The Broadway Theatre is an awesome place. Went there last night for Nigerian Comedian Seyilaw's Live in London and I had so much fun. I like how simple the place looks yet so beautiful. I recommend more shows and events should be done here.
There is not a lot of parking available but once inside, the theatre is cosy but comfortable. That is, unless your seats are on either of the balconies at opposite ends of the stage (shown better in the photo attached). If you're unlucky enough to have the balcony seats, bring a cushion to ease the back pain and be prepared to watch a show with a pillar in the way. My visit with these seats at the back of the auditorium was very pleasant and I enjoyed the show immensely. For reference, this is the view from row U.
I visited The Broadway Theatre {June 2019} to see a production of "Sherlock Holmes & the Sign of Four "which was an excellent production . A cast of just 5 playing all of the parts, all instruments, with an imaginative set and just a wonderful production by The Blackeyed Theatre. I'd highly recommend it as they are touring this production. The venue is well presented, with good legroom for seating. I was H11 and had a perfect, unobstructed view plus seats either side of me empty so I could spread out. Being a matinee there were many elderly scooter users at the front so a lot of shuffling and moving about during the production which shouldn't really happen nor should the woman taking a call during the first half which was unfair on the rest of us. I feel that staff should be in the auditorium as with West End productions as the public clearly need to be removed when disturbing others. I was pleased to get the flier you see as Anita the assistant I asked for a flier gave me this one from the reception pin board which I was most grateful to have. Toilets were clean, bright and plentiful so no complains there and there was a bar / cafe but by 4pm there was no dairy free milk for a cuppa (they'd run out, which I can understand) so I was unable to stop for tea and cake as planned. I got here via Barking Overgound Line from Walthamstow Queens Road Station though the District and various trains also service this station. I caught a black cab to get to the venue which was £5.40, as I was pressed for time (TfL gave the wrong directions getting me off at Woodgrange Park the stop before Barking hence why I was pressed for time) but it's only a 10 minute walk through the marketplace to get to the theatre, so very close. I will certainly be back for other productions.
Great experience and wonderful Christmas 🎄 Panto 2021, Rapunzel. Really good laugh 😃, cast 🎭 were really into it. Shout outs to Betty, Louie and Rapunzel who has some lungs on her 😇. Though everyone played there roles tremendously. Well kept building, quick entry, seats were surprisingly comfortable and spaced well. Easy parking 🚗 at Asda or Car Park opposite. Well worth the ticket 🎫 price.
Still can't believe our luck. Got tickets to see Lady Blackbird at the Broadway, Barking. She was stunning. Excellent new facility.
Just had my vaccine here. Nice place. I didn't realise they are offering the free parking for 1 hour. I might drive next time.
Had a great time watching Rapunzel. Both the cast and the pantomime were very entertaining and engaging too. The theatre was also clean and easily accessible. Will be looking out for future events!
Spent an amazing night here watching bye bye baby frankie valli tribute night by the end everyone was up singing and dancing staff very friendly and helpful

I’ve been a member for eight months, and it’s truly a fantastic community space! The recent gym refurbishment is impressive, and the new machines are excellent. The classes are great too! However, it’s the staff who make the real difference! Huge shoutout to the Front Office, Pool Team, Gym, and Spa—your dedication, service and warm energy is outstanding! The list of names is too long, but you know who you are 👏🏽❤️ thank you 🥰 Of course, there’s always room for improvement in certain areas and processes. The center is definitely moving in the right direction, and with a little extra care at all levels—including from us as members—it could be even better!
I would strongly advise against visiting this spa. The level of cleanliness is beyond unacceptable—it’s a serious health and safety hazard. The steam rooms are absolutely filthy. Visible mould is covering the walls and the ceiling. The smell of damp and mildew is overwhelming, and the lack of hygiene is impossible to ignore. It’s clear that the place is never properly cleaned, which is shocking for a facility that people visit for relaxation and wellness. However, the absolute worst part was the jacuzzi. I couldn’t even bring myself to use it. The water looked disgusting—murky, unclean, and clearly not maintained. It was obvious that it hadn’t been changed or cleaned in who knows how long. The thought of stepping into that water was enough to make me walk away. This isn’t just an unpleasant experience—it’s dangerous. Unfortunately, I am now unwell after visiting, which only confirms my worst fears about the hygiene standards here. It’s clear that these facilities are not properly maintained, and the lack of basic cleaning is shocking. This could be easily fixed with proper sanitation and regular maintenance, but clearly, cleanliness is not a priority. I paid for a service I couldn’t even use due to how disgusting it was. Until this place undergoes a complete overhaul, I strongly advise avoiding it unless you want to risk your health and waste your money. Absolutely unacceptable.
