Amazing value for so much! You essentially pay an entrance fee, €20 per person for our family to have a green bracelet, governed by the height of the people in your group; and then off you go. You can go on as many routes as you like. No limit to the number of times. Great food and drink on offer, although we took a picnic. The staff are super helpful. We had a 10 and 8 year old and they zipped round courses 1-6 very happily and spent most of the time waiting for dad to catch up! Set in stunning woodland as part of a much wider complex with loads to do. Easily a full day could be enjoyed with the high ropes and other actives on offer surrounding the lake.
A really great place to spend a couple of hours. Very nice, welcoming team. The tree routes go from easy to very hard and everything in between.
The best park of this type I have been to. Great for all ages, lots of routes the kids loved it.
Large complex, beautifully situated in a wooded valley. Very nice operator, there is always someone helping if needed. Many different sections available in nine difficulty levels. Also out of season, September and October, open three days a week.
Great fun, some scary high ropes though!!
My kids had a blast. Wish they had something like this in California
Fantastic. Friendly staff and great activities.
Good place for children

We stayed a night here in our motorhome with the France Passion programme. It was amazing..peaceful, clean toilets, drinking water, a lovely woodland to walk around and a 20min hike up to the village to see and walk the footbridge. The museum itself is lovely, run by very welcoming staff.
Great toy museum. Lots to look at including interactive learning for the little ones. Games room is wonderful (for all ages). Our two year old had so much to do, and we had lots of fun playing with lots of old table games. Good price too! Would recommend to all.
We didn't have time to go in to the museum, but the river beside is very fresh.
We were looking for a stop to amuse an 8 year old and we weren't disappointed. There was a selection of lovely hand crafted wooden toys for all ages to play on and to buy, but best of all was their salle de jeux - a games room full of amazing wooden games - pinball, Japanese pool and so many more.we spent all afternoon in there!
Lovely people, museum du bois absolutely fabulous.
Surprisingly original , very childfriendly, also interesting and a lot of toys , good fun
Interesting place for young and old.

Went in this morning. The young man behind the desk was extremely helpful and went out of his way to find info of towns and walks / cycle rides around area. Made every effort to ensure we had everything to explore!
Very helpful people. Can speak English which was a big help. Gave good advice
Good motorhome parking nearby and the section about the Cathar religion is well worth a visit.

(Translated by Google) Very interesting, especially the room of castle models. The story should be simplified for children through comic-book style sketches, as well as for newbies. No problem for me, I'll come back. 👍 (Original) Très intéressant, surtout la salle des maquettes des châteaux. Il faudrait simplifier pour les enfants l'histoire par des croquis genre bandes dessinées, ainsi que pour les néophytes.Pas de problème pour moi, je reviendrai. 👍
(Translated by Google) Very well received. We had the opportunity on several occasions to go to this tourist office. Always well informed and served. Special mention for the pretty posters on leftovers which have been placed in our home. (Original) Très bien accueillis. I have been fascinated by the Cathars and the Albigensian crusade, and to find a wonderful museum dedicated to the subject made me so happy. The exhibits are informative using multi media resources, which enhances the experience. My daughter knew nothing about this period in French history and was surprised at what she found out. Fantastic museum 👏
Lots of really interesting Information avaable in French and English. I think unfortunately said information isn't shown in an especially engaging manor. I'd imagine historical artifacts from the era are difficult to acquire but maps, replicas and displays would go along way to enhance a clearly fascinating subject.
The one and only museum about the Albigeois crusade and the cathar "heresy", in reality a nice depiction of this more open minded, primitive Christian movement of the 11th century in the middle age and the influence it has on monastery life, relationship betweem church and lay people and on the creation of the inquisition and the Dominican order. Sadly the bons hommes and bonnes femmes are not here anymore to share their culture and faith.
The "Maison des Mémoires" shows not only the recent history of bourgeois life in Mazamet, but also the history of the Cathars. Very impressive the models of the cathedral castles as well as the extensive information on the upper floor of the museum, which inform a little about the life and the mental attitude of the Katharer. A visit to the museum is definitely recommendable and the city of Mazamet and the historical region are beautiful and a worthwhile holiday destination.
I have been intetested in the Cathars for many years—and while this museum did not have artifacts or much “new” information about the Cathars it is well worth visiting. I still think Montsegur is the place to visit to get the feeling of the Cathars and read about them before visiting.
Great small museum. Carefully assembled to inform as well as to clear outdated beliefs about the Cathars and the Albigensian crusade. Written signs are in French, but the booklet for the museum is in English. There are tablets with generally brief explanations in both languages, which are WELL WORTH watching. There is one lengthy clip of a Consolamentum service. This is a society that left little physical evidence of its passing, so assembling a cohesive display took serious thought. Worth the 1.5 hour trip from Toulouse. The town is charming with nice folks and food.
Very specific subject so wouldn't interest everyone. For me it was fantastic. Well presented in both French and English. Very well organized in step by step teaching method.
When you have read a book of the cathars, you won't find anything new here

