Medieval castle with turreted towers dating from the 12th century, housing a wine museum.

A wonderful experience, beautiful castle and surroundings. Fantastic views from the different towers. An interesting museum. We were offered a small glas of the local wine after we had visited the castle. Lots of stairs
We travelled here the hot first Friday of May 2025. We found a parking space a few hundred m up through the vineyards that surround the beautiful castle, that was originally constructed during the 12 century and is owned by the city of Aigle since the beginning of the 18 hundreds. The alpine backdrop to the east and west is magnificent. Today, its main function is to house the wine museum. Besides, it's mostly used for administrative activities such as weddings. We had the chance to visit when a symphony orchestra was rehearsing. There was also an interesting exhibition of drawings and paintings by Géa Augsbourg, a local artist active during the early half of the 20th century. When you have finished your visit you are invited to a small glass of red or white and you can also buy bottles from various local wineries in the museum shop. Overall, a sympathetic visit.
Beautiful castle, amazing wedding or event venue. Very interesting to explore.
Interesting visit and experience, nice castle near the city centre. Beautiful surroundings. The tower climbs give a fantastic view on the vineyards surrounding the castle. The museum gives an interesting view on the history of the castle as well as on the wine activities in the region over the years. Finalizing your visit with a taste of white or red wine from the Chasselas grape. Quite some stairs to climb, bring your good condition.
This is a wonderfull castle dated from the 12 century ,surrounded by winery ,a former castle where knight of Aigle use to live. Restored in the 70's used from then until today as wine museum ,can also be used as event set for banquets and such . The surrounding is gorgeous ,on a sunny clear sky day ,the mountains surrounding and the winery look like something from a fairy tale i just wished the museum was open in the day I went to visit ,the access is great for anyone ,there is parking space and access for wheelchairs ,there are some stairs but nothing much . Such a pleasure to visit such a gorgeous place ,it's a must if you are looking for something to visit around !
Follow the postcard and you will find the best view!
Wonderful piece of history with many exhibits. Recommend a visit during the August Fête Médiévale. A must-see!
Wonderful experience. The label museum was very interesting, boasting a rare and international collection. The chateau is also home to art exhibitions. At the end of the visit a glass of wine from the vineyard is offered, as well as a non alcoholic option.

A must go with kids. All staff super nice. I went with my 7 yo and my 5 yo. The youngest had 3 different paths she could go with increasing level of difficulty. The oldest one additional path. The kids had so much fun! We went twice. The first time just before the summer vacations started for the kids in the region and the park was very quiet so the kids could enjoy the best. They went 2x each path. I believe for each ticket you can stay 2 or 3 hours. We left both times before the timing because my kids were exhausted already! You can buy snacks and beverages at the place. Easy to park.
Good fun. However, the information about trails availability for kids is very misleading on the website, and there's absolutely nothing to do for children below 4 years old.
Great place for kids, for birthday parties !
Well maintained with different levels for age and skill, plenty of shade for hot days. Plenty of places to rest and enjoy drinks and snacks. Highly recommended for all ages!
The best adventure park that I visited! After being in adventure parks in Austria, France and the Germany this is the best park that I visited. A lot of routes for any level from small kids to "commando" ninjas. The staff is very friendly and professional. Very recommended!
We had a fantastic time with our 5 yr - safe and fun! Thank you. Very helpful and friendly staff.
It's a place we love to visit every year the kids love it Amazing outdoor activities The only negative thing is the food get ur snake or food with you don't buy the frozen pizza Also if you don't drive I will advice to take a train to aigle and then uber to the parc It's a bit tricky and you can get easily lost
Nice facilities, many people

This garden was interesting for me by the presence of various musical sounds👌 It's not a big one but there you can spend time more than one hour. Enjoy
A lot to see and make. They have 3- 4 things, included in the price, like candle 🕯️ to give you good luck
Honestly, just not worth the visit. Not really maintained. Maybe it used to be better, I donno.
I didn't expect anything when I went there and was blown away by the size and the beauty of the garden !