I’ve been using my local authority gym for over 15 years, and I was pleasantly surprised a few days ago when I had an issue with my membership. Venus was extremely helpful and polite in handling my enquiry. She went above and beyond to resolve the issue efficiently, making the process smooth and stress-free. I highly recommend seeing her if you have any membership concerns or need to renew—she’s probably the most helpful staff member I’ve ever encountered at the center. An absolute pleasure to deal with! Thank you, Venus."
Simple communication is impossible. They had a holiday from swimming classes but did not tell parents by email or phone and instead had slips of paper at reception. Another time they cancelled a class and claimed to have called me when they did not. We had no idea so came for the first week. When trying to sign my son up for his lessons (as the closest one around) I have called a total of 10 times over 2 days. No answer to the call. The one time I did get through (in the initial call) the woman on the phone clearly didn’t know how to set up the lessons over the phone (which is what I did with my daughter) and told me to do so online but the online form does not allow me to complete the payment and asks me to contact the centre. And they simply do not answer the phone. It’s like they see my number and chose to ignore the call. Even at 10am on a Monday morning when it is said to be very quiet. I think it’s a sign not to bother with his membership. My daughter hasn’t learnt to swim for a full year of lessons anyway. May be time to drive out further for somewhere better.
Avoid this place if you expect fairness, respect, or a genuinely safe space for women. The fitness manager, James, fully supports horrible behaviour from staff. My complaint was dismissed without real action and has been ignored. This company refuses to hold staff accountable and instead deflects and ignores concerns. If you're considering women’s-only swimming, don’t bother. Men, staff and from the public can freely walk into the communal changing rooms during designated women’s-only hours, completely disregarding the purpose of the session and space. For the high prices they charge, you’re not getting quality facilities or a respectful environment. There are cheaper and far better alternatives where you won’t have to deal with poor management, lack of accountability, and staff behavior that clearly isn’t a concern to senior leadership. If you can, spend your money elsewhere.
I’ve never seen such a dirty changing room in my Life. The showers seem like they haven’t been washed in years felt so gross taking a shower with stains and dirt. Found a used tampon in the changing rooms which someone was nice enough to leave behind. Staff don’t seem to clean in between sessions. Pool needs to be cleaned lots of debris. Not enough key wrist bands for lockers Disappointing!
This place is hazardous, very dirty and reeks and i think it needs to be reported to health and safety(I definitely will). Children are definitely going to fall sick from being in that place. How can the whole changing area consistently smell of poo and urine. Aside that, the front staff are the definition of rude, passive aggressive and unprofessional, it’s like a jungle with no rules. Zero customer service they never respond to enquires.
POOL PARTY - Abbey Leisure Centre was the only pool within 40 miles of me which still offered parties and didn't use the "Covid excuse" that everything's still on hold. All the staff were great and very friendly especially the assistant manager, Amelia, who really went above and beyond getting us information and arranging everything. They were a little un-organised as we were supposed to be on the water for 4 but they didn't start blowing the inflatable up until then and then had to get 20 kids life jackets on. If your interested, plan to be ready poolside 30 minutes before so the staff can get everyone ready. We lost a good 20 mins this way. The staff allowed us to use two group changing rooms for the boys and girls to get changed which had secure locks to keep everyone's belongings safe. They also accommodated an amazing sized studio upstairs which was perfect to host a birthday party. I arranged two ping-pong tables to show size (these were in the room already and they allowed us to use) and even then it was still huge. They also allowed us to use their sound system which had a quality sound with great bass and had already arranged tables and chairs out for us beforehand. Be warned however, the viewing area upstairs in the swimming pool is unbearably hot so wear light clothing! Everywhere else is nice and cool.

