Despite visiting many races across Europe, I had never visited Mugello. My son & I visited the famous Mugello for the full 3 days this year. We hired a motorbike in Florence & rode to the circuit (about 40mins). The roads to the circuit were great and clearly signposted. Amazingly, we found that we could park on the circuit roads or small car parks on the circuit for free. We found a great viewing only 4mins from our parking spot! From there, we could see >80% of the circuit & there was a large tv screen close by to watch the race, replays & positions. Facilities were superb & not too expensive compared to, say, Silverstone. The atmosphere, viewing, Facilities & entrance/exit using the motorbike were great even on the main race day (Sunday). Highly recommended & we will go again.
Great circuit, but is missing a museum and a caffè inside the circuit. With the story of this circuit is a must to have a museum.
5EUR to look at trackday event, walk around paddock, at any of the grand stands or the green areas... It was a fiver well spent. Moto trackday, but trucks were loaded with formula classics brought for a next event - some testing - got to see older Haas car too! haha
I spent the weekend at Mugello Circuit and had an amazing time. The track itself is legendary, fast, flowing, and absolutely thrilling to ride. Organization was top from start to finish, and the track marshals were outstanding: professional, alert, and always on point. Everything felt safe, well-coordinated, and smoothly managed. If you love motorsport, this place is a must. I’ll definitely be back.
Mugello is possibly the best track in the world! Excellent viewing, good sight lines, ease of access, friendly staff. General Admission is all around the track excluding stand areas - see the attached image. Hospitality in the Grandstand is first class - highly recommended. Spectator spectating is also available free of charge!!! Getting to and from the track during raceday is a frustration .... but 150,000 people keep doing it, so it can only be worthwhile!!
Amazing race track at an incredible location in the Tuscan hills. Easily accessible by car or train, top notch facilities, great viewing angles from the grandstands. Love Mugello!!
A fantastic racetrack in a beautiful setting. Very well maintained, clean facilities and everything you need. Will definitely be back for more action.
An absolutely stunning motorcycle track with fans to suit. I’m English though and through but I felt I was Italian for a day.

A beautiful place with a museum of knives that are traditionally made in Scarperia Di San Piero. We recommend you to feel the history here. Being in the area, you must visit this place.
I had the chance to visit Palazzo dei Vicari as one of the speakers at the TEDx Scarperia event, which takes place here every year. And honestly, it’s hard to describe how magical this place is until you step inside. The Palazzo is a historic jewel — elegant, atmospheric, and perfectly preserved — and it hosts the Museum of Cutting Tools, the famous Scarperia Knife Museum. It’s an extraordinary collection that reflects centuries of craftsmanship and tradition, and it’s one of the true treasures of the area. As a location for TEDx, the Palazzo was simply unforgettable. The atmosphere, the history in the walls, the professionalism and warmth of the local team… everything came together beautifully. I left with the feeling of having lived something truly special. Scarperia itself is a charming little town, small but full of character. It’s absolutely worth a visit — whether for a walk in the historic centre, for discovering its centuries-old knife-making tradition, or for buying one of the beautiful handcrafted knives the town is famous for. A wonderful experience, and a place I wholeheartedly recommend. Five stars, without hesitation.
I didn't visit the museum but the building and the internal space are really impressive. The full village of Scarperia deserves a planed visit, especially if you visit the nearby Mugello.
going up the bell tower is nice, but the museum is not that good, we were the only ones inside tho
A real interesting experience far from the usual touristy spots of Florence. Full of history such as Brunelleschi's first clockwork as well as a beautiful view of Mugello. Tickets 7€ for an adult. Included in the price is the museum of knives which Scarperia is famously known for.
Fascinating and interesting museum and a beautiful historic location. Enjoyed our visit here. Thank you!
Amazing Medici palace. Very well kept with frescoes and furniture. Highly recommended
Since "Scarperia e San Piero" is a member of the "I borghi più belli d’Italia", we probably expected too much. It's a beautiful little village but there are so many others and a lot are more charming and have more to offer.