A must play destination for avid golf enthusiasts. Golf staff, office staff & restaurant staff were very accommodating and helpful. Great set of rental clubs (Taylor Made). I unfortunately did not eat in the restaurant after the round but have read the great reviews. Bar tender was great to help with pre round beverages and easy on the eyes. Please know this is a private (semi private) course. Please be considerate of those who are allowing us tourists on the course. Golf carts were cool looking. Like race cars. Hit the switch under the seat to activate. And remember to clean cart at wash station post round. Reminder, we are borrowing these carts. Tee boxes were perfect. Fairways rolled super well and freshly mowed. Greens were fun and exact. Walk your line and they have many fun, sometimes, unsettling sloped putts. It took a front 9 of errors to turn the back 9 in one of my better rounds to date. Met another American in passing on course and we agreed… Tight course and accuracy is a must. Find your target out beyond and try and launch towards. Anything off will mostly catch a branch or tree lining the course throughout. Layups with accuracy was my motto back 9. Sorry to ramble but this was a gem course for this trip. Thank you Montreux Golf Club for your hospitality. 125 Year Anniversary coming in September only states the obvious that you are doing this right. Have fun here but please be mindful of a great course with much history. Tim Dennis St. Augustine, Florida Former home to the World Golf Hall of Fame.
Extremely nice people, Monique at the reception. Very well taken care off, always very clean and everything at the right place. Congratulations, very well done. Good success also in the future.
I’ve had the pleasure of playing Golf Club Montreux over the years, and it’s grown on me immensely. When I was a less experienced golfer, the course felt incredibly challenging — the mature, tree-lined fairways leave little room for error. But with time, I’ve come to truly appreciate its character and charm. The course is always in excellent condition and clearly well cared for. One downside is the placement of the driving range — balls often end up on holes 8 and 9, which can be distracting. Also, the clubhouse restaurant could use a bit of modernization to match the overall quality of the club. Still, a fantastic course with a lot of heart.
Great course and lovely staff doing there best for great competition.
Well... Just great. Many peaples say boryng... Well I am 14 HP. find difficult but challaged, condition perfect like theyr green. Just a great day. The reception lady!! Amazeeng! Helpful and a great welcome smail! Restaurant terrace! Can't go away without stop for the 19th hole. Thank you
Very nice track. Beautiful scenery!!!
The best pro shop I have seen. They gave me a brand new driver to checkout on the range😊. Course is good ,easy but the green weren't in good shape, guess this will improve as the weather warms up.Restaurant very good . Would strongly recommend a visit to this Golf course.
Great course with a good variety of holes in excellent condition especially concerning the long dry hot spell we are having

I regularly visit this beautiful, peaceful and inspiring place. Everything here is respecting nature and exudes imagination. Recycled industrial parts and driftwood from the lake have been arranged to make beautiful works of art. The kindness of the guardian of this little paradise, Gerard Bonnet, is touching. Take a little cash along to make a donation. The fresh mint tea is delicious!
Lovely hidden little place, free to enter with a box available for donations. Make sure you take some cash with you to donate some money to this wonderful garden, also tea and coffee are also available for the cost of a donation. Definitely worth a visit to see the homemade sculptures. We'll done Gerad sorry we didn't have any cash when we came along.
Beautiful, you have to see this place at the crack of Dawn
Absolutely magical place!