I recently experienced the Gallery at Showcase Cinema de Lux and was thoroughly impressed. The reclining chairs provided exceptional comfort, and the Dolby Atmos sound system delivered immersive audio quality. The in-seat ordering service was convenient, allowing me to enjoy a variety of food and beverages without leaving my seat. The complimentary welcome drink and refillable popcorn were delightful additions. The bar and seating areas were well-designed, creating a luxurious and inviting atmosphere. Overall, the Gallery offers a premium cinema experience that enhances movie-going to a new level.
Love it! As per, staff are friendly , there's 1 guy in particular who works at the ticket area who is always super helpful and chatty! Especially to my SEN son which just made us feel at ease and comfortable. He offered my son a poster for the movie we were going to see and is always helpful every time we've visited! Thank you 😇 cinema is kept clean despite how busy it is, snacks are good and refills on drinks are well worth it! Lovely facilities including toilets on site.
I really enjoyed our visit! The staff was genuinely welcoming and attentive, especially the friendly guy at the ticket counter who was always happy to help and chat. He made us feel comfortable, He even gave my friend a poster for the movie we were about to see, and he's consistently helpful whenever we visit the cinema!
I took my daughter to the cinema in February 2024 to watch the Bob Marley One Love movie, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience, especially as it was her first time there. The atmosphere was very welcoming and relaxing. The screen was pristine, the sound quality was great, and the comfortable seating made for a truly immersive and enjoyable viewing. Seeing my daughter's eyes light up with wonder was priceless. I can truly say Bluewater cinema created a magical experience for her, and we look forward to going back.
My friend and I came yesterday 10th November to see the 10.30 film Choral arrived early to give us time to mess about on a computer on the wall as last time we found it very difficult. On arrival at 10.00am the shutter was down, we waited other people also came but the shutter remained closed. We knew we would have to mess about to get our tickets therefore keeping other people waiting. We then decided to go. Why there are not peopled at the desks to give us our tickets, who ever thought this method was good I do not know, it has put us from coming to the cinema, I was told you can book it online with a £2.00 admin charge, what a racket we are doing the admin so we should get discount. VERY VERY DISAPOINTED.
Came here for an event - the seats were really comfortable and the space between rows was great, I couldn’t hear or see any other rows. The only downside was during quieter moments of the movie you could hear the screening next door.
Lovely cinema, great reclining seats and free parking.
The cinema it's self is great, not particularly busy. The tickets for an adult & Child was £22.00, so with the cost of living at the moment, it is expensive. 1 medium popcorn & a small cup of chocolate covered popcorn, 2 drinks were £21.00. Therefore it was an expensive treat.

St Margaret's Parish Church in Barking is a beautiful and historic place of worship with stunning architecture and a peaceful atmosphere. The stained glass windows and rich history make it worth a visit. A welcoming community and a great spot for reflection.
This historical place is built in 1895. I visited here on a weekend to celebrate Holi festival of colours celebrated by Hindu community. This sight is a notable historical place with ancient graves and has survived world war. Place is beautiful. Just sharing a wall with big garden. Quiet and nice place. Must visit for people looking for peace.
I visited this historical location. This place was vast, with numerous graves. The building was standing with all the modern changes surrounding it. Plate stated facts about the records, but it was not clear to read the information. Care of the gardens was needed in some places in this location.