I had an amazing time here there r many thing u can do around other than just sitting by the lake the view is amazing i love this place
A beautiful setting with bars, restaurantes and childrens play area. Fantastic water to swim in.
Lovely swimming lake, with plenty of snack bars, picnic spots and activities for the kids. One part of the lake has life guards in the summer. Parking can be difficult on a hot day in the summer holidays.
This place is cool. There’s mini golf (putt putt) and a zip line thing. The beach is ok, a bit rough. But it’s a beautiful lake.
Great little lake up in the Black Mountains. Good hour's walk around it. In the Summer there're tree climbing courses and crazy golf.
The family had a fantastic time here in 30oC+ heat... It was busy busy busy (bank holiday weekend) but that's to be expected.
A very peaceful and calm place to visit. Lake can be swam in . Places to eat and drink.
Very nice place where to spend day out

Easy parking at the bottom for our motorhome, €3 for the day. Two routes to the top, the beginning of the red route had us puffing like steam trains, but it was worth it for the view. Had our two dogs with us and they crossed the metal bridge without hesitation. At the very top are a few restaurants, where you can get a meal, drink or ice-cream and some public toilets.
Pretty awesome suspension bridge with a 30 mins walk to get up to it. The medieval village was a bit of a disappointment though..... Not a lot to look at and everything closed when we were there in March. Good campervan parking area down below.
The paths are very steep. Anyone with physical issues will find this walk difficult to impossible to navigate. If you are going to take this walk, hiking boots or trainers are essential. You will also need bottled water.
You must walk a bit up the hill to reach the passerelle, but it’s manageable for most. And the passage and view is worth the effort!! The passage itself is not difficult: the bridge does literally not move in the wind and it is not very wide - still quite high. And it’s free! On the other side (after climbing a bit more) you reach Hautpoul, also totally worth a visit. With the visit of the medieval village it takes way more than an hour, but who’s in a hurry? And the way back is just going down, so easy peasy.
We went there with our parents. There were 2 paths, one that is steep and the other one more flat. The bridge and view were breathtaking ! However, if you come by car and park at the parking, you'll have to climb down the same way you went up.
Excellent walk and climb across the suspension bridge. Lovely small village at top with a few restaurants and bars.
So cool and beautiful place! The bridge is huge and scary a bit but it was definitely worth it! Recommend to visit this amazing place :)
The paths on either side of the footbridge can be quite rough. they are also steep. You can park for free. It is a super experience and the village of Hautpoul is delightful, although, again, the roads are quite steep. If you would like to eat try The Tavern just at the beginning of the actual village. Lovely people and food is well prepared and reasonably priced

Our family had a great afternoon of canyoning with Yannick, clearly experienced guide and very professional. None of the jumps are compulsory so really good for an introduction to canyoning.