Excellent museum. Run entirely by the kind efforts of volunteers. Fantastic historical archive with many, many articles of military and personal origins. A magnificent way to remember and commemorate all those who fought and lost their lives in the area. Highly recommended!
Great place to visit, the team are so welcoming and helpful. The collection is not one to be missed!
The best museum display wise that we have visited to study the effects if WWII in Italy. The guide was extremely helpful. The displays were well designed and thought provoking. A nice store with quality merchandise. There is a German cemetery nearby and two German bunkers that we got access to as part of our tour. The guide may be able to help you as well. Hiking trails all around. A great area to explore and learn!
This museum is a must see for anyone interested in the Second World War. Run by dedicated volunteers, many of them veterans themselves, this organization and museum have an impact much bigger than the size of the building would suggest from the outside. These amazing volunteers have a passion and expertise in WWII history and are a wealth of information. You will leave with a new appreciation for the battles fought here. If you have family that fought in the area of the Gothic Line in Italy in WWII, as I did, here you will find people with information about those units that can bring those events to life for you. The museum displays are well planned and executed. Most of the items are authentic, found or donated by veterans or their families. The maps, exquisite dioramas, and photos help to bring the past into sharper focus to help understand the events of that battle. Beyond the museum, the volunteers have marked trails and battlefields to allow you to navigate the route of the battle. Still other sites have been reconstructed to demonstrate the locations and conditions during the battle. The battlefield tours are highly recommended. If you have an interest in WWII history- Visit this museum. If you have a family connection to the Italian campaign in WWII- visit this museum. If you are touring norther Tuscany and want to learn more about the months when this beautiful area turned into a nightmarish battlefield- visit this museum. You will not regret it. While you are there, visit the gift shop area. There are books, artifacts, and other items available for purchase. Please consider visiting and supporting the great work of these dedicated individuals working to honor and preserve the history of all who fought here so long ago.
A real treasure box for military history buffs, who are interested in the Second World War and the Gothic line. Incredible items, all originals from the battlesides, near by. You can also book a bunker tour there. I spent 4 hours there. 3 parking lots for normal cars in front.
A fantastic little museum, the curator is knowledgable and passionate. Fascinating and interesting items that you don’t often see can be seen inside that have been found on the ground, all with persona story’s. Highly recommended.
The most accommodating and fantastic staff! Great museum too, with lots on display and well presented. Every history buff should definitely visit.
This was one of the largest collection of WWII objects I've ever seen in a small museum. A million thanks to Andrea Gatti for an engaging and educational tour. The objects and narrative touched on the war from the perspective of Italy, Germany, and America.

Best deal in Italy for golf. Highly reccomned the whole area
It's hard to believe this course was among the best in Italy just 5 years ago. I want to give one star for how bad the course has become, but bumped it up to two stars because the views are incredible, there is so much potential, and the staff was terrific. The greens have been neglected and are in terrible condition, disappointed because the speed is perfect but every putt is impacted by the countless dead spots. Many tee boxes need to be overhauled. The bunkers have too many small stones and are crusty from lack of care. Half the fairways are ok. It looks like significant overgrowth along the boundaries and water features was taken out recently, leaving lots and lots of empty space of dead plants. The cart path is destroyed. The resort appears essentially abandoned. The carts have great systems in them. The driving range is decent. The workers are nice but clearly understaffed, probably because too few guests. I wish them all the best in fixing the course.
We played Poggio Dei Medici today. I have very mixed feelings about the course. First the good. I love where the course is, the undulations, challenging shots, good greens, and nice views. It is clear that this is one of the best layouts in Italy. Now for the bad. The course is not being well maintained. The course is connected to what was a nice resort. But with COVID (or other reasons, not sure), everything other than the golf course is shut down. The person working the front desk (there isn't a pro shop) said that everything is for sale. The result of this is that the course is just barely maintained. The greens are in pretty good shape. They are a bit slow, but the grass is in good condition and they are mowed to a reasonable length. They could use some rolling to speed them up, but not bad. The fairways are also in ok shape. As is the rough. They need to be mowed more frequently but they are not bad. The bunkers are struggling. Some are better than others, but it is clear that they are not getting the attention that they require. We are visiting from the US so we had to rent clubs. The clubs that they have to rent are not great. We needed a few extra balls. All that they had were used balls. And the tees that they had were too short for a driver. We played on Monday, so there was no place to get food. We were told this so no problem, we brought our own. When we finished, they provided us with a towel for a much needed shower. We were abler to use their locker room. This was VERY nice! Last thing that I will say. The resort was very nice. The rooms have nice views. It is too bad that it is closed. I hope that someone buys the property and brings it back to the calibur that I believe it was in the past.