Centuries-old parish church of St. Margaret of Antioch Virgin and Martyr - a Grade I Listed Building dating back to 1215 - is standing tall within the ground of the historic Barking Abbey under the canopies of trees and flanked by the Abbey Ruins, Graveyards and Open Space! It is one of the greatest historic heritage attractions of this East End Area along with the Barking Abbey Ruins! Barking Abbey Ruins is the ruins of the former royal monastery established in 666 AD and only surviving building after it was demolished in 1541 AD is the Curfew Tower (Grade II Listed Building) and adjacent St Margaret's Church! From the onset, it does not seem that the Church and Ruins are holding the stories & secrets of eras for over many many centuries in the plain sight! This makes Barking Abbey and surroundings an exciting opportunity discovering stunning heritage, historical facts, importance, hidden facts - new & old, and much more! Some historical facts - William the Conqueror stayed at the Barking Abbey while the White Tower of the Tower of London was being built. Famous explorer Captain James Cook got married here at the Barking Abbey! And to a huge surprise, the walls at the Ruins are there to showcase the original foundations as the original foundations are buried deep under the surface! Who knew that there is a sculpture called "Blocks of London Bridge" by Dutch artist and sculptor Joost Van Santen located in plain sight insignificantly! These two blocks of the foundation of the demolished old London Bridge - the one sold & reconstructed at Lake Havasu City, Arizona, USA. Many visitors may have a sit down, take rest on these blocks without realising that these are of old London Bridge 🌉! The parish church of St. Margaret of Antioch Virgin and Martyr is commonly known as Barking Abbey Church. It has been described as having been one of the most important religious institution in the country being the centre of religious worship, education, and community for centuries since its establishment going through the periods of unrest, the Black Death, the Reformation, the Great Plague, the Civil War, industrialisation, and two World Wars! It continues to be the hub of church, community, educational, and religious activities. Some of the key facilities of the church are St Margaret’s Café, St Margaret’s Centre and St Margaret’s Church! St Margaret’s Café is open to public from 11am to 2pm every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday serving a variety of reasonably priced meals, snacks and homemade cakes. St Margaret’s Centre and St Margaret’s Church also provide facilities for weddings, baptism, and funerals! It is worth joining a paid guided tour organised by experienced guide learning about the historic facts, hidden artifacts of this centuries-old heritage site! The Clock Tower with clock on each side can be seen from distance and is displaying the time correctly! Barking Abbey has very good transport links including bus, train and national rails. There are street parking including Accessible Disabled ♿ 🅿 available along with ASDA Car Park and Bobby Moore Way Car Park. Some other key attractions of the area is the Barking Town, Market Place, River Roding, Barking Town Conservation Area, Barking Town Hall, Barking Folly Sculpture, and recently installed Barking Heritage Trail! Valence House Museum has a section full of Barking Abbey history, heritage and artifacts! It is free to visit! It is a must visit museum for everyone of all ages! Barking Abbey Church, Open Space, Parklands, Abbey Ruins, St. Margaret’s Centre are fully accessible! However, please be mindful of the surface, different areas because of the centuries-old landscape and follow the Signages for accessible entrances to the church and Abbey Ruins!
Came here as part of a school trip. Definitely a national treasure worth visiting. Pack full of historical facts, sites, paintings, artefacts, tombs and tomb stones of figures like Captain Cook and Elizabeth Fry along with their various legacies, in addition to being a place of worship on Sundays. Amazing to see the ceiling structures still stood there since being built in 1215.
Very old church with lots of history and even better when have access all areas
It's remarkable how it still stands today. Seeing the wars come and go. It went through ww1 and  ww2 standing in the midst of all the turbulence. Containing all the memories, however painful and cherished of life events.
Looks amazing, I want to go here to see tombs of Edward Smith Biggs, my gr x 3/4 uncle. His nephew, Lewis James Biggs and his daughter (my gr. gr grandmother) Catherine Biggs Harpour/Innes were of Emmetts, NT., nr Sevenoaks, (nr Chartwell) Kent. Lots of info to research. I have vey fond memories of this lovely church. Back in the early 1970's, long before the internal construction work, both myself and my brother were in the choir and our choir master & Organist was Eddie "Skip" Jones. We'd have choir practice one night a week and would sing at the Sunday evening service. The occasional weddings we attended were always the best, because the choir boy's would get get paid 10p each!
Priest Chris Bolster made the service welcoming. Really appreciate everything he provided for mum's service. Thank you
I love St Patrick’s. It is such a lovely place to visit for Sunday service. The people are really friendly and it's a good environment for children.
Great welcome on Open House Saturday 21/9/2019. Special thanks to Fred for detailed account of its construction and refurbishment.