We booked an introductory class for 8 people and nothing could've prepared us for what we experienced. The instructor was very friendly, funny and incredibly knowledgeable. He inspired confidence in us and allowed us to move freely as he saw we were skilled enough. The infrastructure is great, the loan bikes are amazing and the experience was undescribable. The feeling of rolling on the embankment cannot be conveyed in words, it has to be experienced. I'd definitely recommend booking an introduction. You don't need to be an experienced cyclist, just be brave enough to carry your speed :)
If you’re into cycling—whether you’re a casual rider, a triathlete, or just love the sport—the UCI World Cycling Centre in Aigle is definitely worth a visit. We went hoping to get a glimpse of the Velodrome, and to our surprise, it was no problem walking in and checking it out. Parking was easy right in front of the building in the designated visitor area. The Velodrome itself is impressive—massive and incredibly dynamic once the cyclists get going. We were lucky enough to catch some athletes training, zooming around the track at speeds that were honestly thrilling to watch. One moment that stood out: a trainer on a motorbike pacing a cyclist—the coordination and intensity were just incredible. There’s also a small exhibit area with different types of racing bikes, from road to Olympic-level track bikes, and a merchandise corner with UCI gear. They offer intro classes and summer camps as well—on the day we visited, a group of students (looked like teens or young adults) were there for what seemed like a training camp for BMX bikers. We had hoped to grab a bite at the café on-site, but it was already closed before 2 p.m.—so do plan accordingly if you want to eat there. Honestly, even if you’re not super into cycling, it’s a fascinating stop. The structure itself is impressive, the atmosphere is sporty and welcoming, and you get a real sense of how much cycling culture lives in this part of Switzerland. For anyone who enjoys riding, races, or just exploring niche global sports centers, this place is a hidden gem.
I only walked around, as the "Le Velodrome Cafe" was already closed. But it was a great experience, incl the outdoor areas for BMX (Freestyle and PumpTrack). My next visit will include the indoor velodrome as well.
Great place, yet it is a shame this huge BMX park is not open to everyone. The new pump track is awesome; the best in the area.
excellent coffee. Pidock's bike in the museum is tiny. Shame we couldn't ride the track but the dates didn’t work for us.
I enjoy great le every year the open doors day, where I can learn more about the uci and try new bikes. This year there was an event to do a tour and then a bbq. Sadly I missed it.
We'll have yo come back and try that track!
What the difference between Israel premier Tech and Grazpom teams? The double standard is shameful and disgusting!

Really nice camping spot. If you're on foot you can walk from the closest town and it takes 30 minutes. It's isolated which means it's nice and peaceful. It has everything you would want- a restaurant, showers, washing area and even a grass beach where you can swim. Beautiful views. Good service. Only things I would change is having someone walk around at night to ensure nobody is playing music late at night as someone did this outside my tent. Also the shower water could go longer when you press the button. Overall, a great experience for a good price of 22 CHF (1 person, 1 tent)
Great stay here with a beautiful views over the lake. We took a short walk (around 30 mins) and that took us to nearest town. The campsite is lovely and quiet
Had a spot right on the lake and it was stunning. Restaurant was excellent. Toilets and showers always being cleaned and spotless. A special mention for the man on reception who gave us great tips where to go and directions and was by far the most helpful and friendly person we have met on our 7 weeks in Europe so far.
Beautiful camp site, very friendly hosts. Very flexible hosts. You have the alps on 3 sides and the lake Geneva on the 4th. Very good bicycle roads to villeneuve. Loved the stay here.
Very helpful when we needed a pitch on Easter Weekend.
Reception was amazing lady, very helpful and multi lingual. Helped us get to the festival with ease, hopefully she knows who's writing this (English man with the grey VW) wpyld defo recomend due to service and location
We stayed here last July and felt quite shocked to find such a ramshackle place in Switzerland. Firstly, the place is rammed with mobile homes of long-standing. This practice seemed certainly dangerous and proved so, when on the 7th July a frightening gas explosion led to a huge fire there in the middle of the night. The manager did not have sufficient fire-fighting equipment and himself suffered burns. The fire-brigde did get there in 25 minutes and put it out after 2 hours. Other points: We enjoy a good hike, luckily, as the nearest bus-stop is 40 minutes away in the local village, which has no inns or shops. Although the site is located on the lake, there is a sewage outlet and in rainy weather it is advised not to swim. The facilities on the site were generally below average. The shower block was 'municiple' and very tired. The on-site shop was open at odd times with a limited selection. There is a set-aside section for motorhomes / campervans but they are placed close together, so no privacy and the opportunity to enjoy your neighbours' music choices. Finally, we don't feel this site matches the others listed with Alan Rogers standards.
I went 3 month ago to ask an information about rent a place to build my own moblis home, they told me the camping it's full just leave us your email and we are going to put you in a waiting list, Well they don't even sent me a message of confirm that i'm in a list no explaination of waiting time, nothing of nothing You could just say we are full and we don't take anyone, dont let people wasting their time by leaving their data for nothing

We visited this beautiful church in Mai 2022. The church near to the Chateau d'Aigle and well worth a visit.
Evangelical Reformed church with a lot of history and beautiful stained-glass window. Right in the valley of grapes and vineyards. Visiting, reflecting, watching, learning, undoing, an entire journey of the mind and spirit. No matter what your belief is.