The services offered are of high quality, starting with the cart which has GPS, score cards and even... the radio. The clubhouse is also very nice, as are the changing rooms and showers. Average cost, but the quality of the services offered is above average. Definitely recommended and I hope to be able to return soon. Sicuramente consigliato e spero poterci tornare presto.

But the Poggio golf course has by far the most beautiful layout, which harmonizes so well with the surroundings and nature that we had to stop a few times during the round to enjoy the view over the course. Considering that the entire complex with a hotel and a very nice clubhouse is for sale, we found the care of the course to be more than very good! We very much hope that Poggio dei Medici will fall into good hands and that the beautiful golf course will be preserved. The fact that everything except the course is closed doesn't stop us from giving the golf course 5 stars! We'll be back!!!

A magic place in the middle of a wood called Bosco ai frati. They now opened up from 1June to 6 Nov 22 also an exhibition displaying a triptych depicting The raising of Lazarus which was originally here as donated by the Medici family to the friars of Bosco ai Frati until 1841 and now returned for the exhibition. There is also a wooden Christ sculpture attributed to Donatello. All together is such a peaceful place and worth stopping by to observe some ancient art pieces in its simplicity majesty surrounded by nature.

The church preserves a surprising wooden tabernacle, which one would expect to find at other latitudes. The rooms of the convent are very well kept and are rich in history. Among the elements of great interest are the chapel of San Bonaventura, the cenacle, the ancient kitchen, a Madonna with Child by Mariotto di Nardo and obviously the wooden crucifix by Donatello, a masterpiece, if possible enhanced even more by the location and well-thought-out lighting. The external loggia with the lawn in front is a small paradise. Entrance is free, with a free offering. Have you ever had an experience where you stop and think, “Is this a dream? Am I really here right now?” That’s exactly how our wine + oil tour and tasting at Castello del Trebbio felt! My mom and I were on a once-in-a-lifetime trip through Italy, and this was easily one of our favorite experiences. Our tour guide was both sweet and incredibly knowledgeable, the history of the estate was fascinating, and the wine and olive oil we sampled were truly top tier. As a bride, I couldn’t help but feel a little wistful, had I known about this place sooner, I would have loved to get married here! Thank you so much to everyone at Castello del Trebbio for creating such a magical experience. We can’t wait to return someday! (:
We were married at the Castello del Trebbio this past Spring. Our wedding was picture perfect. If you are looking to get married in the hills of Tuscany with incredible food, hospitality and attention to detail; you have your location. Our guests all stayed on the premises in individual villas and came together for wine tour, welcome, farewell dinner and our wedding. The grounds are absolutely breathtaking. Working with Alberto, the wedding coordinator made it so easy, this was easier than getting married in the United States. I will recommend this castle, winery, food and they hospitality to all.
A magical wedding stay at Castello del Trebbio! We had our dream wedding at Castello del Trebbio and stayed on the property with our guests for four unforgettable days. From the moment we arrived, we felt incredibly welcomed. The wine tasting and castle tour were amazing, and the food was absolutely delicious! Our wedding day went perfectly – even better than we had hoped for. The team was professional, warm, and made everything feel effortless. The service, setting, and people made this experience truly magical. We wholeheartedly recommend Castello del Trebbio to anyone planning a destination wedding or looking for a unique and memorable place to celebrate. And the wine was absolutely incredible – a true highlight for us and our guests!
From the moment we spoke to Alberto, we knew we were in safe hands. He is the most kind, helpful and organised person you could wish to plan your wedding with and feels like a true friend. Everything about Castello del Trebbio is perfect for your dream Tuscan wedding, from the incredible views, situated in the heart of a working vineyard and olive grove to the delicious food and amazing staff, you could not wish for a better place to get married. All of our friends and family were overwhelmed with the occasion, which took place over 3 days, all in different areas of the castle. It was an unforgettable experience that we cannot recommend enough.
Our experience at Castello Del Trebbio was unforgettable. We had around 60 of our closest friends and family from the United States come and stay for 3 nights. The first night we had an amazing welcome tour of the castle and winery with a delicious buffet dinner, then we had a pizza and gelato party the next night, then our wedding on the last night! Alberto accommodated every request we had in a timely manner which is honestly one of the main reasons we decided to have our wedding here - he gave you peace of mind trying to plan a wedding when halfway across the world. Once you arrive he makes sure everything is in order and the kitchen staff was also great - Juliana was a great bartender at our after party! We look forward to returning to Castello del Trebbio.
