Castle Jindřichův Hradec not on the hard beaten tourist trail but still worth a visit.
It was amazing trip to this beautiful city with one of the biggest and oldest castles in whole country. The castle is impressive outside and inside with rich architecture, carefully preserved interior and amusing history. The view from rooftop is breathtaking.
Although Czechia has many attractive castles and mansions, this one belongs to top 5 to visit. Interirors are like left yesterday by the monarchs and the architecture is amazing. Enjoy this wonderful place.
Guide for Czech speaking people, and books for Slovak, German and English speakers. Staff very nice, and the place is stunning.
This castle is a must-see place in Jindrichuv Hradec especially for history minded people. For non Czech speaking visitors I recommend to take a guided tour in Your preferred language. Check the box office info picture for more info.
Not the prettiest castle on the outside but I loved the inside!
Unfortunately, castle was already closed when we visited this unique city, but on the outside it looks really interesting, especially the Black Tower.

Wonderful play of colors, music and gravity
Always is a very good and beautiful sight to behold, truly.
It was a beautiful show. Childrens like so much
Nice Aqua show inside of the building with the music played along (cca. 5min.), surely worth a see. Well, it just could be a bit longer. :-)
Super little Aqua show.
Unexpected pleasant surprise with this show off light, water and music...

What a stunning place overflowing with culture! Absolutely loved it! All 3 generations of us! The museum is amazing, loved all the expositions. Felt like my kids got a proper update on Czech history and culture. They loved the option of trying to shoot for a little extra. 10 out of 10!
A lovely gem of a museum. The apothecary area itself is worth the trip. There is a wide range of art from many periods. The animated Christmas Nativity has separate showings, and has an elevated platform so that children can view it.
Absolutely amazing and interesting experience. Excellent value. Warning - one hour is not enough!
Just so you know, as it's shown to be open, it's closed from 07.01 until the 31.03. damn shame.
Lovely exhibition. Worth to stop-by. Handicapped friendly.
Very nice experience.
A very nice museum and an impresive nativity scene.

Fantastic exhibitions and much to see in the permanent exhibition - glass art as well as old cinema film kit...
A newly renovated building with a lot of photo stuff inside. A good inspiration source for every photographer. I expected it to be more hardware oriented but still worth seeing anyway.
Good place to go if you are hungry for fine photo art and Dalí was fascinating
A nice place to refresh both body and soul.

At that time, over 20 houses on the walls were demolished and in their place were built two massive buildings intended for the Jesuits - a dormitory and later the opposite seminary. The dormitory was built by builder Martin Vlach. The southeast corner of the dormitory is adjacent to the western part of the nave of the chapel of St. Mary Magdalene. Nice place to visit with Family. We spent about three hours here, plus the time in the fast food, which I also rate positively. Nice new children's playground.
Great little zoo A lot of diversity in the animals. Everything was very clean and decorated for hallowen. We came at a weekday so sadley no food shops were open. Had a lovely time!
Cool little zoo for kids to see. They accept euros. Also, we went there in winter time and most of the animals were inside. So they take care of them and do not make them go out side to parade in front of the visitors. You can still most of them inside, where there is warmth. So dress this way, that you can easily take off your warm coats.
Most of the animals looked like they wanted to and were trying to escape 😞 Most notably, the lions, the raven and the meerkats. The camels also looked sad 1 star for free parking Visited the park this morning (photos of the brutal warning signs attached)
Worth visiting if you ever come nearby. The place is not big but still you can see a lot of animals. There are still some parts in development or closed to the visitors. Privately founded.
Super Zoo. Many beautiful animals. Children's corner and rest area. Choice ice cream and local specialties.
Nice small zoo. Quite a lot of different kinds of animals. Some animal enclosures were ok, some were too small. Nice environment. Entrance fee and parking ok. catering offer good but service not very efficient. Nice place to spent a few hours!
Beautiful Zoo, I have been here twice and I am very much looking forward to the next visit. At the moment they have additions of small monkeys and skunks - it is absolutely beautiful. The entire Zoo was very surprising and will always positively surprise again. Definitely a must visit.

I love it. Me and my boyfriend had a little date here. And it was so romantic. Nice view also a good looking vista. Only one issue was that there were bees.
Very nice lookout Tower, the top of the tower has nice sitting area, windfree
Very cool observation tower, modern and very solid.
Not really worth visiting. From the tower you are able to see the fields and forest in the neighborhood. Nothing special. The road that leads to the tower is only for pedestrians and bikes. You need to leave your car 1 km away from the tower and walk there.
Wonderful place! Opened 8am-8pm March to October. Free entrance.
Nice, good view, but closed during the winter time
Don't expect anything but the tower and the sight. Oh and there's a toilet there

Nice place, plenty of room to play and enjoy, good value for money, only charge per child not adults like other similar places, parked our car right at the front, friendly lady serving us and helping us out, plenty of drinks and simple food (toasties, filled tortillas, pizza, snacks including healthier options such as fruit and alt biscuits etc to choose from, heaps of toys, puzzles, equipment, books, activities, movables and ride ons to choose from. Loyalty card for returning customers. Only pity out little one didn't have anyone to play with, this was on Monday morning/lunch time in December so not surprising. Will definitely be back again soon.
Nice place to spend with kids and friends. And friend's kids :)

The original building used to be narrower, because between the town hall and the adjacent house No. 89 there was an alley with shops selling bread, hence the still used name for the passage "Chlebnice". After the fire in 1607, the town hall was expanded and the alley called Chlebnice was bridged, creating a covered passage from the square to the church. Next to the town hall at the entrance to the passage stood a stone pillory with shackles, which was removed from the square in the middle of the 18th century after the criminal jurisdiction of the city and the provincial judiciary was restricted, and today it is kept in the Jindřichohradecka Museum. After another fire in 1801, the building was so damaged that it had to be essentially rebuilt. The builder Václav Fiedler started the repair in the same year. The construction was completed according to his own plans from 1803 by the Jindřichohradec builder Josef Schaffer in 1807. In 1904, the tower behind the town hall, which served as the city prison, was demolished. On the second floor, there is a ceremonial hall equipped with furniture designed by the famous architect Jan Kotěra.