Nice big park and very clean. Perfect for dog walking or just relaxing by the water. The cafe has good coffee and dog friendly. I arrived in the morning, so the baked goods were unfortunately still frozen 🥲 Tennis courts and unicorn boats are also available 🦄
A pleasant park with even pleasant(er) squirrels. Nice size and ambiance. Charming flower gardens and disused miniature railway tracks. The only caveat is that the water park looks lifeless and that there is a reasonable amount of litter, but the former was closed so I will let them off for that one! Plus, Barking Park features the only unicorn ‘lake’ in the United Kingdom, so worth the visit just for that novelty!
Barking Park is a charming and vibrant place that offers a delightful escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. The addition of the fun fair only enhances the experience. The park itself is a serene oasis with lush greenery, a serene lake, and well-maintained paths. It's a perfect spot for a leisurely stroll, a picnic with friends and family, or simply basking in nature. The playgrounds and sports facilities make it a fantastic destination for kids and sports enthusiasts alike. Now, let's talk about the fun fair! It adds an exciting and lively dimension to the park. With its colorful rides, game stalls, and mouth-watering food options, it's a hit with people of all ages. Whether you're a thrill-seeker eager to ride the roller coasters or simply looking for some cotton candy, there's something for everyone. The atmosphere during the fun fair is electric, especially in the evenings when the lights and music create a festive ambiance. It's a wonderful place for family outings or even a romantic date night. However, like all fun fairs, it's essential to keep an eye on safety, especially if you have children. Overall, Barking Park and its fun fair make for a fantastic day out, offering a blend of relaxation and excitement that's hard to beat.
Nice park, was there for a festival. Unfortunately the weather was sort of terrible. But beautiful spot nonetheless. Some very old gorgeous trees!!!
A very quiet place for a morning and evening walk. I visited there a lot of times and at different times of the day. Never got disappointed.
It’s so good place to walk and meditate. So peaceful. And there a kids play ground as well.
The best memories as usual we’ve had since 2022. And the last visit was on June 2025 again . The kids love the place.
Very nice family park, I come here quite often with family and friends. Has parking available and other activities such as Padal boats, skateboarding, basketball, tennis and a splash park It also has a lake with swans and ducks but lake is generally not clean which is the only reason I’m giving this place 4 stars.

This was genuinely one of the best roast dinners I’ve ever had. The service was excellent, the atmosphere warm and welcoming, and the roast itself was absolutely divine. We’re so glad we added the pigs in blankets and cauliflower cheese as sides—they really took the meal to the next level. The portion sizes were generous too. We left feeling full, satisfied, and genuinely happy.
After visiting the Columbia Street Flower market, we had a hankering for a Sunday roast and, voila, found the Royal Oak. There were several options for Sunday roast and we had three if them - all tasty and filling. The service was fairly prompt, the food hot, the drinks enjoyable. If you’re in the area, especially on a Sunday, give it a try.
Amisha was so attentive and amazing as our server! We had a roast lunch for a group of friends and it was delicious. Highly recommend.
An almost perfect Truman pub that has been updated without destroying the interior. I sometimes wonder if Truman's owned the factory that turned out the wood panelling that used to cover the walls of their pubs. And it's good to see the Royal Oak still has that panelling. Nice beer garden so we stopped for a couple of cooling pints and a few rays. Friendly service. Reasonable prices. Pretty empty on a Tuesday afternoon but so was the rest of Columbia Road. Enjoyed it.
Made our reservations much earlier, but didn’t give us a proper table for 5 pax. Ordered Sunday roast - pork belly , lamb and roast chicken. The lamb was a disappointment. The service was a disappointment too.
My wife and I had our wedding reception here. We had reached out to John and his team ahead of time to reserve an area and we cannot thank the staff enough for an absolutely brilliant night. Everyone there is friendly and welcoming both behind the bar and at the door. The atmosphere there is great too and we already looking forward to our next visit.
Served by the lovely Glacé & Henry, Amazing atmosphere, insane food and attentive service 🙌🏼 would 100% recommend.
We went there for the Sunday roast and it was so great! The food, the environment, the service : everything was so enjoyable and nice! We liked it very much and already plan to come back next time we visit London! Thank you to the staff for this great moment. Note: we recommend taking a reservation as we do as Sunday seems a really busy day.