As a U.S.-based bride dreaming of a destination wedding in Florence, I stumbled upon Castello del Trebbio through a random Google search and Wedding Wire. Like many, I was initially skeptical of the overwhelmingly positive reviews, but every site for years echoed the same sentiment: Castello del Trebbio is the perfect wedding venue, and Alberto is the magician who makes it all happen. Based solely on these glowing reviews and one phone call with Alberto, we took a leap of faith and booked our wedding without ever seeing the venue in person. It was, without a doubt, the best decision we ever made. Working with Alberto and his recommended vendors was an absolute dream. My initial emails to Alberto quickly escalated to daily exchanges. He was always prompt, responsive, kind, knowledgeable, and caring. His emails truly became the highlight of my wedding planning process, and I'll miss our frequent correspondence. In March, just 90 days before our wedding, my fiancé and I visited the castle and met Alberto. To say it took our breath away is an understatement. The rolling hills and breathtaking landscape were even more stunning than the photos conveyed. The property's buildings are immaculately maintained, beautifully modernized while retaining their original charm. We were particularly impressed to see three kitchens undergoing modern renovations during our visit. Meeting Alberto in person was like reuniting with a best friend. He is warm, inviting, funny, and incredibly smart, which only strengthened our working relationship. He gave us an extensive tour, proactively answered all our questions, and completely put us at ease. Dinner at the on-site restaurant, Sosta del Gusto, was a highlight. The food and the team (especially Juliana!) were amazing. We savored every bite of the 10 courses we sampled and are already planning a return trip. We left with happy tears, eagerly anticipating our wedding day. Our return in June was everything we'd imagined, despite it being the hottest day on record in Tuscany. Our guests were absolutely blown away by the property, amenities, food, tours, and the exceptional team. Many even asked Alberto for fashion tips and wished to be his friend forever! Our weekend began with a castle tour and dinner cooked in the family kitchen. The wedding day itself was seamless. Even when our photographer canceled 24 hours before the ceremony, the team handled it with incredible calm and grace. They cleverly adjusted the dinner time to give us more shade and continuously offered suggestions to keep the night flowing smoothly in the heat. The next day, many guests enjoyed a pasta-making class with Chef Gerry, raving about how much fun they had. We concluded the weekend with a delicious pizza and lasagna dinner, complemented by a gelato truck – the perfect end to a perfect celebration. I could go on and on about the incredible team at Castello del Trebbio and my admiration for Alberto. Please, believe the reviews. This place is as magical, wonderful, and inviting as everyone says it is. I wish you all a wedding as happy as ours!
Went for a friends wedding and my god this was the best part of our trip. The WINE (the sparkling rose) was so good and the ambiance. We are so grateful we were able to be a part and Alberto was such a joy and the dog was my favorite.
If you have found this venue through Google or whatever way you searched, your wedding venue search is done. My wife and I could not dream of a better wedding. Alberto is a super star and will make everything you want to come to life. He is so kind and truly made the entire process so smooth that my wife and I did not have the classic planning with stress. We honestly miss planning with him! Then you will meet the restaurant crew: Mauricio, Juliana, and Sabrina. Not only will they make you incredible food but they will make sure your guests have the best time. They are the warmest people with the most gracious hosting style and will deliver a magical three days to your entire guest list. Now back to Alberto, from the moment you start planning with him you will feel at ease. Every question you could possibly have will be answered swiftly and trust me he is right. His glowing personality and generosity make the whole experience smooth. He also is amazing at sourcing other solutions you might need. He set up all our transportation and made sure we had some lunch catering for those staying on property. Now for the venue itself, how can you be anything less than in love when you gaze out on the mountains of Tuscany and rows upon rows of vineyard, knowing that's the wine you will drink all weekend. Each villa is beautiful and offers its own story and experience. Not to mention you are going to be getting married in a literal castel. There is no review that could put accurately into words the beauty of this venue and the beauty of the hospitality the team brings to it. Unfortunately, I do not have photos to add to this review but that is because I had so much fun and love in the moment with my wife and all our loved ones around us that I turned my phone off for days and just existed with them as we threw the best party we could have ever dreamed of. Truly, if you want a venue that will exceed your expectations, far exceed the cost for value, and the hardest goodbyes at the end will be the Castello team, then you have found your venue.

