The water tower in Sakskøbing was built in 1908 by Christiani & Nielsen. In connection with the restoration in 1982, the tower was decorated with a smiling face, designed by architect Flemming Skude. Before the inauguration, the project with the face was controversial in the local area, but later the 'smile' has become a landmark of the city, and now goes by the nickname 'Saxine'. The face of the tower was repainted in 2013.

In the middle of Torvet in Sakskøbing is the sculpture Roepigerne created by the sculptor Gottfred Eickhoff (1902 - 1982). The sculpture is a reminder of the working-class culture that in the years before and after 1900 had its heyday in Lolland's beet production. When there were not enough local hands for the work, every year from 1893 - 1929 women arrived from Poland, who worked during the season and went home again when the harvest was in house. Eickhoff's sculpture consists of two gifted women. The front, which holds a beet iron in one hand, is Polish, and the rear, which holds the Polish women over the shoulder, is Danish. The women also hold hands, and the sculpture thus symbolizes friendship across borders and integration. It is said that the mayor of Sakskøbing in the late 1930s had wanted a statue of a king, and was bitter about not getting his wish fulfilled. Fortunately, one can say, for Eickhoff's work is a very different and powerful tale of a marked epoch in Lolland's history.

The church is a late Romanesque brick building with a late Gothic tower. It was built around year 1200; in the following centuries, the original church was extended with a nave and tower. The present spire, which is 48 metres high, was built in 1852. The altarpiece, which dates back to the 1500th century, is a late Gothic wood carving from Lübeck. The pulpit from the culmination of the Renaissance with evangelist figures is from about 1620. Daniel Koehne, Copenhagen, built the church organ in 1866. Allen-organ was inuagurated in 2005.

(Translated by Google) A beautiful whitewashed village church, which was built around the year 1100. Døllefjelde church's choir is the nave of an older Romanesque church. The original church was quite small and therefore not used. In the 14th century, the new nave was built and a little later the tower. If a restoration in 1694, a sacristy on the south side of the choir was demolished. The same applied to the armoury, which was formerly located on the north side of the nave. Over the years, there were several complaints about its chestiness, and in 1855-56 it was demolished at the same time that the church's entrance was relocated to the tower, where there had probably been a material house until now. After belonging to the county of Knuthenborg since 1714, the church passed into private ownership on 1 July 1911 (Original) En smuk hvidkalket landsbykirke, som er bygget omkring år 1100.
(Translated by Google) Døllefjelde, village 9 km southeast of Sakskøbing. Sankt Kjeld's Chapel was built in 1266 as a small pilgrimage church near Sankt Kjeld's Kilde (a well can be found northeast of the rectory). The popularity of the holy spring led to an expansion of the chapel in the 1300s and 1400s, and it now appears as Døllefjelde Church. Every year a large spring market was held on Michaelmas Day, 29 September. Since 1980, the tradition has been revived with the Døllefjelde-Musse Krämmermarked during the Great Prayer Day holiday.