Title: A Luxurious Escape: Exquisite Attention to Detail Nestled in the heart of Barking, my recent experience at Sai Romyen was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment I stepped through the door, I was enveloped in a sense of serenity that set the tone for what was to come. The massage I received was not just a treatment; it was a journey into relaxation and rejuvenation. The therapist's Sai's attention to detail was impeccable, from the gentle pressure of their fingertips to the soothing ambiance of the room. Every stroke was expertly executed, melting away tension and leaving me in a state of blissful surrender. What truly set this experience apart was the meticulous care given to every aspect of the massage. From the selection of premium oils to the strategic placement of warm towels, every element was thoughtfully considered to enhance the overall experience. But it wasn't just the technical skill that impressed me; it was the genuine care and compassion shown by the therapist. They took the time to understand my needs and preferences, ensuring that every moment of the massage was tailored to perfection. In the end, I emerged from my session feeling not just relaxed, but utterly transformed. My muscles were loose, my mind was clear, and my spirit was uplifted. If you're seeking a massage experience that goes above and beyond, look no further. It's a true oasis of indulgence, where attention to detail reigns supreme.
After lot of negative reviews I became little afraid and finally made my decision to visit the Sai Romyen Massage. To my surprise it was a good thai massage with proper nody stretches my Therapist "AM" was superb with her stretch and pressure.I really find my body relax after wonderful massage for 1 hour🙂
This place is a hit and miss. Sometimes they give you good massage sometime poke their elbows in your back and cause more pain. Also keep an eye on your time they like to take the money first then try eating away what ever they can from the 1 1/2 hrs. The good massage therapist have left. The last one I had look like she just woke up or smoke some Thai weed looked stoned kept yawing and poking her elbows like she wanted me to be in pain. There are better ones out there
I had an incredible experience at this Thai massage service! The staff was so understanding and attentive to my pain points. They provided gentle care and made me feel well taken care of. I'm a regular here and SAI always looks after us so well. Highly recommend!
An absolute hidden gem. Accidental find when scrolling through treatwell, didn't realise I pass this place daily. No frills or bells and whistles, just a good quality Thai massage akin to what you would find in Thailand. Expect to be deep stretched and soothingly relaxed in one. I feel much better for my upcoming half marathon because of this treatment. I will be back soon.
Really good massage, went with partner. I had the main lady who gave excellent tips on health and well being. She was able to navigate my sore areas. Been here twice now. Defo recommend.
Would give more than five if I could. Absolutely amazing. Would recommend to everyone. I wouldn’t go anywhere else for a massage. Highly recommend Pin. She’s so lovely. All the girls are lovely but Pin is the lady I go to every time. Thank you for doing an amazing job and making my aches and pains go. See you soon xx
I stumbled upon this place while searching for a massage therapist near me to help with my shoulder pain. I'm so glad that I did! Pin was my massage therapist and she was fantastic. She was very attentive to my pain points and used various techniques to work out the knots and tension in my shoulder muscles. The results were incredible - my pain reduced by 95%! I was very impressed with the level of service and care that I received from Pin and this location, and would highly recommend them to anyone in need of a great massage therapist. I'm definitely planning on returning for future appointments!"

My gratitude to Father Paul for taking the time to listen during a time of personal spiritual reflection in my life.
I recently attended the Catholic Church of Saint Mary and Ethelburga, and I must say it was a spiritually enriching experience. The church's commitment to preserving Latin liturgy is commendable. The sense of tradition and reverence in the services is deeply moving. The community here is warm and welcoming, making it feel like a spiritual home. Overall, a wonderful place for worship and reflection.
Unfortunately I couldn't hear the Rev Father despite sitting right at the very front.
I worshipped on Esther's Sunday it was very spiritual and I love it. Just wanted to ask if there's First and Second mass every Sunday and their time.
Excellent family friendly place to visit and worship GOD.
A peaceful place to sit and meditate in silent prayer.... Holy mass timings from 10am to 11am and from 12 noon to 1pm on Sundays...
Very beautiful church. A peaceful place to worship our Lord and Saviour.