(Translated by Google) A wonderful discovery, which we found ourselves visiting. The museum is only open at certain times of the week, but by calling the number in front of the museum, the volunteers are very available to open the doors at other times or by making an appointment. Museum absolutely worth seeing if you are in Mugello. It all starts with Leprino, the craftsman and artist who, over many years, has created these sculptures, movable and otherwise, of papier-mâché, wood, metal, recycled materials, etc. which depict what was his time and the traditions of the place. Shopkeepers, winemakers, shepherds, barbers, seamstresses, carpenters, etc. in a continuous and enchanting movement. The beautiful thing, in addition to seeing all the boxes and the various characters move independently, is the story behind the construction of these figures, how Leprino used recycled materials, motors from obsolete devices and skilfully knew how to use them making the figures move through strange arquebuses! There is also a small vintage toy museum at the entrance, very special things indeed! The ticket consists of a small donation from visitors. I highly recommend the visit, it's worth it and you won't regret it!
A wonderful little museum with very friendly ladies at the entrance!

(Translated by Google) A truly tasteful showroom, excellent quality products. You enter and everywhere you look you notice the passion, the attention to detail; breathe in the history of the art of cutlery, and experience first-hand the wisdom and professionalism. I have had Scarperia products for over 40 years and I must confirm that today Saladini is truly the first point of reference for this ancient "craft" in Mugello in terms of design, materials and care of the products. (Original) Uno show room veramente di gusto, prodotti di qualità eccelsa. (Translated by Google) Beautiful church located in the heart of Mugello, of which it is possible to immediately identify and appreciate the Romanesque style, which is also the same that distinguishes the majority of the churches in this area, which allows us to understand the reference period regarding the origins of the parish church, the Middle Ages, which however is interpenetrated with typically late Renaissance characteristics, especially with regard to some paintings that we can admire inside the church: particular reference goes to the Assumption, located along the left side of the church, characterized by a classic and varied color scheme in relation to the clothes of the characters represented, in contrast with the colors of the sky which refer to the mannerist movement, so much so that the work should in fact date back, according to some sources, to around the middle of the sixteenth century, therefore an advanced phase of the Renaissance, when Mannerism had taken over.

(Translated by Google) Beautiful church in a small village that I got to know because of a truly spectacular tortello festival. Search on the internet to find out when it is done and go early, at 7.00 pm because otherwise you will find a good queue. The festival is famous because the local old ladies start making tortelli by hand in the morning and sell them served in the evening until they run out. Passing by there I entered the church and was able to observe its beauty.

Great place to try some great wines. Booked a wine tasting for 2 with a quick easy phone call.
An informative and friendly, private wine tasting - all it took was one phone call and we were greeted with exquisite wines and selection of local cheese and cured meat.
I really enjoyed the tour of the vineyard. Alesio was a fantastic host with so much enthusiasm for the land, the vines, his role in producing a top quality product. I have a huge admiration for Alesio and the role he plays in his wine.
