, creche, cafe, birthday party rooms and small swim shop. The pools were well attended, I just only grabbed pix without many people in them for privacy reasons. 🥳 Attended for a party and had a great experience. They have main outdoor 25m pool, enclosed heated kids pool, shallow toddler pool, indoor 25m competition pool and indoor heated pool. Plenty of outdoor space if you want to throw a picnic. Cafe available, too. For some reason, indoor heated pool is not open for free swim or aqua play for quite some time now. This makes it hard for me to choose this place during the cooler season especially with kids. Other than that, facilities are okay in a reasonable condition, nothing special to complain about. The staff there are mostly friendly, if not very keen in customer service occasionally.

The receptionist was extremely rude today with my family. I was looking for goggles right at the entrance. I had my dog but since there was NO SIGN signalling that dogs are prohibited, I went in. Again, I wasn’t going inside the center, I was just looking for goggles at the entrance. She was rude and said that dogs are prohibited. She managed to release the tension in my shoulders and even offered some valuable advice for my overall well-being. I highly recommend giving her a try! Just a heads up—she only works here on Fridays, so it’s best to book in advance.

I went for a foot massage yesterday around 11am. It's the first time at this place. I was recommended. I sat downstairs. I am 70 and this a treat me and I love a good foot massage. But, it was not good. My legs were flat on the stool and basically it was a lower leg rub, but just the front, not the back of my legs which was 50 percent of the 1 hour treatment. There was no pressure, no technique, and no consistencies with left or right. She was small and young and her and the woman on reception were constantly involved in conversation which was not relaxing, I could not hear the music. I was really disappointed, I just felt I paid for a leg rub

It’s always a good local massage venue. I was using my health fund rebate for an hour remedial massage. The booking and checking in are never be an issue. Always smooth and fast with a cup of warm tea. Today I had a good massager which was using her powerful hands giving me some good pressures on the right points. Not all massagers are the same. Some aren’t giving the right pressures such too hard or too light. The ambiance is relaxing, clean and far from improper vibes. I’m always feeling safe and been looked after.

Went for a massage on Thursday payed $150 for 90 minutes was the worst massage I have ever had.. wasn’t even a massage the lady had no idea how to massage didn’t even give a full body massage. Never ever will I recommend this place. Also there English is shocking!!! Beware it’s a rip off.

I went to Dusita Thai Massage at least once a week for a Relaxation massage and then there have special cash promotion should be come between 10.00am-to midday . It is super relaxing, the therapists are always professional massage and know how to give a great, proper massage. I would recommend to anyone looking for a bit of relaxation. The tea (Beal Fruit Herbal Tea) & hot towel afterwards was delightful. Definitely recommend to others.

They are very good here! Very professional, great quality massages. They're very responsive to your needs - will be flexible firm or soft depending on your problem areas. Reasonably priced. Bring cash for discounts on certain packages. Beautiful, calm atmosphere. Hot towel and delicious tea after each session. Have been back many many times.

Best massage I’ve had so far! I’ve been to a few other places and I always ask for gentle pressure but I usually end up enduring the pain because I feel bad to keep asking to go softer. But this one was perfect the first time and I was left feeling so relaxed and in a good mood 😌 the staff were very professional, calm and gentle mannered which added to the relaxing environment. The complimentary tea was very nice too. This is definitely my regular go-to place now, thankyou so much 🙏

We recently celebrated my daughter’s 8th birthday at The Art Studio. It was a wonderful afternoon of painting, sharing food and enjoying beach views. Teachers were amazing and kept 14 kids engaged and provided simple instructions to complete step by step painting. The best part was that each child took a small memento from the party, which was their own canvas painting. We had kids from 5-11yo and all enjoyed it. Highly recommend it. Thank you Osnat and team!

My daughter had her 9th birthday at The Art Studio, where she chose to do the painting class with her friends. The teacher gave clear instructions and was very helpful. All the girls had a great time—a very easy, no-stress party in a great space with a fantastic view. Would highly recommend.

I still can’t believe how lucky I am to have found this beautiful corner of the world. Such serendipity. I’ve learnt so much and made so many friends. The classes are challenging, but never imposing and the talented teachers are always gentle and encouraging. I love the evening classes after work and the weekend workshops are always really special. I’ve been attending for over 2 years now and I’m still as enthusiastic as the day I started as a total beginner. Don’t ever think ‘I can’t paint’. Just come along, it’s quite surprising.

The Art Studio literally re-established my love for art after not painting for many years. The teachers are extremely welcoming and they cater appropriately to all skill sets - beginners, intermediate and experienced. I painted there for 2 years and now have my own set up at home, but I'll be back for sure to learn new techniques and skills to further my art journey. Special thank you to Osnat !
